I'm not very knowledgeable about available coaches, but Rick Trickett is a name that comes to mind. He wrote the book on O-line play, coached modern pro-style blocking at FSU (at the time Dalvin Cook was there incidentally), and he's available because Willie Taggart brought in his own staff when he took over for Jimbo Fisher.
I put this in the /r/nfl post before it was deleted:
We've got an awesome head coach who goes to bat for his players like nobody else. This is him when the Rams put an illegal hit on our QB last year.
We've gotten hit with some injuries lately, but we're standing strong. We grabbed a QB who was a 1st overall draft pick in 2010, and looked like it in the home opener against the Packers (whom we hate, by the way). Speaking of that game, we have an AMAZING new stadium. Has potential to be the loudest in the league because of science.
The guy who plays the Mountain taught us a sweet new chant. We're the defending division champions and currently in 1st place yet again.
We've got some awesome guys on the team, and they meet weekly for donuts. McKinnon, Griffen, Barr, and Robison are all hilarious. Head to our sub for more info. Robison does a weekly piece where he asks questions in the locker room. There's a weekly web series called "Words with Teammates that's like Password+Charades."
Stefon Diggs is looking like our next great WR, and we still have this year's 1st round pick waiting for his shot. Our defense is badass.
Welcome aboard!
http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/15807/cordarrelle-patterson & http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/12569/percy-harvin
Cordarrelle averages ~30 yards per kick off return, and Percy averaged ~27 yards.
If you look at just their first 3 years, the numbers are basically the same (Percy averages about half a yard more per return).
Cordarrelle has 4 TD's in 3 full seasons, Percy has 5 TD's in 8 full seasons.
So Cordarrelle.
Our schedule really couldn't be any better as far as weather is concerned, not limited to just the GB game.
The weather looks pretty nice for Sunday, 66 for a high. Bring a long-sleeve shirt if you're planning on being outside for extended periods in the evening.
The stadium is kinda loud, so bringing a pair of earplugs wouldn't be a bad idea. (Given you're from Texas, I can only assume you've got some for shooting!)
Otherwise, note that Liquor stores are closed here on Sundays, so if you're planning on boozing, prepare ahead of time.
~~Instead of~~ In addition to complaining about Joe Buck, stream the Vikings Gameday Network at

> Does anyone know how Bradford is at this?
Per this ESPN article from 2010:
> I'm most surprised at St. Louis Rams rookie Sam Bradford. Getting a defense to jump is a weapon usually reserved for a wily veteran's arsenal, but Rams opponents have done so a league-high 27 times against Bradford.
> Savvy stars Philip Rivers and Aaron Rodgers are distant seconds with 19 penalties each.
This is wrong. The Vikings would be in their own locker room. I was listening to Mike Wobschall, who works with the Vikings, on Thursday and he said that it’s already been decided. AFC uses the away locker room, NFC uses Home locker room. Only thing that would change is practice facility if the Viking make it. Here’s the link. Starts at 46 minutes.
Fuck Sunday ticket anyways.
The best way to do this is to make a small investment in a SmartDNS service. I like UnoTelly because their support is impeccable. Unlocator is another one that is pretty popular.
Once you have that, you can get the international version of NFL Game Pass, which allows live access to all preseason, regular season, and playoff games, the ability to re-watch old games, as well as NFL Network live and on demand programming. It's so much better than the US version of Game Pass that it's unfair. The CEO of DirecTV and the bitches who made the NFL/cable/DirecTV deals should be hanged by the neck until dead for this bullshit.
Every season I spend about $200 on these two products combined so that I can pretend to be a Dutch subscriber of NFL Game Pass, but I never miss a minute of a game, and it's great in the off-season when I'm jonesing for football. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.
He was finally coming along too. What a dingus.
I think Rudolph is going to have a big day. He and his wife are expecting twin girls on Oct. 7, but "could come any day now."

Sign up for a trial with ExpressVPN. Very easy to use. If it works on the free trial it is only $15 a month or something so you can use it for the next couple of games as well.
Edit: This site talks about using ExpressVPN.
I used ExpressVPN in China so I could use Google and Facebook and it worked great.
This Goessling article is a good primer on the financial issues ahead. Sam Bradford-Adrian Peterson pairing means tough financial decisions for Vikings
ESPN's take:
They mention Shurmur was with Bradford on the Eagles last year and two years on the Rams. Also have Peterson's take: "I'm pumped"
Just read an article at work on Friday saying that our favorite beer is Budweiser and favorite liquor is Fireball, guess this supports that

