Some people are still living in the past I guess, or at least that's what I assumed vsing this Azir Irelia player today...

Funny post, but I’m seeing a lot of comments that mistakenly think the lore explanation for Golden Aegis is magic. If we look at Jarvan IV’s page on the LoL website, the description of his ability, Golden Aegis, makes no reference to magic.
“Jarvan IV calls upon the ancient kings of Demacia to shield him from harm and slow surrounding enemies.”
Side note, I think it’s neat how they translated those effects into LoR :)
Anyway, it seems clear that the source of power for this card is ancestral spirits, not magic.
Latest champion roadmap features a support with the description "Money runs this city. Technology, power, people", which fits Mel exactly.

Are there any plans on expanding or exploring other continents of Runeterra? I just want to see a world beyond Valoran, Shurima, and Ionia. I'm so curious what the other continents look like!
As of right now, we’re working on the understanding that the “known” map of Runeterra represents about 1/6th of the world. We’ve still got plenty of those three continents to fill out and define, though—the map is nowhere near completion, yet.
In terms of adding new lands to it, it’s not something we’d ever rule out, if those lands are proven to exist. But it would likely require us to actually set more stories outside of the three continents, and thus far that is something we have not done.
But we definitely do know of events that have taken place outside of the known map. Many of the oldest civilizations in Shurima came from a westward cultural migration, meaning that there are (or at least were) much older civilizations in unknown lands far to the east. Neeko’s vastayan tribe, the Oovi-kat, also appear to have suffered some sort of catastrophe in fairly recent times, forcing her to flee into what is now known to be Ixtal. It’s also very likely that the original homeland of Hecarim, Kalista, and Ledros existed somewhere else, since there is no clear indication that this kingdom continued to exist anywhere in Valoran, after the Ruination of the Blessed Isles.
Are any of these things linked? Right now, it’s impossible to say… but we will continue to explore them, and who knows where that will take us in future.

