I've since lost the links from when I dug around ages ago, I'll see if I can find anything now.
elevator music plays
edit- okay, this should be enough for anyone else to find more about him:
He also went by the name "Big Cheez" and "Benjamin Feltes", he was also part of a group called "fishrocks", you might hear some familiar songs here:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=374428&content=music (uploaded here in 2005, Jenkees opened his Youtube channel in 2006)
'hold tha phone' is the same as the Ronald Jenkees song 'Derty'
'one day at a time' is Ronald's track 'Neptune'
'remix to a christian' is Ronald's track 'Remix To A Remix'
'I still believe' ~~should also be familiar to anyone who has heard his songs, but I can't quite remember what Ronald called that track~~ is Ronald's track 'Loui', thank's /u/pyreon
I really like his flow but that wasn't his own beat. It was made by this guy http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=441063 . Not that he said in the video that it was his, someone could else may have titled it. Just giving credit where credit is due.
Good stuff though.
I looked on the other producers' twitter and they put the beat on this website in May last year and you put your beat on youtube in June of last year. So what's up with that?
I've never heard of him. His Twitter says he's the founder of "Mums against moms," and a Google search for that just shows results for mothers being against a bunch of stuff, but not themselves. The Twitter account also links to some site where he sells music (presumably his own). Googling Megazone and his name both lead to people that aren't him.
Yeah seriously. I am really happy that they at least remade froggin bullfish because, well, its a really awesome song.
edit: link so people can see how awesome it is http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=6088412&q=hi&newref=1
but if the shit you make sucks, who cares that it's original? you are not remotely talented, and should shut up until you're done being shitty as a producer.
edit: I challenge everyone reading this to find a single track that doesn't suck balls - http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1226011
This is a delightful exposition! I am fascinated by the whole subject but especially by the musical application. It's curious that this exposition chose a major third as the illustration. It's the perfect fifth (3/2) that really drives musical scales. (3/2)^12 is close to 2^7. That's why there are 12 notes in an octave.
Push the continued fraction another couple steps to get (3/2)^53 ~ 2^31. So you can divide an octave into 53 parts to get very precise perfect fifths. Here is some algorithmic music in that scale: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=784761&songID=9240263
While not the typical thing I hear (obviously, this is a plodding, bass-heavy track compared to what I described), I think this best captures one instance.
Thanks for your interest!
I just realized that I didn't make a post for my equipment. I used an '89 MIJ Strat with Lollar Blackface pickups on 4th or 5th position with the volume rolled back to about a five and a half. I plugged into a Pod HD and recorded directly from it via USB.
The POD was setup with a fairly high gain JCM 800 patch put together by Franzel from The Gear Page. He was one of the players that convinced me to pick up a Pod HD. If you have one, immediately, go download his patches and give them a shot. If you are curious, he uploaded a bunch of samples to Sound Cloud.
In retrospect, I wish I had cranked it up and gone a little more balls out.
I wouldn't call him a GOAT but I always praise Tonedeff as the best rapper and lyricist I've ever heard in hip-hop and he's pretty unknown. Vakill is incredible although I wouldn't praise him that highly and he's even less known. Louis Logic is one of my favorites as well.
None of them are super unknown though, I did find this guy ascetic who does his style incredibly well and there's probably less than 1000 people who know who he is.
How about "Fake Rock song", "Born to rock", "Rock the Town", "Rock Guitars", "Rock from a tube" or "Hard rocking man"
You can find them from the song licensing list easily:

Bit of a different situation:
When I'm manic, I write songs like this.
When I'm depressed, if I can, I write songs like this. Note how it's almost all samples, even though I played guitar and bass professionally for years.
And this one came shortly after a psychotic episode, in an attempt to capture a tiny bit of the experience.
They are from Denmark.
This Youtube channel seems to be affiliated with them:

in their video section there are a couple of live songs.
Maybe you can try to contact them through there.

