Hell, Steam has been doing it for years.
One thing that would definitely sell me over piracy is same day captions. I have some hearing loss and I have to either turn the TV up loud enough to wake up the kid, miss half the conversations, or wait 2-3 days for proper captions to be released for the particular rip I got.
They finally managed to successfully region-lock the BBC iPlayer on my smart tv even beyond what UnoTelly and UnblockUS could fix, so it's really difficult for me to watch Doctor Who on the same day now. (The new accent and broody mumbling isn't helping)
ugh, I know
"The WWE Network is now in Canada!
^Contact ^your ^local ^service ^provider! ^^^if ^^^its ^^^EastLink ^^^or ^^^Rogers."
I wish I didn't have to go through loopholes like UnoTelly to use the Network.
I use UnoTelly, grandfathered in at $3/month for DNS level routing of services like Netflix, hulu, BBC, NBC, etc.. Also comes with VPN to access those services on my phone.
Works great!
Netflix is $9 after that, so $12/month. Wouldn't even consider foxtel as an option at this point as I can't stand commercials.
You need to trick the site into thinking you're in the UK though.
I am in Canada and used UnoTelly (you can sign up for a free trial w/ just an email address), set up the DNS as per the instructions and voila, the BBC feeds work. In HD too.
I love how they have past days all recorded and you can watch at your leisure.
Hi, I don't know if perhaps Netflix are only forcing it on certain users right now or testing it but I have confirmation from UnoTelly and Unblock-Us themselves.
See: here.
The only one that's greedy here is the NFL. I'll have you know that we did not want to be written about or talked about as much as we were. We never spent a single cent on advertising neither did we encourage people to promote us by giving away 6 months of free service like UnoTelly is.. Also, I specifically told the reporter from businessweek that writing about it would be a bad idea, he insisted on doing it with or without an interview...
Well, if you have a streaming device, you can use a site like TrickByte or UnoTellyto alter your DNS settings and getbaround the region locking.
Even if you’re not too tech savvy it’s way easier than it sounds. They have walkthroughs on how to set it up whatever the device is.. I use my PS4. They all have free trials.
Then you download the app and off you go.. inuse my family’s Sky and BBC iPlayer log in, so access to live tv and streaming..
So, don't use UnoTelly?
I've never understood why people use paypal unless it's a private transaction and the selling party does not have a legitimate merchant account. It's always felt shady, like businesses that don't accept credit cards.
I'll have you know that we did not want to be written about or talked about as much as we were. We never spent a single cent on advertising, we also do not encourage people to promote us by giving away 6 months of free service like UnoTelly is.. Also, I specifically told the reporter from bloomberg that writing about it would be a bad idea, he insisted on doing it with or without an interview...
It's only really helpful if you're living in a country where services like Netflix aren't available, by changing the DNS and replacing it with a service like UnoTelly's DNS, it makes Netflix think you're in the States.
I got the Network a week ago and I live in Toronto. Just used a fake USA address, paid with paypal, and then I used UnoTelly's freebie this week to view the PPV live stream.
Also at times I can see it even on my iPad (live streams and Beyond the Ring mostly).
Not saying you should, just saying it is possible until it gets in Canada officially
Or, if you don't use NetFlix through a browser, you can sign up to a DNS service like UnoTelly or UnBlockus which provide this simple functionality for a small charge ($5 a month). Living in Switzerland this is an excellent service.
Yes. Yes you are. Rogers screwed you. Screw them back. Fellow Canadian here. Go with Unblock-Us or UnoTelly (the one I'm with) and pay per month for a US DNS to use. From there just make a US account for the network and use paypal to pay them.
Fuck Sunday ticket anyways.
The best way to do this is to make a small investment in a SmartDNS service. I like UnoTelly because their support is impeccable. Unlocator is another one that is pretty popular.
