This gif really sums up me, I think. Which sucks, considering I no longer live in a place where rainfall is plentiful and clean. It's when I sadly remember that that I put on Rainy Mood in the background and let it play all day ♥
I think the best thing to do is check a few vacation sites like that, check Groupon (look!), try to piece something together separately just on airline and hotel websites, and compare all the prices. It takes a bit of time, but it can be worth it in savings.
Thanks. Here I have the FitBit Flex...it helps you track your steps, sleep, with the app you can track food, water etc....gives you an idea of calories burned and taken in etc...they have different types. We also get together and do competitions etc....
[Becca,] (/u/allergictoapples) I found you a thing on amazon.

We're watching Someone I Touched, the 1975 classic featuring a young Cloris Leachman! A woman learns that her husband has been unfaithful and he has acquired a venereal disease. Doesn't that sound fun? It's available for free on Amazon Prime.

I'm reading a few right now:
The boys are playing the Alaska State Fair, so I decided to book my flight up a day early and do a me-cation in Anchorage, try and see some bears-n-shit, hike, etc. I should buy bear mace.
I'm getting a little overwhelmed at all the stuff I want to do in the short amount of time I have. I was going to stay at an AirBNB about 45 minutes north of the city and just trust Uber/Lyft, since the AirBNB was located near some hiking trails I could walk to, but the more I fell in love with things in the city, the more I realized I needed to rent a car (WHICH IS EXPENSIVE IN ALASKA WTF?) and do the tourist thing.
So far my me-cation includes:
An early morning stop at 24-hour coffee shop to get a cup of coffee for the sunrise, since my plane lands at 4AM.
A hike around one of several trails I have picked out - probably Kincaid Trail just because of how accessible it would be - also bear sightings. I should get bear mace.
Shopping at The Anchorage Market Festival which I'll just happen to be in town for while it's open. Woo!
A trip to the Alaskan Wildlife Center to meet local animals like BABY MOOSE, GUYS. BABY. MOOSE.
Also MUSK OX. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MUSK OX IN PERSON? I HAVEN'T.
I should buy bear mace.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY GIVEAWAY has been extended till March 31^st.
You will need launcher to download the game but you can play game without it.

Hey, /u/terciopelo can you tell me what exactly pirates blood smells like? Is it sweet and intoxicating? Dark and musky?
Dearest /u/szor, as we both have these testing strips on our lists, I'd like to take a moment to gripe about the cost of fish-tank supplies in pet stores. Why can't they price match amazon? Would it kill them to knock off a few dollars? Don't they want our underwater friends to stay happy and healthy? Get with the program, PetSmart and PetCo!
I just bought myself a Harry Potter moleskin notebook. I don't need it, but I've been coveting it, and it had £5 off. Destiny, thy name is Amazon.
wow, can't believe i'm the bottom of the barrel O.o
ok, so important info about me:

Ok...hockey game was awesome...and we got our Ovi bobbleheads hahahah....too funny. Managed to do over 21k steps too! I now only have 7.7 pounds to go to my goal! I am happy! .... Today will be a lighter day at the gym though... I get to freeze my butt off heading in to W's work to pick up my car...then to the gym. I'd rather stay in bed today!!!!
Ooohhhh and other excitement! My colours exchange gift should arrive tomorrow!!!!! Yay!!! I can't wait!!!!
Can someone please tell winter to go away. Thank you.
I can recommend coursera - I liked it quite a bit.
MIT is also good, and Khan Academy is great for math/science, not so much for other things. I also dig Harvard's e-learning initiative.
found a seller on amazon that seems to good to be true, all their items are 8.99 + 5.54 shipping..... like this
i dont know if its worth the risk but i think i might try in January when i get paid next
Boo-urns. This is frustrating. I feel like a lot of you are yarn people, so maybe you can help me. I'm looking for something like this, as in something that has multiple colors/shades in one purchase, but with all of them being earth tones, shades of white, gray, cream, brown, etc. Is there anywhere online (doesn't have to be on Amazon) you could recommend I go to?

Don't feel bad though - I'm terrible at the formatting - unlike /u/FredWampy, THE MASTER of formatting for coolness.