Slightly Inane Question:
Any chance of a UHF sequel? Or getting it picked up by HBO for a series Game of Thrones style?
Less Inane Question:
What would be the best/most productive way to help my father's music get heard? Make a youtube video? Wander back and do something with MySpace? Does harassing local radio do anything lately with the mega-nationwide stations?
Context:
Your music is some of the most memorable that my father raised us on and the new album is going to help keep that tradition with my own children. After watching the first video, my oldest son and wandered through your older videos and those that were imitated. While doing so he asked if grandpa had any music videos.
My father is a folk singer who teaches music at the elementery school level too pass the time. He is getting a name for himself from the sheet music he's been making for his students, but I know deep down he would prefer that it be for his music.
So I am looking for ways I can help him with that. Not so much what a google search would turn up but advice on a good direction you would recommend.
If you get a chance to take a listen. My Bomb Shelter (La Bamba Parody)
Tried to see if he had any of his change-one-word parodies on this soundclick thing he uses but I don't see any.
So I've been looking for rappers with really complex rhyme schemes because I realize that's the thing I really dig and I found this random guy on soundclick that blew my mind. Now I have to warn you guys, the vast majority of you will NOT like this at all. But if you are a huge fan of Immortal Technique, Necro, Jedi Mind Tricks, Army of the Pharaohs, etc then you will love this guy. He's clearly heavily influenced by Violent By Design era JMT but his rhyming is among the most insane I've ever heard and he just takes that whole "lyrical spiritual miracle and I'm gonna namedrop esoteric references" style to the next level.
Preview of his lyrics:
aggression death and murder are my existential purpose I’m draining your remains after de-vesting your epidermis then your flesh is sent to burn in Heaphestos’ epic furnace,
a deadly vengeful sentinel that’s bent on fencing Hermes to prevent men apprehending
his messages of learning, hearken to the evil confessions of a hermit,
infesting the fountain of Bethesda with pestilent vermin so instead of healing your disease it’ll leave your intestines burning
Gonna be honest, not sure if that's Max posting the songs or not, but whoever it is has been doing it since 2003. I remember listening to their older stuff in high school on SoundClick and now I'm a really old person and the site is still up.
>I understand that it is a little off topic, but still I would like to know more about what you think of Piracy.
Sure. My name is Tim Mitchell. I have been in the entertainment industry for my entire adult life. I have over 30 appearances as a panelist on the TV show Mental Engineering, there is a Doug Stanhope bit about me on YouTube, etc.
Here is my Soundclick page with some more background info and a bunch of more recent songs I've done.
Please pirate the shit out of me.
Something a little more ambient
Fuck it here's all 311 of my songs (on that account)
Edit: A lot of those were produced in less than 24 hours for mixing practice

