Wow - thank you for undertaking this labour of love!!! I will be sure to let you know if I spot any other sources in future. As for renaming the files, you probably know about it already but if not RenameMyTVSeries is an excellent time-saver.
You just need an IPTV player. Check the app store. I use one called castify for my android phone.
You just input the IPTV link: NHK World Japan https://nhkwlive-ojp.akamaized.net/hls/live/2003459/nhkwlive-ojp-en/index.m3u8
Sent from my Android with Castify https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.castify

Is this it?
I didn't attempt to playback the video on this site.
FYI click back two or three videos. It landed on South Korea for some reason.
There should be between 90-100 episodes in total currently. There are a lot of duplicates on those two folders. This site has a lot of episode titles:

According to google, the series started in 2014. Just type into the google search bar:
"medical frontiers" episode list
Thanks for the generous contribution!
I definitely will dump it as raw ISO when received. Hopefully the product is legit and contains the coveted lost episodes, I seems to receive no reply from the company about the inquiries but I saw some reviews from last few days that someone from Korea bought stuff and received it so the shop should be legit.
I use an Amazon Fire TV Stick. All you have to do is download the NHK World app and you're good to go.
I don't have this unfortunately, and I don't currently have a Usenet provider. Unless someone else has it, you could try the Usenet.Farm free trial and download the NZB you found using SABnzbd.
Absolutely think Mega is a great choice. I would be happy to pick my way through your collection and merge/diff anything into mine. I've got about 2.5TB right now.
For anyone who wants to download from mega and doesn't want to pay monthly fees, I highly recommend JDownloader2 which will queue up all of the downloads you want, and grab them automatically after mega's timer expires. I usually schedule mine to download multiple files concurrently overnight, and it consistently maxes out my bandwidth @ 30 megs/sec.
This link is here but like I said if you are a stickler for audio and video its really not a great place to watch them. I appreciate the work that was done putting them together but the audio alone sounds like its recorded from a camera, which makes watching it hard for me.
There's a torrent on Nyaa containing all of the available episodes of Begin Japanology. There are 12 early episodes that apparently never got capped, but the rest should be there:
Wow so its not just the operating system but the device itself? I’m so sorry. I enjoy NHK too. Unfortunately i only have the luxury or watching it either through my computer of my PlayStation web browser.
Im not familiar with android tv, but There might be a workaround if you can install apps on the device through amazon. Because they have an NHKWorld app available through them.

Other than that, i apologize that i don’t know what to do besides viewing through a web browser. If android tv has a browser though, you could maybe watch through that?
I do not use the apps on the phone often for VOD but I was under the impression that it was integrated with the news app.
If you tap on the red menu button on the lower right, you will see an 'On Demand' option. Tapping that should bring all the VOD shows.
