I'm really happy with this center console insert I got off of amazon. Nice having a place for spare change, it makes the center console more useable. It fits in perfectly, looks like it came from factory.
Edit: fits '18 and '19

I bought this little thing off of Amazon for my 2016. It works fantastic for my coin needs! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074GR9P9Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought a magnetic closet LED with a proximity sensor and mounted it under the cargo cover bar. It makes the trunk significantly brighter than with the stock trunk light. Only downside is that the light needs to be recharged (via usb cable) every once in a while, and stuff moving around in the trunk may trigger it. I think its a pretty good solution for $20!

This is all DIY. Snagged these LED bolts off Amazon and just tapped into the wiring for the existing cargo light. Ran everything along the cabling into the hatch, drilled a pair of 7/16" holes for the lights, and hooked everything up.
EDIT: link formatting
Co-sign the dog hammock. We went with this one on Amazon and we’re pleasantly surprised. Keeps all dirt/sand away from the floor areas (although we have weathertech already) and has the ability to unzip one side for a single passenger.
We rarely have passengers so it works great for us!
You can Google or Amazon t style hood loops it kayak hood loops, like this:
Shoreline Marine Propel hood Trunk tie-Down Loops https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CRBXQUK/
I've used Thule before with no issues. Basically you hold the strap or rest it outside the hood and back and have the black plastic piece under the hood and then close it. The black plastic piece orevents it from coming out from under the hood and you can set it on either side if the hood and same with the back.
I literally bought the same car on Saturday and am loving it. The eyesight has made my commute something to look forward to.
As for add ons, I'm keeping it simple at first and ordered cup holder inserts with orange trim off Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/Custom-Holder-Accessories-Impreza-Crosstrek/dp/B078NZ28YQ
Did you name him yet? My guy is Otto
I can only answer #3 so far.
I'm really anti-nav when it comes to cars. I actively turn down car choices that have included nav. The second you buy the car, the nav is outdated (some may be updatable, but I doubt all are). It's usually atrocious UI too, slow, and has no traffic support.
These '18 crosstreks have android auto and carplay support. Use those for your nav. If you didn't know, you can download large swathes of maps to your phone (on my android, in G maps, go to settings > offline areas). Before any trips, download large area surrounding your journey. You can set them to auto-update as well.
Then if you lose coverage, you'll still have your maps+gps to get you there. You'll only lose traffic support that it didn't download prior to you losing connection.
Note: I haven't tried or researched how well this works with CarPlay. I assume CarPlay forces Apple Maps and I don't know if they have offline map feature.
All '18 XVs have android auto/carplay. '17s and below do not. Also a lot of the competition do not have it. So if this is interesting to you now, consider looking for cars that have it. Alternatively, you can still mount your phone on a vent or the windshield and use android auto right on your phone. I did that with my last car which has no screen.

Here's the easiest thing you can do to improve the sound - buy the kicker tweeters that are super easy plug n play to replace. You can get them on amazon for less than $90 shipped. Here's a video that explains how easy it is to replace them:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CR2m24IgII
If you are interested in replacing the door speakers, there's lots of options too. Just about any 5 1/4" speaker will do. I've replaced mine with some Polk DXI651's and while the sound is definitely better, it's lacking on the bottom end bass, even more so than the stock speakers. The stock speakers were just sloppy though when it comes to bass. My plan next is to add on an underseat subwoofer to make up the difference.
I DID buy an attachment - but I didn't even look - it takes a regular plug - I don't know if it takes only 2 prong or 3 prong (I can check in the morning) but I was pleasantly surprised.
Also Sorry - not a Queen, it's a TWIN :(
Here is the exact one I ordered on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PLM54Q/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
SSD lightbar and amazon special LED lights.
They're plenty bright, but they don't really make great driving lights. It's hard to focus LEDs as well as a halogen beam, so they act more as flood lights. Gonna relocate my plate soon and throw some pencil beams in the center, so I have some good throw and also good flood on the sides and top.
I got 5m of door guard off Amazon and it was enough for 4 doors and then a good bit of the hatchback. Installed easily with a rubber mallet. Love it.
Current list of mods:
-Rokblokz mud guard
-Door guards and magnetic handle protectors
-Interior LED upgrades, license plate lighting as well
-Drilled and installed a LED in the top of the trunk looking down on the trunk for more lighting
-Front faux-bully bar light mount with LED spotlights
-Silicon cup holder protectors
-300w inverter in the center console
-all weather floor liners (Subaru, they suck. Will upgrade)
-Trunk organizer
I am sure it is vulnerable. I don't think car manufacturers are really worried too much about this right now. But I would not worry too much about someone stealing your Subaru with this technique. If the thieves are advanced enough to be using a system like that they are probably going after high end vehicles.
Here is a decently rated pouch on Amazon, it comes with 2. I feel like it kind of negates the point of the key-less entry system though. Sure it will protect it while you are in the house but if you are out and about you are going to have to take the key out anyway to unlock and start the vehicle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GDD35GH

