I would checkout ClickUp’s free forever plan. The onboarding process was a breeze and the clean interface has three different views for managing projects with a smart search feature to help sift through tasks. This solution gives you the ability to create custom statuses and filter by those statuses which has been a lifesaver for me. Due to ClickUp’s many options to customize your workflow and make the tool your own, this would probably be my first choice.
I briefly used Trello in the past and found the use of boards, lists, and cards to be very helpful when organizing projects. Trello offers features like unlimited attachments, due date tracking, and comments to help give you perspective on projects. This is a great free solution if you’re just looking for a step up from email as it can feel cluttered with larger projects.
I would look into ClickUp and/or Wrike. Both of these tools are great for organizing projects and improving productivity.
ClickUp offers some really awesome features like assignable comments, multiple assignees, and tons of customization. My team just started using this software and the onboarding process was pretty seamless. The interface is clean, intuitive, and allows you to view your tasks in three different ways making it easy for team members to get the information relevant to them. Their customized status feature has really improved our workflow and has allowed me to manage projects confidently throughout the life cycle.
Wrike is another great option to look into! This software is perfect for delegating tasks, tracking deadlines, and it makes communicating with your team effortless. They offer features such as Gantt charts, time tracking, and email integration. Wrike is quite robust and can take awhile to learn. Its important to dedicate some time upfront to learning the tool in order to maximize it's potential. We previously used this solution and really liked the features, however, it got a little too pricey as our team grew.
It depends on what you like and dislike about the software. My company briefly used Asana and we found that it was difficult to locate projects and tasks sometimes and felt the tool was lacking a sophisticated tagging mechanism. This became top priority when looking for a new platform.
We decided on ClickUp and were amazed at how quickly the team was able to adopt the solution. We are now able to assign comments to team members, customize statuses, and also filter tasks by those statuses. The interface is clean, intuitive, and they provide you with three different ways to view your work (list view, agile board, and box view). ClickUp makes collaboration easy and improves processes and accountability. I would definitely check them out if you're already disliking Asana.
Another great tool that I used at my previous company is Trello. If you're looking for a beefed-up to do list, this would be a great option. Their visual boards are easy to keep project tasks in view so that the project stays on track for successful completion. Trello's onboarding process is very intuitive, however, the solution seems to be geared more towards small teams and projects. If you're looking for a software that your team can grow with, I'm not sure that Trello will be able to scale.
Well, it's similar to Asana and such but you might look into ClickUp.
You can do a lot with it (if you need to) but you can also keep things simple.
Sounds like you'd just need one list for task management and one where deliverables could be added directly by clients or stored by you.
AaddeMos, you may want to look at ClickUp (https://clickup.com/). I'm looking at it now as a replacement to Todoist and thought of your post here that you made a few days ago. ClickUp has both start and due dates but so much more. They're development team is a lot more active and it has everything Todoist has. The only difference is, free users are limited to 100MB storage. Paid users ($5/mo) you get unlimited but considering that it has basically everything people have been wanting in Todoist, it's looking to be the answer I've been looking for.
The app really does seem to get a lot right. Just a few features that it has....
The only caveat is that the project structure is different where you have projects and then lists but I'm actually able to manage that structure as the software includes dependencies so I don't need to rely on tiered projects any more like I was trying to do with Todoist. It's worth a look.
I'm don't think we can help you categorize your life without knowing much about it. Consider checking the provided ClickUp templates and use case examples available here: https://clickup.com/templates
For me Toggl trackr has been the most reliable and cross-device app for time tracking; Clickup also lets you track time + relate it with tasks.
I would recommend Clickup. Been using it for two weeks now and I'm blown away by it's simplicity and the free account gives you everything you need without ads. Check it out! Appreciated if you use my reference link: https://clickup.com?fp\_ref=jesse95
Clickup is free and lets you add subtasks quickly and view them in a variety of ways such as in lists, boards and mind maps. Because it has so many features you may sometimes have to review help to take advantage of some features. For instance, you can add a ClickApp named "Nested Subtasks" that lets you add subtasks to subtasks. Help shows you how.
Nice! When you get all the different parts set up, you might want to emphasize, either in your Hero section or somewhere below, that Warble is an all-in-one platform for musicians, which will make it easier for musicians to manage all aspects of their music business.
You can check out Notion's landing page and ClickUp's landing page to see how other all-in-one app landing pages are set up.
