The crow is a dream motif, crows possess intelligence and can remember the faces of humans they like.
The crow represents your Shadow, the part of you that is unknown and possibly dangerous. That's why it can appear close to both others and yourself, appearing to be always watching and close by. Carl Jung's book Man and his Symbols will be useful if you want to fully explore this topic.
The crow is showing you an ancient symbol which actually comes from ancient Egypt. It's about knowing yourself and coming to fully realize what exactly you are. So, it's likely you've been reaching within, wondering what you can do to get clarity and control over your life/future. You are serious about this, therefore the crow uses a stick in its mouth, and "goes the extra mile" for you.
The 1-on-1 interaction represents coming closer to understanding the dark, deep side of your personality.
Two major reasons:
Lack of practice:
you should try and improve your dream recall, as soon as you wake up from a dream (day dreams and hallucinations included) you should write them down in a dream journal. I'm not going to tell you how to use a dream journal effectively bc you can read but if you want to I can write down a long text wall xd
Unhealthy "waking habits":
But talking about your waking up habits is the biggest part. You should wake up to natural light, with quiet environment. You should try if you can not to move and only think about your dream and tell it to yourself. After that write it down in the DJ, it can be a notebook, phone, pc, whatever works for you. Just try to get as less exposure to unnatural light as you can.
I for example, use a dream journal app, and I have my phone on the lowest brightness with blue filter. That's bc I can't write down when I wake up. I once tried it and when I was fully I wake I saw my DJ and the text was "~~~~~~~".
If you tend to move right when you wake up like I do to turn off the alarm or something, just return to your waking position. It will help you recall more of the dream, and at least from my experience it got me used to stay in my waking position.
Except for that if you have an alarm clock on your phone to wake you up try to set it to your light sleep stage (Google how to do it) and I recommend getting an app with the "smart awakening" feature that plays a low volume calm alarm that will wake you even better in your light sleep. I use "timely": https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.bitspin.timely

Hope you succeed recalling your dreams! :)
I had a dream a few months ago right after I read How To Win Friends and Influence People. I dreamed that I went to his office to try and suck up to him as a way to prove my new skills. I complimented his office and got him to talk about his personal life. He seemed really lonely...
Funny enough, I had looked up 'Daymare' and the description sounded even worse than a nightmare.
So the word that one would think would make sense is already taken :(
But yeah I've had these 'good' dreams about twice that I can remember.
I've had way more nightmares. But in general most of my dreams lie in neutral territory.

Carl Jung said that alien entities can be a way of symbolizing the forces of the unconscious mind. The unconscious is "alien" to most people because they don't even know it exists, yet it is very real and very much part you. My guess is your experience as a child was a dream that connected you with your unconscious, and the aliens is a way of symbolizing the experience.
Children are more open to experiences of the "deep mind." I'm reading a book by a physicist who, later in life, remembered that he used to astral project as a child. He could leave his body and have crazy adventures. He had "guides" who spoke with him telepathically. He was 8-9 y/o when it happened. Then the door closed and didn't reopen until years later when he was part of experiments into psi abilities, and he relearned his ability to astral project.
Anyway, I tell you that anecdote as an example of the crazy shit kids can do naturally that adults, for one reason or many, can't. My guess is you dreamed the experience and the alien aspect is simply your mind's best way of describing it. Carl Jung wrote a book about the UFO phenomenon from a psychological perspective. - links to reference to the book and a summation of Jung's thoughts.
Just keep an eye on it, sleep apnea can be a serious medical issue.
It doesn't always cause the sufferer to wake up.
Check out the symptoms here.
Too big a question for a reddit post. Short answer may be found here, in the second essay Relations between the Ego and the Unconscious":
Here's a link to my book at B&N
I also have a shelfari page with dream book recommendations.
My book is good for what you want to accomplish with your dad because it's written for laymen. Another good one is Ann Faraday's The Dream Game and Dream Power. I really like The Dream Game. It's longer and gets a bit more psychological, but is still pretty easy to read.
Have you tried writing a diary of your dreams? I’m sure that writing it all down may lead you to some insights you haven’t noticed so far. And, you say you’re dominant kind of person and you can’t see the link between your dominance (in reality) and your helplessness (in dreams), but maybe the link is that you’re afraid of losing your dominance. I don’t know anything about you, but have you always been dominant? Or did you have to work on achieving that? If you had to work on it, your dreams can for sure indicate that you’re just afraid of losing everything you’ve worked on. I don’t know, I’m just guessing. And, if it’s not that, you just might be going through some tough period and have a lot on your mind. In that case, I would suggest that you try to relax and focus on something nice before going to bed. Find a reason to wake up happy tomorrow and try to keep that in your mind before falling asleep, rather than to worry about how you’re going to have a bad dream again. And, if you find it difficult, you can always go with some relaxation music, audio books, meditation and stuff like that.
