You're going to have to provide some form of support and lock down for your lens, as it's moving up and down on the lens mount. I have my lens supported on a Y support attached to an Arca Swiss plate, but 15mm rails will do the same, and then the lens is tied down with zip ties through the holes on the Y support.
This works fine for me, as I never change the zoom lenses on my two cameras, so zip tying doesn't matter. That said, it' easy enough to remove the zip ties and then replace them. You can get reusable zip ties as well or thin Velcro straps.
I have told this to many people and sound like a broken record but you should get this thing. I have nearly the same set-up and it will save the longevity of your lens. You obviously could get another but def as that is a lot of weight on the EF mount.
Also, that lens looks sick.
Are you in the US? Selling my beloved 1080p rig to make room for the 4K. PM me if interested.
Depends on your budget. Salty makes a really cool one, but it's full professional grade and it runs around $2500. If your goal is to look cool, I'd say it accomplishes that too. https://saltysurfhousings.com/product/blackmagic-pocket-4k-housing/
I would highly suggest not trusting ziplock bag with your setup, but if you need a more affordable option, these bag style cases work and are under $100. https://www.amazon.com/DiCAPac-WP-S10-DSLR-Camera-Waterproof/dp/B00169HXW2/
I'd get a locking usb-c cable for the T5. It locks to the Tilta rig and is nice and short. Def don't want to loose a shot from a loose cable.

Everything else is solid for a nice little rig.
Hi u/Defiant-Ad-3634 - I would keep the Viltrox focal reducer and buy EF mount cine lenses (e.g., the $539.99 Meike 35mm T2.1 - which would become a "speed boosted" 25mm/T1.6).
This lens would cost you $140 more than the equivalent Meike MFT cine lens, but you'll end up saving money if and when you upgrade to a camera with a larger sensor.
Hope this is helpful and good luck with your decision!
I would suggest getting a battery pack. I know there's a nice no name brand on amazon that's only $25-$30 just need to get the right cable to connect the camera. And it last for hours.
Update: this is it: Talentcell Rechargeable 6000mAh Li-Ion Battery Pack For LED Strip And CCTV Camera,12V DC Portable Lithium Ion Battery Bank With Charger,Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MF70BPU/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_h.8Ywb3EHZV
I ending up going with this one on Amazon. Not exactly like the one you posted, but a fairly flat cord.
No problems with it so far with my T5 SSD.
Look at the BENRO line of tripods, they are an affordable yet very high quality line of heads and sticks. I just bought a Benro S8 and I'm very impressed with the quality, I love it!

There is the Amazon link, I actually bought mine from B&H and they matched the Amazon price of $399.

This is the battery. I bought a couple of these 3000 maH ones. Thanks also have a v-mount battery but this one is great for more run n fun style shooting.
The cable I made myself out of a 12v connector and the AC power supply included with the camera but you can buy new ones on Amazon for reasonable prices
Very select few SD Cards can record raw on OG BMPCC.
Get a Kingston Canvas Select Plus on Amazon. 128gb for like $24. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083TNQ8HV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Older Sandisk Extreme Pro SD Cards, 95MB/s cards can do RAW on original BMPCC. Expensive, but solid. Can be found on Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.de in high capacity, for better price than US.
This guy has a great video reviewing memory cards for the OG BMPCC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdqAU9d5Bd4
Good luck!
14mm is not that wide on a BMPCC. I just got a Rokinon 10M-MFT 10mm F2.8. If you want to see the field of view in advance, this is agreat app, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kadru.arriviewfinderfree&hl=en
I like it. I went in a little different direction. Here is my minimalist rig.
I use a pistol grip with the battery plate mounted below.
SSD mounted on a cold shoe swivel mount and a cell phone tripod adapter. Very small and compact.
Just to give you an idea we shot this with the Neutral profile on a t2i with Magic Lantern and we left it like that for the most part, no color correction until the last shot. Lenses were 70-200 and 24-70 but i dont remember specs past that because we rented them.
/u/harryhasbadeyesight - the easiest and least expensive way to do it is to buy a $6.59 SmallRig cold shoe mount, screw it into the top of your camera and mount your Videomic on it.
This is what I did with my Azden mic, and it works great - as seen on the right here.
Hope this is helpful and good luck!
Thanks for posting this. I use the same plate, but I screw it to the bottom of my pistol grip in order to keep my cold shoe open - as seen here - really handy.
OK, Imtriing, since I'm not sure when I'll have time to clean all this up and do a full useful blog post with video, I've decided to give you links to a folder with photos of a previous version of my setup and a spreadsheet with a list of all the parts that I use for my current setup. If you click the different tabs on the bottom, you can see a full breakdown of parts by category.
Keep in mind that all of this together is not a cheap setup (around $9,000), but you don't need everything to start shooting. The BMPCC is great because you can build up slowly over time and increase your capabilities without going into debt.
I hope this helps!
Yes. The Light version is not called light anymore. Its just "Davinci Resolve 12.5" and the PRO Version is called "Studio".
On this site you can compare the "normal" vs "studio" version:
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/compare
When you search for "Automatic Image Stabilization" ..the "light" version has the same features as the "Studio" (pro) version.
Hi u/notungx - I recently bought this Camtree cage with a top handle, cable locks, a base plate and a very nice hard case for a little over $100 (shipping included).
Considering that a cage alone for the Pocket 4K is about the same price - this was a bargain.
Hope this is helpful and good luck with your "new" camera!
P.S. would love to hear your thoughts on how the three cameras compare 🙂
Hi u/Haramu - I like the stop/start button on the $89.99 handle from Kondor Blue.
Costs a little more, but the ability to control recording from the top handle makes it worth it.
Hope this is helpful!
I have several SmallRig handles, the 1446, 1447 and the 1638 (different uses). The style I best like is the 1446 rubber handle, but SmallRig doesn't make these with a NATO clamp, so I ended up getting Camvate one, which is not much different.
I'd avoid the rubber grip like on the 1447, as it's no where near as comfortable to hold. The metal handles that come with the likes of the 1732 are often unpleasant and in cold environments downright awful to hold. I ended up using some fishing rod heat shrink to make one of these comfortable for one application (gimbal side handle).
I think you need to get the speedbooster that is specifically designed for the BMPCC 4K, which is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Metabones-Booster-Adapter-BMPCC4K-Camera/dp/B07WD5H5FZ/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Metabones+Canon+EF+Lens+to+Micro+Four+Thirds+T+Speed+Booster+Ultra+bmpcc+4k&qid=1623479433&sr=8-2 There is plenty of literature on the web that highlights the need for this specific product vs the generic EF to MFT speedbooster.
Well, I think it would come cheaper if you bought another Smallrig baseplate (like their model n. 1674, $24 on amazon), and a Manfrotto quick-release base to screw on top of it (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/241139-REG/Manfrotto_577_577_Rapid_Connect_Adapter.html)...
I just bought this battery and it's amazing.... you can use the 12v or dummy battery (included) but you will need the d-tap cable that it's like 15$