For now, to get your initial customers, it's good to focus the app one thing and to make Warble a specific solution for a specific problem. It looks like the problem you're trying to solve is that musicians don't have a dedicated social media platform to socialize in. I think it'd be good for you to check in with musicians to see if this is a problem they really need solved right away, or if some of your other services might be more important to them up front.
Overall, I think it's a solid idea. Good job!
ClickUp.com - Tracks tasks, checklists, goals, integrates to my calendar, has time tracking & time estimate abilities for time management, note taking that can easily be converted to actionable tasks and more!
If you are evaluating a new system; our team, Echo Consulting, is hosting a webinar on Wednesday on how to select a task management system.
Easiest way is to create shared Kanban boards through a program like ClickUp (it's practically free). Have a board for each team and each team's work can roll up into a project level Kanban board. As long as everyone updates things as they are completed, it's pretty easy to see what needs to be done, who's doing what and what's been completed.
Incase you are unaware ClickUp is pretty nice it has all the functions of Trello and more. Only downside from my perspective is the atrocious mobile app. Which could be a deal breaker for many.
I've been passively investigating this lately myself. The front runner, in my eyes, for a team of your size is ClickUp. It offers so much potential, is inexpensive, and always improving. This is a solution that will scale with you...
Try ClickUp. I don't know if it's what you want, but give it a try. At first, you'll be confused by the interface if you didn't use something like this before, but find what feature you want and get used to it. In your case, you'll probably need a list (or even a folder) for each artist and the manager who assigns tasks to them. You'll also have deadlines, status, estimated time, tracked time and so on. Feel free to ask me if you have questions.
If you’re trying to be a salesforce developer you will gain interest, but SWE positions don’t utilize it at all.
example, as you can see it is not grouped in engineering, but sales
I use a combination of paper to do lists and a software called clickup. My team started using it at work and I liked it so much that I now use it for anything. The organizational structure has helped me become so much more productive.
ClickUp? It's got a "board" view as well as traditional "list" view AND a "box" view to give you a great summary of a project. I use Todoist personally, but am evaluating ClickUp for our team at work.
I would take a look at a this productivity platform we just recently started using called Clickup. It does have all the task management features, however, you have the ability to turn these off to make it as simple as you'd like, which sounds like it would be nice for you and your team.
Are you using a PM software or productivity app of any kind? If not, I would recommend it! I use clickup and it's been so nice being able to see all projects I want/need to work on and visually see them being moved through my workflow.
My first choice would probably be ClickUp. The design, organization and features are way beyond any current platforms. I love that they offer different views (including an agile board) to view your work. You are able to create as many teams and projects as you like, and also add subtasks within tasks. Trello is a good option as well if you're looking for an amped-up to do list that you can share and grow with.
Hey, N3rdMan! Thank you for your reply! I was able to find two webinars that walk through a product management setup! This first webinar is a beginner setup, and this second advanced webinar is similar to our ClickUp setup. I also wanted to share this Product Brief Doc template, in case it is helpful for writing out your briefs!
Though I am not a Product Manager, I am on the Product team! To manage my own workload, I like to use Tasks in Multiple Lists to see my own tasks on a personal List. I also have some recurring tasks set up for some of the items I need to do daily, weekly, and monthly. My current favorite feature is the Notepad to jot down any sort of notes or ideas, and then I turn those into tasks as needed.
Hey, myboyblue92! This is a great question! Though we do not have strategy sessions, we do have a free public-facing university called ClickUp University! It has a lot of great courses for navigating ClickUp. We also have live and on-demand webinars on specific use cases and more general topics.
Hey, there! Thanks for your reply and great question! There are generally 2 types of uses!
There are some uses that are cumulative, which means once you use them they run out. These include features such as Custom Files, Email in ClickUp, and certain views.
Then there is another type of use for Spaces and Lists. For these types of uses, it means this is the maximum amount of that item you can have in your Workspace at one time. If you delete or archive an item then it will give you that use back. For example, if you have 100 Lists and delete 1, then you can create a new List in its place.
The pricing page is a great place to see which features have which types of uses! There is usually a tooltip next to them that shares more details.
I encountered this as well, in particular for email but I realise you are talking about comments.
Our solution was to not use the reply feature and instead always add a new comment so the threading was not actually used. This worked well for us as it exposes all dicussion without nesting under the 'replies' text.

