Searched through my deep house collection and a few of my sets and came up empty so I shazamed it. BAM. Au Seve - Julio Bashmore.
The second one is MK's dub of Storm Queen's look right through
OP's mixes are great. One of the more recent ones that I've been playing non-stop is:
Dusky - BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix
Lots of classics mixed in with newer bangers
Did you by any chance sample a synth riff from <em>The Pressure</em> feat. Ann Nesby (Lenny & Amnesia Remix)? Just curious if it's coincidence, from the same synth patch or sample cd, or from that actual tune. It's a nice riff :)
electro house has harder crunchier synth leads and sometimes beats that deviate a bit from four on the floor and is a different vibe from more traditional house music and deep house music. electro house makes people want to throw their hands in the air and rock out while more traditional house music makes you want to keep grooving.
check out some tracks here and you will get the idea.
Possibly my favourite track in house from the past year.
There's an incredible version in Dusky's holy ship set 10 mins in where they use their vocal sample from nobody else during the climax of the song, so so amazing. Enjoy. https://www.mixcloud.com/livesetsdjmixes/dusky-live-holy-ship-2015-05-01-2015/
Fucking love this guy! Prefer this (Renegade Master) though. One of the most memorable vocal samples i can think of and the 2nd baseline is so sick. According to the soundcloud this guy's from Liverpool too, really wanna know who he is/hear more.
I hate how I can't find a soundcloud or facebook page of his, because I am absolutely in love with this track. All I've found is his Beatport Profile (which only has 2 tracks).
Hey peeps, check out the most recent all vinyl mini-mix from my record label Rocksteady Disco. It starts off with some new releases and ends up happy and old school.
Hello /r/House I host a House/Tech show on KZFR fm 90.1 out of Chico California. Every Sunday night from 9:30pm till 11:30pm PST.
Last weeks show https://www.mixcloud.com/SnickatNight/heatwave/
Any and all Feedback would be great. http://www.kzfr.org/shows/psuedonymous
Boy, that's a rare song but it's cool/I'm thrilled you did because it slaps
I used this one called acrcloud: I believe their Chrome extension is called AHA Sound.
I'll be hosting 2 hours of fresh deep house vibes tonight on Edinbass radio, featuring artists like Detroit Swindle, Steve Bug, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kyodai and plenty more. UK listeners can tune in from 8pm onwards at http://mixlr.com/edinbass
You can also hear our previous broadcasts at www.mixcloud.com/edinbass or give us much needed support at www.facebook.com/edinbassshow
Can't think of 5 off the top of my head, but recently I've really loved DJ Tonka's 2014 update of his classic track Feel, and Harry Romero's Tania (Jorge Montia Remix).
Besides that, always loved the Toolroom podcast, and this year was no different.
hmm... searching... lots of hip hop remixes but nothing for house yet.
(lower portion of page)
OP, I dunno which tune it is you're looking for, but whosampled.com has that Tokimonsta - "The World Is Ours" tune that cogit4se linked to, as the only kinda electronic-ish version (though it's by no means always an exhaustive list!), though it's definitely not house. Marvin Gaye's been sampled quite a lot though, so are you sure it's definitely this tune? Good luck in your search!
Van Tek - Everything Sounds Dirty
A nice, sassy mix of funky, upbeat Deep House. If anyone wants a download, let me know and I'll put one on Sendspace or whatever hosting site you prefer.
Pretty good track. Kind of has an ode to depeche mode feel. Its pretty fun. Not the kind of stuff I typically spin but kudos because I have yet to start and actually finish a freaking song. can't to follow through on that as of yet. This is my latest mix: https://www.mixcloud.com/Riot_Now/tech-house-session-1-31615/
First time posting in /r/house! Been making mixes in my bedroom for a while now and was looking for feedback on my most recent mix. Any and all feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

