Also, please wear gloves and a mask when shooting. If nothing else get a container or pack of LeadOff. As someone who has done a fair amount of soldering, I've gotten the exposure talk dozens of times. Always protect yourself.
I live in Texas and I've never bought a gun that DIDN'T have a trigger lock on it; I'm pretty sure it's the law that they have to include one. The problem is that everywhere I've seen uses the same "universal" lock which is impossible to remove in any kind of hurry, so they get tossed in a box or the trash as soon as they're removed: https://www.amazon.com/NJMK-Universal-Trigger-Lock-Gun/dp/B08PYHJ8Z7
If they included real, keyed trigger locks I think they'd be used more often but my guess is that little 2-prong POS fits the legal definition of a "key" and lock, so they get away with the bare-minimum.
I recently read "Ordinary Men" about how normal polish police went from being civilian normal police to aiding the Germans in the Holocaust and it's scary how many parallels there are. It requires normal civilians and police to all step up and speak against it to stop
Edit: comrade pointed out these were German civilians. They are correct.
"Browning argues that most of the men of RPB 101 were not fanatical Nazis but, rather, ordinary middle-aged, working-class men who committed these atrocities out of a mixture of motives, including the group dynamics of conformity, deference to authority, role adaptation, and the altering of moral norms to justify their actions. Very quickly three groups emerged within the battalion: a core of eager killers, a plurality who carried out their duties reliably but without initiative, and a small minority who evaded participation in the acts of killing without diminishing the murderous efficiency of the battalion whatsoever."
A big thing that struck me: when the police who initially said "no" in front of the rest of the group were later asked how they were able to say no they talked about how they were older and financially independent. The young guys all said yes because they were focused on their careers and hoping for a promotion. I wonder how much of the same mindset controls our police in this country. If the chief of police is smiling at militia run check points, is the 24 year old cop ready, mentally but financially, to question him?
Not an answer to your question but for some useful information on the topic allow me to recommend the ranger medical handbook Highly readable and informative.
You don't need a massive gun safe to lock the gun away from a 2 year old.
Seriously. All you need is a crappy $20 lockbox to keep a handgun out of the hands of a toddler. If you can afford ammo you can afford to secure your firearm from small children.
"Since both permanent war and heroism are difficult games to play, the Ur-Fascist transfers his will to power to sexual matters. This is the origin of machismo (which implies both disdain for women and intolerance and condemnation of nonstandard sexual habits, from chastity to homosexuality). Since even sex is a difficult game to play, the UrFascist hero tends to play with weapons – doing so becomes an ersatz phallic exercise"
"In such a perspective everybody is educated to become a hero. In every mythology the hero is an exceptional being, but in Ur-Fascist ideology, heroism is the norm. This cult of heroism is strictly linked with the cult of death. It is not by chance that a motto of the Falangists was Viva la Muerte (in English it should be translated as "Long Live Death!"). In non-fascist societies, the lay public is told that death is unpleasant but must be faced with dignity; believers are told that it is the painful way to reach a supernatural happiness. By contrast, the Ur-Fascist hero craves heroic death, advertised as the best reward for a heroic life. The Ur-Fascist hero is impatient to die. In his impatience, he more frequently sends other people to death."
I saw it at a military surplus store and my first thought was, "Anarchist American flag?" I asked the store clerk and he said it was intended as a flag to honor soldiers killed in action but was most often bought by bikers. He got a kick out of the potential anarchist symbolism, too.
ETA: I found it on Amazon.
Good post.
If you have any type of storage on your person, it should have a tourniquet and some dressings.
This goes hand in hand with ammunition. It is that important.
Also, if you have the $, a basic field kit never hurts to have ready, for many many many possible situations.

$70, in a MOLLE pouch, with quickclot bandages and basic trauma tools.
AR is your go to then. not everyone wants to hear that, but except in edge cases id argue an AR is better for home and self defense than a shotgun, and depending on local laws is good for more hunting than most think. you should be able to do a budget build within your budget, i managed to do so with the same one. Here is a link to an Texas comrades build guide that is spot on for more information.
Got them as a gift. My friend just searched Soviet posters on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Soviet-Posters-Pull-Out-Maria-Lafont/dp/3791381105/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=Soviet+posters&qid=1565858608&s=gateway&sr=8-2
I actually don't know it was given to me. But I put the velcro on it. Its an adhesive.
Personally the best arguments I see are from the LA riots or the civil rights movement where they had no choice but to fight back with guns due to the police and the government doing nothing or actively helping murder them so do some research on those two subjects. Lots of writing on it are available with simple google searches but if you prefer books here are two decent books you can buy off Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/This-Nonviolent-Stuffll-Get-Killed-ebook/dp/B00IHGVQNY
You could also look at the Labor movement in the 1800s and 1900s where labor organizers were murdered by the police or mercenaries hired by the bosses.
Please consider something like https://sandstorm.io for document sharing instead of Google docs. Google docs is a popular doxing tool. It is very suspicious to see a Google docs link in this sub in particular. As someone who shouldn't have a gun in the house (history of depression), I want to keep my armed allies safe. You guys are our last line of defense of shit his to fan.