Hey, there! This is Luci from ClickUp. Thank you for your post! We love supporting nonprofits and offer a nonprofit discount! Please fill out the form on this page, and our Support team can share more details!
I'm also wondering if there is a way to utilize fewer Custom Fields on the Free Forever Plan! Is there a way to use the task description, checklist, or subtasks for the information that you are needing?
Hi, I don't think you have explained why? Are you requesting a clickup feature? Suggest you post it on https://clickup.canny.io/

Hi Achillaa,
ClickUp does not define status progressions, it allows the user to move from any status to another. By workflow, I assume you mean that a task should progress through a expected path of status or stage progressions.
Now that I am not replying from my phone I can explain in a bit more detail. You can define different status for a given group (list) of issues. But you cannot define that it must go from status A>B>C

Hey, there! This is Luci from ClickUp. Thank you for your post! On the Free Forever Plan, you can invite unlimited members and guests! On this plan, everyone who joins your Workspace can only have full access to create and edit items. Here is the breakdown of what is included in the Free Forever Plan, and let me know if you have any additional questions!
I normally use Notion or Obsidian for study notes but work/project related stuff I prefer Clickup, you can separate things by spaces or users and use tasks and/or docs to write/insert any markdown and content you need.
Thanks for your reply! I definitely understand how connecting tables with formulas can help your workflow of expense tracking!
Though I'm not able to provide a timeline, I was able to find this feature request for formulas in Table view! You can add a vote and comment there if you'd like! This will ensure you receive any future updates or questions from our Product team.
I was also able to find this personal budget template if you want to take a look!
Hey, there! This is Luci from ClickUp. Thank you for your post! Can you share the full Integromat workflow you are trying to create?
Are you looking for a template ID for a task template or a different type of template? If it is a task template, you can find the task template ID by using a GET Task Templates call with the ClickUp API. OurAPI documentation shares more details about this, and I recommend using Postman!
If you are looking for a different template ID, let me know and I can look into it!
A lot of what you're saying is true of myself as well, though your situation may very well be more debilitating/find less value in anything I've said which I'm both sorry to hear/hope you're still able to play with passion projects on the side, monetizable or not.
Strange plug, but if you haven't played with ClickUp I find its great for roughing out a skeleton for a longer termed project in a way that keeps it feeling right in front of you and easily digestible. Its not a fix for motivation/persistence dropping off the map, but it does help give structure to ideas that can't just be banged out in a few quick sessions. Its also simple enough to spawn additional workspaces for your additional ideas, which you might find value in.
Lots of great advice on here. I am the tech side PM and I/we used this app & template for our latest project. I also binge watched Layla & Yvi on Youtube (search their names with “Clickup” in YouTube).
I hope this helps! Good luck!
also adhd-haver: i don't have a 100% solution for you, but my latest fixation is clickup, web + phone apps, integrates with everything (discord, ms todo, make, toggl) and has so far been pretty intuitive. i don't know if i'd do any of the paid tiers yet.
This is Luci from ClickUp. Thank you for your post! Have you taken a look at ClickUp University? It is our free online platform with interactive courses. There are some great intro courses there, including one called 'Set up Your Hierarchy'. These free courses can be a great place to start if you are wanting to learn how to set up your Workspace!
I also found this free Class Notes template in our library that may be helpful. If there is something else you're looking for I'm happy to see what free resources we have!
A couple of years into renno on my first home.. my two cents:
- Vinyl floors are awesome, easy to install, durable, look nice. Great for bathrooms too.
- Confirm 100% if you're messing with a load-bearing wall
- Some tools are better borrowed/rented, and some are better bought. Look for a local "too library" or make friends with an elderly neighbor who was 3 of everything
- OfferUp/Craigslist/etc is AMAZING you can find literally everything on there at half price. Ex: I got a 1000$ tub, guy was asking $500, accepted $350.. it was brand new, still had the cellaphane on it.
- Take your time, don't cut corners
- ALWAYS wear the proper PPE.
- NEVER work on live electrical circuits.
- Avoid off-brands if you can.. I've never regretted buying the nicer version of something and most of the off-brand fixtures or things I got that looked nice on Amazon ended up causing more trouble than the savings was worth.
- Try to finish a project before you start another (goodluck with that!)
- Clickup.com or similar free very effective project management software can help a lot with tracking, prioritizing, etc.
Goodluck!
Please see my answers, below!