Once you have that, you can get the international version of NFL Game Pass, which allows live access to all preseason, regular season, and playoff games, the ability to re-watch old games, as well as NFL Network live and on demand programming. It's so much better than the US version of Game Pass that it's unfair. The CEO of DirecTV and the bitches who made the NFL/cable/DirecTV deals should be hanged by the neck until dead for this bullshit.
Every season I spend about $200 on these two products combined so that I can pretend to be a Dutch subscriber of NFL Game Pass, but I never miss a minute of a game, and it's great in the off-season when I'm jonesing for football. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.
For cricket I use
For rugby the sidebar of /r/rugbyunion
I am thinking of using the Top15 pass now to satisfy my rugby.
EPL - Premier league pass if you like the round ball....
EDIT: I have watched the Six Nations on BBC iPlayer via UnoTelly though there is some talk thr Six Nations won't be free to air in the future.
UFC - I see Unotelly can give you a path into watching it.
I'm Australian (Optus Cable and UnoTelly) and US Netflix caps out at the max of 3000kbps within 2 min of starting the test video
That dude might know his Shakespeare, but he really needs to work on his Moonwalk.
I will try it on my Apple TV later and see if it will do Super HD
What exactly is your complaint? You paid for a year in advance. In exchange for a discount, you take the risk that the services that UnoTelly can provide may change over the year. There was no guarantee that those services would continue unchanged, because it's not possible for UnoTelly to provide such a guarantee. That's business. If you didn't know the risks, you should have educated yourself better about them before paying for a year in advance.
UnoTelly is making best efforts to continue their Netflix unblocking service, with mixed success. They can't advertise it publicly because of the separate payments issue they are having with credit cards and Paypal.
Every other DNS service is in exactly the same position. That's why they've all removed the advertising from their web sites.
> It is unclear why unblockers continue to work on some platforms and not others, but it seems as though Netflix apps that weren’t recently updated still work.
Because the new updates have hard-coded Google's DNS into the applications, you muppets.
This is something the MBB "tech journalists" could glean with the slightest iota of research.
If you happen to be technically-minded, you can bypass this issue by setting up destination-based redirects on your router (DD-WRT/iptables/etc.), by basically redirecting 8.8.8.8 to UnoTelly/Unlocator's DNS.
UnoTelly has removed pretty much everything on their Dynamo page on their website and removed commenting from their Facebook page.
apparently, UnoTelly CEO Nick Lin recently deleted his LinkedIn account
Yea, you can. Just set up in your router. But Smart DNS uses your current IP, so everytime you connect to a different VPN server, you have to update the IP in the provider's website. Most providers support Dynamic DNS (No-ip, etc), bookmark button (click and instantly update IP) and some even support updating from a mobile app (Getflix, UnoTelly).
Alternatively you can set up iptables if you know how. I use DD-WRT on my router and it's incredible simple with just 2 lines I have Chromecast using my UnoTelly DNS servers.
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -d 8.8.4.4 -p udp --dport 53 -j DNAT --to iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -d 8.8.8.8 -p udp --dport 53 -j DNAT --to
Just replace the XX's at the end to your DNS servers. Done.
There are no paid alternatives that I am aware of, Sky have the monopoly, just like they do with broadcast TV. You can try your luck at finding streams, for rugby you might find one posted in the match thread on /r/rugbyunion , same goes for /r/nba for NBA games. Sometimes the streams are better, sometimes they are worse.
For the RWC, ITV have the rights in the UK, which will be free to air. So I would suggest trying to find ITV streams come RWC time, unless you have Sky broadcast, or using a service like UnoTelly to get around geo-restrictions (if they're still working come October).
If you're running your own server, you don't necessarily need to run a full scale VPN on it. You can run it as a DNS redirecting thingy like UnoTelly. I think that's what this guy is doing:
No, not at all. Go into your existing router and just add two static routes:
8.8.8.8 to your primary DNS provider 8.8.4.4 to your secondary DNS provider
This redirects requests to Google DNS away to your own provider (UnoTelly, Unblock Us and the like).
