Here's the Android version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bamnetworks.mobile.android.ballpark
I'm sure there's an iOS equivalent.
When you buy a ticket, make sure to link it with your MLB.com account.
Log into that account with the app and then two hours before the game, press on upgrade seats.
I was able to upgrade my 22 dollar seat in 315 to the behind home plate seat for only 15 dollars more. Granted... It was a Tuesday night game against the Cincinnati Reds but still!
Drawback: I had to sit a section away from my friend as the app wasn't letting us choose two seats to upgrade at the same time. Cool note though: he got to sit right behind Rea's family and apparently they were ecstatic tonight
On whatever device you want to use (Roku/FireTv/iPad/Android), download NordVPN.
Sign up for a year of it. There should be a free trail though.
Basically what you do is when you want to watch the game, login to NordVPN on whatever device you want to watch, and hit quick connect. It'll most likely choose an Los Angeles area network. Once you are connected, press home or whatever on your device and open the MLB app. Then just go to the Padres game and watch.
Now if you by chance are connected to a SD or visiting teams area network through VPN, and receive the blackout message, just go back to NordVPN app and disconnect and quick connect again. It'll choose a different location most likely not in the same area as your previous connect.
Anyway, try it because it is very easy. Don't be scared! You will figure it out.
ProtonVPN PLUS is impeccable on a Utah Server. for those that have had trouble with blackouts on .tv Jussayin. Nothing illegal, nothing even grey hat. and it's not cheap to pay for both services, but if you live in Riverside it's LITERALLY the only way to see the dads vs. the Dodgers or Angels.
As requested by u/Ragenition, I've compiled the current tPEAV for all 30 MLB teams. Check it out organized by division here. Some interesting tidbits: the Cubs have the highest tPEAV (4.96) followed by the Yankees (4.93) and the Rays (4.87). Padres (4.76) are #10. The Pirates (4.47), Diamondbacks (4.52), and Rangers (4.53) are the three lowest. The Dodgers (4.57) are very low on the list (#26), given the third highest tOPS and the lowest tP/PA. For the cost of two beers at the park I’ll be rocking this Sunday.
For those interested, I sent him a message on FB and will find out if he minds that I share his info publicly or not. I have no idea what type of inventory he has etc, but if he has inventory ready to rock I'm sure he could get a good little boost from our reddit Padre bros.

there was a couple months where we scored a lot of runs but had no pitching. I mean the team set a record for HRs and tied the National league record for consecutive games with a HR.
one year of good offensive production does not make petco suddenly hitter friendly.
Hello! So video editing can be a lot of fun and sort of like anything else, the more you practice, the better you will get. I'm not really sure where to start so I'll just get right into it!
There's several avenues you can go down in terms of your editing software. Adobe Premiere is sort of the industry standard or one of the more prolific ones but that comes with a couple drawbacks. One being price and another being the price model (subscription based). Adobe has decided to make all of their programs a subscription, cloud based service but you can use all of them for free for a limited time as a trial if you would like.
I'd personally recommend trying DaVinci Resolve. DaVinci is an extremely powerful platform and you can Download the free version here. It's an extremely powerful and professional editing software and you get a lot with the free version. Also, you get the program almost in it's entirety without having to worry about cloud services or subscription fees. More than enough if you're just starting out. This will help you get started with learning how to use the basic functions of the program and should help you sort of get on your feet.
In terms of acquiring your media and assets, there's way too many avenues to name here. A quick google search should point you in the right direction. Video editing can be a lot of fun and become addicting the more you do it. Imitation is the highest form of flattery so there's no shame in trying to replicate the styles and transitions you find in other videos. Try and study them. Note when a transition is made and how it coincides with a song or any audio. Note HOW a transition is made and how often. These are all things that you develop with time. Hope this helps! Good luck and have fun :)
Sorry this one's so late today! My cat took a nap on my lap for like an hour and obviously that takes priority over everything. I'm just about to crack open a beer, so cheers to the sweep!
Edit: cat tax
Maybe, I’m not sure that isn’t an artifact of the camera angle. I took a screenshot the second it appears to disappear to me and I pumped up the contrast and the saturation and circled where the ball should be based on the entry and exit angles of the frames before and after and I still can’t make it out. https://imgpile.com/images/uJJsLw.jpg
At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter. I just didn’t want you to think I was ignoring you to push a narrative or whatever.
https://support.unlocator.com/customer/portal/articles/1382539-how-to-setup-xbox-one
I put in the stuff for the DNS settings and I guess it just works? I might have done the free trial thing but I'm not being charged for it, I've checked many times.
I picked one up at this price, comes with the certification card and everything.
Well i tried it just last year, but it worked great. I downloaded Mlb tv on the fire stick like you mentioned, and signed up for ExpressVPN which i was paying monthly ($12.95; might do the semi annual at $9.99/month this season). Then i just downloaded ExpressVPN on the firestick, logged in, and changed the location to Toronto lol. I believe they have a 30 day money back guarantee, so you can test it out with nothing to lose.
Oof sorry to hear. I’m using NordVPN and MLBTV and it’s worked fine so far. You could always try to use the VPN on a phone/laptop and stream through there? Idk I don’t have it installed through my router
Most good ones, yea. I use PIA (Private Internet Access). It's like 40 bucks a year and can be used on several devices.
I just figured out how to setup my home router to send all my traffic over the PIA VPN. Now I can stream mlb tv to my PS4 and Chromecast safely.
These work pretty good if you’re 1/8 or so away...