I can't be 100% certain on this, but here's my guess:
You might be able to sell it, as long as none of the stuff you're using is covered by copyright (the clipart might be). A lot of those things have rules for how they can be used when selling. You would also need to license your stuff before selling, as anyone who gets it after you could go on and sell it, and you would be powerless because there's no rights on it (check out CreativeCommons.)
As for your other question, about locking the file, you can kind of do that in older versions, and you can't really do that at all in newer versions. You can use the "mark as final" feature in PowerPoint so that people will get a warning message about editing it, but that doesn't actually stop them from doing it. You could also choose to distribute a PowerPoint Show (pps file), but anyone can just use the "open" feature of PowerPoint to open the file, and then save it as a .pptx.
Long story short, for as great of an idea as it is, I don't think there is a very good way to safely and securely monetize this, as it is too easy to change/redistribute, and may have legal issues.
My favourite thread is back, here it is!

~~Nothing reminds me of America like the Statue of Liberty and watching fireworks~~
I was going to add a cross stitch book that I have been wanting but didn't see on Amazon -- I did just find it on Etsy. This Precious Moments cross stitch book reminds me of America because the military helped make America what it is today and helps protects what we have.
Do you have any Asian beaty stores near you, or will you be ordering from amazon?
Definitely start with sheet masks! I recommend tonymoly, innisfree, and etude house to start with. Snail, rose, ginseng and tea tree are all amazing. This (and the hydrolic acid one by the same company) is a great sleep pack.
Dear Amazon,
Thank you for never letting me down. I was just searching for "percussive massagers" for my stupid, always knotted up neck (seriously) and you come up with this. You're forever hilarious, yet scary, all rolled into one amaz(ing) package.
Faithfully,
Blanche
I collect Peanuts stuff, so I have a bunch of those ornaments in my Peanuts wish list on Amazon. I've been coveting this one for quite some time. Schroeder is my favorite Peanuts character!
Thanks for the contest!
I'm in need of cookware. Pots and pans I suppose. I'm SUPER tired of having one of every brand spanning the last 20 years with no lids just floating around here. What's a decent brand that isn't going to run me $200 for stainless steel? I'm not a fan of teflon even without it being potentially toxic to my birds.
Recommendations? I like amazon, walmart, target, and kohls.
does copper bottoms make a difference?
I'm not /u/pyroglass, but I use one of those anti-static brushes you can get off Amazon. It supposedly cleans the grooves of the records better than a micro-fiber cloth. I usually use both. First the cloth for the "heavier" dust or such, then finish it off with the brush :)
Or you could just buy the vinyl washer... (yes such a thing exists). I've never cleaned my with and liquids. Too scared it'd harm the records.
The record can also be warped or scratched. Or maybe the weight on the arm that holds the cartridge/stylus needs to be adjusted? When I first got my record player the weight was too "back heavy" so the stylus would sometimes hover over the record for just a very brief moment but just enough for the stylus to jump out of the groove and do a little skip.
I have this one in my DVD wishlist on Amazon... such a beautiful movie in so many ways! I love the animation, and the story is great.
Thanks for the contest!
You can order it on Amazon. It's basically ketchup and mayo mixed.
/u/abby89
I bought a smaller pack from Walmart or Walgreens, I can't remember which. It didn't have as many colors, though (no grey, orange, light blue, or either green). This larger pack came from Amazon.
Edit: It looks as though Amazon has an even larger pack!
Can you be a nerd in metal music? If so, then I am. Collect stuff, own books, watch a lot of documentaries, listen to it, trying to play it, and even dabbling in corpse paints.
I have a ton of patches on Etsy.
/u/carrieisonfire is a hardcore Artistocat nerd. She ~~hoards~~ collects Marie cats. She has one on her list too.
Normally I share pictures of my dog, but I’ll switch it up and introduce you all to algernon . He is a uromastyx. When I worked at a pet store he was there as a baby, malnourished, barely holding on to live. Everyday I’d sit it the back cradling him, force feeding him “lizard mush” out of a syringe. He amazingly survived and was back for sale. Many were interested but I refused all of them because I didn’t think they could comment the amount of care he’ll need: very hot heat lamps on all the time, special diet, 50 year life expectancy... I saved up the money and bought him myself. I learned he liked to dance on the glass to music. And watch my roommate’s dog. He would be really noisy at night until I’d take him out and let him snuggle underneath my chin as I read my book until he fell asleep. He is 10 now. My husband likes his cage in the lower level, so I don’t see him as often. I miss our close connection. And feel very guilty that I don’t think he gets the love and attention he deserves. Maybe once we get our bigger house I’ll have him where I can be with him more.
TLDR: my love story with a lizard