Step one: Get a VPN or DNS provider. I use UnoTelly, it's like $8 a month,
Step two: Follow the VPN/DNS provider's steps to enable it on your chosen device.
Step three: Sign up for the WWE Network. They don't care where your money comes from, just where you say you're located. Make a fake US address, use Choose the settings and use that address as your location. Use your real address as your billing address though, otherwise your credit card could possibly be declined.
This should get you on your way.
I think the NFL might have gotten wise on several fronts... this might not be an easy fix. Hope I'm wrong, but I believe they might have ended the Netherlands "Free Viewing" as a result of the BusinessWeek article on AFT the other day. I also have a subscription to UnoTelly, and it is being blocked from GamePass as well.
I figured when I saw that article, and the quote from the NFL it was going to soon mean the end of our free viewing..
Edit: for those who missed it, here is the article:
PayPal is cutting off all the SmartDNS providers because apparently providing "services that enable open and unrestricted Internet access" is against their TOS. I got a similar email from UnoTelly on February 3.
Yeah I'm not expecting UnoTelly to take this lying down, they have some very smart geeks over there and their entire business model depends on it working for Netflix, so should be an interesting battle.
If you're a cord cutter you can still watched the blacked out fights on UFC Fight Pass with UnoTelly, Unblock-Us, Unlocator, etc. This explains it a bit for those who don't know:
I have a whitelist on my router set up so that only certain DNS requests get sent to UnoTelly. There is indeed a risk of MitM attacks when using any DNS service you don't have in your control.
The whitelist was on some website, but I can't find it at the moment. If there's extra interest I can always do some more Googling.
and DNS Service like UnoTelly will get you every single game all the way through the World Series. It is different than a VPN in that it doesn't effect your speed it only changes your location. I've used a DNS service for the past 2 seasons and haven't had a problem.
UnoTelly appears to cost money outside of a 8 day trial. Why would I pay for both the network AND a VPN service?
As I said, I want the network, just not badly enough to warrant binding myself for the next 6 months on a fake address and being forced to use a VPN.
I don't see what's wrong with that.
It is and Mediahint allows somebody who is a Netflix subscriber to access the full US Netflix library from outside the US. Since the US Netflix library is many times larger than most other countries. Fro example I think I read somewhere that in Canada you have access to 1,400 title while in the US you have access to +14,000 titles. BIG difference.
There are programs like UnBlock-Us and UnoTelly who are a paid service which relocates your DNS to the US so Netflix thinks you're based in the US and therefore are eligible to view the US content.
Leafs games air on HNIC and usually once a week on TSN. With the potential of a Leafs post season (fingers crossed), CBC will likely air all Leafs game.
During the regular season, Leafs games aired on Sportsnet-O and LeafsTV are not broadcast on cable. But if you have Gamecenter and a DNS routing service like UnoTelly, you can watch every Leafs game.
Hope this helps. Go Leafs Go.
Yes there is, but not ‘legally’ (arguably it is for me bc I use my family’s logins/accounts)
I use my PS4, but it’s possible with other devices.
You need to sign up with a site like Trickbyte or UnoTelly (Trickbyte is better, UnoTelly gives you a very long free trial).
Both explain how to configure your device and give the dns settings, and how to find the apps.
I get BBC, Sky, NowTV and the C4 app (so all the live and catch up) and it’s a lifesaver.
It's possible that he had a leak, however some VPNs will sell you out.
Here's an incomplete list of providers who will likely send you copyright reports:
I've used a few. Whenever I recommend, I get nervous as I'm sure someone else has found a cheaper/better option, perhaps. That, and I don't want to seem like a shill.
In the past, I used UnoTelly, but I found some things gave me issues later on (payment process, netflix stuff, e.t.c)
I am currently using "Unlocator," which has worked flawlessly for me this year.
