Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words. FoundMyFitness is trending #10 on iTunes for Fitness & Nutrition! I'd love to see that happen on Stitcher too if you guys use those mediums... make sure to check it out!
If you guys have any questions about anything we talked about on the show leave message and I'll try to get back to you guys in the morning.
Raab (himself) just started a pretty good pod cast and has been reconnecting with all the cky/jackass guys you should give one a listen. Bathroom Break... Its also on itunes

Love this guy! Anyone who's unfamiliar he wrote a book last year called The Strange Death of Europe.
Here's a speech he gave that got a lot of traction as well.
Yeah, I'd be careful judging a book by a four word self-description of one person who reviewed it.
Here's the Amazon link to the book, which a lot of people have raved about: https://www.amazon.com/Rose-Paracelsus-Secrets-Sacraments/dp/0692509003
I'm listening right now. He's trying to make a case for astrology.
I love the podcast, but Joe really needs to start becoming better educated. There's no excuse these days for someone who claims to be interested in how the world works to remain ignorant of the actual reasons.
The moon doesn't have any effect on behavior, if that were the case we'd be able to run an experiment to show that to be the case.
Joe, or anyone associated with the podcast that might see this, please spend an hour or 2 a week at Khan Academy.
Most of the things that fascinate have actual, testable answers that are far more fascinating than the boring, false answers given by charlatan astrologers.
Also, soon EdX will be running full scale.
The Book of Mormon is supposed to be a history of Native Americans (who sailed to the Americas in 600BC from Jerusalem) who wrote down the history on golden plates, translated by Joseph Smith in the 1820s. But of course, there are all kinds of anachronisms like steel, chariots, and horses that didn't exist in the Americas until Europeans showed up. Apologists for the church try to explain it away, suggesting that since Joseph Smith was translating, he used familiar words for unfamiliar objects. So maybe "horses" refer to animals that did exist, like tapirs. Go google "tapir", they are not animals you can ride around or be used to pull chariots. Ex-mormons find this unconvincing, obviously. It's become a joke amongst us, we even have tshirts for it.
When I went to college I had to write papers, research, collect data and evidence, and argue my stances.
Is this going to just be basically YouTube videos you pay for?
If so, there is already this
You bring up a solid point, however you're falling into the just world fallacy. Not everyone that can't put together a 1000 dollars 'deserved' it. My guess is that at least 50% of that 63% number are hardworking americans working multiple jobs that simply can't break out of the paycheck to paycheck trap. The cost of living has been outpacing pay for 30 years.
I agree that some people simply don't budget properly or are miss appropriating or aren't using their time to get skills etc. but that's simply not the entire story at all
There's a good book on this called Nickeled and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich.
This is not coming from a bleeding heart liberal either. I'm a libertarian that wants to see welfare reduced but that doesn't mean there aren't some serious problems with the economy right now.
No, that’s the actual definition.
I ordered some of these NMN from Amazon. I wonder if anyone has any cheaper/better alternatives - it seems like each capsule is 125mg so you would need to take 8 of them in the course of a day to get to the 1gram he mentioned. Seems like Resveratrol is much more readily available in larger dosages and way cheaper, so you can easily hit the 500mg even in the "Trans Resveratrol Complex" part which seems like the important one. I got this one, again from Amazon.
I'm a skeptic when it comes to anything brain/mood/life enhancing - for example alpha brain in pill form does NOTHING for me, while Alpha Brain in those soluble packets does work quite well. The only criticism is that it's too expensive for what it is, even with the subscription plans.
Gavin McInnes is a closeted homosexual larping as a Christian conservative, in a bizarre smokescreen to hide his true sexuality. Most gay men come out of the closet at some point, but McInnes bounces back and forth between sticking things up his ass, then writing screenplays titled "How to Be a Man."
https://www.amazon.com/How-Be-Man-Gavin-McInnes/dp/B00J0THPRS
If Liberace was still alive, he'd kick Gavin's ass for being such a fraud.
Cumia, on the other hand, is just a racist piece of shit.
The book in question is:
It's a #1 Best Seller in LGBT Demographic Studies. (According to Amazon). See it for your self <strong>here</strong>.
I wasn't really interested in seeing what this is about, to be honest, I mean, live and let live, as long as no one is hurting someone else, let them live their lives as they want to, however they want to; but now with all the drama, I'd like to read this to see how much of it is total nonsense or not.
Me too.
Hanks Everyday - No Break Thick Leather Belt - Mens Heavy Duty Belts- USA Made -100 Year Warranty - Brown - 32 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KTUQJX2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KMgqDbVHSB73R
Turns out I bought one a year ago and it is actually my favorite belt and it is indeed bad ass, despite that retarded review on this post. Would recommend.
Books mentioned in this episode:
Which would make sense if 3 of those things were not things Rogan doesn't do. I'm including reading because in the 6 years of listening from what I gather Rogan has only read: Best Evidence, Fingerprints of the Gods, The War of Art and some book about coyotes.
> nothing that touches the detail and scope of SC Gwynne's book
Speaking of detail... The Comanche Empire by Pekka Hämäläinen makes Gwynne's book seem like it was written for kids in the sense that it's a thesis level piece of non-fiction literature that painstakingly cross-references American, British, French, Spanish and the Natives own writings in an attempt to be as accurate as possible.
For a good year until about 9 months ago I was balls-deep into the history of Native Americans. Unfortunately this book was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I will get round to finishing it, I just wish it was the first book I came across and not the last because it's so obviously a labour of love. The best way I can think of getting across how dense this book feels (for better and for worse), is pointing out that Gwynne has a master's degree in writing who took an interest in the topic, whereas Hämäläinen is a History Professor who has dedicated his entire working career to it.
Just so you all know I found one.
Hey bud - just a heads up - checkout the difference between the Host Defense capsule lion's mane vs extract lion's mane. Unfortunately the capsules are only mycelium on grain, vs the extract - which has both fruiting body + mycelium. Most of the studies on lions mane have been done with fruiting body.
Something like this

