It's not a Pixel exclusive, but it'll depend on OnePlus to either enable them or not. So, safe to say that we don't know.
You can install and use some circular icon packs. I've been rocking Click UI for years now, and I believe there are other icon packs that are free, just got to look them up on the Play Store.
What exactly is the difference between this and Click UI? The style is pretty much exactly the same but Click UI has thousands of icons already.
I like round icons but I don't like regular icons with round white backgrounds. I wish more of the round icons were like this icon pack: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.launchertheme.kxnt.click
ClickUI (made by the same dev as Switch UI) is also awesome and well worth paying for. It's basically SwitchUI but Circular instead of rounded squares.

You might like ClickUI, it's got the same material design feel as the default icons but none of the white space
To add to this, the default icon are fucking horrible. They want circle icons and the solution is to take the existing icons and just put them in a white circle? It looks ugly a sin.
I use the moonshine icon pack, but if I wanted all circle icons, I'd take something like Click UI over this.
I think the problem for me is circles with white background. The thing is that there have been icon packs in the play store for years that do exactly what google is trying to do now, but are much higher quality. Circle UI sets the standard imo, especially since it at least has drop shadows to provide some contrast.
I think these are them.
Edit: /u/kayl-y11 corrected me
Nova Setup: 10*6 / Dock Off / Sub Grid On / Nova Search Bar
If I might suggest Click UI for round icons — have been using it for years and could never switch. Has over 2000 icons included and gets updated all the freaking time.
as it is from a paid icon pack, I'd hate to just give it away without first contacting the developer. in case you missed it, the icon pack is Click UI
Click UI, forever. Fuck yeah consistent outlines.
Switched to this from Tersus once Material Design came around and I haven't looked back since.
I used to use Tersus exclusively, but after Lollipop I had to switch as I wanted something more inline with Material. I switched to Click UI and have no regrets, I think it is better than KOVDEV's packs.
> Another doubt I had was whether it is too similar to what is currently available in Google Play right now..
Looks a bit reminiscent of ClickUI, but only a little bit
Click UI. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.launchertheme.kxnt.click&hl=en
Hasn't been updated in like a year, probably deadware, but I make my own icons in a matching style on the occasion i get a new app.
Everything about this set is exactly spot on for me. I love the colors. Every time I try and find a replacement, there is always something off that pushes me away.
The 5 icons above the dock are mostly folders (shortcuts to Nav places, media, etc) and also open an app when swiped up.
Nova
Google Search widget within Nova.
I like KXNT's Click UI Icons. These were the ones I used for a long time, and I still switch back to them fairly regularly.
I'm all for it. I already use the Click UI icon pack on my phone. I'm hoping this will fix the icons on my phone that don't have replacements and look pretty bad.
I use Click UI and I love it. It makes all icons circular and it has lots of alternates to choose from.
The author of that pack has a few others that are very nice as well, if you don't like circular icons.
If you like circle shaped icons, try Click UI by kxnt. If you wanna make some different home screen style, you must try.
Some of these new features are small, but amazing. Being able to see what your grid looks like while resizing is my favorite so far. No more guess work about how icons will fit!
edit: I added this screenshot in a child comment somewhere below and people wanted to know about my current homescreen.
The icon pack is ClickUI.
The widget is a custom widget I made using UCCW. I've been using this one for years, small revisions here and there. If there is interest I'll upload it to dropbox or something.
The wallpaper is one of the wallpapers that comes included in ClickUI, but I change my wallpaper almost daily.
Or use an icon pack so all icons look consistent. This is what my Instagram logo looks like: http://imgur.com/0O4LRv7
Better than the old logo and WAY better than the new one.
EDIT: The icon pack is Click UI by Kxnt using the Google Now Launcher. Keep in mind that to customize icons with this launcher you need Xposed GEL Settings. (Root & Xposed Framework required.) Otherwise just use another launcher like Nova.
Hey guys, I'm giving away codes for my icon packs. 30 codes to 4 of my packs, so 120 codes in total.

Minimal UI: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dINeQ7OPAMWa7_lu_VaqBfB1VspYdQIjI3dXPlaX3k4/edit?usp=sharing
Going for multiple codes is fine, but try to limit yourself to 2 icon packs so they can be spread around.
Weren't able to snag a code? No worries. All my icon packs are currently on sale for just $0.99. Pop UI is currently the only pack that needs a big update, which is coming soon. Check them out!
Posted this before but I was a little late to the game:

I keep it pretty simple
Google now launcher DPI set to 410 thats why it has 5 columns
Kustom Live wallpaper (pro) for the clock widget and calendar widget
Weather Timeline for the weather widget
I have made changes like putting the rectangle at the bottom, and the clock and battery percentages in the corner.

I'm currently using my backup N4 until I can either repair my Z2 or get something new. So this is done on just paint.net.
Currently using:
Click UI for icons
Roboto Condensed is font for the status bar
Blue Jays Vintage is the font for the clock.
Check out Click UI, I love it.

Hello all! Here is simple 3-screen KLWP theme. I got the inspiration from this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/androidthemes/comments/b916ky/promotion_magma_widgets_update_available/). Enjoy!