Hey, u/DoItLive247! This is Luci from ClickUp. Thank you for your post! ClickUp has a great Free Forever Plan that you can use as you get started with ClickUp! If you sign up for an account you will automatically create a Free Forever Plan. This page has a table that shows what's included.
We do also offer a student discount on our paid plans, and you can apply for that on the student information page. I also wanted to share this blog post that includes project management tips for school work.
Hey, there! This is Luci from ClickUp. Thank you for your post! ClickUp is a very flexible platform that is customizable and suitable for many use cases and workflows!
This area of our help docs has information on how ClickUp can be used for various use cases and industries. I'd also like to share our template page, which can also give you some insight and inspiration for how ClickUp can be set up for different needs.
Features such as Whiteboards, Docs, and Mind Maps are great for concept mapping. For instance, our Whiteboards are great for creating a SWOT diagram or an Eisenhower Matrix.
If you have any specific questions about using ClickUp or want more resources on a specific use case, let me know!
Hey, u/wildjezza! This is Luci from ClickUp. Thank you for your post! In addition to the great resources that have been shared, here is a list of vetted consultants you can check out to assist with your ClickUp build! On this page, you can also filter by industry, such as Legal Services.
Timeline View has always been a Business plan and above feature. On Free forever and Unlimited you only get the trial - 100 uses. For detailed comparison: https://clickup.com/pricing
Clickup has many features and it's free. It's a dedicated project management system that professionals use. However, it may be overkill depending on your needs. Even if you only consider Clickup's UI and different types of boards, you'll see how it can help project managers work more efficiently.
Here are things that Clickup can do. (link).
Clickup can also relate information in a limited way. You can link tasks to other tasks, subtasks within subtasks, and related docs to tasks and tasks to docs. Boards including tables, Gannt Charts, Timelines, etc.
But Clickup is not a knowledge management tool like Obsidian is. On the flip side, many people work fine using project management tools in Obsidian. Someone even tried to use Roam Research to make a CRM. That worked, but even as the user noted, it's only good for simple scenarios.
Here are some of my bookmarks showing how Obsidian users do project management in Obsidian. (link).
(link)
Obsidian URLs can help you link information (in a limited way) between tasks and docs in Clickup. For example, an Obsidian note can contain a link to a Clickup entity, such as a task or Clickup Doc.
Check out ClickUp - they have some pages focused on using it for sales/CRM and are much more friendly than Jira for non-software developers:
It's free also - at least to start so you can kick the tires and figure out if its worth upgrading or not.
It absolutely resonates with me. I definitely need to know every single detail of what is ahead of me. It doesn't matter how difficult the project is. It doesn't matter if I have the knowledge or experience to do it today. What matters is I need to know what is ahead of me. Because I can then slice and dice it in add it as a project / task in Clickup, write notes / my thoughts / concerns about it using Amplenote, plan and separate the tasks into different days, and then I am good to go. This is 50% of the job for me. Understanding the project end-to-end, creating an action plan in the form of project plan / tasks / notes, then I know exactly what needs to be done. The rest is about just doing it, which is the easier part, at least for me.
Why are you limiting yourself with Motion or Reclaim? It looks like Reclaim only works on Google Calendar, and Motion is far too expensive for what it is. Have you considered TickTick? It has everything you asked for and more, and does it for the fraction of the price - and it's free tier is generous enough.
Another option is Clickup. It has a lot more features than simple task management / project management, but if your projects are complex, it might worth taking a look at it.
I already saw this 3 USD deal somewhere but I don’t remember. Also, I already talked to the sales and they offered me 60% off for a year commitment. In a quick search I found it: https://clickup.com/deals/promo-15-limited
ClickUp has everything you asked for and many more. I recently discovered the tool and I am amazed how complete and feature rich the tool is. Its free tier has so many features that I am quite shocked. Give it a go.
Well.... it depends.
The easy answer is "no". I'm going to assume you're talking about the home screen. In the default skin (Estuary), the home menu items are populated by local database lookups. Kodi addons are forbidden to modify Kodi's internal database (more on this later). So the technical answer is no.
But! If you're using a non-default skin, many of them are customizable and can change the home menu items, so you can modify it to point to whatever you want. An example of this can be found in this issue.
Alternatively, if you do want to use the default skin and the internal database, that's how Jellyfin for Kodi works. It syncs metadata from the server into Kodi's local database. It's most definitely not popular with the upstream Kodi devs, but that hasn't stopped us yet. The caveat to this is that it really takes over Kodi, so it doesn't play nice with other addons or local media. If you're using Kodi only for Jellyfin content, it may be an easier answer for you.