I used to work at a print shop and would install decals all the time. I’m very happy with the quality of the vinyl and cut of Rosie Decals!
Honestly, I'd just opt for something like this
The can be had for like $10 at Walmart. We've used them for years with RVs/trailers and loading motorcycles in the bed of my truck. They fold up to take almost zero room, and you can move it to where ever you need - in the case of that ladder, if you needed to grab something from the front of the rack, you wouldn't be able to without moving everything that was behind it and dragging it to the back.
Just something to consider.
I have this one and it works great in my 2013. The slits for wheel wells are perfect and you don’t NEED something under the headrest although, you might as well suv air mattress
Crosstrek's don't have a lot (If any) sound insulation. Just tap on the outer door shells and it sounds like your tapping on an empty metal drum. A nice weekend project would be installing sound deadening mats inside some of those panels.
This is great! I recommend window socks to allow you to crack the windows for ventilation without bugs and bonus it provides extra privacy. I also bought one of these: Napier Sportz Cove 61000 Easy Setup Small Midsize SUV Tailgate Shade Awning Tent https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MUEGMLR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_TQ4SJ6PPFHMAFP2B78K4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
How did you deal with the dreaded “bump” where the back seat hinges?
Of course! It’s the Sport Rack 2-bike rack locking. I found it on sale for like $170 when i bought it. Both wheels have a Velcro strap for extra security. I wouldn’t recommend it for a bike with a carbon frame, but mine is aluminum - so no complaints whatsoever. I’ve taken it up to Whistler with no issues (2:15 hours drive)

At the time I was able to buy a wire harness with it. Just a standard 12v kit will work. I got the kit with a switch so it’s not hard wired into any lights. But I extended the wires myself to tuck it near the spare tire and ran it down the driver side under the plastics and into the drivers side door and up the fender using existing wire plugs(holes where rubber grommets let wires through).

I have a very similar one from Amazon and it's the best. the only thing you have to be careful of is if you use a leash extender thing to lock your dog into place, fur and dirt will get in through that hole in the velcro area. Easy enough to vacuum up though.

Edit: whoa! The price went down.
Thanks! I still need to add lacquer to, hopefully, prevent the paint from coming off when I put something on the crossbars. I got them from Amazon. AUXMART Roof Rack Cross Bars for Subaru XV Crossstrek 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 Subaru Impreza 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016-150LBS / 68KG Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBPANBZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4TRFBbEHSS9T5
I tried using squared crossbars from a previous car and they were loud as hell when driving.
Congrats on the new Trek! 🤘
That's awesome! For those who do not have access to a 3D printer, I purchased mine on on Amazon for only $15.
I've had these kayak racks for about 4 years, so no, they are not manufacturer (which I think is Thule). I had them on a '14 Outback until last month.
I looked up the big-name brands at the time and was blown away by the price for a basic rack - not any of those with an elevator system or anything - $100+ was insane, I thought. The way I looked at it was a kayak rack is actually very simple construction. Bent steel with some foam and a mounting bracket system. So I looked on Amazon and found a pair for something like $25 shipped.

The shape that the camps are molded to doesn't fit the exact shape of the crossbar, but this does not hinder them from being safely tightened. When cranked tight, it has no slippage whatsoever. And I test with a few tugs every time I use them. Great price, great purchase, would recommend 100%.