Your insight about the hyena is right on. Anytime a dream presents a duality in the dream characters you first wonder if you're seeing something about yourself. The "conflict of opposites." Your work in therapy would benefit from focusing on this conflict.
You can help things along by asking what the hyena and the cat need to come together within you. Both are valid and deserving of being consciously integrated, rather than taking one over the other. For example, it might appear on the surface that the cat is preferable over the hyena, but what if the hyena represents your ability to protect yourself from having your affectionate nature taken advantage of?
Dr. Carl Jung is a premier expert in healing the conflict of opposites. I did a quick search and found something that might be helpful for you:
Cmme I'm so glad I could be of help. Thank you so much for asking about my book which contains MANY Dream and Nightmare Interpretations. It is available on Amazon, ans as you red this the Audio Version is being made by the publisher and distributor Inner Traditions/Simon & Schuster. https://www.amazon.com/Dreams-That-Save-Your-Life/dp/1844097447/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1517198641&sr=8-1
Sounds like part of your unconscious mind is already totally enlightened. I would meditate like crazy if you have the time because you’re already close. You’ve experienced what you’re looking for. The best books on meditation I’ve read are The Mind Illuminated by John Yates and Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha by Daniel Ingram. A lot of dharma books are really vague but these are very specific and very thorough and they get very advanced. Also, Dream Yoga is a book about pretty much what you described.
Could be about learning to open a way for communication(Spanish teacher). The "baby" being the potential growth of those relationships through communication. The dominance/conflict road only breeds an uneasy peace, whereas opening a dialogue and creating a true relationship/friendship ensures a real peace. It is to bypass those who choose to live by dog-eat-dog rules, and talk to the people who have those tendencies restrained.
Getting to Yes could be a book to help you in that regard.

Hey r/dreams, my latest book is out and the publisher agreed to give away 5 copies in a promotional drawing. Leave a comment and it will be your entry. Winners announced on Dec. 7. We hope you love the book enough to tell your friends.
I would say that don't think too much about this... Focus your time reading books etc...
I still haven't research about sleep paralysis so I will leave this website with some advise...
Thanks for your kind words.
He would benefit from this book:
It's excellent.
I also recommend Laura Doyle and Alison Armstrong. They both have excellent books on relationships. Those are more for women though.
Yes, thanks. I asked "the universe" to show me my perfect mate, and then, "things" started to happen.
He can also try brainwave music via headphones to relax. He may have PTSD from his other job. He can get that type of music on Amazon, or from other places like BandCamp for not much money. Men have difficulty with self-care, so it sounds like he needs to do that more. Good luck.
I've been looking for the same, let me know if you have any good recommendations! Right now I've only read this book which talks a lot about the history of dreaming/perspectives on it/research in the field, and since you mentioned maybe being interested in Jung there's a collection of his works on dreams here (just started reading it).
I think all you dreamers and lucid dreamers would really appreciate the journey!

It's called sleep paralysis:
>Sleep paralysis is a feeling of being conscious but unable to move. It occurs when a person passes between stages of wakefulness and sleep. During these transitions, you may be unable to move or speak for a few seconds up to a few minutes. Some people may also feel pressure or a sense of choking.

I experienced it a couple of times as a teenager. I heard my mom whisper or would see static on a TV in my room (I didn't actually have a TV in my room...).
> The Superego is a Freudian concept: http://www.britannica.com/topic/superego Freud gets rubbished a lot now but some of his ideas are still pretty brilliant or at least food for thought. Hope your anxiety gets better soon
This is apparently a common dream. I've had them a handful of times.
>Dreams in which teeth fall out of your mouth (or crumble, break, etc.) are among the most common in the world.
>One of the oldest interpretations of this dream is that it portends death, often for a friend or relative of the dreamer. A scholar named Campbell Bonner, writing in the journal Classical Philology in 1906, traced the lineage of this superstition from ancient Greek writers like Herodotus and Artemidorus through medieval dream books and the folklore of modern cultures, including the rural American South.