I don’t know how much this will help your cause, but two awesome books really changed my attitudes toward some of the more pernicious aspects of music fetishism and DJ culture. Together, they made me realize how collecting records stemmed from an addictive and futile need to serialize and organize material objects, which creates the illusion of controlling time, i.e. a proxy for warding off the fear of death. Sounds wanky AF, abstract and overblown, but it made me awaken to the situation. I almost immediately stopped collecting records and DJing for a few year, which improved my mental health.
Nevethrless, the experience of listening to and engaging with music and culture felt less rich and listening solely to streams. It’s both abundance and cheapness. So I recently started buying records again, and have to say that I’m much happier and less precious about the whole ordeal. Arguably more grateful for a simple thing like a vinyl record and really anything concerning music. I just enjoy it for what it is, which I feel is a much healthier relationship to life and culture.
Good luck on finding you way! 🎶 The music plays us.
Hi, this is a great set. Could someone please help me ID the song at the 15 min mark? I also haven´t found the one at 28 min. any help is appreciated.
I'm looking for a specific remix of Heaven 17's (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang.
I've been trying just to identify what this track is for 16 years now (never knew before today what the group / track was) as only bits and pieces have been stuck in my head. I remembered it was on a Derrick Carter mix (and also a Doc Martin mix) from early 2000 so I started digging. I finally stumbled upon DC's set from How Sweet It Is:
https://www.mixcloud.com/oilcan/derrick-carter-how-sweet-it-is-los-angeles-march-18th-2000/
It starts at 1h 38m.
However, I don't know what remix (there were several remixes released in 2010 - that's about it). It might just be a white label that circulated around that time and never released properly, but I thought I'd see if anyone might know more about it.
Before anybody gives me shit that this isn't house, I checked..
Although I STILL wouldn't classify it as proper house, it's still a cool tune.
My advice would be to find a seller on discogs who has thousands of records for sale in the house genre, then just start going through them listening to the cheap ones. You could probably get 10 or so for £40 that are decent.
Wish this was better quality. Some higher quality, but shorter samples on SoundCloud: Aki Bergen, Papa Records
http://www.filedropper.com/snapchat-3867591054139342769 Got a download link to a file of a song anyone have any ideas on the name of it? - heres a recording aswell http://vocaroo.com/delete/s0T5gLpWeSNu/e6ee1bc6205ded86 Cheers if you guys can come up with it.
I've been really happy with Dayton Audio B652s over the last like 8 years. Used to be the defacto ultra-low-budget audiophile setup but idk anymore. This amp has treated me very well too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XQGYRJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_BKQ99ESRVYH22BDWWCSN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
May I also suggest Tim Lawrence “Love Saves The Day” who wrote about David Mancuso & the loft parties in NYC around mid to late 1970’s that greatly influenced Frankie Knuckles, Larry Levan and many other DJs. Tim also hosts a podcast about dance music and counter culture along with professor Jeremy Gilbert that is an excellent journey into the roots of it all

Hello guys,
In August 2014 Rob Da Bank on Radio BBC One had Chet Faker over for a GuestMix.
The audio was originally uploaded to SoundCloud but deleted soon after.
Here is the full show on Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/globalsets/rob-da-bank-bbc-radio-1-guestmix-chet-faker-and-tcts-02-aug-2014/
At the 40 minutes, a piano solo begins. I've listened to it hundred of times, I love it so much, it does something to me.
Also found under The African Dream - The African Dream [EB 30], samples the awesome 20th Century Steel Band - Heaven and Hell is on Earth
I think you should've linked to the official channel.
EDIT: Never mind, hadn't heard of DJ #Unknown before. Either way, link above is to Friend Within's channel.
Drove myself nuts trying to figure out the sample since I knew I had heard it before. Looking up to you by Michael Wycoff, also featured in a Robosonic song
https://www.mixcloud.com/DJ_Wanted/dj-wanted-deep-house-mix-1/
Just a little deepish house mix ( It's predominately deep house, has some other tunes that may branch off into other genre's but seriously who can keep up with them all?)
Mixcloud has most of them ID'd but I supplied a track list as well and links to download it :)
Looking for trackIDs from Chus and Ceballos live at Reverse Sankey's (week 42 podcast).
Looking for track IDs at 19min and 30 min.

Brand new mix from Atlanta DJ awesame (that's me). An hour of chill / deep House finished off by some more melodic pop house. Hope you enjoy!