As others have said, Hola is terrible. I use UnoTelly and had a problem once when the Netflix front page said "we believe you're trying to access a library outside of your current location" or words to that effect. Shut down Netflix, opened it back up again and never had another problem.
I don't know about other providers, but UnoTelly has an app that lets me change the Netflix library to whatever country I want from my phone. Paired with which tells you which country's library a movie or tv show is in, makes it all pretty simple.
Huh, I usually get emails back within 2 days and they always reply with a new test server to try out. They currently have 6 test servers that are being used to circumvent Netflix's attempts at blocking them, and the current workaround sevrer has been working flawlessly for me for the last month.
UnoTelly has stopped working for me a total of three times, and each time it's back within days if not hours.
Finally got kicked off US Netflix, have been expecting this for a while. I was using UnoTelly, if anyone else is having success with another service (paid is fine!) please let me know. I'm up to season 7 of X-Files.
>UnoTelly and Unblock-Us have made significant changes to their websites after PayPal blocked the services from receiving payments through its platform.
>The two services previously advertised the ability to offer their subscribers Netflix content from around the world. Now, their websites make no mention of Netflix.
>Instead, they focus on offering privacy and the ability to defeat censorship.
>“UnoTelly should only be used for privacy protection purposes. Any other usage is not permitted,” UnoTelly states.
This story originated last week with TorrentFreak:
So far only UnoTelly seems to be affected (UPDATE: unblock-us is definitely being hit now too). It's not known what triggered this incident or whether Paypal has broader plans. Some other VPN/DNS services have commented off-the-record that they were temporarily suspended by Paypal in the past, possibly due to a complaint made against them, but appealed and were able to get the suspension removed (even though the Paypal letter says "no appeal").
But it might well be a good idea for everyone to put a bit more support behind Bitcoin to put a stop to this kind of thing.
Because it hasn't happened yet. It banned payments from one entity, UnoTelly. There's no evidence of a systemic issue yet. The TorrentFreak article is trying to induce panic before there's any reason to panic.
If all you want is Netflix, VPNs are overkill.
There are loads of different options for DNS-based solutions.
UnoTelly's UnoDNS is popular, albeit relatively expensive. Overplay is another option, but again, it's expensive month-by-month.
I use AdFreeTime, it's cheap and it works well.
Their customer communication isn't spectacular. (They recently temporarily removed Bitcoin as a payment option, without mentioning it to anybody.) There is a dedicated [subreddit](/r/adfreetime) though.
But at $2 a month, it's dirt cheap.
You can use it normally, by entering it on the DNS settings of whatever device. You can also grab a cheap-ass router from Ebuyer and flash it with OpenWRT or whatever, then use that with AFT, giving you another Wifi network that takes you to a different Netflix region.
But as always: DON'T USE HOLA!
No a South African NBA League pass subscription is $114. UnoTelly is a separate service, and while it says you can try it 8 days for free, the actual cost is unclear.
Edit: Looks like it's 3-5 dollars a month, depending on if you want a VPN along with the DNS service.
Umm, as far as I know, using a VPN or UnoTelly to access Netflix in SA is not legal by any stretch of imagination.
I'm no expert on the matter and last did research into this some years ago. Does your method involve any other steps apart from a VPN service to fool Netflix into thinking you have an American IP and to hide the stream from our authorities?
Edit: Its an older article, but it checks out..
Hey thanks. I actually got it setup yesterday just fine. I ended up using UnoTelly because it just changes your DNS for specific traffic rather than routing all data through a VPN. That way I'm not relying on a VPNs connection speed. I was also able to switch my location to Brazil which with the current exchange rate, got me the whole "Season Plus" package for about $170! It's working great so far.