>Many other interpretations have also been suggested; unsurprisingly, though, no single meaning has been “settled on,” nor has science definitively established why certain dreams are more common than others across cultures. Of course, losing teeth is an early, memorable, universal human experience, so perhaps it’s inevitable that it would “stick” in our psyches.
>In psychoanalytic theory the falling out of teeth is often seen as representative of losing something precious. Hence it is also related to the broad concept of “castration”—in which one becomes limited or powerless in some way. As Freud and many of his followers have stated, dream symbols and events should generally be deciphered as their own entity without reference to any universal meaning. They are closely related to the dreamer’s own psyche and personal history.
http://genius.com/Your-subconscious-dream-about-teeth-falling-out-annotated
Edit: If I were to guess I'd say it has to do with memories of losing teeth as a child. I've noticed when I have these dreams I recall and "feel" all the sensations I remember from when I lost my baby teeth like the texture of a loose tooth in your mouth.
I have run across quite a few posts from people saying that something happened to them physically in a dream and they woke up with marks or bruises correlating with their dream. In his book 3 Only Things Robert Moss writes about a dream where he dreamed he was someone else that got shot in the chest. He woke up with welts on this chest where the bullets hit. He figured out that he was dreaming about being Mussolini when he was executed.
I'd like to know more about your experiences with your dreams being taken over. I was asked by George Noori on Coast to Coast about the ability to enter and influence dreams. I didn't know much about it at the time, but since then I've talked to a couple of shamans and some people deeply involved in esoteric practice, and I'm convinced it can happen...and does happen. But the ability is very rare. As for dream beings, yeah, that sounds interesting too. I can tell from your post that you really know how to differentiate an ordinary dream from an extraordinary one, and to me it says you are more likely to know what you are talking about.
Dreams can incorporate physical sensations, so I wouldn't be surprised. But the perfume of tears ....read this
In descending order of how well they're worked for my dream recollections:
Being woken during dreams can help you remember them, but it can also distort the dream, or produce stress.
Having a cup of coffee and a way to write down the dream within seconds of waking helps with a lot of the dreams I'd otherwise forget when I drift back off.

Sounds like the IT Clown to me.
I take these. I think I have developed a bit of a resistance to them over time and I have to take two a day instead of one in order to feel like they're working. I really hope to eventually get some professional help, but I'm not financially in a position to do so yet myself.
That particular bottle might be a bit new-agey looking to your family, but fortunately there are other supplements out there that are in more generic-looking bottles. I just linked that one because it's one that I've been taking for a while.
If your family gets weird about the supplements, you can tell them that simply taking it as a sleep aid - and that is in fact one of the many uses of these supplements! Some people take it for diet as well.
This version is the one that I originally started taking; the bottle is a bit more generic-looking, if that's important in your situation. I actually liked this version better than the Dr. Emil version, but for some reason this stuff became unavailable for several months.
Now that I see it's back, I just may go back to it! I remember it giving me a more profound serenity than Dr. Emil's does. It may have something to do with the fact that this stuff is meant to be taken in 3 doses per day where Emil is 1 a day.
I hope you're able to find something that works for you and doesn't raise the ire of your family! I feel bad for people who are expected to just 'suck it up and deal with it' because of their family's distrust of modern medicine.

Think of the groups of people you associate with, those you have fun with, those that are really nice to you and sometimes even too nice, despite the fact that you may not have known them for too long... The dream seemed a little specific, that is why I am mentioning this. (Or perhaps you haven't even met this group yet - that is also possible)
In the dream world, 5 miles could easily correspond to 5 years. Most likely this dream is giving you a 5 year outlook on your life.
That "5 miles" was the initial clue for me that this was a precognitive/prophetic dream.
Then I saw the second clue which made me feel more certain of my theory when you mentioned the town's name: Medina.
Medina is one of the holiest cities in Islam and means the city of Prophet http://www.ask.com/question/what-does-medina-mean
I did all of it in OpenToonz. It's a great free open source program. Here's the link https://opentoonz.github.io/e/
But there is a steep learning curve, and sometimes it can be hard to find resources online for it. Although the number of video and written tutorials is growing. For the audio I used MusicMaker, but that is a paid program for Windows. It's kind of like Garageband for Windows.
Also there's an OpenToonz subreddit where you can find answers to your questions sometimes.
