Bought this one on Amazon. I would recommend going to Best Buy to pick up the Micro SD card you need because the descriptions on Amazon for High Speed Micro SD cards are really misleading and I ended up getting the wrong one twice.
But this one works great easy to install, quality and picture is awesome, even will record video when the car is off if it thinks the car was hit in the parking lot.

Comes w/ $20 cash card, so you can get a membership and a tub of this stuff for the cost of admission.
There are also helicopter rides available, and I think Hot Air Baloon rides as well, but that'll take some googling. You might want to check Groupon, as they sometimes have cool things like that.
Edit: Groupon can be cool: https://www.groupon.com/deals/greatest-generation-aircraft-17?deal_option=797949e7-42fc-47ac-92d1-d91a1d40c07f One 40-Minute Holiday-Lights Flight Tour for One In WWII Vintage Douglas C-47 $99
The master bedroom in my Airbnb house opens up tomorrow for two weeks. I wish I had more availability, but you're welcome to stay there if you need a place while you continue looking for a more permanent solution. It's usually $40-45/night but you seem like a responsible guy so I could do $20/night if you don't mind providing references and a photo ID.
Maybe check out this book? link to Amazon
I got it a few years back and found it interesting.
EDIT: For the link-averse, the book is called Haunted Fort Worth by Rita Cook
I run an Airbnb by White Settlement and have a room available if you're interested. It's just a room though and not an apartment. Just PM me and we can work out the details.
To answer your question though, Airbnb is the best for room shares in my opinion. This is because of the rating system and flexibility that the platform provides. If you're planning to stay for at least a month, just PM the hosts and see if they're willing to work something out. To my knowledge, I don't know of any apartments that will let you stay a week.
Another option is one of those inn things that rent out on a weekly basis. I've seen them, but haven't stayed at one so I can't give any recommendations.
If you're looking for a two bedroom apartment, Google man. Sorry that I don't have a better answer for you on that one. Personally I just pick where I want to stay and start a spreadsheet of the different apartments nearby that look promising and start calling and keeping notes.
If you're okay with not an apartment, Zillow, Hotpads, and Trullia are excellent. In addition to Airbnb, I'm also a mom and pop landlord and I use Zillow Rental Manager (formally Postlets) which posts on all of those sites. I avoid Craigslist because I get spammed. For me personally, my units rent pretty fast. The last unit I posted up was rented out in three days. I had a unit rent out in one day even. So currently I don't have any vacant units open to help you out in that aspect.
I don't know of a spreadsheet, but there's an app called Waze (https://www.waze.com/) that has a lot of good stuff. It's a GPS app and I'll skip all the stuff it has because it's not really relevant to your question but if you go to the "Navigate" section and swipe the search page over to "Categories" you get 17 categories of listings of stuff to do near you, and then each of those categories has listings from Yelp, YP, google places, and Waze. I found some pretty cool stuff that way, not all of which require money necessarily.
>After a brief lull, severe thunderstorms are expected to flare up once again Wednesday afternoon, particularly in portions of Oklahoma, Texas and western Arkansas. Large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are all threats there, although large hail appears to be the main threat.
They quality of service at your house depends on the neighborhood infrastructure and traffic plus the installation at your house. In my part of Tarrant County, AT&T tends to offer generally slower service with more uptime. Spectrum is usually less expensive, somewhat faster, but does have a few uptime issues. Since uptime is heavily dependent on the installation and neighborhood, you would probably do better checking the local Nextdoor.com for complaints.
Friends of the Fort Worth Library. I've only gone looking for children's books, but they had a great selection, were cheap, and often the books were practically new.
Yes, given the age of the home and the ceiling texture, please get this tested. Asbestos was added to textures to improve fire resistance, visual appeal and even to isolate sound.
I'm sorry but I cannot directly recommend a company, it would be a conflict of interest as I work in the asbestos identification industry.
It's entirely possible that you could collect a sample yourself have it analyzed by an accredited asbestos laboratory. Do a google search for those keywords and many results will show, please do contact your selected lab for instructions. If you are looking to learn more about asbestos please read my ebook it's free for Amazon Kindle Unlimited members or a low cost educational guide for non-members.

I had a copy for a different city, and really enjoyed exploring and hiking new places.
Hello to everyone and sorry for the title typo, here is this cool wallpaper of Fort Worths map. Enjoy! Made with Sphaera
I checked weather.com and weather underground, and no one else is reporting anything at all like this. <20mph winds and *maybe* some thunderstorms.

70+ mph winds, larger-than-baseball-sized hail, and multiple tornadoes... is a little dramatic, I think.