I wasn't either. It, apparently, is an app store for Asian apps and games. Seems like it directly links through to the Google play install of the app via the Asian app store.
I googled "QooApp" and installed it through the link here: https://apps.qoo-app.com/en/app/880
Once installed, I used the magnifying glass in app to search for "Legends of Runeterra".
I installed it via the app, making sure I had uninstalled the old version first (keeping the apk around just in case).
Then I just logged in and it updated and everything was great.
there's some instructions in /r/leagueoflinux but I never got them to work. I think there was an ubuntu snap package too but I haven't tested it either.
I ended up playing on mobile and if I want to play on a bigger screen I use scrcpy
You can already pre-register for LoR on the Google Play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riotgames.legendsofruneterra&hl=en_US). All of us are working diligently on making this a great mobile experience on as many devices as possible (even older ones). We will support iOS and Android, of course. Hang in there - we got you!
Google opinion rewards, it's an app that give you credits for answering surveys. Look for it into the google store or into this link
I had some bucks there so I used it to buy the Jinx's table and the new minion.
I'm not an expert and I haven't really tried, but from what I've seen, there is no official Linux compatibility. And considering League, one of the biggest game on the planet hasn't one either, it's not very likely to come soon.
That said, I know some people have tried to make it work under some distributions, mostly through Wine. According to this website, quite a few popular distributions can run it with WINE, but I don't know about Proton.
From the threads I've seen on the topic, while maybe is feasible, running LOR on Proton at the very least seems to require some wizard magic, and I don't know just how open a Steam Deck actually is about that. So while you should try to look around for that, it's still going to be dicey anyway. Good luck to you though.
This is LoR Guardian. It is a 3rd-party extension that I downloaded via Overwolf. It is not compatible for mobile, hence I play all of my expeditions on my pc :)
Link: https://www.overwolf.com/app/LEADION-LoR_Guardian
Just a heads-up: because it is not mobile-compatible, this link will not open as intended on the Reddit mobile app either.
Sure, the only thing is that you need a VPN with a Singapore IP address. I don't have any recommendations for a free one, as I use a paid one. https://windscribe.com/ (free tier doesn't have singapore)
On desktop, go to anonymous browser mode, go to google, open a new account. Make sure VPN is on.
On your phone, pull down the top and press the face icon. Create a new user on the phone. Login with your new google account.
Install the VPN app on your phone, connect to singapore
Clear data&cache on play store
Install Runeterra (you're in singapore, you can install it)
Use SAI to "dump" the apks
Here you go (Canadian Amazon, but I'm sure you can find it in your own region)
What seavictory said, link here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.paidtasks&hl=en_GB :)
Personally LoR is a few things for me as a guy who has never touched Hearthstone but loves MTG.
Good stuff:
Economy is great, and definitely hooked me in as getting free cards feels great. Hate packs unless you get them for free like in LoR
Gameplay is actually very complex. MTG has just as much complexity, but a lot of that boils down to understanding specific interactions for the matchup or combat math, and in Bo3 sideboarding. The fact that LoR has spell mana, passing, the attack token and 4 spell speeds is great for interesting games with enough meta diversity and play style diversity.
Cosmetics are actually great, and you can customize your decks a lot (board music being tied in compared to MTGA where the game board and music is randomized is sick)
Used to play league, so enjoying the translation of champs into cards and the world building through followers.
Things that I don't like right now but could change in the future.
No limited format currently. Wasn't a big draft/sealed guy in MTG but can appreciate the skill in limited, low barrier to entry, and work that goes into a good limited format. Sadly Expeditions didnt really scratch that itch for limited fans. Hopefully the next thing they come up with is great and even attracts someone like me to play it.
Bo3 ladder. Specifically, I think alternating between Bo3 sideboard ladder and pick ban can be an extra way to shake things up, although has risks (Which do you balance for?). Another idea is Bo3 with sideboards being the difference between a non-rotating format and a standard rotatingPlay store link: Sync for reddit
format. As long as seasonals matches the ladder format and we still have access to both formats regardless of which is the competitive format for the season I'm a fan.
I bought this twice for NA server, but you cannot redeem in through mobile, must go through desktop app. The value of the card will automatically apply to the corresponding bundle within the LoR store.

