If you're going to play it on PC, please follow my guide : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr4NncARD7s This guide is made for the first game but it works for Pandora Tomorrow aswell.
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell:_Pandora_Tomorrow - PS3 textures from the HD version for PC, better HUD, and also Widescreen fix (at Widescreen resolution section)
You'll have no problems playing all SC games on Surface Pro 4 even Blacklist (maybe not at the highest setting). I would start with older games, they are dirt cheap, still hold visually and gameplay vise and give you introduction to characters that you'll keep meeting in later games. Just use PC Wiki to get most out of each game visually.
There are tools to extract colours from a picture yes but it only gives you a base to start.
If you're looking for a quick tool to get color palettes from a picture I can recommand you this one : https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel
I can confirm the Steam version isn't patched. Go here and follow the instructions: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell:_Double_Agent
I suggest to use this website if you ever have issues for old games, they have the common issues and how to fix them. :)
You can follow a guide on this page to fix controller support for CT(along with some other stuff) https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell:_Chaos_Theory
As for blacklist, there's no controller fix I know of
There a def free rips of the game off pirate Bay with CD cracks just make sure you own the physical version though. There are many fixed for the PC version this link has instructions on how to fix the game to get it to work the way it was meant to be played. https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell:_Pandora_Tomorrow
Fix works fine so you can use that, or download the HD textures for the PS3 https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell:_Pandora_Tomorrow or you can find a copy of the original splinter cell ripped from an Xbox disc and run it in an Xbox emulator
There's also an official ~~fanfic~~ book releasing next year. Here's the summary:
"Veteran Fourth Echelon agent Sam Fisher has a new mission recruiting and training the next generation of Splinter Cell operatives for the NSA’s covert action division, including his daughter Sarah. But when a lethal assassin from Fisher’s past returns from the dead on a mission of murder, father and daughter are thrust into a race against time as a sinister threat to global security is revealed. A dangerous cyberwarfare technology known as Gordian Sword – capable of crashing airliners, destroying computer networks and plunging entire cities into darkness – is being auctioned off to whichever rogue state makes the highest bid. Sam and Sarah must call on their very singular set of skills to neutralize Gordian Sword and stop the weapon falling into the wrong hands – at any cost..."

I followed information on this page: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell
I'm currently on a playthrough enjoying it in widescreen with better anti-aliasing and with textures from the PS3 rerelease without a single issue.
The way I use ds4 with Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is like this: 1. Install DS4Windows (x86 for 32 bit windows and x64 for 64 bit) It makes the PC accept DS4 inputs as if they were of an Xbox 360/One controller 2. Install SCFix 3. Have DS4Windows running while playing the game, make sure you follow every step of the SCFix instruction. DS4 should work properly.
If you can't find the PC version, I would recommend playing it via a PS2 emulator. I've been playing it on an old laptop that's pretty crappy and it actually runs pretty great. I use an xbox 360 controller to play it, but you can also you a keyboard and mouse if that's how you prefer to play.
Depending on your country I'm quite certain that it is legal to emulate PS2 games if you use your own bios to run the game and actually own a physical copy of the game, but I'm not entirely sure.
The only things you need are:
The only other thing you need are your own bios to actually run the game. You can use your own (but that's a bit tricky) or you can easily find them online.
Hope this helps, but if you have any questions feel free to ask!
Yeah Hamachi (and other similar services) are kind of hit-and-miss sadly:(. Always remember that everyone should have their firewalls disabled.
I've had some luck with https://www.zerotier.com/ instead of Hamachi. Maybe try that out?
I have 2 different RGB ones. but here is the best RGB mousepad I have. Ive had it for about 6 months and have never had any issues with it.
I have the mini because it weighs less but the normal sized one is just as good.
I THINK it's any newer machine, as it's a hardware incompatibility. There might be unofficial patches out there, but I'm not aware of anything official from Ubisoft. You can try ordering a physical copy from Amazon to see if it will work!
You mean the somber, haunting music that plays before Fisher gets to the receptionist? Might not be an actual song, just some music the game's composer came up with that fit the tone of the scene. Here's a track listing of Conviction's soundtrack on Amazon, and you can sample each track. Nothing I found sounded familiar, though.
As an aside, I know Conviction gets hard time on this sub (I'm conflicted on my thoughts about it myself), but "Fisher, I used to work here" is maybe the most incredible line ever uttered by Sam.

There's a very basic spin-off for the Android and iOS named Theft Inc. by developer Rabbit Mountain.
It's an okay game and simulates Splinter Cell from the original three games.
The icon features a guy bearing an uncanny resemblance to Sam Fisher.
That's where I downloaded it from. Google play store, I just got a new phone last week so it wasn't installed. Maybe it stayed available because I have downloaded it in the past? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.splintercell.blacklist
