I got this one from Amazon if you want a thinner sleeve. It works great, I specifically like the ability to prop up the laptop a bit. However the sides are just a little tight, I have to push it in or hold up the sleeve to get it in. Maybe it'll loosen over time.
First things first, get a dbrand skin. They fit perfectly, look and feel great, and protects it from scratches.
I also got the Inateck 13-13.3 Inch Laptop sleeve. The little pouch it comes with is a good size for carrying any dongles and the charger (and not having them just jangling around loose in a backpack).
I have bought quite a few dongle options as I use the MXP as the computer in a dual monitor desktop setup, and I value being able to quickly plug into the setup easily. So below are a couple of things I bought for that.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DLST4V6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This dongle goes with me everywhere. It's nice as it adds three USB 3.0 ports a card reader, and has a passthrough charging USB C port. It works on both USB c ports without issue. There are multiple other versions of this dongle with different port configurations, but this one I found to be the must useful day to day. It's also fairly inexpensive.
For my dual monitor setup I use this USB-C to Dual HDMI dongle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M6C3B39?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share The 2018 MXP is a little wierd as thunderbolt 3 dongles for multiple displays don't work (in my experience). So to use the MXP for multiple-choice displays you need a dock or dongle that uses Display port Alternate Mode. The one below is great as it doesn't matter which port USB C port you plug it into.

Set up a privacy filter using ShutUp10. The settings menu doesn't block all invasive privacy "features". Like you'll notice that if you disabled sending information under settings, you'll actually find under ShutUp10 that there's actually 2 more settings just like it that are still enabled.
Download Ninite.
Download XTU for undervolting.
That's about it. If you need an uninstaller that cleans up residue junk (registries, leftover folders, etc.), I use Iobit Uninstaller. It's free with virtually no limitations, although there is a pro version available.
If you want the best fit, you might want to look at sleeves made for Surface Laptop, they'll fit better because of the 3:2 aspect ratio and have very similar dimensions. If you don't mind the awkward fit from MacBook/general sleeves, you'll have a much easier time finding an attractive bag.
Also, I like this sleeve a lot. Really practical.

edit: updated link, way cheaper on Amazon
Sweet review!

I got my on wednesday. I just had to undervolt (-0.105v) the CPU and everything is just perfect. I have the i5 version. I also got the Amazon Basic Sleeve yesterday (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B013TGFTDY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It fits great.

You just need one with 65W. This is the one I use. Universal 65W USB Type C PD Portable Wall Charger Power Adapter For HP/Acer/LG/Samsung Mate Book/ Lenovo US/Can/Mex Only Used In USB Type C Notebooks/Tablets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D4FN2ZV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_nk.KCb89KA7GR
anything amazon basics are going to be perfect then:
Maybe give this a shot? You can set it to press a specific button every so often. I haven't tried it for my matebook yet but I use it at work to keep a virtual desktop from locking constantly.
I've re-mapped the right CTRL key to Right Windows using SharpKeys. It's a fantastic little utilty that modifies the registry to re-map one key to another. If you don't use the right CTRL all that often, I suggest changing it to the MENU key since it's right in the proper spot.
now i am with Ubuntu 19.10 (since 19.04 also works) and you can enable fractional scaling with a terminal command.
https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2019/06/enable-fractional-scaling-ubuntu-19-04
Ok thanks, too bad. But 4k 60 hz should be possible though, right? Using an adapter for USB-C > HDMI, like this one?
Do you know what the problem could be then? Because it's capped at 120hz and the cable supports 2k @ 144hz The cable: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Compatible-MacBook-Surface/dp/B07RY75V7Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=displayport+auf+usb+c&qid=1611306957&sr=8-6
I run 2 monitors on my 2019 Matebook X Pro. I recommend this dongle, it allows multiple monitors UGREEN HUB USB C para MacBook, 9 En 1USB C Hub Adaptador a HDMI 4K, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA 1080P, 100W Power Delivery, Lector Tarjeta SD TF, 3 Puertos USB 3.0 Compatible con Macbook Pro, Macbook Air 2020 2019 2018, DELL XPS 13 15, Samsung, Huawei: Amazon.com.mx: Electrónicos . Just connect it on the second port, the one near the light on the side it works better since its the thunderbolt 3 port. Also keep the laptop connected while using both monitors since it drains alot of battery
I got the Dell Professional 13 sleeve based on another member's recommendation and really like it:
It's very nice - perfect fit, I like a sleeve with handles and the option of a shoulder strap, and a zipper pocket for accessories. It's nice quality, textured zipped pulls, hidden zipper, good padding. It's got an MSRP of $30, you can get it for $10 now on amazon

