If anyone wants it, here's the algorithm for wand selection which is more or less figured out completely: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiUkKupdksjddEZSOGZsM0ZUT2dLUHdwbzd5dTVqbGc&hl=en_US#gid=1
I've tried with a few accounts and got exactly the wand predicted by that algorithm. Please note this is, of course, spoilers and very cheaty. So if you want the "magic" to remain don't click. I quite like it because, at least with flexibility, I can know almost exactly which trait they chose. And for general interest, my wand is Pine with Phoenix core, 13 in unyielding. Tall, blue-green, even, intelligence, isolation, castle, dagger
Here's another spreadsheet for Sortings (neither of these are mine): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ah5Z8a6rXFL8dGQtbW85ZGlSc1VaV3FldmdTWG1sQmc&hl=en_US#gid=0
Haha, no problem. Pottermore was down earlier so I couldn't get it. I saved it to a Google Docs document, which I don't use that often, so tell me if there's any issue:
I'm pretty interested, depending on the quality and cost. I'm actually waiting to make paper wands until my boyfriend has gotten into Pottermore, so we can be ACCURATE. I'd say there's a market, though, and one that's going to grow as Pottermore opens up. The only problem would be acquiring all 20 or so different kinds of woods – there's a fair amount of startup cost there. I wouldn't buy a wand unless it was 14.5" and sycamore. Preferably fairly bendy. You can skip the phoenix core, though.
Yup. The algorithm they use essentially allows you to get hatstalls. My friend has been doing research into it here if you are interested https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ah5Z8a6rXFL8dGQtbW85ZGlSc1VaV3FldmdTWG1sQmc&hl=en_US#gid=0 - if you scroll to the bottom of the spreadsheet you'll find the hatstalls
I found another one here that's different. So at least one of them is fake. I'm betting it's both, though.
We've got one here which is nearly complete but there are some discrepancies that we are trying to sort out via collecting more data (:
Someone suggested Page Monitor for Chrome. It will let you know as soon as the page updates so you don't have to keep refreshing. You can ask it to alert you with sound or a desktop notification. Worked pretty well for me today.
So, um.
I got bored.

That's tables, question by question, of all of the answers in the Sorting data that Kinetophobia provided.
There's not enough data for a full picture yet, but there's some telling bits.
Make of it what you will.
It's just the prefect bursting with house pride. Every single one of the house letters are arrogant with the least most being Hufflepuff's: https://www.facebook.com/Pottermore.house.letters . You should see Ravenclaw's. The prefect took three paragraphs to insult each house.
The wand I got was ebony, 9 1/2" long, with a unicorn hair core, and "slightly yielding." I think hazel or black walnut would've been a better choice, though.
Of course, I say this, stubbornly refusing to admit Pottermore might be right (I rejected its sorting me into Ravenclaw, too), which is rather an ebony trait... so... ;)
That's not Pottermore's fault. reCAPTCHA is a Google service, and there's a reason that you're allowed to switch the word. It's actually used to turn scans of books into digital copies by using everybody on the web checking and rechecking words that were scanned strangely.
supposedly this browser addon is supposed to help but i had the duration settings set improperly until this morning so i'm still struggling.
I still haven't received mine, but this is re-assuring:
>@pottermore
>Pottermore
>Don't worry if you haven't received your email confirming early entry. There’s a million to send out so it may take a little time to arrive.
Umm... possibly the Pottermore / Reddit spreadsheet? That's the only way I can think of, unless it was the biggest fluke ever...