For those that don't want to use a VPN for whatever reasons, you can also use a DNS service to get around it. No data tunneling or any of that. I used Unlocator, FireTV Stick, Roku, and my Windows PC.
I use with a DNS proxy and VPN (VPN for computer, DNS for AppleTV/Roku/TV etc). It's pretty great.
I personally use Unblock-US ($5/mo or $50/year) and FrootVPN ($5/mo or $35/year).
Just something to note is that it probably won't work on your mobile device as the MLB app uses your GPS location, not your IP to determine your location.
Luckily I am in San Diego so it looks like I'm buying one of those sweet portable radios lol 20 bucks for the app and a single season....or 26 bucks for the rest of my life?
Alright, permission was granted to post the FB marketplace link so here it is: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/994721274364258
He has a variety of other cool stuff available too, I would have picked up more but need to take it easy on the $$ spending right now lol.
Prime next day. would love to see gallagher square full of them
I use Unlocator DNS. Only had issues with it maybe once or twice last year. This year I've had quite a few issues with it but think it was because I would sometime watch games without it if they weren't blacked out. Now that I use it no matter what game I'm watching, haven't really had any issues
I've been having the hardest time with on my Firesticks and/or ShieldTV, with ExpressVPN. All the old tricks just aren't working anymore. Anybody have any tips?
Fortunately I can still watch on my laptop but the TV is more enjoyable.
Rawlings has an "official" one: https://www.amazon.com/Rawlings-Authentic-Baseball-Helmet-Padres/dp/B08M6JYFGT/
Although, "legit" ones nowadays are raised/3D. Don't know where you can source those.
Yeah and the way baseball is played now, that record might stand for many years. Hopefully Joe can break it, but I haven’t looked at the numbers. In the next 5 years he could get 60-75 wins.
The book (Tails of the SD Padres) by Campbell is a fun read for a Pads fan, especially older one’s who remember guys like Show, Drabeky, Goose and jones.
But to your point, we’re at the bottom of MLB in terms of having all time greats, that’s why Mr Padre is so important to our culture, or fan base, or what have you. We’re still building after many years being down. Dodgers had a similar franchise start. No titles for ~60 years, and known as “Dem Bums” because they were so bad so often, with just a handful of “good years”. We had 1984, 1998, a few very good teams in 92 & 96 and a couple of 1 and done early 2000s, and 2020.
It’s a bit sad/pathetic that Garvey is in the Pads Team HoF. He sparked us in the ‘84 playoff run, sure, but those last 5 years here don’t amount to much. He’s not even in the Dodger Team HoF, and he was RoY, won 2 WS titles with them! But, such ~~is~~ was life on the bottom.
LFGSD!!
Most streaming devices also allow you to install VPN apps and do it that way, so you don't have to bother with the router.
I have a fire stick with the NordVPN app and there are no issues. Pretty sure you can do the same thing with AppleTv.
I know a lot of people have already replied, but going with that mlbtv deal and using a VPN really is your best bet. A VPN is not expensive (I use CyberGhost) and just in generally is a good thing to have, especially if you connect your phone/laptop to public wifi anywhere
Paying Cox Cable for Internet, paying for , and still getting blacked out locally for an event at a Stadium we payed for. Should be illegal. 100%. Absolutely dumb because you can pay Cox Cable (same company) for TV and be allowed to watch locally.
NordVPN works fine. I use it. You have to have location services on. If you get an error
1: Clear browser cache or MLB app cache and data 2: Pick a different connection on Nord (just quick connect again)
On computer I have seen more issues. On phone, tablet, Amazon Fire TV, works good most of the time.
Nope. I have not paid for MLBTV for 3 straight years. A good VPN service like Private Internet Access or Wevpn. Costs around $3 to $5 a month. I've never had a problem getting around local tv blackouts. If a game a nationally televised on FS1, Appletv, ESPN or whatever then yes the game won't be available on MLBTV. But yeah keeping paying for a overpriced crap streaming service like this.
Honestly I use NordVPN and it never worked for me on my phone. I think phone app tends to use location services on mobile over IP address, which is what VPN’s solve. A different VPN wouldnt solve that issue unfortunately
ExpressVPN and NordVPN are the two I see a lot.
You can use it on xbox, but there’s no dedicated app for a VPN so you’d have to install it on your router. If you don’t wanna do that, there’s a dedicated NordVPN app on a fire stick, as well as the app. I think those are like 20 bucks, so your cost would be that plus a VPN.