I really like GFS's cheap and cheerful Fatbody neck pickup. Really clear sounding - more like a Strat neck than a Tele neck pickup. Roll down your volume a bit (assuming you don't have a treble bleed circuit) and it is pure tele, turn it up and you get closer to a strat.
I can't recommend any of their Tele bridge pickups, though... just don't like them. Zhangbucker winds some nice bridge pickups - the Paul Bunyan is really nice. Here's a sample (definitely not me).
Found it! Only took a bit of digging. Called "Taste" by Best Kept Secret, they're actually credited in the liner notes and they have an ad for Compton on their website.
Looks like some of the sites they link to are still active today.
Was able to find some Fyre tracks. Not sure if any of these are unreleased.
> we have recorded 14 albums. Each Fyre member has at least 5 solo albums, for a total of 45-50 albums total. So we don't have time to play live very often, but would be receptive to it.
Need to hear the 5 mxlplx solo albums.
I'll just throw this one out there since it looks like it's a new release (might have been played within the past two months since it's a Christmas song, but not the famous Rudolph song, no idea who or what this is but it has a 60's sound) - I Don't Want To Spoil Christmas - American Lesley Jane?
Why Cue produced Out The Hood (his tag is at the start of the song), Talen Ted produced Thank You Based God, I think Clams said in his Red Bull interview that he did "I'm The Devil" also, but I am not 100% sure who did BOR, I'm Burning or Pretty Boy Muzik.
Anarchist folksinger David Rovics has a powerful song telling the story of My Lai and of Hugh Thompson's heroism: The Ballad of Hugh Thompson
Kalmah was one of my favorites when I first got into Metal. I recorded a cover of Hades (without keyboards or vocals) when I was like 17, fairly rough but close enough. Link
But see, that is what makes you an artist far beyond the common mold! Because you would insist that there be almost no repetition! If and when you work up the courage to try your hand as such a project, know that you have my full support (however little the support of one fan may be).
And I do really appreciate your older stuff! It's all great music. If anypony aside from Makkon sees this message right here, I would suggest you go to Tindeck and download the rest of his awesome music!
Also this isn't very fair to ask a second question, but, have you ever heard of a composer called Denny Schneidemesser? He's an independent composer, and also composes masterful music. You can find his music here, if you're interested and haven't heard of him.
There's tons of them. One that never seems to get mentioned though is DZK.
The guy's a beast, very versatile and entertaining. He just gives his music out for free and doesn't even try to get famous. Probably why so many have never heard of him.
I think Scott Henderson is probably the ultimate Jazz/Rock fusion player, one of my favorites in the genre.
If you like more shredding (i.e., jazz shredding), you should listen to Alan Holdsworth and Frank Gambale. They're very "legato", lots of tapping, lots of sweeps and arpeggios, etc.
I also like John Scofield - he's more of a traditional player who likes to dabble in some funk/rock. I absolutely love his sound and style, in particular because it's less cheesy than the above guitarists.
Mike Stern likes to rock out sometimes. He's one of my favorites too (and plays most Wednesdays at a local bar in NYC.)
Joey Goldstein is not that well known, but used to be my Guitar teacher (nearly 10 years ago), and he's a mean fusion player. That soundclick page has some great tracks.
I put your album on my phone and I'm listening to it as we speak and most of what I'm about to say has already been said.
You have good flow, but your vocals are quite monotone and it's difficult to understand what you say due to the double tracking. Either lower the double track to practically nothing, or do away with it altogether.
You need some help with Chorus' work. You have an interesting flow with your words, and your voice, it works for you. But you need to work on the things listed below that chalkfacedgoon covered.
It's good overall though.
Who does your beat production? I used to do production/rapping myself, I was never good at it, but I enjoyed it. I have a ton of random crap on my old soundclick that I haven't touched in forever. http://www.soundclick.com/strictproductions if you want to take a look for any insight you may have on me?
Good luck, brother.
I recorded this track a while back, mainly using my 3DS and the Korg DS10 DS cart.
I also used Reaper to record it, as another user suggested you try here. I've been recording and mixing music since the analog days, and it's definitely worth the download unless you're already using Pro Tools.

these guys? the release date says 2005.
though i don't think they sound very emo, more metal than punk
This guy is a complete unknown. I have listened to amateur songwriters and tiny indie bands for many years, and mostly I have to say they dont stick out as anything special
This guy does stick out though "LMK" http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=177102
listen to the song "Full moon over london"
Its got elements of crowded house. I love his music!
other top songs are "promises" and "At the borderline"
Not much he sat at a folding table wearing his shitty oakleys while - maybe a couple thousand people crammed in elbow to asshole for about 2 hours waiting to get his autograph. I was one of the last few to get an autograph and my friend (a teenager at the time mind you) bawled his eyes out over not getting a photo signed. This was at his height which always surprised me that he would show up at a rinky dink mall but money talks right?... Also D-Generation X has stopped in at our gas station back in the day and a million other random people have stopped through as we were on a major highway from Chicago to Quad Cities.
Ironically I've learned recently a friend of mine who played in bands in the Davenport area - Five Star Sequel - is actually cousins with Seth Rollins - small world huh?...
Hi there..
I have instrumental site at:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1277008
But also a vocal site:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=678627
My songs with vocals might not be bees knees but I let people use my music for free..
Aw, thanks.
This is kind of my musical scrapbook. I don't share it that often, because there are a lot of loose ends and unfinished ideas floating around in there.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=356096&songID=3144933
Whatever I used to make this, didn't have the ability to loop, so I recorded it in sound recorder or something and played it over and over again.
I found these guys on the old mp3.com back in 2000 or 2001. At that point the band was pretty much over with. I ordered a cd and it came with a handwritten note from Jeremy thanking me for buying the record. To me it is the best I ever found on that website.
You type in a band name "Hum" and clicked similar artists. The results varied from studio quality to boom box microphone recordings.
The sound quality is a nice mix that fits right in the middle of YPAA and DIH. Just like the Hum albums I think this song is one of the weaker ones it will give a renewed interest with a replay and it is like rediscovering it all over again.
For the guitarists I have tabs for bleary eyed me and King Valley 55. Here is a link of me butchering bleary eyed me http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=9372452&q=hi&newref=1
I also have poems with no music, but I don't have them posted on the net. I like doing alt hip hop as well.....check this out...I was thinking about making a video for this but I don't know what I would do... http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=13257265&q=hi&newref=1
Some of my newer stuff up here - The big bass one is the B-52's cover - Bass VI doing both Ricky's guitar parts and the Bass parts, Metal style! - https://soundcloud.com/madmike2014