This is the exact same product I purchased. Note the price was about $25 at the time, and has gone up. You might be able to find cheaper, or even a double set for around this same price. All the top Amazon products in the category all look to be the exact same thing.

If you take the coordinates to Champion Lodgepole from AllTrails (where it says the trail is is) it sends you up this road. We made it past this point and I was like “are you sure this is right?” And sure enough, it was not correct. Always double check your husbands work is the moral of the story.
How do you like the front loader, any issue with thread stripping on the main bolt? Almost got that but went with Thule pro ride https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPo7ZMq4uhA-nFS3v37Sb5bNUwLM-kO39xFn3pSa-MTF6BaqisCwt4HMwFVfZ-ZCw?key=M0tsOEtFUVhLUkNBZjRwRGkyTnhmRGRxazZCZ29n
haven't had a chance to check it out yet but gold belt tour is suppposed to be easy and for stock vehicles.
I also use the Alltrails site and app to find new trails for driving and hiking.
Edit: I just investigated and it DOES have limited abilities. Here's a 2020 manual. Go to page 217 for voice controls: https://www.joomag.com/Frontend/WebService/downloadPDF.php?UID=0216109001573143510
Bought mine brand new on May 13, 2015 and I still haven't replaced the battery in my key fob.
Edit: I just found in my owner's manual under "Maintenance and service/Battery replacement" this section: Battery Replacement Timing: The access key/transmitter battery may be discharged under the following conditions. • The operation of the keyless access function is unstable. • The operating distance of the remote keyless entry system is unstable. • The access key/transmitter does not operate properly when used within the standard distance.
Replace battery with a new one. (I laughed at that sentence. I mean, duh.)

What had you been doing for your fan setup? We bought two of these suction cup mini fans:
Battery Operated Kitchen Fan with... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TBF4HDN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
They run off of rechargeable batteries, but they won’t last through the night on full blast. So we bought 2 - 6ft charging cables and a Jackery 300 (I believe) to power them throughout the night. Last night was our first time using the Jackery and it still said 87-89% left after 8 hours of use. I’m super impressed. The dog’s fan is different, it hangs and can sit on a table and has an LED. I love some features but wish it was stronger. May be getting something different. We have another Jackery and that one only used 3% and that was running 1 fan for 9 hours, the light for 2 of that, and charging two iPhones from 50% battery life.

Hey OP, just a suggestion but you migh look into these for tying down your kayaks. It might save your paint and the stress on the front fascia. I use them, they're pretty bomber.
Edit: just saw you're getting some, disregard.
I have a Curt class 3 trailer hitch with 2” receiver. I ordered it on Amazon and installed myself.
Yeah i’m still getting it figured right, but i’m 6’2” and can make it work. I got this sleeping pad which is slim and decently comfortable but also has not deflated on me overnight yet. I’ll lay the seats down and lay with my head looking up at the tailgate window and push the front seats up a bit. Then i’ll fill the area between the back seats and the front seats with all my camping crap to kinda give support to the feet area of the sleeping pad. I also got these window screens to go over the windows so i can keep them down and keep the bugs out at night
The basket itself doesnt make much noise (when empty), i’ve noticed, the light bar is the noisier part and i’ve put some door trim on the cooling fins which helps a little.
I think the basket isnt too bad because i mounted it as far back as possible
I have these
Nice quality, good price, easy to install and use, etc. And they lock for what it's worth...not that someone with a drill couldn't take them but still a good deterrent.
MAXXHAUL 50250 Hitch Mount 2-Arm Style 4 Bike Rack (amazon)
This is mounted to my Torklift Ecohitch Stealth (Torklift Central)
Can't beat the bike carrier for the price, the cradles for the bike top tubes are soft and secure. Everything assembled easily, and the parts are high quality. Have not had any problems with either the hitch or the carrier.
I won't give my opinion on how it looks with the doors off, but I have a good solution for your mirrors conundrum.
Get some SMK ditch light brackets, then it should be pretty easy to get some mirrors mounted. I'd look at something like this.
I used Magnetic mounts for my light bar from amazon:

I ended up wiring the button through the door wiring, and not the firewall because of such a tight squeeze. i’ll send more pics if needed!
They are not Thule. They are these. Perfectly stable and excellently priced. Super easy to install as well.
He's a corgi. I put this cover back there (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C73S3YX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_A205G1S1CVKQRGWM91HB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) and a bed in the back for him and then clipped his harness into the seatbelt that's back there but he wanders too much and that belt is so long he can all the way to the front seat with it still attached!
The back cover also isn't very high so im considering buying a cage wall to keep him contained back there but that doesn't fix the restraint issue. If we crash he'll be swiss cheese hitting that grate.

the backs do NOT require removal. Order a 90 degree Screw driver for 8 bucks on amazon
and get a small ratchet with 8mm socket. Took me 15 minutes to do the backs this way. No need to complicate it more then it needs to be haha.
ok awesome. yeah the sound deadening doesn’t make a huge difference, but it is noticeably quieter on the highway and the stock speakers’ sound seemed to improve a bit. (i plan to do the rear doors and trunk floor/trunk lid, and i anticipate a greater reduction of road noise at that point).
here is the link
you’ll need to buy a roller similar to this one.
having never done it before, it took me about 4 hours to do both front doors. but the 2nd door only took about an hour once i got the hang of it. i’d be happy to PM you pics of the progress if you’d like.
if you are in the US/North America those holes may be the wrong distance apart. You need a plate adapter or you need to drill the bumper.
If you aren't in the US you need the inserts /u/Dacktid mentioned and they are called well nuts.
Well nuts that should fit are 10x24x3/8" and the screws to match. You can look up license plate delete hardware and that size to find some or visit your local hardware store.
If you get a set of crossbars you could pretty easily mount one kayak and one bicycle with the right mounts. Nothing truly universal, but the beauty of the crossbars is you can change out the mounts for something else.
I don't carry a bicycle on mine, but these are the kayak mounts I bought.
Linked below is the item you're referring to. It's a light bar / pod mount for the license plate. It is pre-drilled to fit any standard plate screws. I have not had the chance to wire any lights to it yet, but I can make a post once that is done! I do wonder, though, if it can support much weight since it is only utilizing the two factory screws. Hope this helps my friend.
Coated it in truck bed liner spray and used silicon caulk where the two halves of the rack meet to keep water out.
It's the Nilight 42" curved bar
Haven't had any issues because I got a tube of window glass sealer and went around the edges after I ensured all the screws were tight. Silicone works too, but the glass sealer is thinner and gets into more places. I've done this to all of my past LED bars and haven't had any issues with condensation.
Also, happy cake day!
I am using one from Amazon that was specifically for my year. It’s unavailable but you should be able to find one pretty easy.
This is the one I’m using.
Been using it for over two years and it’s held up nicely even after someone backed into me.
I haven't installed them yet, but I got the Subaru Aero Crossbars on Amazon for $144 and a generic ski/snowboard rack for $89.

It's 15,000 lumens, and it is bright. Holy hell it is bright (for the money). I'll have to take a picture tonight for an example. Below is the light on Amazon.

It's a 20" cheap light bar from Amazon. I mounted it by drilling one hole in each bumper support (bottom inside the bumper cover and supports the front bottom lip. Two plastic pieces that stick out.) perfect height and enough added light.

I did a bit of research, but the good ones were out of my budget. I bought a 12" one on Amazon for a decent price and haven't had any issues in the last 6 months. Comes with everything you need for plug and play.