>Still, people like Dave Rubin cynically use the cause of free speech to fearmonger for their personal monetary gain, and give good PR to people like Lauryn southern and stephan Molyneux, and (insert right wing culture war figure here) and they a get their bills laid paid by the Koch's.
On the flip side, the fearmongering surrounding Dave Rubin, Lauryn Southern & Stephan Molyneux to justify censorship is also worrying. Recently Citation Needed had an interview with P. E. Moskowitz, who wrote "The Case Against Free Speech: The First Amendment, Fascism, and the Future of Dissent" which was pretty interesting.
One of the concepts I'm personally having trouble with, is the argument at 54:30 in the Citation Needed episode. They say conservative speech is being weaponized to Bludgeon others people's speech. How is their speech being weaponized and used to silence others speech, that concept I'm having a hard time wrap my head around.
They have accounts pre-made. Most with lots of history, some accounts would be new and they encourage you to post in off-topic subreddits to seem genuine. As much time is spent building up account histories to look legitimate as there is shilling, so much of it was just normal reddit participation with wrongthink restrictions.
There were multiple accounts, VPNs provided(CyberGhost IIRC), and there were no tickets in like in actual IT(my career) but it was organized through MS Teams with ticket-style requests and activities. Time wasn't logged. Typically your team leader(who has access to other documents we don't through a different teams page) will share some marketing material and talking points. Each account's post history is reviewed by somebody else and they delete posts/accounts accordingly. You have to sign an NDA. I wasn't a political shill but I shilled for a product called Tile which is a nifty little device that has saved me so much time and headache. (i'm joking, the product fucking sucks and the reviews are artificial)
>I argue with shills/bots all the time for fun. I've noticed a few patterns and I'd love to flesh them out.
If you figure out what their narrative is, just find some objective report with either product comparisons or statistics or whatever and keep replying to their post. The way it works is they push their narrative by preventing opposing information from being visible. This is why downvotes are so strong on reddit, it works in their favor. Also use Reddit enhancement suite and tag their username for whatever they're doing, if you're really dedicated. Sometimes they'll circlejerk on a post and expose themselves, then you can get a list of usernames who are complicit.
If you haven't seen them, check out Hacking Democracy and/or Murder, Spies & Voting Lies.
The way we vote now is extremely vulnerable, and has already been hijacked.
I'm not saying online voting is the solution, but the way we do it now is clearly not working. I think exploring other options is a good thing.
I second The New Pearl Harbor. It directly refutes the debunkers everyone always brings up - Popular Mechanics - and shows how full of shit they are.
There's also a documentary where a professor in Alaska that recently did a study to try and replicate the collapse of building 7 and could not do it.
He went to Bohemian Grove with Jon Ronson, a respected writer who invited the otherwise unknown Jones along. Ronson saw a bunch of rich white dudes doing dumb frat rituals, Jones whipped it into human sacrifice of a live baby.
Here’s a link to a short piece Ronson wrote on Jones, including his thoughts about Bohemian Grove. As they love to say, Do Your Own Research. It’s actually a great read and shows the constant shifting grift of the radical right just before the 2016 election.