Down-tempo doodlemix combining boiler room-esque deep house with something a little more interesting. Bear with it. Tracklist:
Timestamped in the Mixcloud.
All i know is that the vocals were sampled from an acapella record by defected. Edit: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Defected-Accapellas-Vol-2/master/908391 I think from the two last ones by Awa Band.
He's going on tour by the way with other french express label artists. They are stopping @ U music hall in DC, which is local to me, can't wait.
I'll be playing 2 hours of fresh deep house cuts from Detroit Swindle, Vince Watson, Nautiluss, Claude VonStroke, Jesper Ryom and much more tonight at 8pm GMT+1
You can listen at http://mixlr.com/edinbass
You can hear my previous shows here also http://www.mixcloud.com/edinbass
Happy listening!
I haven't uploaded it to youtube however you can try this link. It's the mobile version of soundcloud. I'm guessing it will run on your computer. let me know if it does, if not, I'll see about putting it on Youtube for you :)
EDIT: If that doesn't work, try this. It's a Mixlr link.. the levels are a bit lower on that one though.
Fuck yeah. Don Carlos is the man. He's one of the few, along with Pete Z and the Idjut Boys who can really lay down some amazing instrumental solo work in his tune, but while still keeping it really housey. Love the man! I'd actually never heard this particular one before either, so thanks for posting it sylezjusz! Have you heard his Purple Night tune? I should put the full thing on youtube soon, cos its absence is criminal... Halfway through the clip I posted, it gets ahhh-mazing. Hope ya dig :)
edit: all this piano cheeriness made me wanna watch Double Dee's "Found Love" video again :)
i think this is a monster, though half the credit should really go to Pepe Bradock cos this is mostly Block 16's "Morning Sun" with a chunkier drum section under it. Those drums make a helluva nice difference though! Here it is on Beatport, if you want it. Btw, if you wanna hear it in the mix, here it is being played at a recent house dancing event. Quality tunes and dancers at that event - it's worth watching the whole thing, imho.
I pretty much agree with the reply "don't." I like to mix up all kinds of genres within a set. However, I can see that having them ORGANIZED into sub-genres might be helpful, even if you plan to use more than one genre in a set. One tool that was created by one of the EchoNest guys (they got bought by Spotify) is this, which has a pretty exhaustive list of genres: http://everynoise.com/engenremap.html
Why don't you have a go yourself. You can download Virtual DJ for free. It's a really good way to learn to start mixing. Don't need a mixer or anything and there's a record function. You can see if you can recreate it.
Edit: I hope that didn't come off as me sounding annoyed and telling you to do it yourself. Actually meant it as a friendly suggestion.
A mix I did while lazing around on what is a very sunny day (for the English, anyway). Timestamped tracklist is on there, but including artists I really dig like Yolanda Be Cool/Dcup, Wild Culture, Art of Tones and Green Velvet.
Any feedback would be really welcome seeing as I'm just now starting to look at playing out :)
An hour long summer mix I made, including artist like Mark Knight, ATFC, Luca Bisori etc.
Approximately 1:15:00 into this mix, comes out in full force at 1:15:20. Please this is such a fat tune
Hi, I made this House/Deep House set yesterday, it's a selection of some of my favorite tracks, and it's been made with vinyls, decks, a mixer and love. I hope you'll enjoy it ! https://www.mixcloud.com/LC0100110001000011/mix1/

SKYSCAPE 043 (Panoramic House & Oddities) This is the latest installment of my podcast, Skyscape. I play mostly house & house subgenres, but I do believe that the occasional walkabout into techno/breaks/dubstep is good for the soul! Set is time-stamped & the tracklist is also viewable at mixcloud.
I really enjoy your track selection. Trans 1 was excellent. Seamless. Track 2 has "loving me" male vocal sample. Ennio uses that sample also it much clubby oriented called Lovaine Mae. Your mixing is flawless and well phrased. What do you use for equipment? If possible I would love a critique from someone of your skill set: https://www.mixcloud.com/Riot_Now/tech-house-session-1-31615/
Heres mix I did for some competition I need 50 plays to be considered so if you could just play it that'd be great https://www.mixcloud.com/BASSMENT1/dj-mag-next-generation-mix-bassment/ feel free to listen as well though
She Likes It Deep Vol 4 is a laid back mixture of my favourite sounds at the moment. The tracks lean greatly towards Tech House but the Deep House and Techno influences remain prominent.

