It’s their version of a base, ESPEVAR ($160 Queen/$250 King).
Amazon has them 1/2 the price. This is 9” but they have varying inches.

item number is 403.460.71 (i have several)
It doesn't come up when searching in the website. Perhaps discontinued?
Here is the item on Amazon (also unavailable). I dont know if Ikea officially sells on Amazon or if this is a 3rd party seller.
Edit - forgot to actually add the amazon link https://www.amazon.com/IKEA-403-460-71-Kallax-Storage-Compartments/dp/B07NJWFC74
It looks exactly like this non-ikea desk: https://www.amazon.com/Coaster-Home-Furnishings-800678-Cappuccino/dp/B018FN8EHY
Something like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00FC4VQ5W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_TCBFJ8DAS267F1YKCCAX
It is basically a tool to mark a point, making it easy to screw in the wood. I don't have it. I usually put some pressure using the Philips screwdriver to mark the point before screw.
I wish I could provide encouraging information, but that won't be the case when dealing with Ikea customer service. It is awful. Honestly, the worst online retailer I've ever dealt with. I had to be on hold for hours, no one took responsibility for delivery (the 3rd-party service blamed Ikea, Ikea blamed the 3rd party delivery service, and round and round). It took weeks to resolve my issue, and that was after multiple rounds of being on hold for hours.
They will not respond via email. Their 800 number is overloaded and understaffed.
The only thing that works is persistence, and of course, it helps to be unfailingly polite. I wish I had better news for you. Their rating on Trustpilot is both dismal and well deserved. Read it, and take heed, fellow online Ikea order victim. :(
I used this app to scan all of my boxes:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maiko.scanpet
You can export to excel and compare to what you ordered. Only problem was that some of the bar codes don't encode the item number, so had to go back and check some things by hand. But overall I think the app saved some time. There must be something similar for iPhone if you're in the apple ecosystem.

These may work. They handle up to 650lbs. I got them for my office chair since we have hardwood floors. They are safe for ALL floors. My chair rolls from hardwood to carpet to ceramic tile no problem.
Don’t use toothpaste, get a tube of paintable caulk. They come in squeeze tubes like toothpaste or cake icing at Amazon and home improvement stores.
Squeeze it on and use something to spread it out nice and flat. An expired credit card or empty gift card would work like a putty knife for spreading it. (This will sound crazy, but lick the card or put some spit on it with your finger before you drag it through the caulk. Makes it spread nicer.)
Oh, you could also try this mix if you really would prefer a mix:
https://www.amazon.com/Lunds-Swedish-Pancake-Mix-Pack/dp/B0723665HW
Not endorsing that listing in particular (they seem to have a lot of different options on Amazon) but that mix is good. I grew up eating that fairly often.
But it is fun mixing from scratch. We do that for our normal pancake mixes and it's convenient.
Looks like the match to the armoire posted a few days ago, magiker: https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-dining-living-furniture/ikea-magiker-sideboard-in-birch-white-plus-matching-lamps-sold-sold-sold/1233052476
Amazon! I bought the 4in thickness. They had a "used - possibly damaged" one for $43 and I figured it is foam, how bad could it be? And if it is stained, it is inside of covers. But it came and was in perfect condition. Sadly it seems I bought the last one.
For the vent, use something like this. I did in my current ikea kitchen with the same issue.
Toe Ductor, Pre-Assembled Under Cabinet Toe Kick Ducting Kit - Floor Vent Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CQR67ZM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_K5D8GX17Z7F1R37J0R4F?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
My go to for any kind of strong wall anchor is Togglers. They are nearly foolproof and strong as hell.
Amazon Desk Spacers. Adds some height and gives a clean look and screws into one side and has rubber feet on the other.
What type of bed are you looking for/sleep best on? Firm, soft, medium, memory foam, etc???
If you sleep well on firm mattresses, I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/Therapy-Memory-Therapeutic-Comfort-Mattress/dp/B004TMURIK/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=oh_aui_i_sh_in_o0_img and it was shipped to my house in two days with amazon prime. I use this base for extra storage. https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-SmartBase-Foundation-Replacement-Noise-Free/dp/B006MISZOC/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=yo_ii_img
I've had it for a year now and still sleep very well on it. I rotate it every 3 months when I wash the mattress pad (from kohls).
I mean besides some wood glue and reinforcing it with some L joints or 1x4 blocks bolted onto each side for reinforcement yeah. Any couch stripped of its padding and fabric is just some basic ass wood for a frame. The ones you pay a premium for just start with about $30 more worth of premium hardwoods like aspen or oak or whatever instead of particle board/plywood as their frame. The price climbs higher with different types of foam and fill for cushioning, and finally higher with premium fabrics with actual upholstery fittings rather than staples and glue holding it all together. The problem I’ve found with the cheaper IKEA items is usually from the quality of the wood. That’s why you can get a great looking couch from IKEA for $400 or $1,000+.
Either brace it with a few extra drilled holes with metal L brackets and bolts clamping the joint together, or replace the wood and drill the necessary holes with a higher quality wood. If you insist on using plywood again, at least make it that layered sheet plywood that’s heavy and sturdy rather than particleboard which is what it looks like in your picture; it’s heavy but not very sturdy.
Here are some small L brackets from amazon.
A few of these on the inside or outside or both (though looks like it would only be accessible from the inside). I’ve fixed a few chairs with broken off legs and a wood bed frame with a similar problem as your couch with these. I’d also suggest some flat braces similar to these L brackets on each side of the broken board if possible to “clamp” the broken pieces together after glueing it back in place to prevent the same separation issue in the future.
I think I found it in this catalogue on page 55. Supposedly it's an old version of BESTÅ.
Edit: I know the cabinets and such aren't the same, but I think the shape of the one in the middle left is a lot alike, and if it's BESTÅ, there's probably a hundred different combinations of cabinets, legs, shelvings, etc. so my best bet is it's just a modified version of the BESTÅ in the catalogue.
Or mount 2 2x4's to the wall and put it in the studs, and then mount the headboard to the 2x4? Though I've also had good luck holding heavy things using these anchors. https://www.amazon.ca/Premium-Plastic-Drilling-Drywall-Anchors/dp/B07XGB1LJM/ref=sr\_1\_8?dchild=1&keywords=drywall+anchors&qid=1627951012&sr=8-8
Thank you! I got the wooden stand from Amazon. The brand is FITUEYES, which was a little questionable at first, but it’s actually a very sturdy stand, really good quality and easy construction.
Here’s a link:

I really try to avoid items at IKEA that don’t have a long term warranty. Items with a warranty are much higher quality and built to last. I don’t know what your budget is but you could get a mesh chair on Amazon for like $150. Take a look at something similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Seating-Breathable-Adjustable-Gunmetal-Managers/dp/B00BT2SR8U
If I had to guess it’s the old maple butcher block with capita angled extensions.
You can buy butcher block at any home improvement store. The extensions would be harder but I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to attach something else or add legs under the Alex units.
Set of 2 Ikea Capita Stainless Steel Legs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DGRYI48/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_N5cZFbDPHVMN1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You should be good, but you might want to look for a mount with a wider base.
This is the one I have on my Bekant, notice how the clamp part is much wider: https://www.amazon.com/HUANUO-Dual-Monitor-Stand-Adjustable/dp/B07T5SY43L/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=dual+vesa+mount&qid=1605991524&sr=8-6

I mounted it under with its adhesive, which is quite strong! I thought I'd only use screws if needed, and so far it is holding beautifully.
No problem! Cheapest I found and they’re decent quality.

You can get one on Amazon for under CAD$16. Just pop it in a drill and you are good to go. Probably cheaper than any other options that requires buying tools.
I think if it was well designed, you can probably get away with it. The one you linked is terrible designed unless you plan on bolting it completely though the tabletop. Depending on your computer, it is likely heavy and unbalanced. That is a lot of weight to trust to a pole.
Please consider something a lot more heavy duty, unless your computer is worth $100 and you don't mind any damage it causes from smashing on the floor.
I recommend something like this:
I don't have that exact one, but something similar. You want something that has a wide area of contact with lots of screws.
Same situation here, Philadelphia has the pegboards themselves in stock but all of the accessories have been out of stock for months. For what it's worth, it looks like they have them on Amazon (at an extortionate markup) if you absolutely have to have them.
Ohhhh that thing? Here's a link.
Both of my daughters have a Hemnes daybed. Do not buy the Ikea mattresses - they are crap.
Instead put two of these on the Hemnes:

They work great and we've been very happy with them.
I'm in Canada and just bought these for under my cabinets and love them - what a difference they make to my kitchen (as all lighting does) - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08V514C6G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I love the soft close hinges - I would opt for some for some of the drawers - for example, I have an IKEA pots-and-pans set of drawers and have them for those - it's nice not to have the contents slamming around inside.
I've had to do something similar and I used precision snips like these. https://www.amazon.com/Hakko-CHP-170-Micro-Cutter/dp/B00FZPDG1K/ref=asc_df_B00FZPDG1K/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198070022856&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2352390114312194567&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&...
Thanks everyone! Seems like a bad idea to convert the 8 inches of space to a lift up door cabinet. u/juliechou - you gave me an excellent idea! I think I'm going to ask for a custom-sized 28" door, but just utilize kitchen organizing shelves above the fridge (e.g., like this one). The 28" door will hide the mess/clutter on these shelves. That will give me the option to easily remove the shelves (unlike a cabinet) in the event I get a new, taller fridge. I'll see a small portion of the legs of the organizing shelves, but that's not the worst thing in the world, I guess
It appears you've got tradeoffs. dissident46 has done a nice job of proposing a solution if you are committed to a clamp on monitor arm.
I have one of these (see link below), because I saw it at a second hand store and decided to try it. I like it very much. I've got 22" monitors, one landscape and one portrait orientation. I'm only pointing it out because going with the monitor stand allows you to someday consider dual monitors. This allows you to manage your cables.

Take your choice of solutions.
Hello from the past! So I bought some very expensive little hinge restrictors directly from Blum based on some info on their website, but they didn't fit the hinges and when I spoke to a Blum rep they said they no longer manufacture the hinges for Ikea so they can't guarantee that the restrictors would work. In the end I bought this thin steel cable thing on Amazon that's not the most elegant solution, but works and is cheapish and also fairly unobtrusive - I barely even notice it now. Essentially it works by connecting the cabinet to the door and 'catching' the door before it opens too wide. Hope that helps!
I haven't see these at my local store for a while but I do remember them. I couldn't find it online, but did find some similar ones.
How is it working out for you? I have a heavy latex but I am planning to use a zinus metal bunkie board.

https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Assembly-Quick-Bunkie-Replacement/dp/B072HTRVM1
FWIW I have the Amazon 5 shelf I think you're talking about and it's excellent. This one?
https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Adjustable-Shelving-Organizer/dp/B09W2WVXMD/
I bought three of those, though from the UK site for WAY more money. Still very happy with them. They seem to take a much greater weight per shelf as well.
I got it for removing medical adhesive from my skin but I've found that it's fantastic for removing all sorts of adhesives around the house.
The Linnmon definitely has the paper/cardboard honeycomb in the middle, but particle board at the edges and fiberboard on the top and bottom. Are you saying the lagkapten is exactly the same?
I'm taking my chances with a 47" tall TV desk mount. This is to support a 43" Samsung TV that weighs 18 pounds. Hoping the fiberboard and particle board will hold up. I may modify the base a bit by adding 4x4" metal (or wood?) plates on the top and bottom to spread the weight out a bit more.
You can get this from Home Depot.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stanley-3-in-Multi-Bit-Ratcheting-Screwdriver-68-010/100139004
The photo includes a Pozidriv bit. I'm noticing that Pozidriv does not appear in man ads for these, and I assume there is a royalty issue with paying to use the Pozidriv name. They are also called Pozi or PZ.
I am almost sure this is a #2 Pozidriv, but if you go to home depot you might want to check.
Home depot has a liberal 30 day return policy, if you don't feel like having a long term relationship with this screwdriver. For political reasons, I'm more than happy to stick it to Home Depot whenever I get a chance. That is just me. :-)
You can get 50 replacement bits for about 0.30 ea, $15.

u/nandosman I also did not like the ikea mattress and just for the hemnes day bed. I am looking into buying your [suggested mattress](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HCZ0XBM/?th=1) and wanted to check how are they holding up now. Will you still recommend them? I see that they are foam mattress and some review said that they got lump or had glass fiber particles so wondering about your experience.
Before I go ahead and ruin the rest of my screws, what size pozidrive would you recommend for this screw? Is this fine? https://www.amazon.ca/Felo-0715722102-Pozidriv-4-Inch-Screwdriver/dp/B000E662ZC# Its so expensive though
Zinus 6" from amazon.
I think this is it Zinus 6 Inch Foam and Spring Mattress / CertiPUR-US Certified Foams / Mattress-in-a-Box, Twin
Do you think something like this would work?

Yea i should have done more research. I did watch videos of people installing this specific mirror into drywall where they did not use anchors and it worked for them so I just followed along using only screws as well.