I've always had good luck with this Public Storage in NRH:
I've used it a couple times between moves, etc. They are climate controlled, seem reasonably safe, and are pretty cheap compared to most places around. Guess it really depends on how close it is to you though.
My big tip for storage units if you haven't used the before, they all have break ins. Get 2 of these disc locks:
https://smile.amazon.com/Master-Lock-Padlock-Stainless-40DPF/dp/B00004SQKX/
and put them on the door. Any lock pretty much can be cut/broken into, but those are harder than the typical "padlock" style and its one of those things where if a thief sees one unit with two of those vs a unit with 1 padlock, they're more likely to cut the one padlock, take the stuff and run, then spend the time to mess with 2 disc locks.
You are going to want this book to help you out. I also want to say TAMU has a comprehensive website with a ton of information as well.
Pro Weather Alert on Android. I have it set up to only override silent mode for Tornado Warnings. They only alert me to when something is happening in my part of the county too.
Wait a sec. Not trying to be snarky, but your late teens/early 20s would've been the mid to late 00s. Fights and brawls downtown? I used to be down there practically every Friday and Saturday night back then and never once saw a fight. You couldn't go downtown on a Friday or Saturday night without tripping over a member of the Bass brigade. Heck, I remember window shopping with friends one Friday night long after all the regular businesses had closed, and one of the Sundance security people materialized out of the side of a building just to tell us to keep moving. Then stood there watching us until we walked the rest of the block and rounded the corner.
Stockyards? No idea. I go there as little as I have to. Downtown? Back then, downtown was probably the safest place in town to be after dark.
Not sure about anything as recent as the 80s or anything involving Willie, but the gangster activity up and down Jacksboro Highway has been well documented. Some of the stories from that era would almost make you think that the movies Casino and Goodfellas got their inspiration from our fair city. People just turning up dead in fields, people gunned down in their yards, car bombs...we had it all right here. Here is a pretty entertaining book that gives some of that history. Also, no connection to the author of the book. I just enjoyed the read.
Try this app. You can reserve parking ahead of time & I forget what other stuff, but my best friend uses it a lot & she loves it.

It's called Lake Mineral Wells Trailway. Another paved trail I like is Campion trail. You can also check out Dallas Off Road Bicycle Association for some trail recommendations, although most of them will be not paved.
I have a two channel myself (bought on Amazon) and it’s easy to install. They might be intimidating, but it doesn’t take but maybe an hour? It plugs directly into the cig port and you can easily hide the wire in the various folds and plastic covers throughout the car.
I bought a pretty high end system myself - From BlackVue

They have tons of models to choose from and you can decide what kind of system you want. I chose them due to their app, easy to use, ability to do cloud if you want, and the quality of the device. Highly recommend. A lot of friends I know though, buy easy cigarette lighter plug and play dashcams from Amazon. Anything is better than nothing. With some research, you can check out good brands.
Mobile mechanics are good. My experience has been that places like Yelp or Google maps will have the best info. Reviews don't lie (most times).
Do you have a check engine light? If so, buy or borrow an OBD scanner. It will give you specific diagnostics. They loan these out at AutoZone.
Saying "it's the engine" is a huge red flag. Engines have many different components. Never let someone do work on your car unless they've given specifics, including a price estimate.
If you don't know about cars, tell them your uncle is going to be reviewing the quote before you authorize any work. They'll often tell you there is an inspection charge, it's always worth it. If you proceed with the repair after they've quoted, the inspection charge will be rolled into the cost.

No problem, I used this stuff I got for like $9 at O'Reilly's to paint mine. It's rated to 2000⁰ and still burned about half of it off lol. I also engraved the last 8 of my VIN number. I don't think either of these would really do much but it's better than nothing
For the July temps I read the July monthly average numbers for 2020 and 1990 from this website:

With regards to global warming making much of the world uninhabitable in the future, I was referring to this Washington Post article I read a few months ago: https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2020/05/04/human-climate-niche/

My 1978 Chevy El Camino was stolen from a gated community in Downtown December 2011 as well. Fuckers
Same here. Thankfully I had a butane stove with two half full canisters to heat some boiling water. Made hot tea and filled my thermos. Also a simple hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket to snuggle with in bed was my savior.

I play on a men's outdoor league on Sundays, but aren't currently looking for anyone aside from a goalie. I'd suggest https://sites.google.com/site/fwadultsoccer/new-player. You can put you name down and you can be contacted through that site.
It's almost impossible to find a Coed team as a guy though. Every team has way too many guys and never enough girls.
You can also check out http://www.fcrahr.com. Rahr sponsors a couple soccer teams in Fort Worth and they have try outs and such. But I believe anyone can go to the practices.
In Fort Worth, the north side is where I'm seeing the best stuff. There was a good comment thread on Nextdoor recently that has 200+ comments, discussing what are some good places. I'm a new transplant and looking for the exact same thing, I've tried Meetup.com but didn't see anything similar there.