Yup. Unfortunately for a variety of reasons we have shelved it for now. I will take it down.
https://clickup.com claims to do it all. TBH I haven’t tried it.
DM me if you want to dig deeper into the topic.
Clickup also share the user data with a lot of other companies (counted accurately to 29) They are required to list them and the link is in the pricvacy policy page. Lots of their subprocessor being marketting companies. Do the sell the data ? I don't know. But any of thise sub-processor could sell or leak or share the data.
By trusting clickup, you kind of needs to trust these 29 conpanies with your data. I hate this. I do have a clickup account and this makes me feel really bad.
List of sub processor. https://clickup.com/dpa/subprocessors
I was using Zoho.com for a long time. I'm paying $70/month for their all-in-one solution and they just raised the price. Been thinking about moving and that was just the push I needed.
I'm currently testing out ClickUp.com and it seems pretty good so far. It will drop my monthly cost from $80 to $40.
Don't forget about the money they funneled into their new HQ just last year: https://clickup.com/blog/check-out-clickups-new-san-diego-headquarters/
This site gives a pretty good walkthrough to do waht you want to do. The only step missing would be to insert a graph based on your table.

I mainly use our project management tool for notes, maybe try the same? There are loads of PM tools, Freelo.io, Teamwork.com, Clickup.com... and a milion of others
I would use the Space as the Project. Folder as the stage of the Project. Then use Lists inside the project for This Week and Next Week. All your tasks would go into the proper List. Then, you can open one of those List views and filter as needed.
If you want to keep your current structure, you can also create multiple List views for one List. Each of these List views could be by member. For example: Member A = a List view within the Project Stage List. Then you can sort or filter or group that List as you want. Then add another List view for Member B, Member C, etc.
You can protect those views or auto-save them as you want.
You could also create a Dashboard widget for tasks per assignee or some other widget that fits your need.
Our company has used ClickUp extensively for email. Our staff do not have email accounts separate from ClickUp and only email through ClickUp. We do use Slack and other messaging tools as well.
If the information I have given below is helpful to you or anyone else reading this please use this link to signup for ClickUp as a thank you. https://clickup.com/?fp_ref=anthoney70
My experience overall is that clickup is great for communication on an existing 'ticket' where you send the first email and the customer replies. It is not great for a incoming funnel of emails from outside. We have developed techniques to manage this situation and we happily operate our company on ClickUp for email communication, with a few mishaps along the way.
Pitfalls
- at certain times ClickUp emails have been identified as spam at receiving email systems.
- there is a defect which is not quite fixed where emails come in to ClickUp as blank, this is due to the sender's email signatures.
- Clickup does not handle new incoming emails well. It could automatically create and link an email but it does not. You have to forward the emails to a clickup email address and the format is ugly and subsequent replies on th thread are not joined to the first task and so on. In short receiving new email threads is not great in clickup. I hope they will fix that, and if you are reading this clickup please fix it urgently.
- sometimes there has been a delay in sending the email.
- 'not quite finished' is how I would put ClickUp's email feature. rough edges, works but not all the time. We tolerate the problems because of the benfits of not having individual email accounts for staff. I huge plus for us.
There are notetaking apps that do a lot of things, such as manage projects. And there are dedicated project management tools used by professionals. Those are not notetaking tools. There can be a difference depending on how complex your projects are and your needs.
You can try and use Clickup for free. Many types of boards exist including Kanbans. However, many people may not need a complex tool like that. There's a learning curve.
A complex project might be many people working on many different projects that have tasks, subtasks and subtasks that have timelines, schedules, priorities, subtasks, task dependencies and documents linked to tasks linked to documents. Perhaps you don't need all that. But you can try it for free. Most features you'll need will be free. It even has docs that integrate with tasks. But it is note a notetaking tool.
Hello! Thank you for reaching out, we totally hear you. Can you please drop us a line at [email protected]? We'd love to hook you up with an extended free trial so you can continue to field ClickUp and see if it is the right tool for your workflow. We are transparent about all of our features and different plan options. Click to learn more & please let us know if you have any questions. The "Custom fields" information is presented under the "Essentials" tab.
I was introduced to ClickUp by a friend, and I fell in love with it. We use it a lot at work, and I ended up using it as a personal workspace too.