Would something like this work then?
So... I use this one Back Cushion. It has straps that allows you to set it to your height. Also got myself a pillow for my bottom end.
Something like this? How would it work?
I recently had the same problem trying to find a desk for a small space, but couldn't find anything at Ikea that would fit. I ended up buying our desk amazon. I found one that had a top that is 123cm wide x 40cm deep. I would have preferred getting something from ikea, but they didn't have anything suitable. This is the one I bought: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0895YCFVR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
It's pretty standard. Also if I may suggest for your roomba, the roomba wall barrier. I find works better than the map.
For anyone searching this months from now like I did, I just ordered this Ziotek ZT1080145 which was out of stock on amazon and being resold at an extortionate rate on Amazon. I'll update this comment once I've received it.
You'd probably be better off getting counter tops, from ikea, or elsewhere, and then using alex drawers on either end of the L, some table legs in the center, and some brackets to hold the two counter tops together. Brackets like this https://www.amazon.com/Mending-Bracket-Straight-Stainless-Furniture/dp/B087WZXC5D
https://www.amazon.ca/KOR-Effortless-Replacing-Recessed-Lighting/dp/B07FWFB2X1
The price is ridiculous, but this is what you need. The original fixture will have had one included, but this lamp (MAGNESIUM) was discontinued a long time ago. Your local store may have one still kicking around, but it’s unlikely given the time that’s passed.
I don’t have a suggestion with regards to a couch or sectional from IKEA. Several options available and price ranges depending on your budget.
There is a brand (lovesac) that has fully washable covers that you can replace and more stuff ^(but they are pricey $$$$). I have never tried it so I can’t really recommend it.
As a fellow dog owner, what we do is put a cover over the whole couch (any brand that fits from Target/AMZ/others) and/or we use a fur remover like: the one we use another option. The first one comes also as a broom if you have carpets/rugs.
Bummer... for the 1st option this is what i'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/RLECS-Adapter-Pigtail-Downlight-Housings/dp/B08M9KKJ7V
And the 2nd way this is kind of the process of pulling the existing plate and just putting those wires in the hemma https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppaJZjaCHz4
I’d get a flat extension cours and put that behind it.
I got a little metal support place thing to place on the top of the desk and under the arm just to be safe and so far no problems link
Maybe a slight dip on the desk but can’t really tell. Haven’t taken the arm off to see. Not sure how heavy your monitors are but mine are 10-15lbs each and it’s been fine.
Thank You for the reply.
While waiting I've being look around at reviews and what not... I noticed on the TOPSKY the extension has brackets, is that the sorta of brackets your talking about or do you recommend getting some long pieces of metal to screw into the bottom of the desk as I have seen some people do that ?
I got a 10 pack of different size Hex bits off of Amazon for this purpose. Works great. Something like this
Probably not helpful, but instead of a fully articulated arm, I have several weighted monitor brackets that can move up and down and rotate easily and aren't mounted to the desk. Like this https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Freestanding-Headphone-Adjustable-STAND-V101F/dp/B07V39B16X/ref=asc_df_B07V39B16X/

I've had a lilangen cabinet wall mounted not into studs for years.
Good luck! One last thought, do you have a screw you can remove and take to the hardware store? We just bought a 1940 house and I did that with a couple items. Also, this is a set of Swedish screws.
Helpful to get an electric screwdriver as well. You'll be driving hundreds of screws. You can get by with a drill/driver or impact but using a low speed electric makes installing all the pins etc much easier.
I used this one but there are many similar ones including the IKEA one
This is a super old thread, but if anyone has a wild time hunting for lightbulbs that fit here’s a amazon link to some small cheap bulbs that worked for my Tokabo!
That last one is going to be a doozy. I don't know how OCD you are about the details but before securing them to the wall make sure you can tolerate the bottom looking weird and uneven.

If I had any math skills I would level the floor with a platform of sorts instead of balancing them out. Luckily you have only one that looks out of control. I would first secure numbers 3 and 4 to the wall and use small mending plates to connect them at the top. Then level number two and secure it the same way. After that do a test run with the shims and see if you like how the first one looks.

