This is not just a sales ploy. I have been hearing this for a while and it had been stepped up lately. Having Garber see Nippert in action first hand helped. If the Crew move to Austin in 2019 they would also be playing in a college venue. Berding also said tonight that FCC will build the the 2018 roster to win in the USL. If we get a MLS bid in December, they will start signing even higher calibre players they can take into a 2019 MLS season. So look at it like 2 pots. A giant pot of money to grab some big USL signings and a massive pot of money to grab impressive MLS signings. He also said they have watched Atlanta vs Minnesota MLS philosophy and have learned a lot. Berding tonight is here. https://www.iheart.com/podcast/Lance-McAlister-20799901/episode/lance-with-fc-cincinnati-general-manager-28589707/?cmp=web_share
Maybe the patchy facial hair is the explanation in this situation..... Maybe that is the "bite mark" the ref saw, but who knows for sure.
Baseline comparison pic of McCabe Looks less of a bite mark, but is definitely patchy in that location.
I have several avenues i can go. My preference is that i can actually watch it on DirecTVNow. They recently added Star64. But, I can see that being an issue. Case in point. The Bengals preseason games were not on Channel 12 on DirecTVNow last summer because they "didn't pay streaming rights" for the airing. So I got a lovely this program isn't available in your area error message.
Backup plan, i have an antenna that actually works ok'ish for Star 64.
Backup backup plan, use IPVanish and ESPN + on my Iphone and airplay to my apple tv.
Backup backup backup plan, i have a pc that has a tuner card in it that is connected to an antenna that faces the outside via a front window. I can record the games on Star64 with that and upload to my burner Google Drive account, cause stick it to the man.
I like to imagine he's pulling a yellow card out of his ass
Forecast for Saturday is 73 with only a 20% chance of rain. (https://weather.com/weather/weekend/l/USOH0188:1:US)
I thought I read that they've increased the season ticket base to near 5500.
This is exam week for UC, so there will be a lot of students looking to blow off steam this weekend.
I don't think we'll get near 20K and probably not 15K, but I think 11-13K is definitely possible.
I've been using NordVPN for about six months now and I have to say that it has not disappointed me yet so I recommend it as a solid choice. I use it on my pc but it works on other devices too. No noticeable slowdown when browsing websites, only a slight reduction in download speed but that's not surprising
These are unedited, uncropped, etc -- just wanted to get them posted before the match was too long past. I'll have the full album (1300+ photos, lol) up on my Flickr in the next day or two. All these photos are free to use under the CC Attribution license, so feel free to do whatever you want with them so long as you give me credit! :)
Every game is only available online through Flo if you are in the blackout area. The exception to this is games that are nationally broadcast, you can watch them through espn/FS1 if you can log in to their streaming with your cable provider credentials.
Of course, every game that is not on espn/FS1 can be watched on star64 with an over the air antenna.
Or, on a desktop browser, you can use a VPN to appear outside of the Cincinnati area and use ESPN+ but even that has mixed results. With Private Internet Access, I’ve only gotten the Florida server to work, NYC, Chicago, West Coast severs appear to be black listed by ESPN. VPNs don’t work on mobile because the ESPN app requires location permissions and uses GPS/Cell tower location data to determine your location, regardless of where your IP address says you are.
And then there are always a few illegal streams that float around from time to time. But the websites are kinda sketchy.
Ideally I'd shoot every shot with a speed of 1/1000s, but this isn't practical with my lens (70-300mm f/4-5.6) as the evening goes on and the stadium gets darker. A high shutter speed means that less light gets into the lens, so I have to compensate for this either by opening the aperture wider, or by increasing the ISO/sensitivity (which makes the picture grainier). I'm already shooting with the aperture as wide open as it'll go, so I have to strike a compromise between shutter speed and ISO to get an image that's not too blurred and not too grainy. At the start of the match when it was still bright out, I was shooting at ISO 800 and 1/1000s, but by the end of PKs, I was at ISO 2500 and 1/500s.
The ball is kinda blurry sometimes at 1/500s (and even at higher speeds -- this photo was taken at 1/800 and the ball is a complete smear), but the players tend to still look relatively motionless, and that's what really matters.
As always, these photos are all CC BY licensed so you can basically do whatever you want with them as long as you credit me (Hayden Schiff). If you want all my photos from today uncompressed, they'll be on my Flickr as soon as the upload finishes. EDIT: https://www.flickr.com/photos/oxguy3/sets/72157674656049987
I got a new one this week and have it placed in the South facing window upstairs. I live in Sycamore Twp. I get all locals but Ch.12.
Placement can be key. A few feet in another direction can make a difference when you place indoors. Each time you try a new placement, rescan for channels.

Defiantly doesn't work on mobile (location services required) also not working on my macbook, windows PC. Private Internet Access VPN, servers in Chicago, Seattle, Florida. No good. Espn is doing something screwy with VPNs it looks like. If I turn off the VPN and try to watch the Germany/Netherlands game it works fine.

That's a damn shame. With a pretty decent antennae, I can get the game, but I'm in an apartment building, so I am getting all sorts of interference and I lose my signal every few minutes. Not exactly ideal.

I really appreciate that the team has made my options so great. I can pay for cable to get a decent Star 64 signal... which is crazy stupid to pay for cable for one channel that is freely broadcast OTA.. or Flo sports. Even youtube Tv doesn't work.

There has to be a better alternative than this. Its like they don't want people to be able to watch the games on TV.
Also if you're looking for a good free VPN, we use WindScribe. You get 2 gb free per month, or 10 gb free per month if you confirm your email. One game is normally 1.5gb for us. We connect through Canada and it works great.
I think the FCC FO found the same replacement for GC that I did.
Sorry didn't see your response until now. If you're trying to watch on ESPN+ I've noticed they block some VPNs, which is obnoxious. I've had success with NordVPN and just picking a different city within the United States and have had success. I'm sure there are plenty of other VPNs that work as well. I know surfahark stopped working for me at one point.
Looks like Sierra Leone has an upcoming match: June 10 vs Kenya (qualifier for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations). Don't know if Mansaray will be playing, but I'll be rooting for them!

I love FlashScore for following Premier League/etc, and they've got Cincinnati as well (and they actually have the schedule right): http://www.flashscore.com/team/fc-cincinnati/8btog05R/. I think they should have real-time coverage for USL games, though I've only been using it since after the last USL season ended so I'm not positive.
Frontier airlines has a ticket from CVG into FT Lauderdale for only just over $100. Leave Tuesday afternoon get back Thursday afternoon
Seemed pretty heavily in favor here. I see some political posturing. If the county can do it.. why not me? Says PG..
I get perfect HD Star 64 with the little stick antenna that comes with this tuner box: Amazon
I plug in an external hard drive so I can record and replay later like a DVR.
I was having that problem. This link will take you to it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.venuetize.fcc&hl=en_us
I bought this antenna and it worked great during the match today. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078PQK4KJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Though that's not necessarily true. There's even a book on it. https://www.amazon.com/Price-Admission-Americas-Colleges-Outside/dp/1400097975
However, while we do know there is wiggle room in the SSS requirement, we also know that we don't meet the requirements for that exception.
Apple App Store (if incorrect please let me know, as I have an Android device and cannot verify this as a store link on iPhone)