Hey fellow Joe Rogan fans,
I'm a politically minded app developer and wanted to tell you about an app I made ahead of the 2020 presidential elections.
The idea: The app matches you with someone who has different political views. It aims to be a counter draft to the status quo of echo chambers and political discourse dominated by labels and insults. Everyone is welcome! Just leave me a message and let me know about your thoughts.
The app is available for iOS and Android:

Books mentioned in this episode:
I have a good laugh every time one of the 4 main sports are brought up and Joe tries to give his two cents on it. He knows more about MMA than almost anyone out there but when it comes to baseball for example he knows less than my female friends. He does give it a shot but as a mild to big baseball fan, hearing him talk about it is like hearing my dad talk about rap music.
In regards to Pete Rose: 'I feel bad because there was all that speculation that Pete Rose gambled on his own team but I don't think that was ever shown to be true.. As I said though, he knows more about MMA than I know about any sport so I'd probably sound silly talking MMA to him too.
>Do you know how many of the people arrested in connection with the Capitol invasion were active users of Parler?
>Zero.
This part is not true. I don't know how he would know the planning was only done on Facebook since he didn't do the basic work to find these peoples Parler accounts I can't see how he did the work to interview them and find out how they organized. https://web.archive.org/web/20210106213432/https://parler.com/profile/JakeAngeli/posts
Books mentioned in this episode:
I'm reading The Power of Now, really good book so far. So you would recommend Waking Up? I'm thinking about picking that up as well.
If anyone in this thread is interested in doing meditation, start with Mindfulness in Plain English (free on this site). It's a really good no bullshit practical guide to meditation. When I first starting looking into meditation it was difficult to cut through all the woo-woo cosmic energy nonsense, so that book really helped when I found it.
I think you mean hemp but actual weed production has been big in that area for a long time.
One of the insane stories from that book was about farmers who'd get caught growing ACRES of weed in the 60s. Know what happened to them when it got discovered? The Sheriff would send a deputy out and he'd supervise the farmer brush hogging the crop. No prison, no arrest, just forcing them to destroy the crop and telling them not to do it again.
Hey fellow Joe Rogan fans,
I'm a politically minded app developer and wanted to tell you about an app I made. I think people who like Joe's podcast might appreciate the idea.