Separate subscriptions combined with a VPN or DNS service if necessary will get you all of your games.
with VPN or DNS
Ballstreams will get you all NBA games plus NCAA tourney
NBA League Pass with VPN or DNS
NFL Gamepass (overseas) with VPN or DNS
NFL2Go (I haven't used it, but it is the same concept as Ballstreams)
NHL Game Center with VPN or DNS
HockeyStreams
(each of these will give you all the games in their sports)
Other than NFL2Go you can get all of these on Roku. Since you are wanting to use Roku I would go with a DNS service like UnoTelly, Un-Block US, or AdFreeTime since you can set them up on your router. Instructions on set up is on their websites.
NHL Game Center using a DNS service like UnoTelly for blacked out games or you can use HockeyStreams for every single game through the playoffs. HockeyStreams is not what you call legal, but it has been going strong for it's 3rd season, I believe, and hasn't had any problems. I use BallStreams which is the Basketball version of HockeyStreams and can vouch for it's quality.
There are several DNS-based region un-blockers out there, with a monthly subscription fee.
Basically you change your router's DNS settings to use the ones you get from the unblocking service, and then you can choose which country to watch Netflix "from".
Personally I use "UnoTelly", which even lets you change Netflix countries on the fly, with an Android app or through the website.
If you're just using VPN to bypass websites to watch like BBC, Hulu or Netflix, it's better just to have a DNS Proxy like MediaHint, Unblock Us or UnoTelly.
They're more cheaper per month and faster compared to VPN.
I have a FireTV with Kodi installed on it with a Zattoo TV add-on. I use UnoTelly to access geoblocked material. Although when you set up UnoTelly you need to have you viewing from Germany instead of Switzerland. You can check out Zattoo in browser first, it you still need to have a DNS service like UnoTelly first.
Article fails completely to show UnblockUs and UnoTelly (the latter being my choice as you can get up to six months free). A VPN is going to route the video via their servers first meaning you're stuck with whatever bandwidth they have. The two I've mentioned are DNS solutions that use your bandwidth only.
Having used a VPN recently for another video service, I'd highly NOT recommend it from my personal experience.
You'll have to install the Canary dev version to sideload non-Chrome Web Store extensions.
I've already exchanged emails with the developer of ProxMate and he hopes to have a new version available in the Web Store but concedes he will not be able to keep the same level of functionality because of Chrome Web Store's draconian, apple-esque, walled garden policies.
Try something like UnoTelly. I use it for accessing US Netflix. You can set it up locally or on your router.
Hi there, fellow aussie. I have a subscription to UnoTelly to access Hulu and Netflix. My internet max speed is 8 megabits per second (TPG ADSL2) and I can stream HD perfectly. I'm the only one in the household using it, maybe that helps.
So can someone tell me what Turboflix requires you to do that makes it illegal? It mentions that it 'downloads the content illegally'. If it is just a DNS redirector then it does not. I'm assuming it therefore does more than UnoTelly or Unblock-Us.
There may be an obvious reason... but why don't you just use a DNS redirection service such as UnoTelly or Unblock US which would allow you to cast the Netflix content you want regardless of area straight to the TV?
I use UnoTelly. You can grab a free trial to cover WM30 & then, when your free trial period ends, they have a really awesome "freemium" subscription that gives you 30 days free access for spreading the word via social media and you can do this for up to 6mths IIRC. Top notch service too, works like an absolute dream & all you have to do is change your DNS settings. Using UnoTelly lets me watch on my iPad too :-)
No, but you can always get a browser add-on such as Hola Unblocker to change your Netflix region to the UK, which has both Hobbit movies. Alternatively, you can sign up to a service like UnoTelly, Unblock-US, AdFreeTime, etc. and use their DNS codes on a device such as a tablet, Blu-ray player or games console. Give it a go! It's not as complex as it sounds.
I am currently using gamepass as my primary source of NFL. It has been great so far I have been able to watch Live and Archived shows on NFL Network , Archived games and Redzone will be good to go on sunday . Best part of it all no black outs to be seen when live games are being played.
I am also using unotelly dot com DNS thingie so It believes I am not in North America thus eliminating blackouts .