He was only 15 when he did this as well! There's loads of his songs from around 2004 here, my favourites are Red Sky and Isolation
Oh yeah it is, sorry my mistake. I just discovered this song today and for some reason I didn't even consider that possibility.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=147108&content=songinfo&songID=2710186
Yep, its called lovesong, and he had it on his soundcloud but deleted it. Thankfully he also had another account or a link account or somthing on soundclick. Also I found it :D
I have a significant amount of instrumental tunes at http://www.soundclick.com/mechanisma - let me know if anything in particular strikes you. Scheduling etc has prevented me from completing any of my own vocals or collaborating on them with anyone.
They get most of their music from Hollywood Legend Productions.
Then, Nice Peter and Jose "Choco" Reynoso master and rework it.
Did you see this page? '4:27' is pretty sweet too.
But yeah, they didn't really release stuff very widely; a few EP-type things, and they made an album, but only released them through a couple of record shops in Hobart or something. I think I've still got them somewhere...
New Found Glory has a song called 3rd and Long. Could you have gotten the band and song names confused?
Edit: Nevermind I don't think you did. There are a couple of their songs here, but their website is gone now.
Old Bulb instrumentals from Soudclick, Tesseract, Modern Day Babylon
The only link I could find that worked was to their Soundclick page. You should try searching for each of the members listed there to see what they've done recently. Good luck!
For better or worse ...

Awesome! I'm trying to put HHH onto him.
And if you wanna hear his humorous songs, check out Super Zeros and Revenge of Xenu on the Datpiff tape. Dude is hilarious.
I'm not sure how exactly big it is, but hundreds of songs. Some are hard to find now. This has 121 alone: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=12347
Check this song out too, very good:
I've been heavily influenced by Fatboy Slim, The Crystal Method, and early BT. I've since moved in more of a dubstep direction for those type of songs, but here's one of my earlier songs for reference: http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=2764973&q=hi&newref=1 (this was before I had a good handle on mastering, so it's a bit loud). If Big Beat was still as popular today, I would probably still be producing it... very great genre to work with!
I think the best trick is learning how to layer 2 different drumkits. Pick 2 slightly different rhythms that play off each other. I don't really know how to explain it any better. Some of the hits should line up, but then other hits should fall on different beats. It will give depth to the song. Hope that helps.
> I got a perfect song for you then. It's detroit underground group called 6mile cobraz called "the hatred inside of me". One of they lyrics is " I hate the world cuz the world don't like me". " I don't wanna sleep no more I don't even wanna eat no more." I know the producer. > > > > http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=474373
It was apparently written by a guy named Tick Bryant. I couldn't find a sample of that exact song but here's a sample of his band. It might give inspiration for potential lyrics.
Sure thing, I get off at 1am cst, I'll upload the FLP to mediafire and share it so you can get an idea of how I do everything.
EDIT: I"m uploading just the FLP, so you might have to replace some of the Xfer Deadmau5 percs. Unless you want to somehow download them by searching for them on a certain website that has lots of free things that aren't usually free... Sites that rhyme with She Schmirate Schmay.
EDIT (Again): Here's the FLP File, small size, only like 1.57mb. I'd upload the additional percussion sounds but I'm extremely tired and going to bed soon. Enjoy
Also, thanks for your kind words, it means a lot to me. I love hearing people loving my music. Check out some of my other music that I haven't xfer'd over to Soundcloud yet at My soundclick page if you're interested.