God, I love this effort! Recently finished reading Superforecasting and it's cool to see you having this forecasting tournament and applying Brier scores.
I am curious about asking only about playrate though, without any forecasts on winrate? I understand that for rarely-played cards the winrate will be highly variable (noisy) so you wouldn't want to be forecasting winrate as the sole metric - but, I would think forecasting winrate would be very interesting, and by weighting the winrate predictions by playrate (e.g. accurately forecasting the winrate of a 15% playrate card is much more highly weighted than forecasting the winrate of a 0.5% playrate card) you could get very meaningful and interesting statistic. Otherwise, you're kind of confounding "predict power level" with "predict meme factor/fun factor". E.g. if you predict a mono-Shurima type deck is going to suck and so forecast a low playrate, but it actually ends up with a high playrate because it's enjoyably memey, that won't answer the question of "who can better judge the expansion cards' power level?" Whereas a winrate prediction contest could mark who is a better forecaster of power level.
Thanks! It's a Google app you can install on your phone that tracks your location and search history to offer you surveys to do for small amounts of credits. You're basically selling some privacy for money, up to you if you think it's worthwhile. :)
Did you manage to make it work u/SsarpV ?
I installed LoR today and ran into your post while searching for solutions to the error message. It works now on my computer.
So, I'm using Fedora 34, with Gnome40 and Wayland. Computer has a AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U with integrated graphics card. LoR works on this computer, but before trying it here I spent many days failing to make it work on an older laptop I have. Maybe this configuration helps but chances are it will not.
So, I used to "standard" install version (https://lutris.net/games/install/18030/view) on Lutris and then changed some settings. I think the most important change was to set the wine version to lutris-lol-5.0-x86_64
and enabling the Windows (Virtual Desktop)
setting. Most Riot games require a special patch on their wine versions that changes some Registry key that the game looks for.
I'll also attach the Lutris configuration file for that game. It shows all settings I have manually overridden.
game: arch: auto args: --launch-product=bacon --launch-patchline=live exe: /home/user/Games/legends-of-runeterra/drive_c/Riot Games/Riot Client/RiotClientServices.exe prefix: /home/user/Games/legends-of-runeterra system: gamemode: false wine: Desktop: true WineDesktop: 1600x900 dxvk: true esync: false version: lutris-lol-5.0-x86_64
Hope that will make it work for you (and maybe others). If that doesn't work, maybe try out a wine version that works with the latest version of LoL.
I run LoR on linux with wine. In theory you can install wine on mac (e.g. with homebrew casks), but I don't know how easy it is.
But assuming you can install wine on mac, that might not solve all your problems. I actually use a wrapper around wine called lutris, which handles the installation & configuration of specific games. For example, here is its page for LoR, and the lutris script for LoR
https://lutris.net/games/legends-of-runeterra/
https://lutris.net/games/install/18030/view
However, I don't think lutris runs on mac. In theory, anything that lutris does with that script you can do manually and/or with winetricks (also available via homebrew), but it might not be the most fun you've ever had.
But hey, it's super easy on linux!
https://lutris.net/games/legends-of-runeterra/ you mean installer? there are 2 of them, both kinda working but with dc problems. The one i talked about is i believe second one, didn't test it very much though
https://www.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/game-updates/patch-10-25-notes/
Scroll down and you find a "mid-patch update" titled 10.25B so well the mistake I made was saying it was 10.24B but last years 10.25B my bad.
And the Wiki doesnt list any patches after 10.22 for season 10 because everything after that is preseason, which were also currently in.
I tried downloading the game from Lutris.net and it worked at first. I was able to log in and play a match. The cards flickered a bit and it might have been running a little slow, but it was still very playable. I was disconnected during my second match and saw it was still updating. I thought the update might help with the disconnection issue, so I waited for it to finish. But now that the updates are finished, the game is essentially unplayable. I can get into the client, but it's extremely slow. Most of the text in the game is little white blocks where the letters should be.
this one is fine, i've been playin for the past 3 days. when the new patch is live you'll have to uninstall and look for the updated version (it will be on the same link, on the box that says "versions")
Happy grinding!
After reading Evelynns lore bio it leaves it quite open for what she was before the rune wars:
> She began eons ago, as something primordial, shapeless, and barely sentient. This nascent wisp of shadow existed, numb and unroused by any stimulation, for centuries.
And riot called Azakana for:
>“Azakana are sort of parasitic minor demons, as they’re not full demonic entities like Evelynn or Fiddlesticks,” Carnival Knights explains. “They hone in on a single person or spirit’s fear or shortcoming, and just absorb the negative emotions until they kill the host. Then they become a full demon or move onto another host that has a more rich flavor, so to speak.”
>
>Here's the source
I think there could be some merit in the idea that, at least Evelynn could once had been an azakana, but right now that's just a theory, as the concept of demons in runeterra is so broad, it can be creatures that existed since the dawn of the universe, to eons living creatures like Evelynn and Tahm Kench, and in Ionia apparently a demon can also be classified as a spirit who can't let go of the past, and then Azakana is it's whole own classification.
But I can admit when I'm wrong, and I was here, I didn't want spread any misinformations around so it's good you could correct me.