2nd vote for the Romeo 5 if you can find it at $100 or below on eBay with a coupon. Oyahsales, or whatever the eBay company with the good price is called, seems to have caught on and raised their price by a few bucks to offset the frequent coupons.
If not, just keep an eye on gundeals.
I've also got a couple TRS-25s, but since you'll need a pic rail riser and that seems to mean shitty UTG risers, I don't really feel they're worth it.
It wasn't deleted, it just came unstickied when a new thread was stickied. The emergency backup is currently https://raddle.me/f/socialistRA although socialistra.org should have a forum open within a few days, so then there'll be two.

I mean, it's been a long while since I used to be in those circles, but I never picked up on it meaning anything other than a "tacticool" look. Probably directly related to the subdued color flag patches worn by troops in combat zones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXYB2FN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_HH3BNG9CTG8M0K56PEFX
I have a leftover IR flag patch that is black and tan.
It's probably safe to say the person flying it is a chud anyway.
No surprise. Greece has been dealing with fascism for a long, long time. I expect their socialists have a few plans in place for this type of event.

Otherwise, if there is an mlok slot on the bottom position…. magpul makes a very nice mlok bipod for ~$100.

First Edit:
Black Hawk Down was written by Mark Bowden. It is a study of how theoretically superior Delta Force, Rangers, and U.S. Army infantry performed a 1994 raid in Mogadishu, Somalia, and were caught off-guard by the well-prepared and ferocious counterattack by the city's defenders. Bowden was a reporter at the time, and he wrote the book with keen eye to every detail. Details like the solders were expecting a quick raid, so nobody went out with night vision goggles, and as the sun went down, everyone was fighting blind. Other details like how the titular Black Hawk that went down, was supposed to be part of the reserve rescue unit, and therefore there were no resources or units available to rescue that crew because everyone had responded to another crash at the same time.
Very much worth the read, and pretty cheap on Amazon, used book stores, your library or wherever you can find it. I think West Point and other military academies still list it as a required text.
Second Edit:
Anyone who wants to read how Nazis fight would do well to study Erwin Rommel. He was a field marshall who fought the U.S. forces in North Africa and all through Europe. Other generals studied him, including Patton and Eisenhower. Soldiers study other soldiers, and the books they publish give insights into their thinking as well as tactics, so a smart person figures out how to exploit their behavior.
Here's an Amazon link to Rommel's book, "Infantry Attacks".
Third Edit:
/r/AskHistorians is an awesome resource with many, many knowledgeable people that can tell you a lot about military history all over the world. I recommend we use them.
Snowden gushed over Qubes without ever saying that their canaries lasted too long. Protonmail puts out an unsigned transparency report which they don't have any update schedule for. NordVPN updates them daily! But has never signed one. Cloudflare's unsigned transparency reports only come out twice a year. As EFF says, >One of the most surprising things that we have learned over the course of the Canary Watch project is that almost every canary is unique. We have seen canaries that were in PDFs, plaintext, HTML, and even images. We have seen canaries that were integrated into the website banner and canaries which were only available on Github. We have seen canaries that are signed using GPG, canaries that are part of a transparency report, canaries that include the day's weather and top news headlines. We have seen canaries that are updated on a daily basis and canaries which are updated once per year. We have seen canaries that were created once and then never updated again. Again, the fact that canaries are non-standard makes it difficult to automatically monitor them for changes or takedowns.
There IS no defined best practice for warrant canaries, which very few sites have in any form. Apple, Microsoft, Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian? Apple's died, and the rest have never had one. Essentially no financial or shopping sites have them. And here we are, on a site with a long dead canary.
I agree that they should be signed, because why not? But making a big deal about them being quarterly just makes you look salty.
I am a complete layperson with (luckily) no experience in self-defense. Take my thoughts with extra salt.
Carrying a knife is just a good idea, in my opinion. They can be so useful in so many ways. I don't use mine very often, but when I do need it, it's nice to have.
I imagine you're right about their being no good for self-defense, but it certainly can't be worse than trying to defend yourself with your bare hands. Of course, you'll stand no chance if your attacker has a gun, but at least you can maybe keep someone from trying to punch fight you.
I would recommend a can of pepper spray. Ideally the fog spray kind, but the squirt spray can be useful for other situations. Amazon sells a 2 ounce can for 15 bucks, which is much cheaper than a gun, and it fits easily in a pocket or handbag. I imagine it would be vastly more useful than a knife in most situations, except in cases where your attacker isn't susceptible to pain (drugs, or just really fucking tough or something.) In that case, a backup knife might be useful.
Can you imagine needing to stab someone? Fuck that would be scary.
E: Pepper spray, not mace.
Be sure to check out The Art of War if you haven't already. Obviously it isn't nearly as context-specific as Guerilla Warfare by Che, but it still provides a good set of fundamental rules to follow in a general setting.

