All of this aligns with everything else they have said. The only thing that is outstanding is whether or not the planted acreage exists, and if not, that means it was lies every step of the way from Andy DeFrancesco.
That would've been $25 million that was created out of paper shares from SCYB, and given to Marigold (who wasDelavaco Caribbean Ventures_). Then Marigold/Delavaco Caribbean Ventures can just off-load their shares for cash.
The thing I believe we need clarity on is why the name change. Was it because these companies weren't incorporated and they didn't have paperwork? So Andy steps in and makes them official, puts their assets on paper, and then skims off the top. Part me me thinks that can't possibly make sense....I dont' know.....this one is tough to just erase.
Thought I'd attempt to give myself a smile on this dreary sector stock day. (Oh um, excluding the regulations that were released, it appears they're pretty damn good overall.)
Anyhow, instead of a smile I am left scratching my head. Is someone playing games with Aphria?

I’m not 100%, but I was looking in to this before because I was worried about my call options. From what I read about a company paying an entity as a dividend, it said the value of the security would be adjusted accordingly. So if Aph was trading at $15 and then paid out the value of NUU (perceived to be $3) as a dividend to holders as it becomes APH int’l, then the call option would value APH ($15-$3=$12) plus NUU $3, for a total of $15 where you originally were. What I don’t know, however, is how to value NUU if it gets absorbed by a third entity (SCYB for example). That’s where I’m unsure.

Heineken just entered the cannabis beverage space.
In California no less. Things are about to get interesting in the US, I’m curious how the DEA will respond to a global company making moves? This isn’t some local startup
Caution, it is a Motley Fool article, but it’s decent for their free content

Dusted off The Intelligent Investor from my bookshelf and gave it some re-reading after today’s events. To quote Isaac Newton’s mega loss in stocks - "I could calculate the motions of the heavenly bodies, but not the madness of the people.”
What the heck happened today? I pulled out some large positions in anticipation for a red day. My long plays such as APH and TRST remain.
And if you want to stroll around cannabis events showing your fine analysis.... here is the place to order the Concert Shirt

Under A Responsible Approach...
> In response to the national cannabis supply shortage, the government implemented a temporary cap of up to 25 retail store authorizations. These brick‐and‐mortar retail cannabis stores were permitted to begin opening on April 1, 2019. However, the government remains committed to moving towards an open allocation of licences where the number of stores is limited only by market demand.
You can take that as good to a point that they are committed to that, but that's govt speak for we aren't currently in an open licence environment.
So what's holding us back from this open licence market? Oh the federal supply shortage of course.
Under chapter 1, a plan for the people, which basically covers their approach to allowing the storefront market to build out, they have a call out to the federal government to fix the national cannabis supply shortage. This is emphasized with a yellow text header and a blue background. This is formatting speak for 'Hey! this is not our fault!'
The Cannabis Counsel commented in the mjbiz article,
> The Cannabis Council of Canada, an industry trade group, praised the government’s action Wednesday, calling it “a strong signal to the legal cannabis industry in Ontario.”
> However, the Council urged the government “to immediately announce a timeline for retail expansion in the province.”
I guess they have to praise any improvements. Hopefully, their urging is listened to, but yet Ontario is still blaming the fed government for any supply shortages.
I know the fed has let provinces basically 'run as they will' with cannabis, but when a province is pointing to the fed minister of finance for any issues, I would expect a response, but I won't hold my breath.
I'd like to know when exactly this letter was written. Glad Blue's contributions are already part of the conversation.
That tweet is a fair statement about Bitcoin. I have found no reason, yet, to invest in it myself but I love what it represents. The basic “unit” can be so many things, I’m looking forward to what kinds of infrastructure is able to support the value we prescribe them.
I find any type of engineering fascinating, yet the math beyond any fact of life is beyond me. I get by through very simple applications of n+1.
Teleb’s Incerto Im getting through the audio books and biking a lot...Indoors of course!