Chinese martial arts had already started to devolve before Mao took over. From the preface of Chin Na Fa, originally published in 1936 :
>Those who have practiced these arts twenty or thirty years have never defeated anyone who has practiced Western boxing or Judo. Why is this? It is because the practitioners of Shaolin and Wudang styles only pay attention to the beauty of their forms - they lack practical methods and spirit and have lost the true transmissions of their ancestors. Hence, our martial arts are viewed by outsiders merely as rigorous dancing.
He was on the Joe Rogan Experience and talks about how misinformed he was and fed misinformation. The episode is wild. They talk about ufos, flat earth, social media, nazis running NASA, clockwork elves, and more. Also, its 5hrs long and he is crazy.
Nice article about Schiff and his love of gold - "It's critical to understand how Peter Schiff actually makes his money. There are the mutual funds managed by his brokerage firm, Euro Pacific Capital. Those funds charge fees on the capital invested, generally around 1.5% annually. The funds are highly concentrated in the business of gold, making them a perfect place for fearful investors to park their capital after seeing Schiff on TV, online, or on the radio. In other words, he's in the business of selling gold, so it makes sense that he'd consistently advocate for the metal over time.
Further, he profits from the sale of his books and other media products. At the end of the day, Peter Schiff's market predictions will be correct if gold rises and incorrect if gold falls. He'll continue padding his net worth as long as investors put their capital into his funds, regardless of the price of gold"
I haven’t been vague.
“Right side of history” is the gaping hole that lets bias flood into the room. Everyone can be convinced god is on their side, just as everyone can be convinced they are on the right side history..
FYI, another sign or bias is when someone is intent on treating their collaborators as opponents.
Richard "Hail Trump" Spencer. He coined the term alt-right to specifically disguise white supremacy as anti-establishment conservatism and hijack the republican party.
yes and the "dailywire" would totally be the judge of that kind [nonsense](https://www.newsguardtech.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/NG-dailywire.com-Dec2020update.pdf)

It didnt work and neither does alpha brain
> It would be very un-Rogan to censor bitches
Tell that to his sister Bridget Rogan, the little guy even made an entire section of his website to censor those who call him out.
I'd highly recommend checking out the documentary Travis on Amazon. A lot more informative than the Hollywood adaptation.
He's a crackpot schlocky spy novelist that was last a journalist 10 years ago.
Oh, and the book he published last year claims that marijuana is causing a secret epidemic of violence and psychosis that the media is trying to hide.
https://www.amazon.com/Tell-Your-Children-Marijuana-Violence/dp/1982103663
He's a trash nutjob with no medical training that should be listened to by exactly zero people.
Viper swag for sure. He'll appreciate it, not just anyone drives a Viper, those guys always take a lot of pride in their cars.
There's also lots of other cool pieces of art and books on Amazon, with $50 as a budget you could get him some great stuff.
Guest Request: Former Minneapolis Police sergeant Mike Quinn, who wrote a book about the racism and corruption in the MPD. It's titled: Walking With the Devil: The Police Code of Silence - The Promise of Peer Intervention: What Bad Cops Don't Want You to Know and Good Cops Won't Tell You. It was published in 2014, and the police union hates him for it.
Amazon bio: Mike Quinn is a retired Minneapolis Police sergeant. From 1975 to 1999 he served in both uniform and plain clothes in a number of assignments including internal affairs investigator, supervising uniformed precinct officers, and supervising high profile, highly decorated undercover operations. He supervised the Minneapolis Police Academy from 1994-1999 where he was responsible for ensuring that the training complied with all state and federal laws as well as department policy. He was the Deputy Director of Minnesota Police Corps Program where he was responsible for the development and implementation of a 22-week residential academy for police officers and state patrol troopers. He is a community faculty member of Metropolitan State University where he co-teaches a course in “Best Practices in Law Enforcement Ethics and Leadership” He is the Chairman of the Inver Hills Community College Law Enforcement Advisory Board.