7 wonders is my favorite game!
I like how there's multiple ways to victory and it's always fun and quick for a game with that much depth.
Seasons is also a good game too.
Just a touch of Christmas. The basement and diningroom trees and my main tree in the livingroom, with a couple of close ups. I need to take better photos with my camera.
These are just a couple from my phone. We also have lit and decorated garlands under the window and on the stair railing...not to mention all kinds of other decorations all over the place and a tree in the bedroom.
Good Evening. It is 11 o' clock, and this is u/xokolatl with tonight's' news update for Channel Zero News in the Greater r/Wishlist area. Boy, Diane, was it ever a scorcher! Much work was done by many citizens of r/Wishlist today, and many naps were also enjoyed, I've no doubt. Our reporter, me, was on the scene earlier today and shot live footage of the Pizza lunch he enjoyed before delving back into his historical research for money scam he has going with a noted University. Please be advised, the footage is graphic in nature and may not be suitable for people who have not yet had dinner. [Film for 11 o'clock] We hope you enjoyed tonight's broadcast, and we'll see you next time! Good night r/Wishlist!
How about soul music?
What's Going On is a classic protest song, and soul music has a huge amount of political history. It's not classically political, but was the background to the civil rights movement in the US.
You could also use examples like A Change is Going to Come.
Good luck!
That'd definitely be this one which I did in college. https://www.behance.net/gallery/17306737/Nature .
I was super proud of it, especially the first creation of the 3. It came out exactly how I wanted which is rare, and I also still like it after a year which is also rare for me. Thanks for asking about it!
Just registered the little one for Cub Scouts last night so I'll be volunteering with his Pack provided he sticks with it. It's a little selfish of me but I really want to do all the outdoor activities so I see this as a pretty social program. I just hope the little guy likes it!
I donate blood/platelets fairly regularly. I know blood banks sell the product but really, it doesn't cost me anything other than a bit of time and until we learn to mass produce synthetic blood products there's a need for it. I've had relatives require massive transfusions so I give back when I can.
In college I was active in the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. It has roots in Scouting so it makes sense that I'd continue there. I like the community service aspect of the program and I realize that is something missing from my adult life.
When I was near Boston, I used to do a program with Everybody Wins! Metro Boston where we'd go once a week and read to elementary kids. My employer was super cool and sanctioned a group of us going each week. Literacy is important, yo!
Now that I don't have as much time/opportunity to provide manhours to organizations I tend to provide financial contributions to DonorsChoose. Education was stressed as very important in our household when we were kids and I think it is important that schools and teachers receive supplemental funding when allocated budgets don't meet the needs of the classroom.

I can only find one of my gloves. I've been doing without this year and keeping my hands in my pockets, but it would be nice to have a new pair. It's freezing here!
So, I have a thermometer already, but it's awful, slow, and not very efficient. It does the job, but it could use replacing. On my kitchen WL is a new meat thermometer that would be really helpful in my kitchen endeavors. I prefer the black one, but any color would be okay!!