The sheet is a bit hacky under the hood, because I just whipped up something quick for my own use. It probably won't be long before those netdeck-websites release excellent collection trackers.
2 - I recommend installing deck tracker and outplayed from this page https://www.overwolf.com/browse-by-game/Legends-of-Runeterra/ as you can record every match as a video automatically. I've been sometimes analysing my replays to see what I could have improved. Also the deck tracker shows what is in Opponents graveyard so you can see just what has killed your stuff.
4 - You might be looking at spell mana which is the smaller 3 crystals which can be banked from the previous round and can only be used on spells. Could also be that you are responding to a slow or fast spell or fast ability from your opponent in which case only fast or burst spells can be used to respond.
Very nice analytics and also your results are pretty impressive.
Did you try playing expeditions with LoR Guardian? this overlay will help you to maximize your win rates by recommends you which picks you should take.

You can download it from here or from the Overwolf store here
You have done really interesting analyzing there!
I recommending to players that want to maximize their win rates on expeditions to try LoR Guardian application which recommends you which picks you should take.
You can download it from here or from the Overwolf store here
Hey there - this is actually feedback for HearthArena, which I'd be happy to share with the team that built it. Overwolf is a universal API company for apps around games, so if you had issues with one app, HearthArena it seems, it doesn't mean you'd have issues with Mobalytics. It's kind of like blaming google for an app you didn't like form Google Play. Again, we'll convey this feedback to them. Log-in to Overwolf is never mandatory, we never open any links, we don't have a deck tracker, and there's nothing really for gamers to see at our site which is developers focused: https://www.overwolf.com/
You can actually start playing on mobile now. It's been out in Singapore for a few weeks now, and the Android .apk is available in third party app stores like QooApp which is what I used. Or you can make an Apple ID with location set to Singapore to download it on iPhone.
You can install Aurora Store (still need Developer Mode). It's mainly like the Play Store but it will proxy the connection for you, so you can bypass limitations. I used it to install it on the Pixel Slate.
It will also take care of the updating, so it will be a one-click job, as if you had just installed it via Play Store.
PS: screen flickering makes it impossible to play on the Pixel Slate at the moment, but that's a different story :)
There really shouldn't be a difference between the platforms, so you can check the PC version's consumption. Also if you want to know exactly what happens in the background, you can use a free software called Wireshark.
I’ve been using Moonlight on my iPhone (It’s on Android as well) to play Runeterra and other PC games on my phone. It’s super easy to set up, you just need an Nvidia GPU and a decent internet connection.
Yeah! You did just give me an idea how how to save one more character though:
<sprite name=Deep> <#0E9><b>Sea</b><#BA9> Monsters
#0E9
is the closest to the default deck font color, but this format makes it pretty easy to have multiple colors.
Also, this JavaScript code can find the closest three character hex from a six character string!
Hey OP, I'm not privy to this build, so I don't have any deck feedback to pass along.
However, I would like to pass along that there's a LoR Discord for this Reddit, with a section in the Discord dedicated for deck building. You might find more active responses there, as people are very helpful there.
Its probably using someones code without permission as well. There are far more egregious examples with Thanos in the game and crap that have been up forever. Some Chinese developers seem to have immunity in the play store unlike any other.
This one has a million installs and there are others as popular. This is not flying under Googles radar.

Can LoR coins be bought with an Amazon balance?
In particular, would this LoL gift card work in LoR?
> The game is easy to learn and somewhat fun. If you play against the AI, you will easily win every game which gets boring. If you play against other players, you will lose almost every game. Some players put too much time and money (pay to win) into this game. One opponent was able to defeat me by using only spells to destroy my nexus. Why does the game allow that many spells of the same type in the deck? I had no way to stop the spells or heal my nexus. The game should limit the number of spells that directly attack an enemy nexus. Another opponent cast a spell to kill all six of my units, and he attacked and destroyed my nexus which was at 20 health. I didn't have anyone to block after he cast that spell. What am I suppose to do in that situation? The spells ruin the combat and game when you are unable to counter them. The game does not attempt to match you against someone of the same experience or deck power. The people who pay to win or play all of the time will always have a huge advantage over casual players. I played on the normal setting and still get destroyed by players who have insane spells. Skill has not factor in this game. Everything comes down to the luck of the draw for the cards in the hand. However, people who pay to win and are hardcore players will always have a better deck and subsequent better hand. I deleted the game after about 10 days.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riotgames.legendsofruneterra&hl=en_US
That's exactly why this "Editors' Choice" was given. The "Editor" is obviously a pay to win hardcore player that likes to play spells that destroy six enemy units /s
You like Slay the Spire?
check out