this album is a masterpiece. 50 years from now people will see and recognize that "MBDTF" is the best piece of music hip hop music has to offer in 2012. Thank you KANYE! i've been a kanye fan since his production years, he's my role model man, the best producer in the game, he makes classics, he sets trends, but he makes classics. he doesn't need to proof anything though. the real people who understand this hip hop industry know what's up! KANYE YOU'RE THE BESTi make beats myself inspired by kanye ever since his "cant tell me nothing" track http://www.soundclick.com/kevinarthur
any feedback welcome!!
I like it -- have an upboat. Hell, I might even buy it.
And, check out my pal's tune. Not industrial, but pretty catchy:

Talents: Guitar (some rhythm mostly lead), drums (have actual drums and like to make drum samples as well), bass, synth. (I've got Reason and Ableton and a midi keyboard).
Gear: A number of guitars from nylon acoustic, acoustic electric, a number of electric guitars. Loop pedal, effects pedals. Pearl Export Series drum set, standard bass guitar (nothing special), very inexpensive synth, m audio midi keyboard, congas, two semi weighted keyboards. Genres: Rock, Electronic, Experimental, Alternative
Project: Ethnic Vendor
I don't know any like minded musicians in my area and am looking to start up a new project with anyone who shares my taste in music. Anyone who would like to possibly start track swapping to see what can be done let me know. :)
By the way, in case anyone was wondering. The song that plays about midway("He’s a disk drive, gigabyte, mini disk, megabyte Ram Rom fun lovin’ man ") is a song called Low Tech Love. My gf just got it and is going to make a ringtone out of it :D http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=833304&songID=6568950
Ay. 22 years of playing and smoking. I am Jon Stewart's character from Half Baked when it comes to music on weed. I like listening to, playing it, whatever. My influences are bands like Tool, Opeth, O.S.I., FNM, and even though I don't really listen to them anymore, for my 14th birthday I got a cheap flying v, Gorilla amp, ...And Justice for All, and the guitar tab book for it. That was pretty much the best birthday I ever had. Since I'm not a rock god, I know I can just enjoy my playing and write what I feel.
we have a couple tunes online, if ya just fired one up, check em out. The quality could be better but my brother and i no longer live in the same state, so everything we do is over the internets. That and not having any time, basically lets us do one take, so there are a few hiccups, and I mixed it so don't expect a whole lot. The first one is an original, based on an improvisation. The second one is a cover by some band we like.
If you're into drummerporn, my brother has a youtube channel here, some of our music is on there, but I think it's mostly covers. The featured video is part of a promotion for ejamming software, that's my brother and I doing some improvisation over the web.
I am not in the videos, that's my brother.
tl;dr I like to play.
edit: We don't call ourselves markmatter anymore, that's a crappy ass name. It's just Matter now. Although we haven't done anything in a while, we have lots of stuff floating around waiting for a bit of free time.
Indeed, I liked that one quite a bit more. Wasn't sure at first (mod guitar samples always sound a little 'off' to me), but I liked the ambience you added to the guitar riff and all the other little developments throughout.
I don't have any finished songs that aren't covers of other artists, and as I mentioned, all of my chipstyle attempts were (somewhat intentionally) lost several computers ago. Check these out if you want; it's mostly just me playing around with texture and guitar tone, and riff ideas. "Autumnal," "a bad dream," "let's just pretend" and "Losing Touch" are probably the most polished things there.
edit: oh, and "moog murf #5" is pretty trippy
Hello, I'd be interested in writing music for your game or future games! You can hear clips of songs I've written at http://www.soundclick.com/tavishlawson My email is if interested! Thanks
Honestly I'm still learning how to mix, I would say I'm a beginner at it. I just really listen to this mix of any music to hear what sits well in what frequency.
Bass and Drums should be lower, guitars should sit in the mids, vocals in treble and usually be center of the mix.
I really learned a lot about mixing by bugging this guy on facebook / message board; even though it probably isn't your style of music he is one of the best producers when it comes to having everything sit perfect in the mix.
Heres one of my friends' bands: http://www.myspace.com/amannamedrighteousnoe
I really like the band and the shows and they've opened for Psychostick in the past and played a bunch of gigs at the masq and got to the semi finals of one of the Battle of the Bands here. Definitely check out Stigmata and Bud and Marlboro in the House of Bob Smith. The quality isnt so great but it is how it is. The band hasnt been active for a few months and some are working on other bands/projects. Heres one that has recorded stuff: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1124661
Hopefully things will work out. Otherwise good luck to the bands that get recorded. Thanks for the offer and keep up the good work man.
Also i personally am not in either of the bands, but i am good friends with the members so if you do contact me i can pass by contact info to them and what not.
Also, I found her address etc on craigslist but I wont post them here. She also changed her voicemail greeting to "fbi investigations". Dumb!
Yep! I'm a pretty good guitarist that loves my metal. I haven't recorded any for a while, but here's some I did about four years ago. My style's changed quite a lot, but it'll give you an idea of ability etc.
Message me if you're interested!
Yes - acoustic music will sound just as good to you in 20 years (or 200 years) as it does right now, becuase the technology won't ever sound dated.
I have tons of acoustic stuff at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=107236
That makes sense... its hard to find a good pair of headphones that work with glasses. I wear glasses too. I have to admit, your drumming is very advanced for starting as a guitarist.
Here is my one-man band: In The Red http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=246421&content=music
The first 4 songs are the most recent recording from 20 years ago. In a little indie rehearsal space and a lot of editing on the computer. If you keep listening, there is older 4-track stuff from when I was in college and even a few song from my band in high school.