Be very mindful of 'staging' guns if children are ever in your home (yours, if you have children or family members). You (or your partner) are better off having a pistol on your body when around the home, in a good quality holster, than staging firearms.
I would recommend looking at a night lock or door reinforcement lock. These make your door(s) much, much harder to kick in and can be installed in ~10 minutes. https://www.amazon.com/Defender-Security-10827-Door-Reinforcement/dp/B00D2K367Y/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=door+jam+lock&qid=1611426185&sr=8-5
I would suggest The Shock Doctrine and This Changes Everything, both by Naomi Klein.
The former is about how capitalists use disasters like Hurricane Katrina to enrich the few at the expense of the many. The latter is about climate change, and how capitalists would rather destroy the planet than see a dip in profits.
https://the-eye.eu/public/Books/Field%20Manuals/United%20States%20Army/
This has a number of field manuals. There are also quite a few in the SRA wiki under the manuals section.
Be warned that the TM-31 series of manuals will likely put you on a watchlist, but you aren't going to have people knocking on your door over it.
Anyone who reads WiTBD and thinks the main lesson is "start a newspaper" missed the point, which is that robust, countrywide communications operating beyond the reach of the state are essential to a resistance movement/revolution, and that Iskra would necessarily promote the development of these.
The modern day equivalent is establishing and regularly testing secure meshnet comms lines as backups, because Trump could claim the authority to activate an internet kill switch right now - how would you respond to that?
Can't exactly Google the problem when Google is down, or worse, tattling the locations of anyone conducting "suspicious" searches to Trump/Putin's mercs for "enhanced interrogation".
My personal recommendations are Scuttlebutt (specifically the Manyverse app) and Briar, both of which use a store/forward model so that updates can be communicated over sneakernet, bluetooth and plain old internet while it's still up.
A Baofend UV-5R is what I have ($25 on Amazon currently). It's enough to dip your toe. You need at least a Technician license with the FCC to be able to transmit with it, though. I'm currently studying for that license.

