Bihar School of Yoga publishes a great translation of the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, and also prints the Saundarya Lahari, though my copy is from a different publisher. Enmesh yourself with some of the different works from BSY publications, as has been suggested by other posters. I really enjoyed Yoga Chudamani Upanishad. It has an excellent discourse on the occult symbology of chakras and is indispensable for those looking to improve their ability to harness the power of their own kundalini.

but unfortunately the best way that is tailored to you and your partner is self discovery, but with the internet is easier than ever. Be prepared to sort out what isnt right for you, go slowly and with intention good luck

Unfortunately, most books on tantric sex are garbage, for the reasons you describe as well as others.

The people who replied recommended websites and articles, but only one book:

• Urban Tantra, by Barbara Carrellas.

It's a classic. It confronted and rejected the homophobic ideas imported into modern Western tantra from Taoist sources.

I hope our readers can come up with more good suggestions.

This probably isn't the place to get the best answers for this sort of inquiry. But I'll give you my perspective in brief:

Regardless of whether there is a mutual attraction, there's a huge breach of ethics for a practitioner to engage in a relationship with clients aside from/outside of their practice. It's also important to have clear communication around it, in case there is any ambiguity.

My instructors said that their school insists on waiting a year from the last session before attempting a relationship with the client.

The reasons it's problematic are multifaceted, but include things such as dynamics of power and money. There's also the subject of the reason you went to get massage in the first place.

Ultimately, there aren't any police for this sort of thing, though. I think the best option is to have a candid conversation, and if a relationship were to happen, be aware of the dynamics that might create problems.
