Starting out you don't really need any of that stuff.
Venues will have all the PA equipment you need, they should have mics, cables, speakers to the crowd, and speakers that you guys can hear yourselves in (monitors). None of that is guaranteed but if a venue doesn't at least have this stuff it's not really worth playing.
If you want to get a little fancy and use in-ears, your best bet starting off is to get some cheap but functional sets with FOAM TIPS. These can be found on Amazon for like $30-40. They won't sound great but they will sound good enough that you guys can hear yourselves which is all that matters at this point. You'll probably need to get little in-ear packs to go with them which will adapt the amplified signal from the venue's sound board to your in-ears.
I would recommend skipping the in ear stuff for now and instead spending a bit of money on some quality ear protection and tuning pedals for everyone in the band. Not those little clip-on snarks, but decent little in-line pedals that mute the signal and can be seen easily in the dark.
For occasional "special" gigs (i.e. where we get paid more than normal) we bought a dozen or two cowbells like this on Amazon and passed them out to the crowd immediately before we play "Honky Tonk Women". The bells are $1 each and barely last the song, which is perfect.
Audience reaction has been great, but we also wait until everyone's liquored up. Also, our drummer's own cowbell is miked, so we can turn his up to avoid the inevitable poor timing that the crowd introduces. We really play it up - have the audience "practice", really ham up the demonstration, etc.
Alternatively, we've done the same thing with just a single audience member - if it's their birthday, reason for the gig, etc.
This is a live take demo of a tune we're working on for our new EP. I'd like to hear some thoughts on it. The mix is going to be rough, I spent all of 30 seconds on it. I'm more interested in a critique of the performance and the tune.
That's pretty on point. Making a website is mission critical, and not that hard. I also recommend that people take a little time to learn some basic HTML and CSS so that you can make small changes if your website theme isn't exactly what you're looking for.
Code Academy is a great place to start. You can learn the basics in a few hours.
If you have more time, there's some great free courses on Udemy that go into more depth, but those tend to require more time.
Also, for the record Always set up your domain to auto renew! If you don't someone will come and buy it when it expires and they'll try to charge you hundreds of dollars if not more to get it back.
I guess I'm first, but as a note everyone should listen to the song in the original post.
here's my band's soundcloud. Happy listening yall, looking forward to hearing everyone's tracks.
Man, you should have been in my band some of my favorites were:
Hearos High Fidelity earplugs: https://www.amazon.com/Comfortable-Protection-Professional-Cancelling-Motorcyclists/dp/B000V9PKZA/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1HD6O9Q4NBBP2&dchild=1&keywords=hearos+high+fidelity+ear+plugs&qid=1597276247&sprefix=hearos+high%2Caps%2C185&sr=8-3
Fantastic, used them for years before getting IEMs.
Wireless? Never going to happen under $100 for anything of quality. Cheapest I could suggest is get one smartphone with an app like Tempo with the setlist, and run it out to a headphone splitter like this Then you can either run cables (which I know you don't want) or get something like these for everyone and some in ear headphones.
Thank you for your reply, nothappyaboutit.
I developed an app called "AL Voice Recorder", which can be found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andlabs.vr
When you say flexible ways of sorting the files, do you have something like "sort by date" or "sort by name" in mind or are you thinking about something like a folder or tag system? Regarding the easy search feature: Is it something like a search bar for searching your local recordings that you have in mind, or is it something different?
Ones that rack-mount are called "fans". This one here is a stagebox/snake form factor. Both do the same thing; one set of inputs go to the house, the other to your IEM rig.

Mind you, most of this isn't really even visible; I just selected it all so you'd get more valuable information than what I could see on the page itself.
Rock/Metal. Influences/music are pretty diverse, think Sonic Youth, Zappa, Melvins. We're on hiatus at the moment while the guitarist finishes college/internships so we should be back at it in another month or so.
I guess I’ll go first (criticism wanted). This is just a rough demo of a song I recorded for my band. I did it through garage band on my phone through my phone mic. So it’s not perfect. Drums and bass are programmed (until we actually get enough money to buy real recording equipment and guitar and vocals are me. Hope you like it
GENRE: METAL
A song I wrote for my band. This is a rough demo. The guitar is real (me) but the drums and bass are programmed. Here it is untitled song
If you guys like it I’ll make my other song demo public so you can listen

Here's tab for all of the actual instruments in the song. I doubt anyone here will do too much for you, but hopefully this can help you transpose what you want. :)
You want something with DMX control, and a DMX controller. You can start out with some cheap LED stage lights. They've gotten super cheap. You can get 4 of them for under $100 on amazon. These also come with a remote if you want to do some basic stuff like change them all to red or strobes for a song. It's not the best, but having 2-4 of these is a huge upgrade over nothing or just ambient lighting even if you put the lights on random or music mode.
For more advanced programming, get a DMX controller. You'll probably want to upgrade eventually and get some more sophisticated lights. You can also synchronize DMX with midi information and/or backing tracks if you want to do a whole lot of programming in advance instead of hiring a light guy.
Yes capturing voice, for example live streaming and Podcasting. I have been looking into buying this: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0002KZAKS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TtWlFbBSNNDV3 In combination with this https://m.thomann.de/de/behringer_u_phoria_um2.htm?utm_source=idealo&utm_medium=psm&utm_campaign=idealode&offid=1&affid=229&subid=idealode Is the Blue Yeti USB or XLR? Because some people have told me that I should use xlr over usb.
I'd look around for a used "all in one" type monitor speaker. Lots of them have 2 inputs, and an output to add an additional (active) speaker if needed.
If you have more than 1 vocal, pickup a small/cheap 2-4 channel mixer.
I use Ableton and was thinking of buying a Enttec DMXIS 70570, a Chauvet DMX-4LED 4-Channel Dimmer Pack, and a handful of strung lights, so they can dim and brighten automatically in time with the music. gotta find that max patch I had that converted track volume to midicc tho...
Oooh! I'd recommend Likable Social Media as well. It's a great way to re-think ways of engaging with your audience online.
The Martin Atkins books are great. And Martin is a friggin' hilarious individual.