Ultimately, ClickUp is as powerful as you make it. They have a guide over at https://clickup.com/university for every level: Guest, Member, and Admin. I highly recommend looking at the ones that pertain to you.
Ultimately the best way to learn is just exploring and playing around. See what works. Efficiency comes from use, so learn and share your knowledge!
Hey! This seems very hard to explain over a post in Reddit. The best thing to do might be to check out the ‘Learn’ section on their website: ClickUP-Learn
Another great resource, is under Resources at the bottom, where you can find a link to templates: ClickUP-Templates
It seems like you’re looking for something like Agile project management. There’s some Webinars and templates for this. Hope that helps.
This one can be tough, it's usually whatever your work provides, but I was just checking out this new one that looks sweet, and I was just about to signup and remembered your post. https://clickup.com/compare
As others have said, follow up with support. That said, when you’re logged out and looking at their pricing page, there seems to be an option to suggest an alternative price when looking at the yearly options, it’s a link that says “let’s make a deal.”
That said, the unlimited members, free forever plan level is still on their website. Please update us with what you find out. My company pays a non-trivial amount for our use, but I love the idea of our cost subsidizing smaller companies, teams, or international usage for others when pricing would be prohibitive.
I would reconsider renewing with them if it does turn out they are making existing free users pay with no lead time or viable options!
You should give ClickUp a go! Their task tracking and calendar view as well as calendar integrations are excellent. And for the "creative part" there are many options too. E.g. I keep a document in their "docs" feature for every project to take notes, add links or dump screen shots. They also have a mond map option https://clickup.com/features/mind-maps and there are many integrations with other tool, you might want to check out.
>Feels boring. I feel unmotivated to check the items in the list.
I don't know that any software is gonna make it feel fun and exciting to check the box to mark a task complete... Unless you find one that shoots confetti and plays fun sounds which I haven't seen. But that's a personal problem and can't be helped by the app.
Regardless, if you ever do feel motivated, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned ClickUp or Teamwork... I can't speak for their free tiers as I always had a paid version. We tried teamwork and it was pretty good, there was just one small feature that my boss wanted that it didn't have, so we settled on clickup and it's great.
Try ClickUp ! It's the only tool that covers every situation. It is very customizable, you can manage everything from shopping lists and agile projects. It works for me, I use it every day both for work and personal.
I'm always surprised more people don't know about this but ClickUp offers awesome support and training and if you want to go direct to the source. Here's the site for a free 1:1 with an expert! https://clickup.com/coaching
Otherwise, I think you would want to set up an automation to assign the form submission / task to you, and then make sure you have notifications on when something is assigned. https://docs.clickup.com/en/articles/845659-notification-settings
I already sent a bug report about my bugged experience on Clickup.com, but I might as well add it here anyways: When I fought The Servants and killed Kleio last, she was clinging on to a wall as I killed her and while she was in her dying animation, she phased through the floor and dropped all her loot and the blueprints I wanted from her all the way below the boss room, where I can't access them now. Is there a way to get those blueprints back without restarting the run and having to do the boss fight again?
Clickup: A multi-user web-based project management and robust task management system with Gantt charts, dynamic timelines, tables and a lot more ways to visualize data, tasks, subtasks, related tasks, dependencies, deadlines, etc.
With all those features comes a learning curve so you may or may not consider simpler tools. I assume that MAC versions exist like Android and PC versions exist.
If you try it, look for and activate the free optional Clickapps that add additional helpful tools. Some users don't know those tools exist because so much documentation exists because of the learning curve.
Via a tutorial, it shouldn't take long to learn how to at least input a few projects and tasks with dependencies to see what basic Gantt Charts and Timeline views look like on the web and how you both can work on the same projects. Clickup is designed to help teams of people collaborate.
A home project seems like an ideal candidate for a project that needs robust project management.
Many visualizations and views exist. Here's the Gantt Chart view ..
For organization I use ClickUp
Basically a "free" trello.
Are you using B1 as an MRP, or just financial?
Withing the MRP module there are some great tools for tracking projects and statuses.
Otherwise, there is also a Project Management Module for B1.
If you've already been down that road and not finding what you are looking for, I like Monday.com for a simpler solution and Clickup.com for a more robust one. Have had success with both.
When I was using SAP B1, and utilising all the modules, we found it to be enough for our business. It was painful to get to using all the modules, but worth it once there.