Easiest thing is to just download the Tor browser. That's better than a VPN. More complicated is tunneling to Tor through a VPN. But Tor basically works. The Dread Pirate Roberts used Tor and they only managed to catch him because he posted with a username that was the same username he used on some forum as a teenager, that linked to an email which linked to his real name. But interpol and shit was after him for like a year before that and Tor protected him. I tunnel in through Mullvad and OpenVPN. Mullvad is 5 Euro a month which you can pay with paypal, bitcoin or even by physically sending them money in the mail. OpenVPN is free. Mullvad has instructions on their site about how to configure OpenVPN to work in tandem, and Tor Browser on top of that.
If you use Linux at all Kali Linux has a neat program called proxychains preinstalled that automatically runs any browser or any other program that connects to the internet through tor. You just type 'proxychains firefox' or whatever you want to run.
For email I'm using protonmail right now. It's not fully open source or decentralized which isn't ideal, and there may be a better option out there. But it uses end to end encryption for everything, it doesn't log IPs, you can set it to self destruct at a future date, it's free and has a mobile app, and it's Swiss (the Swiss will tell US agencies and anyone else to fuck off, and actually they have laws requiring them to).
The best thing I can think of for you to do is get some first aid or emergency medicine training and supplies. Take a class, but also get a good reference so you aren't trying to remember everything under stress. I particularly like the book "Where There Is No Doctor" (don't use amazon, but this book) which is a long time best seller for travellers and aid workers.
Beyond a simple household first aid kit, a small cache of medicine and second tier medical supplies (common antibiotics, electrolyte packets, anxiety meds, T3 with codeine if you can, sutures, blood clotting agent, gauze, splints, kt tape, etc) will help keep your local friends put together and healthy. Having a medical reference book and a small stash of meds at home is no substitute for an emergency room, but being able to help them long enough for professionals to take over will make you invaluable.
I'd also recommend starting a garden as soon as possible, depending on local climate, fall planting is just around the corner. Failing that, buy a little extra in the dry goods and canned goods when you go shopping and slowly build up a reserve of food to help neighbors, friends, and relatives.
Gun wise, I don't think too much about WHAT you bring so much as how well you bring it. Practice with whatever you like, but practice. I hope to god we never see running gunfights through city streets, where an AR or AK would do best, but I do believe that a shotgun or rifle and a handgun of your choice are prudent. Bolt action deer rifles are just as or more deadly than ARs, and again we'll hopefully never be running through the streets with one shooting on the move.
While this is the Socialist Rifle Association, on the Left prepping is not just about you surviving, its about your whole community surviving. Food, medicine, safety, those are what you want to bring to the table.
Yep looks like you got a case of crimped primer pockets. Something like this is the budget way to go about removing the crimp:

Larry Hopkins, a felon for at least 33 years, with at least one prior arrest for being a felon in possession of a firearm, gets busted yet again for it. Two immediate thoughts: It never ceases to amaze me how many of the far right are armed felons. Also, WTF, he leads a group which does armed mass kidnappings, and one incidental charge is going to be the end of it?
Your link isn’t working for me, but it’s not hard to find another: https://books.google.com/books/about/The_Conquest_of_Bread.html?id=TB2ul8NVVPcC

Right, I should have said "need" rather than "want".
You don't need an entire data center to run communications for a medium sized org, that's half of the point of sticking to what's worked for a long time. Plenty of things can run on a Raspberry Pi if you don't need a bajillion features. Mumble comes to mind.
If you want something that's relatively easy to use but has decent security properties and is decentralized I recommend giving Briar a look. It's quite resistant to the metadata problem. You could in theory run it via floppies+sneakernet.

I use this as my range bag. Small enough to carry everything I need like a cleaning kit, ammo, and ear/eye pro. Cheap, nondescript, compact, keeps my hands free. I bring weapons in their own case.
Lucky!
Oh my god. Yeah, kids are pretty dumb 😂 glad I'm not having any!
And I've talked to my cats about gun safety:

I don't think I even have that book. Please don't call CPS (Cat Protective Services)
After a target has been completely shot up, I like to do what I call the "Made in America" challenge. The lower right corner of the targets that I use have the "Made in America" seal. I have found this is an excellent way to fine tune your optic and test your marksman skills while getting the most out of your targets.
My friends and I also use this as a friendly but competitive way to try and out shoot each other. The distance of the target is 15 yards, but sometimes we'll do it at the 25 yard range which is even more challenging.
Its a simple way to maximize the use of your targets, fine tune your skills, and makes a day the range that much more full-filling.
My wife buys these targets for me by the 100 pack. They also come in packages of 25 and 50. I'll have a link posted at the bottom and they can be had at Amazon. I use these targets specifically because they allow the shooter to get an instant report and if need be adjustments can be made immediately instead of waiting for the range to go "cold".