First Reddit post ever, but have been reading off and on over the years.
Made this DJ mix just practicing while after a green session and decided to record it live.
I normally wouldn't post a mix I haven't prepared for beforehand to keep the integrity of my image and to respect my audience, but I felt it was interestingly done; different from my usual mix style.
This has a mix of many things housey - F Garage, Afro-House, Deep, Techy, Atmospheric etc.
Let me know if anyone wants a track-list and any feedback is appreciated, albeit with the raw nature of it in general.
I usually don't post my mixes on boards like this because it turns out to be a lot of people wanting to be listened to without reciprocating. But, I will listen to any people who give feedback and will scan this page for beginner posters/mixers and give feedback to them specifically since I know how it can be putting your work out there.
Good luck and look forward to hearing some dope mixes.

[House / Indie Dance Mix] - Esot3ric's Picks 15/01. A mix I threw together of some of the stuff I've been listening to recently. Starting to branch out into indie dance / nu disco, so bouncier vibes all round, but then keeping it techy with a lot of dirtybird influences too! Enjoy :) x
https://www.mixcloud.com/dj-esot3ric/house-and-indie-dance-mix-1501/
Someone on reddit said he re released something in 2010- but I can't remember where. I'll dig in my inbox. I messaged on FB the record label that released Tourist asking about him. We shall see. I don't think he's dead, he's probably taking the Daft Punk route and just living on his own.
EDIT: according to this http://www.allmusic.com/artist/ludovic-navarre-mn0000308197/credits He just did something- its the remaster of Rose Rogue. Which I'm assuming he did. So he's probably just kicking back and collecting that monthly check.
No problem, it took me a while to find all the deleted videos from my playlist. Figured I would share the playlist with everyone.
You can also transfer playlists from Youtube to Spotify for backup.
Midland's debut Essential Mix is tonight. If you ain't famliar with him he's an absolutely fantastic, genuinely original artist. His mixes are always very ecclectic and this essential mix won't be one to miss I imagine. Plus he runs two brilliant labels Graded and Regraded which if you haven't listened to you need to step up.
if you werent drinking Stellas when skream was playing 2 hours of Disco then theres no point jumping on board now. is he playing AFROBEATS yet? maybe mixing in some Juke or that awful 135 bpm boredom that london cant seem to rid itself of?

Big thanks. Both the main mix and the B side were some of the most fun I've ever had while making a mix.
I decided not to do a big re-release for the summer 2010 mix since it's a bit old by now so I'll just drop you the link here. Still the same as the old one if you listened to that, just remastered.

These are the ones I got. They're a bit cheap and plastic but you can't really tell unless you get up close.
For me i've always loved House music, going back to when i was a kid and my mom would play a mix my late uncle made for her featuring Marshall Jefferson and AllyUs (i'm sure you all know what tunes). As i started getting serious with DJing I got tired of playing the same main stream music so i was reading something in /r/beatmatch and someone mentioned this subreddit and honestly i NEVER thought to look to see if there was a House music subreddit.
Well, here I am. I've found home.
Edit: Oh I forgot, even though I didn't find this here, this CD was on repeat pretty much from 2003 onwards: Johnny Aguilo - Latino Lounge 01 http://www.amazon.com/Latino-Lounge-01-Johnny-Aguilo/dp/B00005NBXS
Great suggestions man but they are out of my budget right now :/ Im looking for a controller that costs from $100 to $200. Im not going to go professional or anything right now I just wanna have some fun mixing at hom or at some parties with friends! Still thats some god info you just gave me. I'm definitely looking forward to buying the s4 though, looks orgasmic. I think this is the one ill go with, http://www.amazon.com/Numark-Mixtrack-Controller-Integrated-Interface/dp/B00BCL96T2/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1421769956&sr=1-2&keywords=dj+controller seems to have the basics and doesnt look bad at all.
EDIT: This keyboard is my main option right now: http://www.amazon.com/Korg-microKEY-37-Key-Powered-Keyboard/dp/B007VQIGPW/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1421770376&sr=1-1&keywords=midi+keyboard+korg
In my opinion, one of the best ways to get immersed in music aside from making it is learning the history of it. Knowing how it came about and how it influenced other genres. Especially how it evolves over time. I've been reading through a book called Last Night a DJ Saved My Life: The History of the Disc Jockey and it's been great. Definitely worth checking out.