Found out about him from this post in /r/Minnesota https://www.reddit.com/r/minnesota/comments/gz60zq/this_needs_to_be_seen_by_more_people/
I can't make this a Guest Request post because he doesn't have a wikipedia page, so this will probably be buried and never seen.
The War of Art by Steven Pressfield
Lately he's been recommending Tribe by Sebastian Junger
Agree on the others already mentioned:
The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi
Food of the Gods by Terence McKenna
Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely
It's not exclusively about advertising but it's a really good book. Highly recommended!
All of them.
Teddy's list includes insults used before, during, and after The Presidency read The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt By Edmund Morris to hear more about this beast.
Here's an example
Theodore Roosevelt’s opening line was hardly remarkable for a presidential campaign speech: “Friends, I shall ask you to be as quiet as possible.” His second line, however, was a bombshell.
“I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot.”
“It takes more than that to kill a bull moose,”
http://www.history.com/news/shot-in-the-chest-100-years-ago-teddy-roosevelt-kept-on-talking
He could also consider having someone on that has a different viewpoint. This article gives some alternative thoughts on Schiff.
Noam Chomsky shares almost all of JP's opinions on postmodernism. Are you saying Chomsky doesn't understand critical theory or marxism?
Chomsky has been the most vocal critic of postmodernism for half a century, and he points out that postmodernism is tightly bound to marxism and what some would call "cultural marxism" (idk if he ever uses that phrase) that developed alongside postmodernism in universities' social science departments.
>Even more than this general accusation against theorists in the humanities, Chomsky makes the political point that French intellectuals in Paris, “the center of the rot,” were the last group of leftists to be dedicated, “flaming” Stalinists and Maoists. In order to save face, such people had to suddenly become “the first people in the world to have discovered the gulags.” Source
>"It’s considered very left wing, very advanced. Some of what appears in it sort of actually makes sense, but when you reproduce it in monosyllables, it turns out to be truisms. It’s perfectly true that when you look at scientists in the West, they’re mostly men, it’s perfectly true that women have had a hard time breaking into the scientific fields, and it’s perfectly true that there are institutional factors determining how science proceeds that reflect power structures. All of this can be described literally in monosyllables, and it turns out to be truisms. On the other hand, you don’t get to be a respected intellectual by presenting truisms in monosyllables." - Chomsky

The company LogMeIn purchased it and they have a sketchy reputation when it comes to privacy. So that's one of the major reasons people ditched PIA. I still continued to use them after LogMeIn took over, but after a few months I noticed my connection speed kept dropping. I use the port forwarding feature and PIA really sucks with that since the only port forwarding servers are the ones outside the US.
I pay for 400 Mbps. I ran speedtests often and was blown away by Mullvad's speed.
PIA: 200-280 Mbps
Mullvad: 430 Mbps
He released a book too. I'm actually surprised he never went on the JRE to talk about it. He went on Lex's podcast
This was actually pretty interesting. Even though Smith comes off pretty bummed out about his movie career so far.
...I liked the news radio talk.
Couldn't find it streaming anywhere but is pretty decently priced on Amazon.
complete series DVD.
>Perhaps try and not let your political bias cloud your judgement.
There is nothing political about it. It's actually hilarious that you even bring politics into it.

>Happy to reinforce that the absolute and only main reason anyone at all dislikes the Joe Rogan Podcast, is because they're politically bias. And to pepper that with "A majority of all general hate stems from the same sentiment".
'The absolute and only main reason'. I love that.

>Here's a book "Connecting the Dots" that's for your level of social skills.
I guess we've moved onto insults now. Hope your day takes a turn for the better.
Nope, front page top comments
Those comments were actually highly upvoted and the post was on the front page of reddit.
I've often thought that Joe reminds me of Paris Hilton, or all these other people that suffer from S.F.i.E.P. Syndrome. It's hilarious. He does have a good smile though.
Redban on the other hand...well, I do worry about that boy. Not the silly faces, that's kinda funny. It's that ashen pall his face often has. It reminds me of people I've seen that have cancer or are really sick with something. At first I thought maybe it was just the camera or the lighting, but in most cases, Joe and the guest have healthy skin tone while Redban just looks like death.
Edit: I a word.
KIDS IN CAGES!
just kidding. Mobile crane operator is probably cheaper than those exoskeleton suits for warehouse manipulators. And operating faster.
I can imagine they will use https://www.amazon.com/Coastal-Arcade-Crane-Claw-Machine/dp/B071P6V2R7 for interviews to prove your skills :D
It’s for free on Amazon now! It’s about the whole journey that got me to running an ultra on LSD. Born to Run but more drugs!
Can't find a single ExpressVPN connection in the US or Canada to be able to watch these.....
you got paid the moon Joe because you just fucked a shit ton of loyal listeners.
You're turning into a sellout like everyone else.
Could've stayed on knew you were making big bucks.
Can't wait until Spotify says no more Alex Jones.
The TR posdcasts would have to be like, 5 three hour specials...
All the shit that man did and saw. All the hunting. Exploring the Amazon...
This book is amazing if you're a Teddy Roosevelt fan.
Why not just wear red glasses instead? These block blue lasers and blue light in general https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009T6RN0G/ Codeword Rogan. You cannot enter it on Amazon, so just repeat it out loud while purchasing stuff.
This one was original research
Also, you're hammering his educational/research background very hard. If we are going to compare Aragon and Lustig, we should compare their ideas rather than their backgrounds.
The technology for this stuff is barely, if even in its infancy. Which is pretty amazing. But we have atleast a few years in my opinion until there is something to be actually worried about