Amazon gets stock on the 10th. 15% restocking fee for opened returns though. I had to pay tax for Florida. I was able to get it tax free on Newegg but my credit card marked it as fraud and then it went on backorder. https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-MateBook-Signature-i7-8550U-GeForce/dp/B07CTHN94Z/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=ya_aw_od_pi
That's very similar to the one I just bought off of Amazon yesterday. I'll update you with what I think about it when I get it delivered tomorrow night.

Ordered mine on Amazon Friday week before last on Amazon, arrived last Friday. Expedited shipping - Amazon. Now that I turned off bottom-right-is-a-right-click setting for track pad, i'm pretty happy. They have 3 in stock.
Any 13 inch Macbook laptop sleeve will work. If there is a range, pick the smaller one as this laptop is seriously small. I don't know if Amazon is popular in Europe, but I got this one in the US: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XD93V1T

Again, just go find a 13-in Macbook sleeve and it should fit almost perfectly.
Sorry, just checked my Amazon purchase history and realized it's this one! Not sure if there is a size difference or not.
I ordered this one from Amazon and I love it, it's a hard shell case and I love it.
Still on U.S. Amazon

I just bought this one on Amazon. I’ll update tomorrow and let you know how it works!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BGRDH42/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought this and am really loving it inside a backpack. Good styling, good soft protection. Smooth zippers. Supposed to be water resistant (haven't had the misfortune to test that yet). Great overall sleeve for MBXP.
Also holds stuff like the dongles/charger in the one front zippered pocket.
Ableton user here and I agree, it's crazy that this is a thing. Also just in general a noisy headphone amp sucks, coming from a MacBook Pro with a clean amp.
ASIO4ALL might work, I have it installed but haven't seen if it fixed the issue. Like Speedy said, it makes ableton the only app to play audio through the device, so no switching quickly between apps to listen to something else.
I have this dac and headphone amp. Sounds great and it's small enough to travel with.
In my opinion it's the dual purpose socket that accepts NVMe SSD and SATA III M2 SSD but it only has a problem with the NVMe SSD connector.
It is the NVMe M2 connections on the left corner that do not make proper contact that is the issue. The SATA III M2 pin connectors are very solid on these machines.
M2 SATA III SSD Options are:
WD Blue SA510, WDS200T1R0B or WDS200T2B0B (2TB for $156)
Samsung 860 EVO or the CTSSDMXM29 Crucial MX300 Series 525GB TLC SATA 6Gbps M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) is my recommendation though.
I went with the crucial because it won my testing I personally did on 20 of them before I converted some 200 as I did not want to make another mistake but they are expensive (nearly $296 nowadays).
I got 230 for $155 each but I had to hustle with the crucial guys.
The WD RED ROB above is probably your best bet, a few of my pals went that route on this system and they have no complaints so far. $249 on Amazon at the moment.
2TB storage for less than $300 is very nice to have.
I'm using this hub https://www.amazon.it/dp/B093FKT9BF/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_dl_VCEJTGKW6H13TB7XBK7D_0 with a Matebook 14d intel (model VLT-W50) and as display the Samsung LU28R55.
I can achieve just 4k 30Hz but I don't understand why. Using another monitor allows me to use the type c both for video and charging, the Matebook works perfectly. So I assume that the laptop's type c support charging and 4kvideo simultaneously.
Therefore why this hub, that claims to support both charging and 4k 60hz, is not working? Can someone give me an example of a hub of the "Option 2" mentioned in the post?
If it only happens in the first 5 minutes, it is probably not a heat related issue and thermal paste won't help. You could get a tool like hwinfo and monitor the temperature just to be sure. CPU temps below 90 °C should not cause issues.
The SSD is also a possible candidate others have mentioned, and can be replaced by opening the bottom and carefully pulling it out to the side. You'd need to clone the content of the current SSD to the new one if you want to keep all data and software.
The RAM can't be replaced, so lets hope it isn't that.
Switching to 1504x1000 resolution @100% scaling really speeds things up - even the cursor feels more responsive. As an alternative I am testing out http://www.betterdesktoptool.com/ and it doesn't seem as laggy as the built in windows app switcher.
boot it up then go to settings update & security , recovery, reset this PC
you can say you want to delete everything to every prompt including the one where it wants a fresh windows install since it will still remember your windows key. If you are concerned about your key I used this program to get mine before a clean install
I wasn't able to install Kali with everything I tried. But I manged to Install Parrot (https://www.parrotsec.org) without any problems. I comes with the same Toolkit as Kali but is a bit more of a daily driver.
My score is 4723.7 with 1809. Latest drivers and Huawei firmware. Updated many drivers with Driver Easy.
Turned off Control flow guard (CFG) in Windows Security. Makes animations smooth again (though Windows animations are naturally ugly and clunky so "smooth" is a relative term).
HWiNFO is pretty good:

Run sensors only. You should be able to see if your CPU or GPU is having throttling issues from the Thermal Throttling or Power Limit Exceeded fields.
I'm on my phone rn, so I can only write a very short guide. If you got questions, just ask them.
Get an USB drive and put a copy of Ubuntu on it using Rufus (https://rufus.ie/ use the default settings of Rufus, and click yes in case it needs to download some files).
Then insert that USB into your laptop and boot from it (in the windows recovery environment which will probably pop up after three failed boots in a row you can just select "boot from USB port" or smth like that.
When you are in the boot screen of Ubuntu you can select "try Ubuntu without installing" (or smth similar), select this.
Then you will boot into the live system. Open Firefox and download veracrypt from the official website. Unpack it and open a terminal in that folder. Write into the terminal "sudo chmod +x veracrypt_installation_gui_x64" (I don't remember the full name of the gui installation file, sorry) to make it executable, and then run it with "./veracrypt_installation_gui_x64"
A window will pop up with bad font scaling, just press accept and install it. Then open the freshly installed veracrypt from the start menu and mount your drive. Don't forget to check "use preboot auth"when mounting the driver, otherwise it will fail. After it is mounted you can just navigate to the mounted drive and browse your windows files. Most likely you saved your rescue disk zip file to your documents folder as that is the default path.
Copy that rescue disk file to the USB and then shut down your laptop. Go back to the pc and delete everything from the USB except the veracrypt zip. Then unzip it and put your USB back into the laptop again and boot from the USB again. Select repair bootloader (or similar) and then you can just boot your windows installation again.
This might sound a lot of work, but it takes 15 minutes max if you have a little knowledge about the Linux terminal.
In the US it's a 1 year limited warranty on workmanship and defects. This does not include accidental damage, theft or loss.
In a quick search of the UK warranty policy here - it looks like you get 2 years of limited warranty.
All this is assuming that you buy new from Amazon through an authorized Huawei seller.
On another note.. I'm also considering buying this laptop and I found it today on Rakuten for $1,299 - $170 Huawei rebate & 20% Rakuten points back. That's US pricing but is a steal! See here.
I did not download any antivirus programs - safe browsing habits and an adblocker will work wonders for you. I personally haven't had any issues with viruses on Windows 10 machines (I own about 5 separate machines right now). For those sketchy websites I would definitely recommend installing an adblocker and avoid downloading anything suspicious.
The built-in antivirus of Windows 10 (Windows Defender) has been doing an excellent job these days competing with the name brands so it's less of an issue these days compared to prior versions of windows. For your reference, here's a good article / breakdown of AV programs ranked: https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/
Well, to be fair, it's not a gaming laptop. I would not game on it for long duration.
Unless you do all of brads hacks and find a way to keep temps cool.
Tip: If you have a desktop PC to game on with a nvidia graphics card, you can use Moonlight to stream the game to your laptop. It's really fast and your laptop stay nice and cool, as your desktop is doing all the hard work.
good third party options which are IMHO better are however available:
- for sharing stuff between the phone and other devices in real time and over LAN/WAN you can use syncthing. This software even supports delta sync needed for short sync times with huge file in which only some bits have been changed, e.g. highlighted pdfs.
- for screen sharing and remote controlling the phone there is scrcpy, which works on most Android devices.