It cost me 180 bucks for the whole setup . 140 for Gamepass and 40 for a year worth of UnoTelly .
You can't call it illegal to use such a tool to watch Netflix. Content restrictions can be implemented in other ways. The methods they're using are weak and open to going wrong. I've spoken to Netflix support on two occasions with my UK account - both occasions they mentioned I was watching US content despite the fact my IP for the support session was in the UK. The first time they congratulated me, the second I advised I was using UnoTelly and the conversation continued with no bother.
Illegal? Unlikely though naturally it depends on your country.
I have been using UnoDNS by UnoTelly ($47/year), which basically acts like proxy. All you need is to change your DNS settings in your router, and all those TV channels and video services will resolve to the new servers for your devices automatically. I have tried Amazon Videos, Vudu, and Pandora. They all work OK. They used to offer a free plan that will only work for Amazon Video and couple of TV channels, not sure if it's still offered. Edit: Just to clarify, it's not a proxy server for everything, only for the selected media servers.
You can use a proxy server to access Netflix from Australia. I have my own server that I use, but there's services like UnoTelly or UnblockUS that are pretty good. I've tried UnoTelly before and was pretty happy with it. I use the proxy in my web browser, and plug my computer into my TV via HDMI. Quality is very good and most of the time I can get HD. Unlimited internet + Netflix is much better value than Foxtel, cheaper and a lot more choice. Love it.
Look into this website called UnoTelly. It's a $4.99 monthly fee and you can choose which country's DNS you want to chose. This way not only can you trick NFL Gamepass to think you live outside the US, but if you select a European country or Australia you get past the Thursday Night Football and local game blackout rules too. I used it last season and it worked great for me!
I use DNS and UnoTelly UK VPN to stream iPlayer with Firefox from USA and it works fine so long as I clear all browser data and reboot my machine prior to connecting to iPlayer. Also make sure IPv6 is unchecked in your adapter settings if you are using Windows otherwise disable it in your router settings. IPlayer used to work with just the DNS until about a year ago but no VPN too.
Took this from a google search:
>Smart DNS Proxy is sophisticated technology which allows Internet users all over the world to unblock Geo-restricted (or Geo-Blocked) websites like Netflix, Hulu, WWE Newtork, , BBC and many more popular websites which contain regional-restricted content.
So once you find a smart DNS service you want to use, you go into your Shield network settings and change your connection type from DHCP to Static.
Then as you're setting up the static connection, it allows you to input your own DNS servers. This is where you would put the DNS servers of the company you are using (in my case I use - but there are plenty of them).
After that, you're done.
Using these DNS servers allows me access not only US only content, but also UK as well.
So being in Canada, I can now access content from Hulu, Netflix, , , NBC, etc., as well as ITV (UK), BBC (UK), Channel 4 and 5 (UK), etc. just to name a few.
I've been using UnoTelly. This year they switched to a subscription model. I'm paying $12 per month + $5 for UnoTelly. Comes out to ~$150 for the season.
Edit: saw that you already renewed your regular LP subscription so international won't work. You could still try using a proxy service though.
My setup is using UnoTelly which is a DNS service and NFL Gamepass International. I get every game live (that's including playoffs and Super Bowl). Works great.
Wanted to add that I use the plex sever on my mac to play it through my Roku with the plex plugin. They have a NFL channel that I use to play the games on Plex.
Unotelly still works you just need to use the TEST US or TEST#1/2/3 options. Probably change them up once a week.
But yeah, wont pay for it in SA until they bring their catalog in. So I'll happily pay for a US account and UnoTelly.
Yeah VideoStream is awesome, I use it all the time. Add in UnoTelly + BBCiPlayer + Netflix US + FanPass all running native on Chromecast (requires a bit of jiggery pokery in the router to circumvent Google's hardcoded DNS but that's not too hard) and you have yourself a pretty sick media setup. Farewell shitty broadcast television.