Sure. This is what it looks like: https://www.reddit.com/r/XVcrosstrek/comments/64u476/touchup_paint/dg57tnx/
You can get it on Amazon too, just make sure to choose the right color: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Subaru-J361SFJ000-Touch-Up-Metallic/dp/B00PV6PVTI/ref=sr_1_1?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1494958301&sr=8-1&keywords=subaru+touch+up+paint&refinements=p_85%3A1
It comes with a sanding tip to prepare the surface (I found that adding a little WD-40 helps to scrape off the rust), paint + paint brush, and a clearcoat + brush. Great little all-in-one kit with OK results.
I bought cheap knock-offs from Amazon for about $100. 37"-39" for the rear and 41"-43" for the front. The front ones ended up being a little too long to slide back much further. I can't comment on wind noise because I haven't driven it without the basket, which is loud as hell without a wind fairing. http://i.imgur.com/0OgNCsJ.jpg
Album here. http://imgur.com/a/RAH4j
A minor issue I wasn't entirely happy with is that on the 2016 Premium the climate control knobs position just isn't very visible. So I saw these rings on Amazon which sorta match the color of the car which goes over them. On the stock knobs there's only a 1/8th inch square or so indicator of where the knob is pointing. It's better at night when it's lit up, but in the daytime at a glance I couldn't easily see it. At first I didn't think those rings would help. But then I got the idea to get some silver paint and paint a strip on them. Results, the painting didn't come out perfect, but the visibility is improved.
I go camping and hiking a ton so I got these seat covers which allow me to quickly put them on or take them off...I use them all the time. (super cheap as well)
For the front seats ($20 each) https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GDGGC6A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For the back seats ($15) - BTW it fits my 2018 Crosstrek just fine while still having the holes for the seat belts (the middle seat takes a little finagling but its still accessible). https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QHC02EY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you look on Amazon as well there are also some overlays for the rear compartment hatch area, but I have yet to buy one.
I went with this Inno rack. It's very wide so if you have a lot to carry it could be good. But, the mounting points are actually wider than the bars and I ended up clamping down on the mounting clamps of my aero bars (also Amazon knockoffs, not sure if the stock ones have the same sizing on the clamps). It worked fine, just spent extra time making sure it was attached well. The hardware that came with them had extra long bolts allowing it to mount securely. Handled driving up to NH and back without an issue. All around pretty happy with them, though I'll admit the attachment point isn't the prettiest looking like ones with proper aero bar clamps/straps.
Edit: I'll add, my choice was mostly based on necessity, I didn't decide to get these until 3 days before I was leaving on my trip so had to go with what was available on prime.
Bought the horns off of Amazon then I used some extra wire and fixtures that were laying around the garage! I'll put a link to the horn set I bought. But this is my 2016 crosstrek that's I've owned for about two months and I love it! since you asked (and then deleted) if I was sure I got the plus model, I went through my Amazon order history and found what I bought.
They are the plus model, and they don't work for me at all.
The K&N VF2055 would solve your problem quite nicely. It's $45 on Amazon so it would pay for itself after 3 or 4 cleanings.
I’d just hit up amazon or google with your paint code and buy the Subaru brand touch up paint. I keep a bottle in my glove box.
https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Subaru-Satin-White-Pearl/dp/B007QECJ4I
That’s two bottles but I think that’s what you need.
The OEM bars stretch out and in a bit, so it's a question of rail shape. I don't know about the shape, but the rails are similarly priced for the most part. Hit up subaruonlineparts and follow the tree down to the 2019 'trek. About $160

I live in California so yes it is. I don’t know about other states so if you’re not in california, you’re going to have to check for yourself. However, my amber delete is only on the front “eyelids” where light doesn’t really emit so i guess that a grey area in terms of legality.

Maybe called a splash guard? Everywhere I look online though it is mostly referenced as a mud flap but I can’t find OEM parts: https://www.amazon.com/RokBlokz-Flaps-2018-Subaru-Crosstrek/dp/B077XQN18G
I went with the Sport. Picked it up this morning. I picked Sport because I didn't want leather seats and I like the aestheic touches. The yellow stitching doesn't bother me and the Startex seats are actually REALLY nice. I was worried they would be too light of a gray but they are a lot darker in person than in pics. I don't like the yellow steering wheel but I found this on Amazon that should solve that issue.
I used a 20$ one from amazon. It has pretty good reviews and its been pretty sturdy. I hope this link works. Nilight Led Light Bar Mounting Bracket Front License Plate Frame Bracket License Plate Mounting Bracket Holder for Off-Road Lights LED Work Lamps Lighting Bars,2 Years Warranty
The basket is Maxxhaul and the bars are CargoLoc, both good options on Amazon and not too expensive.