Yeah I can do it with my Nvidia Shield TV, which is Android, with the ExpressVPN app. Can’t do it on native Samsung, and I’m not about to start fucking around with the router to get AppleTV to work.
Could also AirPlay from my laptop, but that quality kinda sucks.
NordVPN has a three month trial. Then you can just pay monthly to cover the rest of the season.
You're not going to find a fast, reliable, indefinitely-free VPN. I've tried a couple of them. At some point it's better off to just pay for one during the season. It's cheaper than cable.
Nah I got it on Amazon it’s super nice tbh!

Yeah the shoes you need to get from a nike dealer that has them in stock. The shoe laces are from amazon.

Not the same but only beanie I could find for Padres was on amazon.
Amazon, honestly kicking myself for not getting the one with the swinging friar on it.
VPN Review. I found this video while researching the same thing a few days ago. I am presently using VyprVPN based on the review. If you follow the link from the YouTube video you will have a discount applied. I paid $60 for 3 years of service. Nord was also highly recommended. If you end up getting VyprVPN you will need to use Chameleon mode in the settings in order to mask your location. Another thing I discovered was that on Android, I had to log onto my MLB app after starting the VPN app on my phone. If you start the MLB app first, it will log your location and give you the blackout restriction message. If this happens, completely close the MLB app, start your VPN, and you will be good to go. I was getting frustrated when initially playing around with this so hopefully this saves you some trouble. Good luck friend!
I would choose USA, it defaults to LA I believe.
On Fire TV, you just download NordVPN. Download MLB app. Login to NordVPN, connect the VPN. Then press the home button. Login to MLB app, watch.
I have the MLB all teams subscription. So not sure if just having one team vs all team makes a difference. And of course I subscribed to NordVPN
Just did NordVPN today for use with a Firestick. Pretty easy to set up. Cost about $90 for 2 years with 5 or 6 devices. I've noticed a bit of a lag but barely and I plan on just using it during the games.
That’s what the VPN service/app is for. There are many out there but a few Ive used that are good are SurfShark and ExpressVPN. You enable the vpn, pick the location you want, then launch app. Boom, it thinks you are elsewhere and you get Padre baseball locally.
MLB Network is on Youtube TV. I'm good with Youtube TV for $64 a month. Free because I am a season ticket holder and will give my T-Mobile promo code to a friend to use. I use Torguard VPN which costs $29 for the whole year so it's less than $3 a month. I also have access to another friends Directv account and can watch Padre games on the Fox Sports Go app.
I use Private Internet Access or PIA. Home address doesn't matter. Is MLB going to fact check you if you tell them you're traveling? All MLB tv cares about is that you pay your subscription and your IP isn't in the blackout area. Cost is less than 4 bucks a month.
Look up sports memorabilia stores in your area and call and ask if they have frames for jerseys
If you wanna do it yourself there’s one on amazon for $60
I use ExpressVPN for . iirc, it’s a little over $100 a year. You can pay for 6 months at $60 though. I have it set up on my router though. You can use it just on your computer too but I use the mlb app on the Apple TV and the only way to change your location with that is via the router iirc.
I didn’t like mirroring my computer to the Apple TV because it would become chopping at certain points. But if you can use an hdmi, that would work too. I just like to have my computer with me during games to look up this subreddit or stats or whatever.
To answer for myself, i've used PureVPN which i've got a lifetime subscription to. I pick a location outside of socal and then i can stream the games. That seems to work better from a computer than a phone... i think mlb app polls your gps. Edit: tmobile free is what i've used for several years, just purevpn for to get around blackout restriction... which has to be the dumbest thing ever right now.
D2 SID here, have previously been the baseball contact, which included doing the official scoring. Happy to answer any questions as well.
As for a good book, this is a good one. Plus the author has his own scorebook that he sells which I highly recommend.
When I had I always used UnoTelly. Easier than VPN. You basically just change your DNS servers to theirs and done. Direct connection to the video streams so you still get HD, it just fakes the location check.
I recently signed up with to get around blackouts in San Diego. Fox Sports San Diego didn't make a deal with Time Warner so I can't even watch the games on TV. I used to use a proxy for , but this is a lot easier than using a VPN or proxy. Basically just change your DNS servers to theirs and it does some reverse proxy magic on the location check. You still retain a direct connection to the stream meaning you will get HD.
The Baseball Codes: Beanballs, Sign-Stealing, and Bench-Clearing Brawls: The Unwritten Rules of America's Pastime by Jason Turbow. My searches on eBay were fruitless, but Amazon had some interesting flasks...sunscreen bottles, a digital camera, a woman's fashion scarf...and tampons
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No, it's not allowed. I've used a plastic flask. They are usually a little larger than a metal flask, but still easily hid.