I charge mine with a 45W by Ravpower and it works perfectly well. You can't use a 20W charger for a laptop, not sure about 30W but I wouldn't try it. If you does work with a 30W charger it may throttle your computer speed. I have no clue why it works the way it works, but I would make sure your cable supports power delivery charging speeds and get a 45W charger. Something like this one on amazon https://www.amazon.ca/Charger-Anker-PowerPort-Laptops-MacBook/dp/B07PWC32ZD/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=45w+charger+for+laptop+usb+c&qid=1634235078&sr=8-8
The Matebook certainly has this issue but really it plagues all powerful, compact ultrabooks. Brad's Hacks really helps define the issue and show some solutions. But frankly, Brad is a genius. And this is his field. I wouldn't dare try some of the mods he breezes through as if he was making a PB and J sandwich - like rerouting the heat pipes (that he ultimately found did not do much anyways). That said, I am doing fine with my CPU core voltage Throttlestopped down -85 mV and a Kootek Chill Mat 5. I have yet to open the back of my Matebook X Pro for mods or repasting, although I did take a can of compressed air to it.
you should get definitely a portable fan or a colling pad, i use this:
the hot temperatures are normal for the mxp when gaming, considering the bad cooling system and the thin aluminum body
Over time the screws on the bottom of the laptop by the screen become loose. Just tighten those screws and it will be better. If you've lost screws you can get a replacement kit on amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XK456SN
Thank you for the detailed answers. I just checked the price of the WD black and its under 60 bucks for the 250gb version, that's a very pleasant surprise. And I'll take your advice on just repasting both times, the last thing i want o do is to introduce new issues. So just clean the residue with high percentage rubbing alcohol and apply the new paste right? ill probably go with this. And again, thank you very much.
I put mine in a laptop case.

Hello, i had the same problem. The solution is a USB-C hub that supports 4K at 60fps. i use this https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07G2GJFF3. With this i have 4k 60fps 8bpc 4:4:4 pixel format. Also gave me a lot of headaches. Good luck
My usb-c dock's headphone jack works fine, so a usb-c adapter should.
But it would be easier to just buy this instead.
I bought this kit from Amazon. The M2x3 work for the front of the chassis and the M2x8 work for the back.