I'm starting off by volunteering at Habitat for Humanity and hoping to find likeminded people there. If you find anything, I'd love to know and get involved.
i'm sure once we get closer to pening, i will do a post about it. it's gonna be a 70s retro kinda diner. my man and i are so, so excited! can't wait to open. :) oh, you can check us out here if ya want > https://www.facebook.com/SteviesDiner

Kidding...
I've almost been mugged running in South Africa once, the dude came at me with a knife. I ran as fast as I could and lost him. Fell hard trying to get away, that hurt.
Charges were never filed against her ie not guilty. Republicans fail to find a crime she committed and thus she's not guilty. Trump on the other has surrounded himself with people who have plead guilty or been caught up in the investigation. Evidence hasn't been made public but the writing is on the walls. You must be brainwashed at this point to believe in Trump still. He is racist, he is a liar, he is a crimial, and your party will be remembered as idiots for falling for him. Good luck in the future. Every day, every head line, keep trying to tell yourself Trump is innocent. He asked Russia to release Hilarys emails and they did. The only people to believe his lies are brainwashed, enjoy your cognitive dissonance, you look like a moron. If you watch this video it will sum it up better.
Cohen on the other hand will be indicted in the next 90 days according to Cohen's own lawyer. Soon it will be your dear leader.
The writing is on the walls. You and your tribe will be remembered for which side you stood on when the gavel drops.
Great advice. It definitely depends on where you live and you need to check to see which "level" of antenna you need.
We did this, and ended up buying a cheapie antenna from Walmart (this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-UHF-VHF-Digital-Indoor-Antenna/20976672). We get probably 30 channels with it, including all the big local networks. The quality is great. We have Netflix for other stuff so we mostly watch traditional TV for news & the occasional PBS show. We are in west Fort Worth/Ridglea area.
I'm a foster home for Texas Lab Rescue who would definitely take him off your hands...except we are going on vacation in 4 weeks. If you are still looking to get rid of him May 2nd I'll give him a home. HERE is a video of my friends squirrel when it was just a baby.
I just found out about Fort Worth Adult Soccer. They're on Trail Lake I guess and the fee is 35$ I think? If you're interested hit them up and let me know what league you're playing and I'll join too! :D https://sites.google.com/site/fwadultsoccer/
I'm no longer single, but when I was, I went to match events. They were fun, there were plenty of interesting women to talk to, and one event a couple guys got into a fight over a girl. Quality entertainment on many levels!
I had this book growing up. Pretty interesting. Who Was Hulen? An Attempt to Find the Origin of Fort Worth's Street Names https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000SDRDR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CJGFS55M5CA797Q097TS
You probably meant to say "Go buy a BUG-A-SALT gun and blast them".... your autocorrect must have kicked in.
I was looking for the same but didn't want to leave a permanent opening or fix it after I sold my house. So I looked around online and, if you have a window that's low enough to the floor and wide enough, they make window inserts to be used as a doggy door. Much better than going thru the hassle of installing a permanent one. Amazon sells different sizes like this one. I've 2 small dogs and they use it without an problem.
I would like to suggest you use my selfless act where you will get too many short term volunteer opportunities nearby you and you can choose any type of volunteer activity.
I used Fi for just over two years. Reception was mostly excellent, but a companion app such as Signal Spy or FiSwitch will be invaluable in situations where Google's automatic cell service switching insists on a poor signal. That is mostly an issue in more remote areas, but I do highly recommend becoming acquainted with one of those apps before you need them.
I left after getting fed up with intermittent issues causing SMS messages to drop, both inbound and outbound. I'm honestly not sure if Project Fi was to blame, but I hadn't had that issue in years past, nor since switching services. Otherwise, aside from having a hard time finding a supported device I was eager to use, I had no issues locally.
I bought my mattress off amazon.
Olee Sleep 13 Inch Box Top Hybrid Gel Infused Memory Foam Innerspring Mattress (KING) 13SM01K https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010GO33I0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_GMEBAbHR4WJG0
Pretty comfortable. A little more on the medium-firm rating. We got a bed frame from amazon as well for like $150 or so. If you're looking for like a bedroom set, Nebraska furniture mart has some basic looking ones for like $600
If you do it yourself buy a arrow fastener stapler like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z2K4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DuZnAbCJ7SE90
It’s freaking cold and insulation sucks. May want to hire the redditor on here. I also hate hitting myself with nails in the attic/roof.
A flat antenna works great when you are less than 20 miles away from the broadcast tower. They can work up to 50 miles away, but you need an amp where you live now.
Something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0185VRBY8/
Exactly right on both points. It seems like overkill, but 1 box/cat is totally worth it to avoid issues.
Get a couple of these. Takes 10 seconds to clean out a day's worth.
Costume rentals are $100+ for 1 day. Just buy this with 2 day shipping:
https://www.amazon.com/Leg-Avenue-Womens-Princess-Costume/dp/B001CVJXG8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1476282121&sr=8-3&keywords=princess%2Bpeach%2Badult%2Bcostume&th=1&psc=1
I have one of these and pick up WFAA without a problem. I'm also 30 miles further west of you.
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Ultra-Thin-Indoor-Antenna/dp/B00X4RAEZC/
If you still can't receive the channel then either your TV tuner is weak or you don't have the antenna positioned well.
Organo Gold is a MLM / pyramid scheme product. That to me usually = bogus.
But who am I to judge? Here is a link to buy it on amazon.
My advice is to look into a low-acidity and/or half-caffeinated coffee that you can buy at the grocery store, if caffeine consumption is of concern to your mother.