Mighty Warriors

> Mighty Warriors' best recording displays this band's considerable talents to their best advantage, particularly those of vocalist/guitarist JUDAS and vocalist/drummer Trulala (as of this writing, sounding a lot like Sammy Hagar as the current singer for Van Halen). The album's success has mainly been due to the soft-spoken hits "La Cuerda Locura" and "Julia" but there's plenty to like on this album, which explores the very general theme of love in a cynical world. Mighty Warriors had a lot on their minds when they recorded El Rebenque Del Papa, as evidenced by the songs "Invasion" "Heces Amorosas" and "El Rebenque Del Papa". This album rocks out, while it examinines serious themes with considerable humor, which prevents Mighty Warriors from ever sounding preachy or condescending.

Hi Chartis! How is the best looking, most gracious and discerning mod?
If Shakespeare had been alive around 1921 he would have written about The Battle of Blair Mountain in Logan County. He would have written about the brave 10,000 union coal miners that marched in protest of the unspeakable conditions. Biplanes actually dropped bombs on them and over a million shots were fired the day the miners of Blair Mountain marched. Dozens died and Mother Jones was there. I did find this song about the Battle of Blair Mountain! I'll be listening as I phone bank thousands miles away. Won't you join me in the battle for Paula Jean Swearengin please! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=111310&songID=1124063&showPlayer=true
Ozzobozo; If you know Alec the drummer from Atomic Bush (Sano Prakash song), he plays Lead guitar/vocals in this band.
This is embarrassing as fuck to post again.
I need to recreate this GarageBand sample that I included in a track I made in high school.
Song is here:
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm trying to actually finish a project now, and need to redo this song as part of it.
Just credit to Antti Luode where possible. I see people crediting anttis instrumentals and sometimes I get no credit at all. But if possible, it would be nice to have Antti Luode as credit.
Your post inspired me to send this to soundclick:
Hi There. .
I have Anttis instrumentals on your site:

I have tongs of songs and I get messages like this every now and then:
One suggestion, if you could separate the songs by genre, style or even BPM, it would help a lot!! For example, I copied some songs I liked to use on my current game, but I don't think they would be good for any other game with a different mood or atmosphere... Then, I'd need to listen, even if it's just a piece of each music, everything again... If we had genre or BPM separation, it would be really awesome.
And it made me think. How hard would it be for you to implement optional tagging system for songs, where people other than the artist could tag the songs according to genres, moods or even other artists, then they could search for those tags.
While you are at it, you could turn the tags into reddit like page where songs could be voted on under different tags. Where there would be front page for most popular tags. (rock, edm, instrumental and so on) Then people could search for what they want, they could subscribe to channels with certain tags etc.
A big thing could be channels where people would tag music according to what it sounds like, sounds like ludacris etc. This is already happening on twitter where beat makers release beats with "xxx type beat".

I was a daft teenager and made some hip-hop beats, but I made this one song with an American called Steven Credabul about 9/11 and I'd love to hear from him again. This was 2002 or there abouts http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=33762&songID=1822619
