OpenGameArt.org will be taking part in this one, and we're looking for participants.

P.S. This is in no way intended to discourage other teams from using art from OGA. It's there for everyone. :)
Name: SchwarzWeiss
Comments: 2-player game with tanks, shooting fields to turn them black or white (like a boardgame). You need python2.6 and pygame1.9.1 installed. Still bug in game menu (playing more than once does not work, need quit & restart).

Name: Last Escape
Idea: Crash landed on an alien world, you must gather energy from the creatures infesting the remains of a dead civilisation, to power your suit, your jetpack, your weapons and hopefully enough to get your spaceship home before a terrible slumbering power is unleashed.
Repo: https://github.com/lendrick/Reddit-Game-Jam-March-2011----Team-OGA
Name: Solar Survivor
Comments: Hold off the aliens until your rescue ship arrives! Collect power from the solar panels to keep your suit and gun powered. (Beware: Shooting takes up extra energy!) This game is actually unfinished, and was made for the Reddit Game Jam. You don’t die when you run out of energy, and nothing happens when the ship’s arrival timer counts down. Just know that when that happens, you lost / won!
Instructions: Arrow keys (down will drop through floors) Z - Jump X - Shoot
Packages: Play on Kongregate!
Name: EnergyIsland
Comments: You run an island's energy program. I've been learning programming and thought this game jam would be a good challenge as I work through "Learn Python the Hard Way."
Package: Haven't quite learned how to package things nicely with py2exe or something similar yet. But, the source code is here if you have a Python interpreter. I'm using Python 2.7.1. Didn't get to a game end condition so you'll have to force quit :).
Team: Me with helpful tips from bombita.
You forgot to mention, almost all of the graphics in this game were custom made for this game, five different tileset themes, custom enemies, custom art, custom music. We put a huge amount of work into this game, it is well worth checking out all the different levels :)
edit: Also worth pointing, if you like the game submitted here but felt it needed polish, we are continuing active development of a fork, here: https://github.com/lendrick/Last-Escape
It's awesome. Some random glitch though, I was looking for the chicken and left the window while I checked an email. Went back to the window, Now I have to find Noah. He's fecked off somewhere :( http://clip2net.com/clip/m8680/1294701193-clip-28kb.png
I'm sorry, I don't own a Mac, so I couldn't test it there, but I guess all you have to do is install the pyglet python library. I didn't think to package it with the source code, butt here's an installer on the website for Mac OS X.
Oryx Engine is a personal project of mine, source is available on my github. https://github.com/RileyA/OryxEngine
I need to head to class, but I'll put build instructions up somewhere when I have time.
Idea: You are a tiny little ship who must flip between attracting matter and anti-matter particles to make them collide and destroy enemys.
Repo: https://github.com/Scroff/Antimatter (nothing much done yet)
Assuming you are talking about the Linux binary, you'll need SFML 1.6 installed (not really a safe, clean way to make that portable). On Ubuntu the packages 'libsfml-graphics1.6 libsfml-system1.6 libsfml-window1.6' should do the trick; most distros should have similar named packages. Alternatively, you can download the binaries directly from the SFML developer.
Name: Love in the Time of Spaceships
Comments: Would you take a bullet for your wife? Pilot your spaceship into the red dots so that they don't get past you to hit her. Green dots will replenish your shields, but not hers. If you die, she doesn't stand a chance.
Solo team, the music and player sprite are freely licensed (details in README).
Play online: http://philh.net/love.swf
Name: Hitch'd
Comments: You can't find love if you don't know how to date. Help people learn to flirt so they can find true love. Click on a man and a woman then click flirt. Try to get a high score.
Packages: Source | Play Online!
Name: Not War (incomplete)
Comments: Use WASD to move/jump. Run from the war machine to find love... or something. Collect useless coins. This game is incomplete. I didn't have enough time to finish, unfortunately. I've never created a game before, and I suppose I overestimated my speed at doing so. :P The original idea was to have the coins tradeable at shops that you encounter occasionally throughout the game for upgrades and unweapons that shoot love at enemies, making them feel more apathetic about killing you until they eventually give up.

Packages: Windows Binary and Source (should compile on any platform that supports SDL and OpenGL)
EDIT: Included relevant dll files.
