If your on Verizon and have a Walmart near you that sells Pixels I just picked my pixel 2 (not XL) for ~250. I think their Pixel 2 XL's were going to for $450 with a 2 year agreement.
I had to search about 4 different Walmarts before I found one that had Pixels.
There might be an easier way to do it, but this is how I got the seconds back.
I got this one on Amazon. I did a ton of research and that was the best I could really get. If your phone has a case, you'll have to take it off but it does have a card and key slot so there's that. I ran a 10k in it this morning and it was good to go.
Here is one. No referral link, just product.

But I did not buy it myself, so I will not vouch for it. There are several others. That being said, if amazon is fulfilling it there is little to no risk. So maybe look at who is fulfilling the order.
Because PCs, hi-fi equipment, assistive input devices, and other consumer electronics still exist that are better suited for a fixed cable in their stationary environments. They also don't have as good of an upselling opportunity for their own brand of in-ear wireless headphones.
Think about it this way. All of the budget phones still have a headphone jack. All of the high-end $800+ flagship phones don't, because if you can afford a flagship phone, it's presumed you can afford to buy the shiny $50-100 headphones too.
Me? I buy Pixel for the monthly security updates, zero bloat, and great camera quality. If I need more control over the camera for manual focus and exposure controls, I use the free Open Camera app that exposes all the settings. If I need wireless, I go for the ridiculously cheap $25 MPOW bluetooth headphones from Amazon that sound amazing for the price.
Battery has been fine. Keep your brightness at 50% with automatic adjustments.
You have mailed one of the most challenging conversion tasks.
You are able to use Google Duo, instead of FaceTime. Your friends will need to load Duo as well. It is a cross platform video share.

That said, it isn't as convenient.
Best of luck. If you can get through this aspect, you will love the Android OS.
I personally stick with google cables. You can buy directly from google but its expensive like 20 bucks or something. Amazon, authentic google cable 5.60 delivered next day. I just got it and its identical to my authentic cables.
I've been having the same problem but i dont think it's hardware related
you can go to the rest of the google play reviews, several users are experiencing the same problem with the camera app
"Thanks for nothing Google. I'd give this zero stars if possible. Update didn't fix my issue at all. Back camera still doesn't want to focus on Pixel 3. Any time I try to take a picture, it just keeps moving in and out and won't focus. Pictures are very blury. Used to love the camera but not now. No reason for me to by another Pixel in the future if you can't get the camera to work. I hear Samsung has a great camera that works."
"I'd give this app -5 if possible. Ive had a pixel 2 for two years mostly for the camera aspect. This app was great till recently. It crashes almost all the time. When It does load the rear camera is always out of focus. This is very frustrating as i have been dealing with the issue for months. Google has tried to resolve it but they always tell me nothing can be done. What a disgrace!"
""Recommended Shots" not working On my Pixel 3 I used to be able to choose different frames of a photo to use. Now, all the options are blurry and it never auto adjusts like it used too. This is frustrating and Google has been no help. They only suggested the standard clearing cache and uninstalling the update which didn't fix the problem. Also, night mode takes a noticeably longer time to complete a picture now"
Google just released this app that I put the link below. You will have various types of music for notification and ringtone. But also you can put your music file with ogg file extension in notification folder on your root folder.

My phone goes 5-6 hours easy. I use full screen brightness. I don't have lots of background programs running.
I monitor battery health with AccuBattery. I found a SoT of 30 mins in the history and it drained 9% of the battery. Another SoT was 2hr 33mins and drained 48%.
Hope this helps.
There's really a lot of variety in the cases out there, so it depends what you're after, and what you're willing to sacrifice to meet those ends.
I went with diztronic for what I felt was the best compromise between price, heft, thickness, hand feel, clean-ability, button-press ease and rigidity, and no dust collection near camera-cutout.
Curse you Spigen for messing up the Pixel 2 line-up! But I liked their Pixel 1 offerings.
Thought I'd close this thread with a product that I bought and works for me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072K5ZJXF
It's a 5-port multi-USB charger, with 1 USB-C port that works great for my Pixel2.
I did find this one (4 port and 5 port), but the price seems a bit high and there's no reviews confirming it works as advertised.
I got a Bonum one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077BT36ZV/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Nothing fancy but it works. I wanted to try something cheap since I wasn't sure what would fit with my case (since that was a big negative in a lot of reviews.
The only real negative is that there is a little bubbling around the outside edge but doesn't interfere with the view able screen so i don't mind it. Fits my case and I don't get the rain bow effect that a lot of people complain about with other brands.
This is what I use. Works really well for me. It's a dot matrix though. Google Pixel 2 Glass Screen Protector, Amander google pixel 2 tempered glass screen protector clear [3d curved] [Easy Installation] [High Responsivity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076VMK1NX/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apap_3UxGgtjP5ijYQ
I am using this case it is thin and really good. Provides a good amount protection. Buttons are a little hard, but i cut small slits along the buttons and it helped with making it easier to push the buttons.
This is for the normal pixel 2 size, even though the picture looks like it is for the pixel 2 xl.

Fitbit Alta HR
It was a bit flakey connecting, and I have to restart the Fitbit app if I haven't used it in a day, but otherwise it works.