There is a series on YouTube tagged ClickUp University. I think it has exactly what you describe looking for. Here's a link to the search results.
https://www.google.com/search?q=clickup+university
If you want to dive deeper, check the actual ClickUp University training courses!
I'd suggest:
- get your clickup api key
- go to https://clickup.com/api and try the quickstarts code samples for python (you can do it by writing scripts in Visual Studio or Jupyter Notebooks for example) - and you'll be able to play with them in live
Take a look at Clickup, I find that it has all Notion's features + some nice extras like gantt views, integrations and timers.
Edit: you can also search tool alts at alternativeto.net
Clickup's free features give you additional boards besides Kanban. And it is a powerful task and project management system that lets you manage tasks and subtasks in any of those board views, relate things and link documents to tasks which link to documents.
Here's how Kanbans can look and function. Other boards exist such as list, table, Gantt chart, timeline and mind map. But if you want to live in Kanban view you can.
You'll also benefit from Clickup's project management features and ability to monitor a project's status from beginning to end in a variety of ways.
It goes space, folders, lists, tasks, sub tasks, nested sub tasks, and also checklists…

Clickup can be configured all kinds of ways and they have lots of automations now. One way to find a solution is to look at their templates section, you might find something that is mostly there for you, doesn’t sound like you are trying to do anything crazy…
One strong positive about ClickUp is that it is under constant development…and they have lots of webinars, too
This years annual conference was ok, but the prior year blew my mind- they literally fixed or changed like 10 of my exact issues. Like they read my mind. I was using CU like 12 hours a day at previous job, not much currently but I will be using heavy as soon as I’m able.
You might give this a try since quite a lot of it is free. Kanbans, Gantt charts, calendars, tables, maps .. all those linked visual tools are there there to play with along with different ways to manage and move sub-tasks and link things together. There's a learning curve depending on how productive you want to be.
Screenshots here that show what's possible.
Even if you learn a particular program, there are still project management techniques to learn that can help you. Some companies may hire a project manager who's sole job is to manage projects because he has the expertise to do that - especially if a zillion positions have zillions of moving parts.
As Clickup says, there are things you need to do besides manage lists.
>Excerpt: You also need a detailed project management plan and tool to allocate resources, manage them, track time spent on tasks, and more.
They define the 5 steps in project management. Things you may need to learn are sequencing activities and laying them out in the correct order based on things like dependencies.
You'll also have to do things like estimate task durations and develop a schedule with milestones. Lots of training material exists that can help you learn that particular program and project management skills.

Seriously though, that's some masterful use of i-frames at 1:01-1:14.
It may be overkill but Clickup has docs that integrate with its task and project management features. A task can be in a Doc and a Doc can contain tasks and things can relate to other things.
In the example on this page you can see how you can also bring in other things like YouTube videos and Google Docs. Just about every feature you'll need is free. Although Clickup does docs, we might think of it as an extreme task and project management system that happens to do docs as opposed to Evernote which is good with docs and happens to do light task tracking and management compared to OneNote which doesn't have Evernote's new task features.
I use a desktop app called Bear, for organizing. But its doesnt necessarily have any features for ranking that I'm aware of.
Sounds like you might benefit from some kind of kanban. https://clickup.com/features/kanban-board is a free one I recently heard of. I havent tried it. But I've used paid alternatives (like Jira) for ranking work tasks, and it was very usueful.
Clickup has notes (docs) that integrate with tasks. As the commercial says, it does a whole lot of things for free including collaboration. You listed several nice features such as ability to share and quick notes but with those come complexity. Since Clickup does basically everything, it has a lot of moving parts. It's not as simple as something like Todoist which has fewer moving parts and does less.
But if you need notes and docs and tasks integrated, Clickup does it well.
Hey cool idea. It might be worth checking out clickup.com and monday.com as they have a similar lists of lists concept to building out arbitrary business processes. I'm currently using clickup to do some light roadmap/story planning work in a more flexible way.
What you're after is a project management focused CRM. Clickup would be my pick for what you described but you'd need to see if the interface suits you. Could also look at Zoho. Maybe Copper if you're on gmail. There's so many, usually what I'd do is shortlist about 5 and then set them up and see how the workflow feels for the user.
Please try ClickUp.
It integrates with Google Calendar. I suggest you set up a new Google account (instead of your regular one) and sync ClickUp with that calendar. That way, your tasks will be distinguished in your Calendar.