Lin works for UnoTelly, not PayPal.
We don't know why PayPal made this decision - although it's probably evil, knowing PayPal. The "open and unrestricted Internet access" line is still clearly an attempt to force people to side with UnoTelly.
Edit: I thought UnoTelly was a Netflix competitor, but apparently it's a geo-unblocker. Now I see nothing unusual about PayPal blocking them.
Netflix blacklisting service: "Ok, let's read the reddit forum today to see what services we need to target again. Ok, I see that unblock-us is working today, UnoTelly is working today, etc... so those are the ones we need to target again. Thanks, silly redditors!"
Paypal has just cut off payments to UnoTelly, accusing them of being a circumvention tool. (see )
Why they chose UnoTelly and whether they plan to target any other DNS or VPN services has not been reported yet. Also not clear is how Paypal decided that DNS unblocking is a circumvention tool when there doesn't seem to be any legal opinion supporting that.
Bitcoin is looking a bit more attractive today if services like Paypal are going to make up their own laws.
I get the same message with ~~Unotelly~~, Unblock-Us and .
I'll either watch it OTA on CTV Toronto or connect my laptop to my TV and use a vpn and watch it on
edit:: UnoTelly got it working just after the game started
Using UnoTelly dynamic dns: I've had problems for the past week. There are specific UnoTelly ('us test 1' etc) to help with problems. It's still a game of back and forth. An AMA from UnoTelly would be helpful to understand what is going on
No it won't, Netflix aren't going to actually shot themselves in the foot by seriously chasing up VPNs. Netflix have to be seen to be saying this information because they have a responsibility to the providers of their content but things like this get quoted every few months and nothing changes.
I very much doubt you will see any change or if you do and UnoTelly stops working then as someone else said it will become a bit of cat and mouse with UnoTelly doing a bit more to hide their IP addresses from getting blocked by Netflix with Netflix not seriously trying to shut them down.
See, this was from January 2015 promising the same thing and nothing changed.
This. I used the fuck out of UnoTelly (not affiliated) when I was in Germany, and setup all my friends on it. Simple as fuck. Update router IP address for DNS Server to theirs, sign up for the service, then call a girl up, netflix & chill.
Yep, UnoTelly. I only mention Netflix in South Africa because that will more than ever push for the internet being the only content provider
UnoTelly is a much better option. Services like Hola and ZenMate reduce your speed. UnoTelly costs around R600 for a year subscription (R50 a month) and I can stream Netflix from any region in HD using a 10mb line.
Also, Episode 10 the Last Day is available on ABC iView and available until the 19th
I made a UnoTelly account using a spam email to watch it since I don't live in Australia and quickly reverted back to my old connection setting and there doesn't seem to be any problems.
>
Looks sketchy. Maybe I have the wrong impression. I'm not overly trusting of DNS redirect services; I'd stick with the known services such as Unblock US or UnoTelly. At least those have known legal addresses.
Japan played incredibly well and we flayed average. It was a shock but hopefully this kicks our asses in gear for the game against Samoa.
You can watch all World Cup games through UnoTelly apparently!
UnoTelly is great, been using it for a few years now works with pretty much all devices.
Just a tidbit, when It comes to "Free" VPN and DNS services, just remember that you are indeed paying for it one way or another. Hola and such a major security risks to use.
Thanks for this, used UnoTelly to sign-up for GamePass International for $100USD (Season only) via Brazil, and then I can use my existing Cloak VPN () yearly subscription on any of my iOS devices to watch games and AirPlay them to my ATV.
Most irritating part was making a non-US iTunes account to get the app (I wasted one email address) -- the sure-fire way is DON'T CREATE AN ACCOUNT FIRST -- sign-out, and try to download the GamePass app, and then create the account from that prompt; that'll let you select 'None' as a Payment Option.