I guess that's why I'm not a coach. I look for guys who make plays.
Johnson had 1 catch for 5 yards on 6 targets.
84 had 1 catch for 6 yards on 1 target. It wasn't an easy catch and it was all hands.
I'll take the guy who's more likely to catch the ball than the who has more length. But, like I said, I'm not a coach.

kick off temp was about -10 below and the overnight low was close to -19 in the nighttime. (hourly temps at bottom of page) https://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KMIC/2016/12/18/DailyHistory.html?req_city=Minneapolis&req_state=MN&req_statename=Minnesota&reqdb.zip=55401&reqdb.magic=1&reqdb.wmo=99999
we tend to exaggerate temps in this state, i noticed.
Round trip light rail for 3 people is $10.50 which is enough to make your own hotel breakfast (bagels and muffins etc.) Dinkytown restaurants and bars are a little less expensive then downtown but I like downtown more than Dinkytown. So in my opinion it is just a wash. Or you could stay at this sweet house for $205/night.
> Extra points are far from given at that distance. 56 yarder, not going to look too much into it.
To back up this point, Players that missed XP's in week 1 so far:
KFAN's Vikings podcast page usually posts them. Most of the time, they post them very shortly after they happen.
https://www.iheart.com/podcast/139-minnesota-vikings-28149788/?cmp=android_share
A handy tip with all KFAN podcasts is that you don't need to use iHeartRadio. You can easily subscribe to them on Apple Podcasts or any other podcast app.
I don't normally self promote, but this week I released an android game I spent a little bit of time working on. It's fairly simple. If anyone has an android and some free time I'd love to hear feedback.
Very Fair point once again.
But then again, mistakes still can and DO happen in a league that has higher pressure to succeed than any other (it seems).
I mean, Graham Gano is now one of the top kickers in the league.. and he was cut.
We should've grabbed Robbie when we had the chance.
Good question. This blog from ESPN suggests that kickers actually double their odds on a 50+ kick when being iced. It also claims that this is the case regardless of whether the timeout is taken directly before the kick (allowing the kicker a practice kick) or while the kicker is setting up.
However, the blog didn't cite where it got its stats from and I haven't seen anything else making the same claim, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.
18-27 for 247 and 3 touchdowns with a pick. and I watched the packers-cowboys game along with a bit from patriots-bengals plus the end of lions-rams and eagles-redskins.
Interestingly the NFL says it won't sell memorabilia of plays that result in fines
I love the quote for the Seahawks...
"The Seahawks have played four games this season and in each game, their opponents have failed to score 20 points. If this pace keeps up, Seattle could allow the fewest points for the fifth consecutive season."
Last time I checked, our defense is averaging LESS points per game.
Edit: Here is a link The Eagles and Vikings are both ahead of the Seahawks.
From /u/bokabo:
"Also note that according to guidance by the folks who make determinations on these things (the Department of Health and Human Services), for Professional Athletes, injury conditions (particularly those incurred on the field) are considered part of their employment records, which aren't covered by HIPAA"
It would only take 10% of our listeners contributing $2/month via our Patreon page to upgrade Arif's and my internet connections so we wouldn't be subject to constant "your connection is slow" dialogs and the horrible sound quality that goes along with it.
BTW, thank you for your support! We are super lucky and grateful that the Vikings community is willing to show up with open wallets pretty much whenever there's a need for cash to generate better coverage of the Vikings or more (sometimes painfully long) podcasts. :)
Hahaha
We have a Patreon now (https://www.patreon.com/norsecode?ty=h) so if we have enough people doing that (or simply donating to Norse Code via paypal—at the bottom of the http://norsecodepodcast.com page) we're definitely getting me a mic. We just secured enough funding for hosting space, so the rest goes into making sure we have equipment (and eventually, a little more time) to make the podcast more listenable.
That means more consumable chunks (instead of one 1:45:00 episode, like three 0:30:00 episodes a week) as well as stuff like a mic.
Try If that then that. It's an automation tool that can send you emails and/or emails when e.g a specific user tweets sth. and many more things. Use it for new MoBo tweets and now this guy. Hope that one works for you on work!
$837, fly out Sat to Dublin, get back on Nov 2.
Because he is the DC of the dirtiest team to ever play the game of football? It is clear that the bounties are still active, and Rob Ryan hasn't stopped it. Sean Payton and any defensive coach for the Siants will never find another job in the NFL after their tenure in New Orleans. They congradulate a guy on a dirty hit after headhunting Harvin.
Can't say enough to hit up: https://www.iheart.com/live/vikings-gameday-stream-7017/ and on Android phone you can hit menu, show site as Desktop.