Sam is just largely wrong on this point.
This would be true if other politicians weren't talking about jihadism, or if he were supported in spite of his policies, but both are wrong.
Other republicans talk about this all the time, and most americanssupport his policies
Where exactly am i doing "mental gymnastics" ? Literally every pundit uses their own prediction system, you dumb or what ?
Here's Huffpost -> https://www.huffpost.com/entry/forecast-2016-president_n_57ee8eede4b0c2407cdd9155
Here's 538 -> https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/a-users-guide-to-fivethirtyeights-2016-general-election-forecast/
Notice the huge difference in methodology, and the huge difference in end results, election day found the Huff Tracker giving Clinton 99% chance to win, 538's was only at 71%, but i had periods of time where Clinton and Trump were very close one to another.
Listening to it, Ari was touted! In the part where he said that the Grand Palace was closed, it was not. There are MANY people standing around tourist attractions in Thailand who seem "nice" and "well dressed" and give you free maps for "other temples which are open". These are assholes benefiting from tourists that they send to their destinations. These are tourist traps. Don't fall for them. More info too keep in mind if you are going to Thailand: http://wikitravel.org/en/Thailand (scroll down to Scams)
Edit: seems like so many people fell for the infamous trap! But at least they realized that they were: http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Asia/Thailand/Central_Eastern_Thailand/Bangkok-1445238/Tourist_Traps-Bangkok-Grand_Palace_Closed_Scam-BR-1.html
I would say Excel has some sort of intelligence aswell (solving math problems), but that is besides the point. Just because another program can do some things an AI can doesn't mean it's not an AI.

> It plows through a tree of possible moves which it then also evaluates with a simple score. It then chooses the move with the highest score. It just calculates so far ahead and doesn't make mistakes.

This is where you are wrong and why Go is a good example game for AI.

In e.g. chess you can do this to some extend. There are algorithms which do this to a great extent. The most prominent is chess 'engine' is stockfish.
Stockfish works similar to what you described. Again Deepmind's AlphaZero (a complicated neural network that trains by playing against itself) beat Stockfish two years ago.

If you ever play Go, you will quickly notice that a statistical assessment won't work, especially in the early stages of the game when the board is less crowded. This is why it was such a milestone for AI.