>Or a 3/4 size souvenir baseball bat.
So I like baseball. You usually won't catch me anywhere without a short, metal training bat and a weighted baseball nearby.
While training with such a bat itself is quite nice, I have found that my technique and swing speed have improved with practicing different grips and unique directions of my swing at home with one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Tap-BC2-5-Bell-Club-2-5-Kilogram/dp/B007A8IDPE/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=weighted%2Bclub%2Bfor%2Bexercise&qid=1605752786&sprefix=weighted%2Bclub&sr=8-16&th=1&psc=1
Ideally you want something to hit (like an old tire), but it works decently just for practicing form too. Slightly padded gloves are your best friend when dealing with impacts against hard surfaces. Be comfortable with both hands leading as a team or solo and different angled grips. There's more than one way to score a home run, especially if the other team only expects you to swing like normal. Youtube is great for seeing what you definitely shouldn't do, and in what ways you need to avoid getting your batting privileges taken away during a game.
For $20-$30 I would recommend heading to the sporting section of your local retailer and getting a folding knife. I carry a CRKT M-16 for places where carrying a handgun isn't an option. Small enough it can go in the pocket but definitely capable of self defense at melee range.
If you can come up with that $30 every month you might be able to get involved in martial arts. The judo club I used to teach at was part of a community center and only charges $30 a month for training. Even then we would work with low income students and had several students who were attending for free.
Keeping the flow of information making its way out of the country going will be critical to keeping international pressure on your government.
If you can, get access to a VPN (such as NordVPN), otherwise download and install the TorBrowser. There are a variety of messaging programs/apps you can use securely such as: Signal, Matrix(the app is called Element), and Threema.
Each of these has pros and cons, but all are reasonably secure.
Matrix is free, but a bit challenging to get going. Once you are up and running everything works fine. Just be sure to keep your secret keys in a password manager (like LastPass) so you don’t lose them.
Signal is by far the easiest to use, but requires a phone number to register. Once registered, anyone with your phone number can message, voice and video call you in signal. By far the easiest to use, but it requires sharing your phone number. May not be ideal for conversing with internet strangers.
Threema can be used securely and anonymously. You do not need to provide any phone numbers or email addresses to register. This app is also quite easy to use, just make sure you keep your secret key safe in a password manager (like LastPass) so you don’t lose it. The only downside with this app is that it is not free. It costs around $3 USD.
Finally, getting a good secure email address could be very helpful as well. I would strongly recommend ProtonMail.
Stay safe.
I recently bought these:
Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Pro Sound Amplification Electronic Earmuff (R-01902) with Sharp-Shooter Safety Eyewear, Clear Lens (R-03570) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EXTED6A/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_zihIFb4M7QVND
(They have gone up in price in the month since I purchased them)
I wanted excellent protection, even in an indoor range, while still being able to easily hear my range instructor speak.
I have been very happy with them. They are so comfortable I forget I am wearing them once I have adjusted them, thay do a great job at muffling the sound of fire, and I can hear my instructor very clearly- sounds almost like I am not wearing anything. I was really surprised at how well they do what they claim to do while still being easy to wear.
But some found this model the too bulky for use with long firearms and liked the slimmer versions of the Howard Leights.
Also, my understanding us that, if you will not be shooting indoors, the version I bought may be more than is needed.
So far I am impresses enough that I would definately buy this brand again.
The eye protection has no fog lenses which was important to me.
If I take it on my bike I'll probably just throw it in my Kreiga drypack. But I ordered this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FNCY58J?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image) to carry it (broken down) with the scorpion when not using the motorcycle. I like that I can get a more compact bag with it all broken down and stored away.
See I was thinking of myself more like Smaug all my treasures tucked up under my belly. No dwarves are going to take it from me.
I’ve been carrying the Sofirn SP32A V2 for about two years. I’m an armed guard at a facility located way up in the mountains, I’m constantly outside in the elements, snow, rain, heat, etc and this light has had my back through everything. It’s waterproof, (I’ve dropped it in the water a couple times) and pretty durable. It’s also really cheap for the quality. Sofirn makes budget flashlights, but you literally can’t tell the difference between my light and some of my coworkers more expensive lights. Unfortunately, it looks like they might not make this model anymore, but if you can find it on eBay or something I’d say go for it.
They make thread that you can just hand sew in; it'll turn any glove into a touchscreen glove.

I've inquired with a cybersecurity comrade, and they recommend Mullvad or Proton right now for online security in general, regardless of the purpose. I know they subscribe to both for redundancy, and have used both for more common things like watching region locked content on various sites. Great tool to have on hand for sure, if I wasn't such a broke bitch right now I'd have a sub to at least one myself. Really need to do more to protect myself online than I have in the past. Certain forms of social media have really made everyone let their guard down too much in my opinion. Stay safe out there comrade
Proton has given up data too. I’ve heard they aren’t as private as people thought. Who knows though. Ultimately you’re trusting some entity to value your privacy and $15/mo more than a court order. They’re reputation is on the line but you never know.
The only vpn I’ve heard recommended as fully anonymous is Mullvad, and that’s due to the fact that they accept cash in an envelope and dont require any potentially identifying info. I don’t even know if that’s true, but when I heard it, all the other ones suddenly seemed like they have shitty privacy, which just isn’t true. Hell, I still use express until what I’ve already paid for is finished and I’ve heard plenty of sketch stuff about them.
I have a gut, and this style holster is most comfortable to me - not the quickest to draw from, though.