It's been my pleasure. My shelfari page has quite a few recommended books about dreams, if you feel like going further with the subject. If there's something specific you want to read about, give me a shout and I can point you in the right direction. I've been studying this subject for longer than most reddit users have been alive ;)
That's the thing, I've never played golf (besides mini golf ages ago) and no one in my family plays it.
Here's a recording of a previous dream that had a club http://www.4shared.com/music/lznd1oE_/Memo.html
I recorded it as I was driving home from work at 7am on 11/10/12. When I refer to Mike he is whom i work for, I'm a personal aide and was working the night shift so i had to sleep at his house. Tarzan and Joker are close friends.
Love your excitement u/Heyhellloo! Yes, I started creating DreaMe as a result of my own frustration with *all* (and believe me, I tried them all) the dream apps out there. Like you say, just a dream "dictionary" using the simplest ancientest of technologies to arbitrarily assign values to keywords you enter. You are not taken into account. *YOU*, who's mind conjured the dream! Forgive me but this is absolute horse youknowwhat.
So yes! While we cannot release the actual dream analysis for another 3-4 weeks, you can sign up to our messenger chatbot and she will soon be filled wsith A.I. wisome :) https://www.messenger.com/t/mydreamchat We already have some fun content up and you will be one of the first to get notified on any next phases, added features etc. Ultimately we will move off messenger and onto a mobile app, but this is a good way for us to test both the technology and the market fit.
The greatest thing that most people with low dream recall are missing out on (they tend to remember only horrific anxiety ones, is that we have the full range of experiences, just like in life – only much enhanced! So I wonder if you can give any context about the odd/funny dream? Do you have a sense of where you were, even if just "open/closed, familiar/unfamiliar space"? Was anyone one else in there? Any sense of what made you call it "odd" or laugh so hard?
Hello!
I'm doing a project on dreams and need to collect as many as I can! I have created an online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BRNS9YB and would be hugely grateful if you had a minute to send me a description of any dreams that you can remember having. It doesn't matter if you had the dream last night or last year, so long as you can remember it, or even just bits of it.
A description of the places, people, events etc that feature in your dream and how the dream made you feel would be a huge help.
Any description you can give is useful and would really appreciate anything you can give!
Thanks,
Scarlet

I've moderated this sub since 2012 and learned a lot about how to explain dream interpretation simply and effectively. You challenged me to give you a book you can read in two hours that sums up my vast teachings. Challenge accepted!
My previous book was 480 pages -- The Dream Interpretation Dictionary by J.M. DeBord. Yeah, kinda thick. Took me three years to write that beast. It was worth it though -- read the reviews at Amazon. It was a bestseller when it came out in 2017.
You can read my Crash Course in two hours. In the first ten minutes you get my 3 simple facts about dreams and 3 simple steps for interpretation. Then I demonstrate my dream interpretation process on numerous examples I borrowed mostly from this sub and all you great redditors who share your dreams with me.
I'd love to hear what you think after you read the book. And if you'd be so kind to leave a review at Amazon, it would help me a bunch. Thank you!
This is pretty good.
Take a look at my book of dreams. You might like painting a "Snake Whip Master" or a "Puggy Fug."
I dreamt about a rescue mission. I was rescuing a long black haired girl, her long hair covering her left eye, wearing a black tight sweater and blue jeans from a helicopter for some reason, then she ditched the ride and she went onto someone else's houee for shelter. Just as I entered the house and claimed that something I own is here, she jumped up on me and pinned me to the ground. I said hey, she told me to kiss her and proceeded to kiss me so passionately. I've never experienced a kiss before so that feeling was heavenly. I then remembered she and I moved "our" stuff to the stranger's house. She seemed to be a YouTuber/video entertainer. The owner was worried about his cyberprotection because his computer was showing in the background with everything he works on fully displayed- somehow I went into "NORDVPN!" mode aka asking if he paid his NordVPN charge, he said yes and I told him that he shouldn't worry then. then I woke up.
I suspect that we were secret lovers and that I was supposed to hand her over and/or snitch where she is. She might've ditched the ride to lose them.
I might have not even been working for the people who were ordering around, I might have been eavesdropping on them. I have no clue.
But god how much I loved it, I wish I could get to dream of her again
I'm glad to see that you have found a resource to help you understand your dreams. dream dictionaries get a lot of flak from critics who say they can't really help you interpret your dreams. but a good dream dictionary at least gives you a place to begin. it's a good supplemental resource.
as the author of a dream dictionary I have had some of that flak directed at me. in my book I attempt to teach dream interpretation in the dictionary entries, such as how to use association and understand symbols in context. but if you read the top critical review at Amazon you see that some people don't appreciate that the book doesn't just tell them what their dreams mean, instead it gives them the tools to figure it out for themselves.
here is the link if you're interested. https://www.amazon.com/Dream-Interpretation-Dictionary-Symbols-Meanings/dp/1578596378
I also created a website that teaches my way of interpreting dreams. https://dreams123.com.