I think we have different definitions for intelligence, which is alright since I don't think there is a clear definition for it. I'm gonna look into that JRE episode in the next days, looks like an interesting one that I've missed.
Oh you mean for politics? After discussing, the mod team decided not to for several reasons. It's too subjective and hard to define, the "offenders" will just spam the subreddit anyway and trolling will increase. Also, it's not part of the bet- this was about abstaining from alcohol and exercising. Nothing about politics. Plus, others have added in no fapping, no porn, no stevia, no kratom, and on and on. We could end up making a novel about all the little changes we could make.
If you are bothered by certain users or posts, you can use RES to block those. Problem solved.
It did until it was restricted. Look at India and Mexico as other examples. Maybe use swisscows.com instead of google
The Indian Bar Association is currently taking the WHO to task for lying about ivermectin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WenJhxVWekU
You can find it on amazon. Looks like Chinesium though. https://www.amazon.com/Wildswan-Military-Flight-Jacket-B4034B-M/dp/B07SPXZXSM/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=Nasa%2BBomber%2BJacket&qid=1578433630&s=apparel&sr=1-4&th=1
Needs are subjective in nature, of course, but most people have the same basic needs: shelter, food, security, love and community etc. So what is your point?
Love and security are subjective by nature, thus making them nurture. I will not watch a single documentary, based on the recommendation of a person who will not acknowledge that the debate is not really a human debate any more. Science has acknowledged see and at least read the reviews: https://www.amazon.com/Dependent-Gene-Fallacy-Nature-Nurture/dp/0805072802/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416369099&sr=8-1&keywords=the+dependent+gene
That is only one example contrary to your youtube video. Joe always complains about those who watch a dramatic doc and then think they know everything. There is now only generally one side...its both, its a symbiotic relationship...Read more instead of watching edited videos. Bibliographies are great verification of facts.
The Power Of Now and Waking Up both have very little instructions for practice. Tolle does a good job at reiterating the truth of the human condition but provides almost nothing to work with. If you want a more comprehensive and complete meditation manual look at The Mind Illuminated by Dr John Yates or Ingram's Mastering The Core Teachings Of The Buddha.
Random question... but obviously Joe Rogan has read The War of Art, he talks about it a lot. I also notice that Joey Diaz has read it as well, because anytime someone asks him about a book, he defaults to talking about that book.
Do we know who read it first? I'm assuming Rogan read it first and then highly recommended it to Uncle Joey. Is this right?
Good list, @AsphaltBellyFlop. Some of my favorites that weren't mentioned:
The guests don't matter. Don't worry about the guests.
Thanks for your reply. Its nice to have a discussion like this on this sub.
I have some familiarity with Rawls and I'm very familiar with Locke. What I was referring to was both the exact Locke quote you provided as well as Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations.
I'll discuss the issue that I kind of have with each and explain how, in my opinion, they lend themselves to some of Marx's conclusions:
-The idea that mixing your labor with property kind of lends itself to this sort of mistic idea that something magical is happening in the process, that there's some outside force that makes the lumber in a tree yours when you cut it from an unclaimed forest. What I believe makes it property is the fact that you're able to lay claim to it without anyone disputing. The tree is either yours in the first place, or it isn't. Cutting it down and carving a chair out of it isn't what makes it property.
edit: (I'm deleting an example that kind of strays from the point) We could go deeper here, but I'll leave it at that for now.
-An issue I take with Adam Smith is that he claimed that value was derived from labor. This is the really dangerous mistake that lends itself to Socialism. It overlooked the fact that value is subjective (I believe Smith was also unaware of marginal utility). For instance, if I mix my labor with raw ingredients and bake a pie, the value of the result of my labor is completely subjective. I could offer it to a starving man with a $20bill and my efforts would be valued at $20 minus my labor, time and capital (ingredients/supplies). I could offer the same pie to a diabetic and it'd actually have negative value. So in that case, my labor actually has created a negative value and I've wasted my time, labor and capital.
I'd be happy to PM if you don't want to blog at eachother here. :)
Over at /r/meditation, they give the book "Mindfulness in Plain English" as one of the first introductions into meditation. They use what's called the vipassana method. The e-book can be found here: http://www.urbandharma.org/udharma4/mpe.html and you can just jump to chapter 5 to learn the technique if you don't have many questions that need to be answered.
I guess I didn't know that Spotify had podcasts to begin with.
I use doubleTwist Music Player to manage my podcast subscriptions. I have the option to download or stream directly through the app. It works great, but only has up to the last 200 most recent podcasts.
Try out BeyondPod Podcast Manager,
I use it and it's always worked reliable for me. The full version is a bit expensive. But id say its worth the money. I've tried out a couple others apps and this one has been the most reliable.
Anyone heard if Google Listen got itself figured out?
He's the only candidate in the race openly accepting corporate money at this point. Don't be fooled by the friendly act he's been doing all over the corporate media. He's the favorite of the establishment and he's absolute trash. I'd rather have Trump as president for life than suffer through one term of this disingenuous little rat.
I had to put down my 6-month-old kitty last year, and have really been struggling to deal with death and mortality for the past year or so, really just coming to terms with it like Kevin has so I don't go out scared and screaming in the end, and also so I am more prepared when its time for my other pets too. Its not something we talk about, I've tried with my parents but they don't seem to really want to address it, everyone just seems to avoid the most ultimate truth any of us will ever experience until its too late and that's what I want to avoid.
This episode with Kevin and Joe, mostly Kevin, talking about his mom, and his own experience and of course their dogs, helped me quite a bit, but I still have to watch this other video every once in a while and its still tough.