If you want a more expensive but extremely reliable option, you can purchase Game Pass via UnoTelly (or another VPN service). UnoTelly runs me like $30 for six months. Game Pass is $200 and you can pay with your American credit card with no issues.
You get every game, preseason included, for every team. You also get playoffs and superbowl coverage. Plus you get Red Zone, NFL Network, and Game Rewind. Best part: that's the top-tier package. There are other Game Pass options, like "Follow Your Team" that only cost $100 or so.
Yes, it's more of an investment. But it worked flawlessly for me all last season and the quality is great.
Oh joy. No more Netflix in SA, instead we will get a generic version by Monochoice UAE that costs triple the price and has almost no interesting content. Fuck. Off. I'll stick with Netflix and UnoTelly.
This is why we can't have nice things.
With UnoTelly, you have to select the county you want the DNS to be from under the services section in UnoTelly. (Belgium or Australia) After you select it and apply the UnoTelly DNS to the device or router, you go to the GamePass website. Currently I do not believe it works on the Xbox One, but you should have no issues on a PC.
If it still doesn't work, I suggest going to to make sure your ISP's DNS server is not shown.
It's a paid service (I pay for a year at a time) but I much prefer UnoTelly for bypassing region blocks. I have it set up on my router and never have to touch it. I can login to their website or use the android app to switch my Netflix region anytime and it unlocks a lot of other services. It's great for devices that don't use a browser - PS4, Mobile, Roku, etc.
> UnoTelly calculates that Netflix US offers 7200 unique titles. Netflix Australia has approximately 1120
As a Norwegian, I could use VPN to get access to American Netflix, but VPN encrypts the traffic and creates unnesseary overhead (and my ADSL2+ connection is already pretty stressed), so instead I use a DNS service from UnoTelly so the DNS 'tricks' my browser into contacting the US Netflix selection instead of the (lesser) Norwegian selection. I can then stream directly from Netflix's American servers, instead of having to go through a VPN server and encrypt the entire traffic stream.
They own exclusive rights in New Zealand. If you use Hola, or one of the others (I use Unblock-US, and UnoTelly is highly regarded by my colleagues here) then you're accessing the US/UK/other region of choice catalogue.
Adfreetime is just as reliable, but there are some differences about what each offers as far as websites. Not many, but a few. One that I know of is adfreetime does not get you around blackouts on WatchESPN (mainly college basketball) but Unblock-US and UnoTelly will.
Get HBO Now. Requires an Apple device and some kind of Smart DNS like UnoTelly, etc.
I'm going with AppleTV first month is free, then US$14.99/mth, already have Smart DNS for Netflix.
Combo of Netflix & HBO Now is going to be great.
I use Unblock-US which works the same way as UnoTelly, and have found it to be really good. A lot of the other guys here at work have UnoTelly.
I cut the cord on Sky in favour of Netflix a couple of years ago.
Yep! All of the extra features are included. Think of it as NFL rewind + Sunday NFL ticket in one with the ability to watch every game from 2009 and all of the past superbowls.
Although if you do use this method, you don't need to use UnoTelly. I figured out today from another thread you can use Hola unblocker for free to change your IP to one outside of the USA and it should all work fine.
Personally, I use UnoTelly setup.
I now have the app on the FTV and my NUC, also downloaded the app to my iPhone and iPad. I use UnoTelly VPN feature to stream games away from home. Works great. Only cost me $26 for 6 months with UnoTelly Gold package.
+1 for UnoTelly. It's faster than VPN and works on just about any device. You can also change the location to access content from other countries, also.
They have four in Australia! 2x Sydney, 1x Perth, 1x Brisbane.
Try it before you pay out. Netflix has a 1 month free trial and UnoTelly has a 7 day free trial. Someone crafty could game the UnoTelly trial system, but they do such a good job I'm happy to pay.
Quality can be an issue for some, although on the NBN it is perfect... A friend of mine who is connected had me over and I tried it out with the UnoTelly VPN.