What is this list? With the exception of a paramilitary force, literally every liberal "democracy" does everything on this list every day. Come to think of it, damn near every government on the planet does most of this list on the regular. And as for 11, that's a myth. Most fascist states didn't disarm the citizenry, they disarmed specific people within the citizenry. There's a difference.
I get it, I'm an anarchist, and I think all governments are inherently oppressive. And I get that fascism is a little slippery and not very clear as far as a definition goes, but it isn't just doin stuff governments do. It has specific features and if you're actually interested in fighting it on a meaningful level it's useful to actually know what they are. This is literally just a list most of things most governments do as a matter of course and are worth fighting, but aren't features specific to fascist states. Seriously ya'll this kind of shit isn't really helping anyone. If we absolutely must make lists to define things, (Umberto Echo's)[http://www.openculture.com/2016/11/umberto-eco-makes-a-list-of-the-14-common-features-of-fascism.html] is far more useful and actually gets at the nuances of fascist states and organizations and the ways in which they differ from just standard government shit.
Can socialists stop parroting bourgeois propaganda. Do some reading, i suggest We are Cuba by Helen Yaffe
I personally dislike shake-awake red dots like the Sig Romeo 5 a lot of folks are recommending. If you're looking for a budget dot, I recommend Bushnell TRS 25. Never let me down and I've put it through hell on and AR and an AK. You can get it a little cheaper without the riser if you want.
Buy a weapon mounted light. Not an O-light. Be able to reliably pass a bill drill, have an IFAK in your car, and know how to use it before you consider carrying.
Lots of good advice in here already, and I'd like to suggest getting a belt to put a bunch of your stuff on.

Also if you're going to be able to make holes, find a stop the bleed course so you can plug holes, too.
Diagnosis is not the basis for anyone losing their right to a firearm. It is almost always a judicial process. If you haven't been declared incompetent or unfit to own guns by a judge, or been confined to a mental institution due to court order, you can buy one. That being said, if you don't trust yourself with one, I would recommend not getting one for defense. You could have a trusted person keep the gun for you if it were a hobby, but a paper weight in someone else's gun safe isn't going to help you defend yourself. The best thing you could do for self defense is likely Couch to 5K, better situational awareness, some sort of martial art, ideally one that spars/trains people for competition, and some non-lethal device like a taser, in roughly that order.
You can buy snap caps in pretty much any common caliber and not have to deal with empty chambers at all.22lr snap caps at Amazon
Here's the HL boom mic for anybody interested https://www.amazon.com/Connector-Earmuffs-Convert-Communicated-Headset/dp/B09T6G3JJ3 more options if you Google it, I haven't tried any of these yet but it's on the to do list.
If you want to learn more about Dominionism, read this book. It's a bit dated (written in 2007) but he accurately assessed the threat these people posed.
The dry fire regimens used by competitive shooters is the way to go for highly effective, low round count practice, that translates very well into all sorts of use cases.
Check out Practical Shooting Training. About $27 for a paper copy, although I'm sure there are communalized editions floating around in the aether, too. The various podcast series hosted and/or frequented by the authors tend to be wellsprings of information and fairly apolitical also.
If I were you, I'd get a romeo5 red dot. You'd want to mount it on the "upper" portion of your rifle, but you'd want to keep it behind where the free floating handguard attaches to it.
Note where it is attached on this example
Here is an amazon link to a romeo5, but I am not saying to get it from amazon. You can often find this on sale for $100.
https://www.amazon.com/Sig-Sauer-SOR50000-Romeo5-Compact/dp/B07T9GK7SR/
It is a decent entry level red dot sight that holds zero well, is pretty cheap, and has a long battery life, plus "shake awake"
I usually go with surplus ammo cans and desiccant packs, but that holds about 300 rounds in the .30 USGI cans. If you're looking to hold only 20-50 rounds, it'll be a little harder to recommend something, as most people are storing ammo, particularly old surplus ammo, en masse. You might look into buying a handful of containers like this, with desiccant stuffed in wherever it will fit. The number one thing really is climate control though. I took some 8mm Mauser that had sat in garages in the American South for a decade or two to the range once, and got 57 clicks out of 60 trigger pulls. Would have been upsetting if I hadn't gotten it for free.
High tops protect you from abrasion, and can offer limited protection from water or, with specialized super high boots, from animals like snakes. They do not offer any significant protect from sprains or breaks.
From this book which everyone should read. Seriously folks, you can buy it for like $4 used. Read it.
I mean this seriously, pick up a red rider bb gun and practice some fundimentals. Once you're feeling confident, work your way up to a true fire arm.