Hello! The best way to get that data is to use the API to get a task from that location and it will show all the CustomField IDs. You can also find task data in web-hook messages!
Check out our API Docs for more details here: https://clickup.com/api
Drop us a line at if you’d like some more help. We'd be happy to assist!
I probably didn’t use the best phrasing, it’s not necessarily bundling separate products but more of bundling features that could be separated.
I’m not great at examples but maybe ahrefs.com. The cheapest plan is $99/month for site auditing, rank tracking, site/content/keyword exploring, etc. Most people I know just use it for the keyword research though, so you could spin off a SaaS that only focuses on the keyword exploring and costs $9.99/month you could steal some of their user base that doesn’t need the full package.
https://clickup.com is a good example of the opposite idea, on their homepage they have a feature section where they say “Spreadsheets - replaces Airtable, Tasks - replaces Trello, and like 20 other features”. Now imagine none of those other companies existed only ClickUp. You could look at it and say “Wow this is overkill I don’t need all of this I just need a good task manager” and then build Trello to fill that niche.
You might test an app like Clickup to see what you think. Real life consists of those things and many things you didn't. The marketing project alone seems extensive. You can treat life's - even hobbies and self improvement - as projects you can manage effectively the way real project managers do.
Spreadsheets can be very helpful; they can function like mini databases. You could also see what you think about a real database such as Airtable which people can use like a spreadsheet with additional benefits. Airtable has a free tier.
Something like Airtable would be an additional tool to use for data management and not a replacement for a project management system such as Clickup or a Clickup competitor. Here is a long list of Clickup features (link). In that list you'll see how the app can integrate with spreadsheets and Airtable.
I use ClickUp to track my items. There are multiple views (Kannan board, calendar, list, etc) and you can setup reoccurring items which add themselves back to your list on a schedule. Has been especially helpful for those once a quarter items I forget otherwise.
OP I would seriously suggest looking into ClickUp. I tried everything for my business and ClickUp, while it can seem daunting, gives you so many options for automation and to make something customised for your needs.
Have a look at their webinar page for some great intro videos on specific use cases and give it a try. Worth the money and their support has always been top notch.
I love Things for my home stuff still, especially with the new iOS widgets but for proper Project Management and collaboration you need a tool built for that purpose and Things, IMHO, just isn't that tool.
ClickUp is a good option for an entry level task management system. They do have the ability to create and add notes within the tool and then you can convert any portion of your notes to tasks.
Have you considered using something besides Jira? Maybe you need an app like Jira with built in features like the ones you mentioned to avoid needing to invest additional time and energy to get extra features. I don't think I would recommend Jira for a small company. Check out this link: https://clickup.com/blog/jira-alternative/
I know everyone is trying to help you, and I think a lot of people have good points. But I noticed that the biggest issue for you is that Jira is not a great tool for the company because you even need additional features in the first place.
I remember when I used to work for a startup and we chose Salesforce. It was a terrible choice by management as it was complete overkill for the size of the company (2 sales reps). Once management was let go, I took charge and replaced Salesforce with a very simple online app and Excel. The problem with using big apps for a small company is it is unmanageable, time-consuming, expensive, and needs integrations to other apps to get all of the functionality that you need. I hope that you are in a situation to get out of this app that isn't a good fit for the company.
Honestly, there are many tools that could accomplish what you are looking for but I also recommend ClickUp.com because I find the free version is very robust!
Our team, Echo Consulting, is hosting a webinar on July 14th on How to Implement a Project Management System that you may find useful.
You can try ClickUp . It has a feature for setting goals and targets for completing those goals. But it has more than that. I’d recommend you try it, since it’s free up to a certain amount of space.
Just be warned, the website has so much that it can do that it might be overwhelming, but there’s a feature to disable some of the stuff too.
ClickUp.com could accomplish this with its dependencies and automation features. It all comes down to how you set it up though. Our team, Echo Consulting, is hosting a webinar on July 14th on "How to Implement a Task Management System". Hope this helps!
Yeah there's a plugin: https://clickup.com/integrations/outlook
Alternatively if you go to the plugin store thing directly from outlook (assuming your outlook version isn't old AF) you can search Clickup and install there.
I use it at work (exchange as well) and it does the trick. Add emails as tasks or attach them to exjetng tasks. Pretty straightforward.
Only gripe I have is that seems they don't have a dark mode for it so it sticks out really bad if I use outlook in dark mode :)