Nanny is starting on Monday. The 2- and 3-year olds spent their last day at Woodbury Montessori School, which closed its doors yesterday :'(
Poor girl's in for a rough ride with my nutjob boys for the Summer. In the Fall, the older boy will be 4 and will go to pre-school on the same bus as his soon-to-be 2nd grade sister. Capitol Hill and Rondo are in the same building so they'll ride the same bus. Good times.
We'll figure out to what day care-y thing we'll send the 2-year old in the Fall. It'll be nice to only pay for child care for one kid (other than already paying taxes for public schools, but that's another issue).
Went to Open Source North yesterday. Won a pair of Elastic socks for correctly identifying Disco Stu.
Submitted a talk for MDC. I've taken quite a break from giving talks at technical conferences. Extremely busy. But I thought Google Flutter was cool enough to do a talk.
... it's not even a sales pitch. I'm just stating that the only place to get 100% verifiable NFL tickets is through the NFL Ticket Exchange. Read the reviews about Seatgeek for yourself.
Just noticed this so piggybacking off your piggyback:
> use nothing but the VLC stream links. Too many viruses/malware with website streaming.
This is the way to go whenever possible, but VLC streams seem to only be for games on Fox and NFL Network. Right now we're okay there because the rest of the season is one or the other, but I don't know the rules for flexing games to afternoon or night, and if week 16 or 17 we're flexed to Sunday Night anyone who's somewhere not broadcasting NBC would be stuck either watching one of those shitty streams or missing the game.
Assuming people reading this are using Windows, if it comes down to shit streams or nothing, my recommendation is as follows:
Further explanation: While I prefer Firefox-based browsers, at this time Firefox or IE on Windows is a poor choice to watch any Flash streams due to the nature of the Flash plugin for those browsers and the number of exploits which have been discovered recently. Chrome is not 100% safe, either, just somewhat less prone to being exploited, hence my first two recommendations on top of that. Of course feel free to disregard all that if you're the type to not keep any important files stored on your daily/regular use machine and reinstall Windows regularly, and if you're using Linux or Mac the odds you'll run into anything harmful are really low as long as you don't run or grant root/superuser privileges to anything unknown.
Id frame it too like the other guys said, and just order a different one you can wear regularly... If funding is tight, you could always order a cheap chinese one off of DHgate
Easy enough. There was an article that said Julie ordered it for Kirk on Amazon. Here's the link.
Echogear from Amazon. I haven’t looked super hard so I don’t know. Just saw that as soon as I opened the box. Thought it was awesome.

Interesting. Well I'm not even using a VPN, just a DNS service called Unlocator. Maybe I'll go full VPN and see if that makes a difference.
Either way, it's incredibly stupid. By doing this, what does the NFL hope to achieve? Do they think I'm magically just going to go out and spend $100/month for DirecTV and get Sunday Ticket? Do they think I'm going to subscribe to the 8+ various streaming partners they have?
Jesus NFL, I'm an out of market Vikings fan who has disposable income and a hatred for cable companies and just wants to watch my boys.
With Unotelly or Unlocator, you don't even need to mess with your router. You just manually change your DNS settings on the device you want to use and you're good.
Once it's set up, simply going to the Game Pass site should give you the international option only, and you're off to the races. At least that's how it always worked for me.
If you want a more expensive but extremely reliable option, you can purchase Game Pass via UnoTelly (or another VPN service). UnoTelly runs me like $30 for six months. Game Pass is $200 and you can pay with your American credit card with no issues.
You get every game, preseason included, for every team. You also get playoffs and superbowl coverage. Plus you get Red Zone, NFL Network, and Game Rewind. Best part: that's the top-tier package. There are other Game Pass options, like "Follow Your Team" that only cost $100 or so.
Yes, it's more of an investment. But it worked flawlessly for me all last season and the quality is great.
Right! Criticism hurts more (it's the first g-dang chapter of How To Win Friends and Influence People for god-sake.) It'd be better to just tweet him some support and remind him he's capable of playing great.
This app seemed to work last week. It wasn't perfect, but I ended up listening to PA instead of the television broadcast.
I'm not positive but I'd think you could use something like NordVPN to say you're in Minnesota. I use it to do the opposite for MLB TV for baseball games and it works great.
Only thing I don't know is i don't know how your DirecTV subscription works exactly. I have YouTube TV and if I log in from elsewhere it asks if I'm there permanently or traveling, to determine which local channels I can stream. I think I have a limit on how many times I can choose to "permanently" move. So I'd guess your DirecTV is similar but not certain.
What was out of my ass? Breaking your collarbone usually is caused by falling on an outstretched arm here. How was the Kendrick’s hit any different? Kendrick’s and Matthews both completed a tackle on a QB very soon after throwing the ball landing with part of their body weight on them.
Another tradition: I swim while listening to the game on my waterproof FM radio.
I wear a black swim cap and goggles, we win. I wear a multicolored one, we lose.
Another tradition: When I'm practicing my forms for taekwondo, I also have the radio going. When I wear a pullover uniform like this, we lose. When I wear the traditional uniform, we win.
PFT's Mike Florio has a chapter in his new book "Playmakers: How the NFL Really Works (And Doesn't)" on "The Rise of Analytics;" Hands-on owners tend to hire analytic types(GMs) to obscure their(owners') meddling. Analytics to the public is a nebulous subject that no one truly gets. It's serves as a methodology to keep coaches in line with the vision governed down to them. It's a call to embrace the unconventional to overrule the coach's predisposed decision making processes at anytime. Something Jim Harbaugh could never abide by. A young malleable coach serves this end best. To circle back, yes, KAM is a puppet.
HDMI out, Chromecast both easy options for streaming it on the TV.... as far as radio