There is a really good book written about this. It's insane how common it was during this time. And surprisingly, the airline companies themselves were the ones who lobbied against things like metal detectors, etc. that would inconvenience passengers.
There are other ones on the market that are gun shaped. Maybe even more so than the Kimber one. I would even see the Kimber one as less likely to be mistaken for a real gun than some of these. <strong>Example here.</strong>
You may laugh at this but I bought thid super cheap red dot on Amazon. I have been using it on my AR for two years now. I zeroed it using a bore site. It has stayed true for me.
This reminds me of Umberto Eco's list of identifying features of fascism. His is a little more in-depth, but nonetheless equally applicable to the US
I'm also using Manjaro, but I've heard good things about EndeavourOS, an Arch-derivative that seems to address some of the popular issues with Manjaro and has a friendly community. It might be worth a look if you end up exploding Manjaro.
Full disclosure, I'm on this podcast so apologies in advance for self-promo, but you could give Astronomica a listen: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1424833/
It's a sci-fi RPG actual play podcast, so the politics aren't the main focus, but the action is pretty much us going from place to place blowing up corporate overlords and overthrowing dictators. As players we run the full political spectrum from communist to anarcho-communist.
My backpack usually has some first aid and meds, but I don't always carry it. I'm looking to build a medkit like Karl Kasarda's (skip to 11:10). I have one in my range bag, but would like to have a smaller one on my person sometime or all the time.
*I used to carry a Leatherman charge, but my dumb ass forgot to put it in my checked bag, brought it to an airport and didn't have time to mail it to myself before my plane departed. That thing came in handy. and lasted an abusive decade of daily carry. It did break once when camping while batoning firewood but was replaced for free. But it should have been confiscated well before then. I'd brought that thing to courthouses, amusement parks/concerts with metal detectors, the US National Archive... pretty astounding how easy it is to get a knife past security agents.
Try checking this list of VPNs page on PrivacyTools.io. I use one of the ones they list. Don't use free services, they have to make money somehow, and it is probably by selling your data.
If you're storing that many guns in individual locked cases you would probably be better off just getting a cheap gun safe. You are correct that safes can be expensive, but if you're just looking for a safe that will keep kids out of it then you can get one for under $300 on Amazon.
Maybe consider some audible / audio books. I'm listening to How Civil Wars Start and How to Stop Them right now. I think some of the other work in this area (It Could Happen Here) is pretty good, but this is a lady who's professionally studied civil wars for years and lays out the history of other ones, the likelihood of it in the states, and what that would look like.
I have an audible sub so it didn't cost me much but I think this is almost required reading today for anyone really interested in this topic.

Great advice with just a couple of additions-
Brave browser:
Is there any more info on the Signal compromise? The Cellebrite thing was kind of bs – if someone has physical acess to your unlocked phone and app, any kind of encryption is not going to be of much help.
There are valid concerns about the server side, tho. Some people prefer federated IM solutions, like Element (used to be Riot) over centralized ones, preventing some of that.
Anyways, the E2EE on Signal is pretty good and much better for both privacy and security than anything that comes from Facebook, Google, Apple and the likes.
Additional sources that provide more context?
Some discussion regarding Bloomberg's endorsement, including on r/Chomsky, continually point back to that image ; further evidence supporting this claim I have yet to find. Here's a short interaction referring directly to the so-called "endorsement", again not confirmed, just the stance on voting Democrat as a "lesser of two evils" however this choice is not substantially better.
There is an ongoing debate among the libertarian left on voting and whether it adheres to anarchist ideology, some outright against it, and some (such as myself) see it as harm reduction; supporting a candidate with platform policies that would benefit society the most. Bernie is not radical, extreme leftist that liberals, conservatives, and the right paints him to be; center-left at best, and among the establishment candidates he's certainly the most progressive
My range has 1 large paper with 5 targets and different drills on each target. 1. Draw and fire one time
Double tap.
slow fire one shot.
4-5. shoot each target once.
You could make your own or even try something like this for pistols.