Thank you. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SSD-970-PRO-512GB/dp/B07C8Y31G2#
Do you think the above will work? Any recommendation for uninstalling old and installing new SSD? i have never done this. Much appreciated!
repasting is easy but requires some patience,
its very simple.
1) remove all screws and the RF shield/hearsink plate.
2) use iso Alcohol or a thermal paste cleaning solution to clean both the die and the heatsink, as far as the heatsink, you will notice that even if it looks clean some darkg ray crap will come out.
3) this is the most important part, before starting all of this go to your local ice cream shop and get one of those plastic ice cream spoons, the ones with the flat top, I dont like wooden ones becuase they absorb oils and can splinter. This is the best tool in existence to apply thermal paste, https://www.amazon.com/Transparent-Mixed-Plastic-Gelato-Spoons/dp/B07BZV55KX/ref=sr_1_79?dchild=1&keywords=ice+cream+spoon&qid=1607434102&sr=8-79
4)use a small dab and then use the ice cream spoon to create a uniform layer on the chip, it shouldn't be so thin that you can see through it but shouldn't be thick enough to squeeze out when you apply back the heat sink and RF shield, the paste is meant to complement the contact, not replace it.
5) This part is very important, Huawei laptops have a 3 screw unit holding the heatsink to the motherboard. as you screw down the screws do not screw them all the way in, put them in until they offer slight resistance and then go to the next one, the idea is to distribute the force of the clamping, using too much force at one point will mean that the heatsink will sit uneven, and too much force on all of them can crack the core.
6) Burn in the paste, the paste needs to get warm to get in to all the cracks and nooks in the copper, use something like Intel CPU burn or intel cpu burn, but remember to use something like HWMonitor to make sure the temperatures are in check so you dont burn your laptop.
To add my experience of this seemingly common error:
I suddenly started to get this error on my 2018 MXP (16/512, LiteOn) a few weeks ago, and with increasing frequency. I also tried updating drivers/bios, repairing windows, but none of it helped.
So I went for the 'nuclear' option - I backed my files up, opened the back of the laptop, redid the thermal paste, and also reseated the SSD while the heatsink was off as others have suggested.
And finally to top it off, I installed Kubuntu, rather than giving Windows another go. (It did feel as if the crashes started with a recent Windows Update, but it's probably just coincidence!)
Anyways, apart from some small initial issues with:
it's been smooth running, the temps are now perfectly fine doing office work all day, and the fan barely comes on. I haven't had crashes of any sort in the last week and a bit.
I found this case on Amazon for the Matebook x pro. I didn't use but I wanted to share my thoughts about it
I think with this case you will protect your laptop and also you won't feel the heat coming out of the device when you use it on your lap. Such a good functionality.
But the aesthetic of the case is not that good. I hope some good company make a case like this with a good aesthetic that match with the build quality of this laptop
I was looking at the Matebook X Pro signature edition which is being sold on amazon by "Coryell Solutions (UK and EU import fees included)" they are selling it for £1479. Still not sure if I'm going to buy it from this seller, for a couple of reasons.
Not sure if I'm allowed to link so please remove if this is wrong. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-MateBook-Signature-i7-8550U-GeForce/dp/B07CTHN94Z/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HAR1HZVC81Q9PRH3Z0MF
The other stores I was looking at are now showing as out of stock for the 16GB model; which gives me less options, as I would rather buy from a brick and mortar store in case something went wrong.
Try a search for pen size vacuum on Amazon. Don't know if it will work, but they are not too expensive. (https://smile.amazon.com/Suction-L611938-Precision-Component-Placement/dp/B07KV17Q61/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=pen+vacuum&qid=1551237915&s=gateway&sr=8-7)
I use only the bottom part of this one from Amazon. I use the part that holds on to the top to tuck it under and give it some rise for cooling effect. I like to lie down with the laptop on my stomach. It has sharp edges! this case helps:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FDXD1J2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'd recommend getting a charger from a well known brand. Anker is regarded as one of the best when it comes to aftermarket chargers. They sell a few 60W chargers (stock is 65W, but the Anker 60W charger I use is practically the same charging time). I'm not sure if these are sold by Amazon MX, might need to purchase from eBay, etc:
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Delivery-Charger-PowerPort-Matebook/dp/B07BQJWDRM/
"Surface laptop/Macs don't have comparable specs for $1100 though. I feel like a i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD for $1100 seems like a great value?"
You're right. That's why I bought one. My point was that the newest model of the matebook x pro costs $1900+, and at the price there's no huge advantage to the matebook vs the competition. But at $1200 it's a screaming deal -- you're getting a laptop that would otherwise cost you $600-700 more.
Here's the ebay link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/OB-Huawei-Matebook-X-Pro-13-9-53010CAJ-Intel-i7-8550U-512GB-SSD-16GB-MX150/264446113021?epid=17029957227&hash=item3d923774fd:g:CNUAAOSwAWtbsrB2
ebay is $1200, amazon is $1170. I figured open box was worth $30, but who knows. Happy shopping!
Was wondering about this, whether 4k@60hz was supported over HDMI... sucks that it apparently isn't. There should be options though, for example:
I believe the main issue is that charging + display port + usb3 isn't possible, but if you can live with just dp+charging (or I believe there's even options for usb2+dp+charging) then it should work.
For me that would be ok, I now have 2 usbc ports. One with usb-dock incl charging and one with usbc-dp cable...

