I'm waiting on this to come in from Amazon.co.uk. Same artwork, but it includes a gold coin and metal lobby card.

Personally I like both arts. I think the Best Buy one is gorgeous in hand, and I can't wait to get this one too.

Frustrating, for certain, but do keep in mind that Best Buy doesnt have control over how many are made, nor shipped, nor shortages on the part of the supplier.

When it comes to steelbooks once it’s been OOS for a short while it’s considered OOP. Usually you have preorder, release day, and a restock or two up to a month after (assuming it sold out initially) before it’s likely gone for good.

Here's the lazy Susan I'd definitely recommend with it. I just drilled holes in the bottom piece and screwed it on for better support. Took an extra 5 minutes.

The product I bought was somehow "discontinued" but this is pretty much it. it's the magnet sheet used for putting on cars. It was this sheet and large Command Strips.

After receiving the roll, I slapped it on my washing machine for a few hours to straighten it out and to "activate the magnet" (don't ask me why, but it was more magnetic after I stuck on there for a while). Then I cut it up into pieces and attached them to the wall with the Command Strips.

A few things to note: The magnet isn't strong but it can hold the Steelbooks. I had them in the plastic protectors and it didn't work through there so I had to take them out. They also don't work through some of the cardboard advertising backing so if they're still sealed (BR2049 as an example). Test them out first.

It's a pretty cheap set up but effective.

Always thought Steel books have the sickest box art so after seeing a few years ago someone wall mounted them I thought I’d do the same.

Discs labels are in french and the Blu-rays are region B, but the movies look great in 4k! Steelbooks are really nice, especially The Fog. Christine is still available on Best Buy's website for $24. I actually used magnetic sheets.

They have an adhesive side but I just stapled them to the wall using a thin caliber staple gun. To be honest I even cut those sheets in half and spaced them about a few inches apart. They are surprisingly strong and could hold more than 1 steelbook easily with half a sheet.

I have these magnet stripes. I used - 7cm (~2.75“) per Steelbook. I also hit them with a rubber mallet to stick them stronger to the wall but that‘s not necessary.

I can only recommend a display like this. It‘s truly special and looks great. Sure, I use these stripes with 2mm width but I‘m from Germany and they don‘t deliver outside of Germany from what I know.

If there aren't any creases or sharp hits in the metal this is a pretty easy fix I think. If there are then you'll need to get a dent repair kit like this. Take you time and don't try to go for perfection, but enough that you're happy with it. Perfection is the enemy of good with correcting dents on steelbooks. You'll often make it worse if you go too far.

I got Spinal Tap for a really decent price from Amazon UK - it's still only £8 and the Mad Max is the European version that doesn't have B&C but I think Zavvi's rerelease of that is still available, it has a very cool finish from what I read. I would've probably bought Zavvi's if I hadn't just gotten the 3D one.

Welcome! I open all my steels simply they look to good to be covered by j.cards and stickers from the retailers. Also digital codes and the discs are inside and most movies I have steelbooks of I enjoy watching again. Very few of mine are still wrapped.

I put mine in plastic sleeves/bags (very cheap but definitely not most elegant option) I got on amazon but am currently looking in hard plastic options. retro protection seems to have some good ones.

If you buy multiple editions of the same title it’s gonna come down to how much you like the different editions and what your wallet says. I for example thinking about getting another blade runner 2049 just bc of the design and also replaced my kingsman steelbook for a newly released design and sold my previous one.

When you start looking at premium retailers (like manta labs or blu fans) you should check if it’s a WEA (world exclusive art - only available from one retailer) or WWA (world wide art - available from multiple retailers). They usually release 3 or 4 versions that mainly differ by the (Lenticular)slipcover and which format is inside (4K/2D/3D/digital). They also release a “1-click” that’s all versions of one release combined. So most often 3/4 times the same steelbook with 3 different slipcovers (of course there are always exceptions). The best chance to get one of those premium releases is through group buys in various forums (here on reddit, highdefninja, mediapsychos,...).

I used double sided sticky pads on the corners to hold in place and then nail tacks to secure them. Mounted horizontally you can stick 2 DVD sized steel books together on one panel.

It’s a unikeep cartridge case. They are great you can put all your carts in them for easy access rather than digging through your games. That one is for the PlayStation vita but they also make em for the switch too, I have 2 for the switch

I know switch steels are crazy expensive and hard too find sometimes. I bought two more today ministery of broadcast and links awakening.

I know the padding looks terrible behind them. I need to finish the collection so I can hide it. If anyone is interested I used THIS for the frame as those dimensions fit EXACTLY 16 steelbooks and then I cut up and (as you can see) jacked up sticking on THESE adhesive magnet sheets. I am sure it will look much better when complete. The air bubbles are driving me crazy until then.

I’m using these magnets and cutting them into pieces that are 3 inches tall and 1 inch wide. Then I use this Gorilla mounting tape and place two 1x1 strips onto the back of the magnet.

Amazon UK just put some up for preorder and I was able to get one for 72 USD. 20 bucks cheaper than on amazon Germany.