I got the lights from amazon (see below). I had to splice in some 22-4 wire because the wire that comes with the lights is not long enough.

No idea what those bars are, but I have the one below on my OEM cross bars and I love it. Looks great, large and 1/3 the price of some other brands

I recently bought the Brightlines Aero bars from amazon. They look exactly the same as the OEM version. They sit lower to the car and have less curvature than the OEM. I only had them for a month and I have yet to find a single issue with them.
Bars:

For a bike rack, I just use a hitch mounted Nash Bar sit-in rack. For the money its nice, but there are multiple issues with the rack and how it’s designed so I don’t recommend it.

There's an expensive tpms tool to do it. I bought it thinking I may use it enough. (I havent). But basically the front drivers side wheel was this number. I made the new one the same number. Its pretty self explanatory with it all sitting in front of you. I used the Autel 501. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LRJ7UD2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you’re not feeling like replacing the entire housing for 250+. There are some great options out there for led bulbs in all different colors I’m currently running SEALIGHT H11 H8 H16 Fog Light... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087TKXK38?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is a great and affordable option to get some improvement over stock halogens without totally breaking the bank. If you’re wanting crazy output, brightness, the best look possible, and you don’t mind forking out the extra money than diode dynamic ss3s all day just like everyone else is recommending. Good luck!
So when I was debating on the lift I originally was gonna go with ADF 1.5 Economy Lift Kit
However when I talked to the the shop that did my lift they suggested going with Readylift 1.5 SST
It's hard to gauge because there are few people that post updates after they gotten there lift and their experiences. However the ones that have on reddit and other forums seems to suggest that the lift is okay.
You got me worried now so I'll make sure to report back in 6-8 months however I'm not your average driver I work from home and really only use the car locally and at distance on the weekend.
Auto Start Stop A-Off... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZXZ3KXK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Can confirm, works for 2022 crosstrek sport and many others. $30 and five minutes later the default will be off and the button press will be on. Just plug it into an empty fuse plug of 15amp or greater.
This has worked flawlessly for 6 months for me, it wont charge it but you can a wireless charger for that if you want to not bother plugging anything in.

Just a PSA to everyone on the fence about getting the >$100 auto start stop eliminator often shared in this subreddit, there's now a way cheaper alternative that does not require you to open up the eyesight area. I found this on amazon for the Forester but I can confirm works with the crosstrek: https://www.amazon.com/Disable-Eliminator-Canceller-Compatible-Forester/dp/B09ZXZ3KXK/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2HR100QI40F5O&keywords=subaru+auto+start+stop+eliminator&qid=1667960022&sprefix=subaru+auto+st%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-2#customerReviews
Again, read above comment about air compressors. That's a $350 kit here. Don't recommend air compressors for filling tires, it's a waste of time and money as a 12V Tire inflator is only $15 and doesn't have to fill and purge.
Losing .2 - .6 psi a day for 6 months averages a 9.6 psi lost. Filling tires in cold climates like mine can cause your valve stems to rust and break. I can get my tires filled with nitrogen here for $65, which is the same cost as one valve stem plus labour.
Were in different parts of the world here, what applies to you doesn't necessarily apply to me. What applies to me doesn't necessarily apply to you.
I know what airs made of, hence my joke of suffocating without free air. xD
I'm thinking to pick up a Bearing Puller

I purchased the backseat cover for my Crosstrek Sport from Amazon; excellent product/material and it fits great. It also came with 2 doggie seatbelts, as a bonus. Here’s the link; happy shopping! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YHQNFVL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
oem crossbars + these racks from Amazon.
these racks come with ratchet straps, but I have a few good cam straps I use instead. works great!
I have a Gen 2 and the link you provided is what I have for my 2018.
I saw a few option for knob trim when I ordered mine and this is one.

I've had pretty good success with my air mattress. I got this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XX9HC9C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share it came with a small pump, flat repair kit, and a storage bag. It inflates in sections so the bottom section can be deflated with the hatch door closed. The real issue I have is that with seats scooted forward, there is a huge gap between the seats. I found coolers to bridge this gap but they take up their own room in the back during travel.