You might find the correct size from the BradsHacks page. I bought this pack (and ended up not using it). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N2XYFJ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Your best bet is a usb to hdmi adapter (not the usbc kind). https://www.amazon.com.mx/Adaptador-m%C3%BAltiples-monitores-compatible-Windows/dp/B0811KJ7C3/ You can find them also with usbc but then you too them being thunderbolt or dp. This way it'll definitely work
It's the same BSOD happened to me on yesterday and the day before yesterday after turning on my MXP 2018, concurrently with the arrival of the North African Anticyclone here in Europe (40° C today).
Chrome was closed and the temperatures of the CPU hit 78-80° C, before the BSOD rebooted my laptop thrice on Tuesday and once on Wednesday.
I just solved it, starting from today, after buying this new kind of cooling pad, which seems to be more effective than the other classical ones I've tried 'til now:

They will be expensive as shit if you buy a hub "Thunderbolt dock" search that on amazon. Yes, I did end up getting it to work!
I ended up getting this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071YTQBXM/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_SnPCEbNXA51K7
Now, I have all 3 of the external monitors as well as my laptop screen all working at the same time. All on extended mode, no mirrors.

This ONLY downside that I have notice with my setup is when I am doing a lot of browser multitasking while trying to watch YoutubeTV at the same time, browsers scrolling becomes noticeably laggy. I ended up getting a Amazon Firestick to solve that issue. I love my setup! Dream come true!
I can't speak to it personally but this is probably your best bet: https://www.amazon.com/CalDigit-TS3-Plus-Thunderbolt-Dock/dp/B07CZPV8DF/
it advertises 2x 4k @ 60Hz, and I know i've seen people talking about driving 1x 1440p@144
This. It's not worth your time and effort repairing a cable when you can just buy one for around $12. Also take care of your cables, take like 10 seconds to wrap it up properly when you store it into your bag or buy two cables + another charger so you avoid coiling and uncoiling the wire frequently. I've had my Matebook X Pro with the original cable and it has no signs of wear. These cable end protectors help a good amount as well.
Got it, I think then I can better get a single cable like this?
Amazon Renewed products are usually in excellent condition: https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-MateBook-Signature-i7-8550U-GeForce/dp/B07FRPL763/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2IVTRMTQWY7C7&keywords=huawei+matebook+xpro&qid=1570368594&sprefix=huawei+mateboo%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-3
i've been using the vault18 from northface.

If you’re trying to use only the Thunderbolt port then I think you need to use a USB C dock and run separate cables from the dock to the monitors.

If you don’t mind using two ports (either USB C + USB in my case), I’ve been using this Targus dock with my 2018 MXP and 32” Samsung Space Monitor. It supports a dual 4K monitor setup @ 60Hz each but I use it to run PBP on the Samsung (i.e. two independent monitors on one screen) connected with a USB C-miniDP from either USB C port and then an HDMI from the dock (which itself connects to MXP via USB 3.0) to the Samsung.
There is a USB C version of the dock (which solves your one port issue) but I couldn’t justify paying nearly twice as much ($211 vs. $115 for the USB 3.0 version I use).

Been using this with my 2018 MXP and 32” Samsung Space Monitor. It’s USB 3.0, not USB C (although it does have a USB C port). There is a USB C option for nearly twice as much but I couldn’t justify the price difference.
I use it to run PBP on the Samsung but it can support a dual 4K monitor setup @ 60Hz each. This + the number/selection of ports for $115 is hard to beat. Highly recommend it.
The Dell 13 inch sleeve fits like a glove. Feels durable and has carry handles. I previously had one without handles and later found I had to put it into a bag. Bag in bag didn't work for me.