Have a listen, Chris Ryan's pod with dudes who live there in the Mordor: https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cDovL3RhbmdlbnQubGlic3luLmNvbS9yc3M&ep=14&episode=NGE3ZThhNmQtOGM4Yy00YzEyLWFhM2ItODk2MzM4YTlmNWU3
Unfortunately, it’s in the “small print” of the offers for premium.

You’re only offered no ads and skips for music. Spotify knew this going into it, and Joe Rogan had to have known too. It’s probably one of the reasons why Spotify paid Joe Rogan so much to join the app exclusively.
I think the comment was referring to the data linked to from this FOI request made to the MHPRA: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/reg_174_for_pfizer_covid_19_mrna
It is a Pfizer Pharmacokinetic property study: https://www.docdroid.net/xq0Z8B0/pfizer-report-japanese-government-pdf
The request summarises the results of the study: >The study shows that in many organs the vaccine plasma level keeps rising after 2 days (concentration (ug lipid equivalent/g [or mL]: males and females combined) (ranking) Liver (24.3); Spleen (23.4); Adrenaline glands (18.2); Ovarium (12.3); Bone marrow (3,77); Pancreas (0.6); Uterus (0.5); Testes (0.3); Eyes (0.1) To note is that the Adrenaline glands being affected by high plasma levels will cause an overall organ stress; which in turn affects particular the immune and the nervous system.
It is worth reading the summary. The linked document is in Japanese except for the results table.
I blew a lot of Paleo dieters minds' when they discovered a tribe of vegan Neanderthals.
probably a little more than half of this, as this has others (deathsquad, moms house, bill burr, ...). this is 5 years of listening to podcasts....nuts.
>But action is not a synonym of theory or practice
I mean it is (see under: exercise, application), but we clearly aren't going anywhere with this. We are both being pedantic, so the only person who's going to win the argument is the more stubborn one.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but have a good time.
Make sure you read about Thailand if it's your first time there. Don't fall for tourist traps like Ari did. Thailand guid (read regardless of your final destination): http://wikitravel.org/en/Thailand BKK guide: http://wikitravel.org/en/Bangkok
Whatever you're trying to say is blocked
I have no idea what the issue is, but do you have any breakdowns or alternative sources? Not being able to look at it, I have no idea if it identifies health and wellness of the population or by what measures.
Thanks for link and notes here's a link to a recent podcast Matt Walker did with Kevin Rose
This documentary is awesome and utterly terrifying. It is a must watch for everyone who uses the internet, especially anyone who thinks we've evolved into a safer world because of it. Pair this with Werner Herzog's: Lo and Behold" ( currently on Netflix streaming )as a perfect way to slap the shit out of Joe and Duncan with their own "Praise be the internet, the perfect equalizer, Praise be to the internet, it will save us all" bullshit.
Randall Carlson was on Fade to Black last night if anyone else out there misses him
Do you know how long it takes to get to 8chan? And how long for Facebook? And how long for Pornhub?
Answer: Instantaneously. All of them.
Thats kind of the point of the internet. When you go to Parler.com nobody knows whether AWS or Epik are behind it. The only way theyre in a "dingy corner" is because it's just generally socially unacceptable to be the sort of far right treason loving weirdo that spends a lot of time on Parler. This was always Parler's destiny and other than a brief up tick in November they were already looking pretty shitty.
The test that Lee was referring to is the Briggs Myers personality test. My ex gf was a psychologist and used to analyze me and surprisingly i found the results of the test to be alarmingly accurate. If anyone is interested in analyzing your personality type you can do it for free here. You dont need to put in a real name or email address just answer the questions honestly, it takes about 15-20 minutes.