If you have a DVR and can pause live tv listen to the game at https://www.iheart.com/live/vikings-gameday-stream-7017/ it's way behind tv as soon as the kicker kicks the ball pause your TV when PA says boom press play
For anyone interested doing this at home: I've done this for years using either the NFL GamePass radio feed ($) or the KFAN Game Day stream (different from the regular KFAN stream): https://www.iheart.com/live/vikings-gameday-stream-7017/ ... I'll play the audio from a laptop to my stereo using bluetooth. If the TV broadcast is behind the radio feed you can use a program called Audio Hijack to pause the audio coming out of your laptop so it syncs up. If you can pause your TV this makes it very easy to sync everything up, but the last couple years I've had the NFL Sunday Ticket streaming-only package, which you can't pause, so some games the radio broadcast is a little behind the TV.
Way to “trust me bro” source this. Grab a seat.
For a man of Jim Harbaugh’s size, his body is roughly holding a tank capacity of 15 gallons of liquid (source). That means he has 5 extra gallons of reserve capacity for milk. Myth Busted.
Furthermore, you may buy into the fake news about birthdays but the prestigious Sports Illustrated dot com has confirmed that Jim and John Harbaugh are twins (source2). Myth busted
Here's some help Hey...someone had to do it...besides without knowing where the affiliate is, it's hard to come up with witty bumpers that are relevant to the listening audience...
The video I watched was on ESPN.
Might show it in slow motion here....
EDIT: You can see him start wrapping his legs around Peterson's ankle in the first still photo.
Paging u/happy_climber so I don't make multiple comments, but it's possible to dub PA over a stream.
First off, I suggest buff streams (PM if you don't understand this bit). Mute that tab or video. Then you'll need to remove the native controls from the stream using the HTML inspector. I use chrome, so right click and "show player controls". Keep that rolling and open the PA stream in another window. Now, we wait for the boom. The video will feature the kickoff before the radio, so once you see the kickoff on stream, pause. Wait for PA to say his boom and immediately play the stream. Then it should be synced unless any buffering happens.
https://www.iheart.com/live/vikings-gameday-stream-7017/
Only from tablet or desktop (it won't let you stream from phone).
Find a video stream that is delayed a bit because this stream is about 1 min behind TV and some streams. Or pause if you have DVR (I don't).
> and maybe sunscreen
That's an interesting thought I hadn't considered.
The roof material apparently does block a little ultraviolet light, but other sources I'm seeing all just say "high transmission of ultraviolet". I'm not sure about the glass on the west side.
So yeah, might want to bring sunscreen. At least if you're as pastey as me.
I bet you're thinking of this study: http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2013/story/_/id/9214247/study-shows-more-value-2nd-round-picks-1st-rounders.
they define value by weighting production against cost, and concluded that second rounders are more valuable. this is probably especially the case in mature teams, since they'll have less salary equity (and so getting slightly less production at much less cost is ideal).
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17441449/head-police-association-slams-colin-kaepernick-socks
Another case of Kap creating controversy. All the while he is now the 3rd QB in the 49ners, most of this due to talent/skill.
Peyton played fine for half the season then fell apart hard over a couple of games that resulted in him being benched. Then he stepped in during the play offs and played good enough to win.
For the record, here's the stats from when we played the broncos early last year and imo when they were at their best. Note that our D had 2 ints and 2 sacks. They had 7 but that really doesn't say anything since our O line was a turnstile. Also, Walsh missed a 38 yd FG early in the game that led to a TD for denver. Had he made that the game outcome may have been different.
Might make a good christmas gift, or for you younger fans out there, good education! I haven't seen this yet myself, but the reviews seem to be pretty great. Had an alert out for this that triggered today, so thought I'd share.
i use this one and do not pay for premium with no ads.
youll need to enable developer settings on android by clicking the android version multiple times (a toast menu will come up), then at the bottom in developer settings is the option to select which app you want to spoof locations.