I used Flexible Plastic Shims and loved it. Because you can cut the parts that stick out. Also, get a level because after a while you may get cross-eyed. I bought an 8-inch level as well but thought it was too small then again the most important quality is durability. It fell on my head many times and didn't break.
you don't need one. It's just an adapter. I put one into a hemma cord set with a regolit for more light.
I bought the besta soft close hinges on amazon.
I'm in the same boat, and just ordered armrests I found on Amazon, similar to these: 3D armrests. I assume the holes won't fit so I'll be drilling new ones in the seat bottom, using bolt inserts to attach the armrests.
We love it too! It’s kind of expensive but it tucks under the couch nicely and it is like 35% off right now. We loved it enough, we bought a second one.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FHXH5AS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sure, though I should mention I live in Germany... I bought this one, the viscofoam option. I picked that one because my mattress was from the same maker and I emailed them to ask which topper was their softest. I only weigh 43kg so in general most beds feel firm AF to me :/ Also a big key to me was to not use the topper cover and just put sheets directly over the topper- the cover was too tight and restricted the "sinking" ability of the foam.
If you need to find something similar in the US, I would search viscofoam and make sure the manufacturer allows a trial sleep. I actually asked my mom in the US what she has because it was amazing when I visited, but it was wayyy out of my budget haha.
Yes, for moving the place for the hinge you need a forstner drill with the size of the hinge (choose carefully).
Also I would advise to check if it fits before making any new holes just by assembling the hinge between the drawers without assembling the door and trying it to move to close/open state.
could do the expensive solution and do philips hue light strips or light bars, but i mean this would probably work really good from amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Keyola-Cabinet-Kitchen-Counter-Brightness/dp/B074QMTT76/ref=sxin\_24\_ac\_d\_rm?ac\_md=4-3-c2hvd2Nhc2UgbGlnaHRpbmc%3D-ac\_d\_rm\_rm\_rm&crid=8FE6BDS42QBA&cv\_ct\_cx=shelf+lighting&keywords=shelf+lighting&pd\_...
My husband loved having a laser level for installing the rails, especially in our older home. Definitely the Pozi drive drill bits.
A cabinet hardware jig was really helpful for installing hardware in the center of our drawers:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0873WVT9F/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_94C60JMFF78TGNPX2V5J
If you have any custom cabinets where you're converting drawers to doors, you'll want a Forstner bit for drilling the hinge holes.
Wouldn't your appliance block the view of the hole? You could use some cable clips to route the cord to the back corner and over the back with something like this- https://smile.amazon.com/100pcs-Adhesive-Organizer-Management-Included/dp/B0916X7N24/
You can also try something like this: https://www.amazon.com/MITSUGIRON-Furniture-Fall-Prevention-TZ-90/dp/B000CQQ2JK
It's a little strip of slanted plastic that goes in front of a shelf to tilt the shelf backwards against the wall a little bit to keep it from falling. The intent of the product is for earthquake protection, but it seems like you could use it here as well.
Just for your info in case it helps anyone else out - I'm not sure if they fit the Ikea hinges or not but this is what you can use on the Blum hinges with blumotion:

Just make sure you get the correct size for your mattress.
I assume you have picked out your handles/knobs. Ikea sells a fixa template but it is plastic and not perfect for the cabinet holes. I have used a cabinet jig you can find many on Amazon. I ordered this one.

How about contact paper?
(Like this: https://www.amazon.com/VEELIKE-Removable-Countertops-Waterproof-Decoractive/dp/B08QZ32NTM?ref_=ast_sto_dp)
There should be a wide variety of colors and patterns (including marble or wood or more fun ones) and the example I gave is matte, but there should be gloss ones, too.
The GURSKEN looks like it has pretty flat surfaces, so you won't have to get too fancy or creative with trimming the contact paper.
Also, bonus: if you get bored with the color, you can easily peal it off and get a different one.
It's so funny that ontario has such a mismatched stock of frames to legs, but I'm glad it meant I was able to find one! you could put a hanging file in a pull-out bin. I bought a top-opening file organizer that fits nicely, but I wish ikea had something longer than their standard bins.

Hey! I am also late to this thread but I think I can help here. I am 6'4 and I have the 98in ekbacken with an OLOV center leg mounted in the middle of the desk on the back against the wall about as close as I can get it to the edge. I haven't seen anyone report that their ekbacken bowed, but mine definitely has over time. I bought it and my alex drawers each about a year ago, and I do use these risers screwed into the top of the drawer units. The desk is still very sturdy, but it is definitely noticeably bending in the middle. I am moving in ~2 months and I havent decided if I am going to keep the ekbacken or go with something else. Hope this helped!
Well, I was able to use 2 screws on each side, and these 50 dollar armrests from Amazon. The screws measured 5/16 inch in diameter, and 1 inch long, and fit snugly in the default holes the Jarvfjallet has. I used a 3/16 hex key to screw them in. One hole is left unused on each side.
I wouldn't highly recommend the armrests as they are hard and a bit too high at the lowest height, but the 4D adjustment works well and it is definitely nice to have after using the chair without armrests for 6 months. Of course I can always take them off in just a few minutes if I ever want to.

These are amazing to have on hand. I've had 4 of them for years (originally purchased at Sam's Club). Rated to 1,000 lbs, comfortable to sit on, easy to store and doesn't look back when you bring them out for parties.

If you're thinking for regular dining chairs, I would recommend looking for more durable than IKEA.