Your phone looks pretty good honestly. The only thing I can think of is that the cpu is Mediatek, maybe there's less compabitility?
Try running the game inside vmos, that worked for a bunch of ppl https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vmos.lit
install urban vpn on your phone, connect to singapore
clear cache on play store, then LoR should be downloadable from play store directly

urban vpn is free, but very slow. it might take 20 minutes to download the game
Here is another quick little animation i made, this time about FRELJORD! Hope you like it!
The first one i made: https://www.reddit.com/r/LegendsOfRuneterra/comments/fy0kc9/quick_animation_i_did_on_my_phone/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Because people were asking: I use FlipaClip to create these: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vblast.flipaclip
P.S.: the next one is halfway done.
Download this https://www.transfernow.net/files/?utm_source=AOKy3q042020&utm_medium=&utm_content=nl
Download and install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aefyr.sai
Open the app you installed at step 2. And navigate to your download folder and open the file you downloaded in step 1. Only works on Android and you have to allow SAI to adjust your phone. But it worked for me and I did it an hour ago.
Hello guys
After researching a solution in a post in Portuguese, I leave the solution and some advice:
Uninstall any version they have of LoR
then go to the link that I leave and download a .zip file
https://www.malavida.com/br/soft/legends-of-runeterra/android/download
ONLY DOWNLOAD IT, DON'T DECREASE IT
install Sai APK Installer from the play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aefyr.sai
When they have the application installed, they proceed to install the .zip package ... ask them for permission to install and they give them yes.
after installing they open the game, log in and update and you're ready to play.
in case you get the error 190000
just go to a file explorer and go to the path
/Android/data/com.riotgames.legendsofruneterra/data
and delete their content, reopen the game and ask them to log in again
hope it helps you
I've never used this one and can't vouch for it, but it claims to be 100% free and has a Singapore ip address:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbanvpn.android
Just sign up for the vpn, connect to singapore, then clear the data on play store, open it and you should be able to install Runeterra from play store at that point
The other thing that makes the game crash is if you don't have the drawable resources.
install this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vapps.screeninfo
Then tell me what it says next to "Drawable density"
>come give me a hug (not for real coz corona)
We can still hug bro. Just shower afterwards :P
Anyway, if you like StS, check out {Dungeon Tales](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homecookedgames.dungeontales&hl=en_IN). Very similar (although simplistic in comparison since it is a single dev) but quite fun. You have ads but rarely.
I agree that they should, but if you couldn't install third party software on mobile then Arcane Tracker (for HS) wouldn't exist.
Maybe I can help: I'm developing LoRWiki, the first companion app for LoR. The deck tracker isn't implemented yet, but for now you could use the deck builder and obtain the same result.
Hope you like it!
If I recall correctly, I did the following:
I used ProtonVPN to connect through to Japan server. I created my RIOT account (since we at LoL PH don't use one) and had it set to Japan region. I then downloaded the LOR launcher from their official website and logged in making sure it's set to Japan (current launcher version sets itself automatically). While playing I wondered if I still need to keep connecting through my VPN so to check I tried logging in and playing without the VPN and it worked. Still works fine for me today.
Hope this helps.
How I did it:
You have to create an account, download the client, and log-in all while using the VPN. If you do any of those steps without the VPN, your account gets flagged as from your actual region and you won't be able to log-in. I've been using the free ProtonVPN and its been able to play no problem.
Yes, everyone who pre-registers will definitly receive the poro once the game releases. This is an image from the Google play store page confirming it.