I'm using this one. It's pretty tight it. So far so good. I like having the part to cover the laptop from zipper damage.
Check out: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074VFFNCN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_A.AqDbH0D7Y36.
I don't own it, but it is adjustable and I've seen people using it online for various laptops.
Edit: And it is cheaper by a little bit.
I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MDT6G6K/
Works great and no issues so far. Had it since release.
Are you playing on an external monitor? I mean this sucker gets warm AF, but I'm able to play on low - medium (ultra is just non-nonsensical to me) and it's not that terribly hot. Here's what I've done, and maybe this'll help:
• No overclock & no undervolt • Not connected to external monitor (when gaming) • Fresh & clean Windows 10 install (1809) • When designing or running a game, Discord is the ONLY other app running • Cooling pad occasionally if I'm going to be in a long haul session. Here's the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014F4SBMK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I know it's nothing huge in terms of tips/tricks/hacks or anything, but I honestly have been jamming on DbD on the couch while my wife reads nearly every evening for like 1-2hrs just fine. LMK if any of this helps you.
Amazon has a hard shell cover for the MBXP
I know this, i'm considering to buy an usb dock apart from the eGPU, but i was wondering if those kind of eGPUs were a good choice for some light gaming and editing : https://www.amazon.com/Sonnet-Breakaway-Thunderbolt-Expansion-GPU-350W-TB3Z/dp/B072L9QTZT/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_lp_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3E98EYXTZ0RF9XBYYM7D
A GTX 960 would be sufficient for my needs.
I'm using a 13 inch microfiber cloth, which I always have between keyboard and display when I close it. This works perfectly.
This one here should fit perfectly.
this is the best USB-C based product on the market because besides 4K @60Hz it also allows charging, network and USB 2.0 devices.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0746NKVBN/ref=emc_b_5_mob_t
If you need dual 4K @60Hz you can either hook up two of these or buy a far more expensive TB3 dock
I've elaborated all the basics here:

Yes, using this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6C3B39/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Works great with 2 Full HD Monitors.
I have the Dell WD15, and it works great. Two monitors and a phone charger attached. Mouse and keyboard are bluetooth directly to the laptop.
Why do you have the charger plugged into the laptop? Does that dock not charge?
How about a laptop cooling pad? I use one and my keyboard stays pretty cool.
Something like this.

After using the laptop for several months, I don't notice the screen protector anymore. Very clear (not matte), although, under certain lighting conditions, I do notice a blue tint. Not all the time (i.e. I can't see it now but I believe when direct sunlight shines on it at an angle)
in order to drive your 4K display at 60Hz you need a new USB-C dock that supports 4K @60Hz, and as I've written in the original post the Matedock 2 doesn't support that
No worries!
Do it, you won't be disappointed :). Sleeve or case? If you're looking for a sleeve, I recommend this one: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07D6B48LZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sure, here you go: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MK3SLG2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Don't forget that you can also get it from Chinese suppliers, most of them offer i5/256GB/iGPU, i5/256GB/dGPU, i5/512GB/dGPU and i7/512GB/dGPU options, all of which WITHOUT touchscreen. Since I don't ever really use touch on my laptops, I may return this unit and order the i7 option from China for roughly 1050 EUR without. Say I like the laptop a lot, but it has bad light bleeding etc. Depending on your location, you can get shipping options without added customs/duties (prepaid by seller through shipping options such as Priority Shipping). It depends on where you live though, I'd imagine.
Edit: grammar
Having a C to C connector would charge faster if the battery supports The Power Delivery (PD) spec for USB-C. I don't expect that battery is damaging your device, but if you want faster charge speeds I would recommend Anker's Powercore+ PD line of devices.
I have the I have the 20000 PD and it charges decently fast for a battery, topping out at about 26 watts (less than half the speed of the MBXP included 65W charger, many phones top out at 15-18W).
All that said, the battery you're using is probably fine if it's working for you.
If 100Mbit Ethernet is enough for you and 4K @60hz desirable this dock is the best on the market IMO
I have been using this cable for the past 4 months without any issues. It is rated to charge the laptop at the full 60 watts, is white which matches the charger, and is safe for charging up to 100 watts. The extra 4 feet is an extra 66% longer which is a huge convenience.
I’d say the Logitech C920 or the admittedly older creative cam chat 5.2mp is going to be the slimmest more portable
Creative Live! Cam Chat HD, 5.7MP Webcam (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004431UBM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BSQpCb0YBT7WG
Would probably choose the Logitech for best quality and creative cam for best portability
I bought this on black Friday, seems to work fine so far. Doesn't get hot while charging laptop and is small enough that it takes up no space/weight when traveling
Type C Hub,FIRBELY USB C... https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07FVQGHWC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
This is the one I bought to have an extra on hand. It is IF certified.
I got this Dell 13" sleeve and it fits like a glove, has option for a shoulder strap and a small accessory compartment. It's quite beautiful too. Best option I found when shopping for one. LINK ON AMAZON
I bought a Dell adapter (90w), will let you know when I'll receive it