As the author of the best damn dream dictionary ever, I use my intuition and feelings. Please don't tell my publisher :)
I follow Carl Jung's advice about interpreting dreams. He said, first learn as much as you can about symbolism. The better dream dictionaries will provide possibilities about what a dream symbol can mean, but they can't contextualize it, and when they get specific they tend to be off base. But Jung said to forget about symbolism and everything else such as theories and concepts while interpreting a dream. The reasoning is, dreams are experiences people give themselves in order to realize or know something. You create your dreams, therefore you know subconsciously what they mean.
That's why I use intuition and feelings. They are more closely connected with subconscious parts of the mind than reason or intellect. Knowing a lot about symbolism helps, and a good dream dictionary will provide many possibilities for each dream symbol to ponder. But it's secondary.
You might enjoy reading "Heads-up Dreaming" by Professor Carlyle Smith. "Heads-up" means that the dreams are precognitive--they can warn you about events in the future--and he emphasizes that precognitive dreams may concern pending health issues.
Aww that's great! I really hope the best for you!

Great! Glad it helped. Synchronicity is a really cool thing. I also enjoy Buddhism as a philosophy.
I think I might know the koan from a book I've read. You've said earlier you're not religious, so this book might not be for you (it's got a quasi-new age religion bent? It's my thing, but it's not for everyone, so feel free to give it a miss if so. You do you.) and it's called "Sidewalk Oracles: Playing with signs, symbols, and synchronicity in everyday life"
It basically talks about "if you notice a hunch or weird coincidence, go with it. You might even be able to force them into happening by doing X, Y, Z." But it's sorta.. "The Secret" style "well just wish it into being and consider that everything might be a message, no such thing as coincidence" style thinking. So.. YMMV.

There's so many sources and info on out-of-body experiences. Just google it and pick and choose for yourself. If you want my recommendation, read the biography of the guy who brought OBEs into the mainstream today:
By the way, here's another option for you:
Tony Crisp's dream dictionary. Tony is a bit more "Jungian," meaning he goes into more depth about the inner workings of the mind and how they're reflected in dreams.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm fortunate to have found my mission in life and have the means to do it.
If you're looking for home audio to run into your computer, I suggest the focusrite package. I have the same issue with buzz in the audio of my computer so I use a preamp running into a usb port. Gives me a lot more control of the audio input and focusrite is known for its audio preamps. You can get just the preamp instead of the package, if that's what you need.
I also wrote a book that contains 2,500 symbols and 10,000 interpretations, which you can find here: https://www.amazon.com/Dream-Images-Symbols-Dictionary-Breakthroughs/dp/0876044887/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494442013&sr=8-1&keywords=dreams%2C+images+and+symbols
Have you tried white noise?
I tend to sleep a lot better with my air filter on, which doubles as a white noise machine. They also have apps for that now. Doesn't need to be loud, just enough to help clear the mind.
Works for some. Doesn't workk for others.
Step down on the melatonin don't go cold turkey on it if you've been hitting it hard. This will help with "withdraw".
As for nerves or relaxing, instead of weed, try Kava. They don't drug test for that. It is a natural neuroinhibitor.
A bit bitter (it's a pepper plant) but for me it works.
I have been told that my book, THE BEST DREAM BOOK EVER, is one of the easiest step-by-step approaches. You can find it at this link: https://www.amazon.com/Best-Dream-Book-Ever-Accessing/dp/0984567275/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494269789&sr=8-1&keywords=the+best+dream+book+ever
You say I read dreams like a book, and I wrote a book about dreams. You didn't know at the time how accurate you are!
What do you think of the dream? Do you see an analogy using the two boats?
I recently started taking Dopa Mucuna, and have noticed some positive differences in non-lucid dreaming.
This supplement provides a precursor to dopamine. It's possible that only people who need dopamine support will see results with this.
During the day, I have a higher sense of mental well-being, even people around me commented on this. My dreams have been easier to remember, and somewhat more colorful.