I wouldn't. As others have said, you have other options. I personally EDC a kimber pepper blaster 2 when not carrying a gun. It's gun-shaped and feels like a subcompact, plus it has sights so you can actually aim. Been carrying one since I was 16 and working closing by myself in a rough area.
PepperBlaster II; Pepper Spray Gun (Gray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004MG63X6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_E32SFYF7PGEFFMRD12MA
I also hear good things about umarex's HD series, particularly the hdp. It's a co2 airgun in .50 cal, and it shoots either pepper rounds, or steel-core rubber rounds. They leave some nasty welts and would definitely break skin.
Last suggestion I promise. You may want to consider the Taser Pulse, basically a slightly smaller version of what the cops carry. They're expensive at $399 msrp, but it's still about handgun price.
I was joking. But if it helps, I did Google "small rifle safe" for the joke and this is what caught my eye for it.
i used this on some AK magazines i had worked great. warning it will remove paint should be fine on the steel bits of your rifle though. can be bought at any autoparts store. remove your rifle from the stock before using and note that it wont get all of it. you will notice some coming out of bits and pieces of the rifle after you've shot it.

I'd be interested in this. I was a 'lead' on Nextdoor.com when I lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm fairly new to the SRA (May) but have been pretty active here an in my local chapter. I check in on this sub nearly every day. Part of my master's degree in communication focused on conflict resolution and mediation (along with documentary studies).
This might interest you. It covers a ton of subjects and would prove invaluable in an environment where governmental functions and infrastructure are degraded.

no, a "chamber flag" is a red or orange flag that threads through the chamber to show at a glance that it's a condition 4 (completely unloaded) firearm.

Sorry about the double reply and also sorry about the Amazon link…but I just wanted to make sure this is the book you were talking about https://www.amazon.com/Motivational-Interviewing-Helping-People-Applications/dp/1609182278
The SRA is an umbrella group. Not everybody is a communist or a Marxist-Leninist. There are quite a lot of anarchists of various bents in the organization, including some post-leftists and egoists.
I'm not a communist. I don't agree with a lot of other people in the SRA on a lot of issues, but in the interest of advancing socialist ideologies, we all play nice (most of the time).
I'm sure that as you spend more time around leftists or in leftists groups, you'll either solidify your own beliefs and then you'll know you're not a good fit, or you'll have some conversation that'll sway your thinking. As long as you're not just being a jackhole and pushing authoritarian ideologies and initiating ad hominem attacks, I don't see why you couldn't share a space and ideas with socialists, especially if you're already onboard with a bunch of the ideas.
[Edit: Check out some of the materials available here. If you're a libertarian, you might find there's a lot of anarchist material you might actually agree with.]
A fair number have moved into a little decentralized/distributed platform that I use called Aether.
It's an excellent piece of technology, built to be democratically controlled. Would be a shame to see it completely populated by fascists.
Does anyone remember Pidgin?
They implemented a cool e2e encryption system that let you use e2e encryption with any chat protocol. The idea was that if you and the other person had the same client you could chat privately.
Kind of seems like having the separation is the way forward. Right now the reason why these systems are weak is that the client and the server are both managed by the same entity, whether it be signal or whatever.
AFAIK the only one that comes close to having something similar is Telegram, because the protocol is open source and there are a bunch of alternate clients for Telegram.
I carry a gun whenever it is legal. I have a CCL. But you can't carry all the time. I can't carry into work. Or school. Or the court house. I lock it in my car.|

I own one of these. Works great in an Upstate NY winter. Buy a little bigger because of the liner and whatever you might want to layer underneath.
Also that jacket just uses a a standard M-65 liner, so you could buy one separately. Rothco makes them.
I went with this along with this

For you or anyone else thinking along the same lines, I cannot recommend highly enough buying a 13/16" Pentagonal Socket which allows you to open the water utility covers and access the meters/valves to turn water on or off at an address. If a comrade gets their water shut off, help them out. If you're monkeywrenching/picketting a business, making them call the water company to send a guy out is a great way to non-destructively tie them up for a few hours or even days depending on how busy the water company guys are.
Especially because they do make hammers with small tool kits that fit in the handles.
I have this one that I got as part of a big load of tools from an estate sale. I threw it in my toolbag almost as an afterthought but dammit if it doesn't come in super handy a lot of the time.
I do use the Safariland holster as my personal favorite, but my Black Rhino/Guerilla Tactical is pretty nice for something budget friendlier.
As for you holster you could buy a drilling template like this and drill your current holster yourself.
And you would just put the UBL over your outer belt just like this