Here let me show you the magic of a search engine:
Second...don’t do it. Buying a Favre Viking jersey in 2017 is just....sad. Unless the intent is to troll a Packers fan.
I prefer Heroes of Newerth, which was the modern DOTA remake before DOTA2 came along. The gameplay is a bit faster paced and I like the new original heroes. Mostly only do play in Midwars mode though.
Gotcha. This program right here is a godsend. Drag your video into that, go File>export to MPEG-4. Enter these settings. In the "Limit data rate" option, change that number until you have the estimated size you want. If you're using vimeo free, they limit you to 500MB so as close as you can get without going over.
Let me know if you have any other troubles. I mostly do AE work so this is right up my alley :)
Thanks for giving me the information I needed to find it. Here it is:
You should be able to find all of the Redskins games via torrent. They may or may not all be downloadable, as they tend to be readily available during the season, but less so as time passes.
I like this search engine:

Dish sucks. Get good digital bunny ears for the vikes games and I use ESPN+ and a VPN (I use Private Internet Access) to change my IP address location to watch wild games since local games are blacked out.
Osterholm's book but I'm sure Kirk's "research" is better. "This book will change the way you think. It is clear, well written, and has a narrative drive provided by a subtext worthy of Stephen King. It is also based on solid science--in fact, I wish the science weren't so solid, so I could dismiss its conclusions. If enough people--or the right people--read it, it will do what few books can do: it will save many, many lives." ―John M. Barry, author of The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History and Rising Tide: The Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 and How It Changed America
I've posted this before. The Vikings book by local sports columnist Patrick Reusse. It starts from the beginning but was published in 2008. So the Farve season/AP years/Minnesota Miracle aren't in it. But it gives you a good history up to that point.

Alehorn has one on Amazon right now for roughly the same price if you are a Prime member.
This bad boy. At one point it went on sale on Amazon for like 3 dollars so everyone bought a bunch of them, and the gnome lived on from there.
Found some on Amazon! Ordered! Going to drink on Gamedays for sure!
This one isn't super in-depth, and admittedly RNG takes a very big role in the game, but if you're just looking to manage salary, mess around with trades, and draft high potential rookies, it's not a bad option for mobile. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.achijones.profootballcoach&hl=en
Oh, one more thing. If you want the actual team names and a roster that is sort of based on reality, you need to download a roster. As far as I know, this is the most updated one: https://www.reddit.com/r/FootballCoach/comments/d2jsg5/pro_football_coach_2019_nfl_roster/
The top is the Hammarp from Ikea (I don't think they have it anymore), but it's essentially just butcher block and I stained it. The drawers are the Alex drawers from Ikea, and the legs between the top and the drawers are these legs I found on Amazon here.
>hirt, can't find it on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083L9F685 - thats the direct link. We're printing another run today since it's doing so well :)
I use Unlocator DNS and it has worked fine up until they moved to this new deltatre servicer.
If they are, in fact, moving to a more aggressive geo-location service in an effort to stop me doing what I'm doing, then that's unfortunate. I won't be getting cable anytime soon (ever again), and I only have so much energy to spend looking for a workaround I have to pay for.
It'd be illegal streams for me, full bore. That, or I'd simply stop watching the NFL.
It's really easy. UnoTelly has setup instructions for all sorts of devices and operating systems. Basically, they supply you with a primary and secondary DNS address based on your location, and then you follow their (very clear) instructions to change your preferred DNS addresses to the ones they provide.
Takes about 5 minutes.
Oh man, you're asking the wrong guy. I know next to nothing about Tor and all that stuff. Far as I know, the VPN via UnoTelly is just telling that you're somewhere you're not, and they then make the good Game Pass available for purchase based on that perceived location.
Now i'm googling for a baggo set and I found this one on Amazon. Holy shit that is fire!
I got the frames with the pictures.

I got the select frame. He may have them available at his website but i'm unsure.
I rep one in Wisconsin. Someone posted a link here originally on some site but I got mine on Amazon here Minnesota Vikings New Era NFL "Team Mooser" Cuffed Knit Hat https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B772UPM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DxtbybQYS9MVG