Now - about a week after I started taking this supplement I picked up an exercise bike-I was motivated to do this partially because of my improved mental state. During the first week of taking the supplement by it's self I noticed some positive changes in my dreaming and mood, after two weeks of exercising everyday, and taking this supplement, it's like I've leveled up. I'm remembering multiple dreams every night, consistently, and my mood and energy levels during the day are elevated. I'm not new to exercise, but the last 3 years I've been stuck in a sedentary rut. These last 3 years have been mostly crap for dreaming and my dream journal reflects this. Are the supplements helping with dreaming? Probably a little bit. Getting myself into a better physical/emotional/mental state has done wonders.
Hi WildHoney Child!
I certainly feel that dreams can be messages. I once wrote a book based on dreams of dreamers worldwide. I describe the "journey of the soul" that we make after our death according to our dreams. The loved ones of most dreamers need a bit of time to get accustomed to their new sense of being, after integrating in their new state of being the death usually look better, younger and more healthy. Some people have to give the deceased relatives the message that they are really death and some have to help them make the leap into the other realm of being (https://www.amazon.com/Dreamers-guide-through-land-deceased/dp/1304102696/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461152633&sr=8-1&keywords=susanne+van+doorn) I think that there is also an epigenetic connection that keeps the information of your family members alive in you. But as always, dreams are only relevant if you explain them yourself. i hope I have been able to give you more insight into your dreams.
What a great dream experience. These experiences really illustrate that dreams have far more potential than we currently understand. And experiences like these - that ask us to open our minds to a much bigger reality - are why I love dreams so much.
I personally don't have any experience with shared dreaming, but I am familiar with the concept and have heard stories from others who have had similar experiences as you. Robert Moss writes a lot about this and you can find more in his book Active Dreaming.
This seems odd.
It would be more constructive and useful of your time, instead, to learn how to read your dreams. I suggest Man and His Symbols.
> maybe something is going on with him and he wants to talk.
I wondered the same thing. You have no direct way of knowing that, but we have unconscious connection with everyone, especially with people like family and friends. It wouldn't hurt to reach out. Just remember what was said about the manufacturer.
Yeah, reading about a subject is known to spark dreams. So reading about dreams sparks dreams! Carl Jung said that often when starting therapy with a new client, the client would have a dream that revealed the underlying dynamics of why the person needed his help. He said it was like the unconscious mind of the person talked directly to him, giving him the clues and information he needed to make the therapy a success.
And for anyone reading this who is not familiar with Dreams 1-2-3, it's a book I wrote about dream work. LINK
Dreams can be interpreted largely by looking at how they make you feel, and what the symbolism can mean. They are known for taking real-life situations and making them strange. Let's look at some examples:
Stalking your crush -- Being afraid of just talking with her directly, or keeping an eye on her from a distance, maybe related to feeling jealous of attention she gives other guys.
Wandering streets -- Feeling aimless. Looking for your place in life. Feeling like you don't belong.
Abandoned train stations -- Times of life that have passed. The desire to move forward in your life. Giving up on big responsibilities or ideas.
It's too late tonight to go into an overview of dream interpretation. The tips I gave you are a start. This book is a really bomb introduction to the subject. It's written for beginners.
If you go to my blog and subscribe, you'll be sure to get a notification. Otherwise, I'll try to remember you when the book is published. It's probably a year away from being ready.
I wrote a book about dreams if you're interested in taking a look. It's more of a general look at dream work and interpretation.
You know when an interpretation is on target when it "clicks" with you. To know more about how to interpret your own dreams, I suggest this book
You're welcome :)
Your animus will never leave you, but the relationship can fail to develop. Remember that she's the same woman with a thousand different faces. She expects every one of her many incarnations to be treated with the same respect, including the ones you don't find attractive. It's a test from your subconscious. All the waitress was doing was speaking her mind; it's no harm to you if you're complimented. The girl's trying to work it a little, have some fun with you. She can't get lucky if she doesn't try ;)
So relax, and the next time she's in your dreams, see what else she has to say. The setting of the dream and her white outfit make me think that you have the ability to develop a relationship with your inner woman (which is called anima, btw. animus is the inner man in female psyches). The inspiration she can give will lift any depression, but you have to play the game her way or she won't respond. You make it possible with your willingness, and your ability to relax in any situation and feel your way through, to be kind and receptive to everyone -- at least initially.
If you want to know more, look up "He: Understanding Male Psychology" by Robert Johnson. He's written more about the anima/animus in other books, but this one is a good place to start. Take care.