Yeah. It's a bug obviously, and 343 is looking into it, but a lot of people have been having these sorts of issues unfortunately. I mean, just look at the state of their support forum (which is their only means of support, annoyingly). I don't think I've seen them respond to more than a handful of people too.
If you haven't read Amazon's service terms thoroughly...
I highly recommend reading section 57.10
>57.10 Acceptable Use; Safety-Critical Systems. Your use of the Lumberyard Materials must comply with the AWS Acceptable Use Policy. The Lumberyard Materials are not intended for use with life-critical or safety-critical systems, such as use in operation of medical equipment, automated transportation systems, autonomous vehicles, aircraft or air traffic control, nuclear facilities, manned spacecraft, or military use in connection with live combat. Happy cakeday! I recently got this shirt for my bird loving mom :) Its sassy like my mom!
Whaat. Is it? Oh, shoot, I guess I should find a games store to go to, too!
Studying abroad, that must be really neat! Do you like where you are?
If you can't find a game and have the desire, there's always Roll20 or vicariously playing through Critical Role!
I just always say.....I am going to live until I die...never waste a moment, there is always something to smile about, no matter how rough things seem. Plus...I get to deal with this bum every day!
Spring needs to get here! Hope your day gets brighter soon!
As far as the bonus goes, I'm picking this picture of a quote because I don't think the word disability or the idea of a disability should define a person.
From the master himself, Alan Watts.
Furthermore, since depression is disabling in a multitude of ways, another Alan quote to inspire perspective and self-growth.
People who have disabilities are people too!
In my case it is more on the playing side. I love playing video games, and I mean I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEeeeee playing videos games, and it keeps my hands busy, but I also love playing/tinkering with coputers and to see how they work. Starting next mont, me and a friend are going to study together at cybrary.it
It makes me so happy when I get notifications about old bands going back on tour. There's an app called bandsintown that keeps me up to date when a band will be nearby.
Is that not the cutest thing you've seen all day?! I can't take credit for it, though. I found it here
I, uh, gave up on physical journals altogether and ended up using an online service called Notion as a note-taking slash bullet journalling place. I can't use pretty pictures or washi tapes and such, but hey it sort of works!
Loving it so far! It also easy to put together gorgeous picture galleries--super handy to keep references for drawing/crafts.
I think this is a good item to have on your list. It’s on mine cause I’m a 50 yo f and my skin can use all the help it can get 😂
Edit fixing link
Welcome back! You should definitely get these pens. They are different colors and can be used for drawing, note-taking or journaling.
I got the same stuff for my knee the physical therapist used on my hand. Its called cica care silicone gel sheet, its washable, reusable, and you can cut pieces about 1/2" larger than the scar area. Its hypoallergenic.
Super Soft Silky yarn made of bamboo fibers. Bamboo is the most awesome thing on earth LOL I love Bamboo!
According to my tracking number, the planner I bought should arrive today! I picked up AdamJK's Unsolicited Advice planner and I plan (heh) to use it as a journal as well as a standard planner. He doesn't have them on his site anymore but there are some left on Amazon if you want to take a look, because the photos will explain it better than I could :]
i LOLed at this one
I just added a lotion with lidocaine to my list last night because my pain gets astronomical when I am taking prednisone but I never want to spend money on myself to help fix it. It's a problem. Any help with relief would be amazing!!
Here is my wishlist and I am summoning u/Noimnotsally
I’m so excited for my 2021 planner! I settled on the legendary planner because I want a smaller, more weekly based goal planner. I don’t have a lot of meetings or appointments so hourly daily pages are useless for me.
I have an adorable Christmas tortoise decoration on my Etsy wishlist that I would love to adorn my tree or the new Liz Climo book from Amazon, her drawings always make me smile.
However if you'd like to pick something as a surprise I'd be more than grateful.
Thanks for the contest ❤️
Just one that I can think of. Bought the Gotham Steel pan from amazon. It's pretty awesome.
Pet lover pro-tip!
Have any of you tried the pet water fountains? I have tried a few and really hate the plastic ones. For one, they are plastic. Two, the design is always such that they really need to be washed daily because they clog with pet fur really badly. Three, not easy to get in the dishwasher (some you can't get in the dishwasher at all).
A couple of months ago I can across this fountain on Amazon and decided to try it. And it's amazing! It's a really simple design so it goes together and comes apart in minutes. The design is such that it does not clog with pet fur the way the original ones did. And it goes in the dishwasher easily.
Highly recommend to my fellow pet lovers!

I'd be happy with anything from my amazon wishlist since I need most of it for my upcoming vacation. The insoles are a pretty high need since mine are giving out and we plan on walking all over creation. I have plantar faciitis and they help. However, we could also really use these salts to soak after a day in the fun sun.
Also what side and realm do you play on? I just moved to alliance on Stormrage. The log in queues are fabulous
I have this in my Bath & Body wishlist on Amazon. I have a lot of issues with my feet getting really dried out and I've heard it works wonders!
Thanks for the contest!

It is. They are doing a special screening in some cities as well as have a Special 30th Anniversary Gift Set. I'm so excited!
My favourite office supply is either my Pentel Superb pens or my post-it dispenser.
I have a Thing To Do pad. I could not do my job without it. I have a terrible memory but work as a PA so I need it to be able to list like a motherfucker.
I survive office hours thanks to the good people at Amazon Prime Music and with the glory of coffee.
I adore that movie... I unfortunately didn't see it for the first time until I was in my 20s, but I've watched it many times over since then. My favorite scene is the Bog of Eternal Stench... I die laughing every time!
I have this book in my books wishlist on Amazon. It looks super fun! I also have a bunch of the Labyrinth Funko Pops in my Funko list, but those are a bit pricier.
Thanks for the contest!
This sounds great! I just added it to my Books list on Amazon.
If you haven't read it yet, The Night Circus is one of the best books I've read this year. I read it a couple months ago and still catch myself thinking about it! I know a lot of people have read it, though, so another good one I've read this year is Most Wanted.
Thanks for the contest!
They sell them on Amazon! here idk about shipping or whatnot but its Prime! :)
Oh no! Did you manage to escape the sickness? Hopefully yes, it doesn't look like you need more hassle right now does it lol.
You should DEF do comfort shopping!! All my love to whoever invented shopping lol. I ended up buying a lace hoodie and some sexy outfit to please the boyfriend, he deserves good treatment haha.
Hopefully you will recover soon! Must be sooo bothering for you right now. I have never had crutches or actually never broken anything, I have been fairly lucky, touch wood... now see me tomorrow falling off the stairs or something LOL.
I gotta go to Italy at least once a year or my parents will get offended haha. I like going there and seeing all my friends, it's just the actual trip to the airport and then plane that I hate. I love travelling, just not the part in between! I have to remember to buy that chocolate I told you... oh my god I can't wait. Which choc from UK did you buy?
And that would be great if you visited Europe! Do you have any idea what countries you want to travel to? There are some amazing places to go to.
Those bath bombs looks SOOOOO CUTE!!!!! I actually found something similar from Amazon UK not long ago: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00PH5TR3Y/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=ZH78OR3D6DKF&coliid=I2TQL2AKG89WR7
I think I will be buying those. Although it is just such a pity to see them melting away in the bath haha. One day I also want to try one of those that have a little surprise inside, but I think they are a bit more expensive.
How did you end up breaking your foot anyway? It looks so painful! :(
I never think purple without thinking Ursula! She's in my Funko wishlist on Amazon.
I'm currently eating my yogurt with a fork because I forgot to bring a spoon from home and a fork was all I could find... does that count as a third thing? ;)
I have these glitter bingo daubers in my Crafts/Hobbies wishlist on Amazon. Because I mean, if you're going to play bingo, you might as well do it with style!
Thanks for the contest!
I have a lot of stuff on my Food/Snacks wishlist on Amazon that you just can't get in the US without ordering it online, but these have me really intrigued. I love anything that's a combination of chocolate and cherry!
Admittedly I'm not very well-versed in Pokemon, but I caught my first Teddiursa in Pokemon Go a couple days ago and squealed over how cute it was, so I'll go with that being my favorite.
Thanks for the contest!
I have this mug in my Peanuts wishlist on Amazon. I collect Peanuts stuff and don't have anything like this one... I love Snoopy and his typewriter!
Thanks for the contest!
Penguins are awesome!
I have this cute little guy in my Collectibles list on Amazon. Thanks for the contest! :-)
No ma'am, Pam! No cable required. If you have amazon you're good to go!
$24.99 in SD, $29.99 in HD. Worth every penny. They post the episodes overnight, so you can't watch it right when it airs, but given that it's Friday now I'd probably be watching them Saturday morning anyway.
Or the Brazilian Twink is always an option, if you can stand his commentary.
I have a massive books list on Amazon... this one really intrigues me and it sells for like $4 used, which I'm totally fine with. :-)
Thanks for the contest!
One time, four or five years ago, I was in a discount store in a town half an hour or so from where I live, just browsing. They had a big book section, so of course that was where I gravitated. I found a single copy of this on a bottom shelf. It was brand new, still wrapped in cellophane, and there was no price tag on it. I figured I'd take it up to the register and ask what the price was... thinking it was probably more than I was willing to pay for it.
I got up there, asked what the price was, the cashier scanned it... nothing came up. She tried several times, then tried looking it up manually in their system. Eventually she called a manager, who also tried to look it up manually with no luck. He was like "It's probably worth more, but how does 5 bucks sound?"
You may notice in that Amazon link that it costs a little more than 5 bucks on there... LOL. It's a beautiful book, too!