Idk why anyone would downvote, but yeah cable management has to be a pain, especially the mic cable. Is that even XLR? You can get much shorter ones to use as well as velcro ties to secure them to the rig. The smallrig cage has gaps on the corners for that exact reason.
Same with the SSD. I got this one: USB C to USB C Cable (0.72ft), 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps 100W 4K Video Data Transfer Charging Cable for Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, S10,T5 LaCie SSD, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and More (1-Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07THFJ1J5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_AQBHQ9CNTWNAWR1580DX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
(cracks knuckles)
I've been obsessed with rigging my Pocket 6K with the right cables – because that left side is super crowded with all the ports and some cables get in the way of my hands and I don't want anything to get snagged and yanked out. Here 's my setup:
I use a Smallrig cage and the Smallrig side handle that holds the T5 rather than the top bracket for the SSD. It works great and I like the extra grip, but it does make getting to the ports tricky and requires a lot of angle adapters to keep things clean. I've tried several USB-C cables but this one is my new favorite:
DockCase Flexible USB-C Gen 2 Cable
I like this cable because of how flexible it is (a lot of USB-C cables are really stiff, including the one that ships with the T5). It's also pretty short and gives me just enough length to reach the drive without leaving so much slack that can get snagged easily or requires coiling with ties.
I also use angle adapters and extenders to bend the cable in the right way and clear all the ports; I know these are potential points of failure but so far everything has worked okay and I haven't found a single cable that fits the bill otherwise.
I also recommend one of the Smallrig port locks to protect the camera port and hold the cable in place. I have the older one that I use together with USB-C and HDMI extenders that are always locked in place; this clears the cage and allows me to plug the cables in easier. There is also a new adapter that plugs into the ports directly and adapts them to right angles that pretty much accomplishes the same thing.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WS94Y1N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
the soonwell 70 watt power grip bro.... its a work horse man, powers everyone for quite a while (hours) I highly recommend it, keeps the rear of my BMPCC 4k open and I can use the touch screen (as opposed to V mount battery). at 200 bucks with plenty of mounting tools and adapters its WELL worth the price of admission
Hi u/yetivirgo - you might want to consider buying cinema lenses for your cinema camera.
Something like a $539.99 Meike 35mm T2.1 EF cine prime with an $80.98 Pixco focal reducer will:
a) cost you less than a $649 Metabones (or even a $218 Viltrox) plus the price of a typical auto focusing still camera lens and
b) give you quality cine lenses you can continue to use when you upgrade to a larger sensor camera.
In the long run, buying still camera EF glass or "inexpensive" micro four thirds lenses can end up costing a lot of money.
Hope this is helpful and good luck with finding the right glass for your needs!
We got an Andoer one for our BMPCC4K and I really like it. Super secure, very stable, easy to use, comes with a nice bag...I don't have a bad thing to say about it, and it was pretty darn affordable, I think! It's super smooth for panning, and not too heavy to haul around. I really like it!
Check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FSJHUBO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is manufactured by Tilta. This is it: Tilta Gear Ring and I'm using the Tilta mini follow focus.
Your Sigma 18-38mm is now around an f1.2 lens and in bright sunlight, if you want to shoot at large apertures, you're going to need some fairly heavy ND filters, something like these two. One for bright conditions and the other for very bright conditions.
I'm not recommending the brand as I don't know anything about them, but I do use NiSi and K&F Concept VNDs. I use 2-32 VNDs as the lenses that I use are F2 and f2.8, so a couple of stops slower than the Sigma.
If the offer is still on the table I live in California and I could really use one of thesehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MZFJPY6/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=A4IVYW5MZ3REB&psc=1
My arms are always killing me after using my bmpcc4k on my gimbal for 8-10hrs on sets.
Even if I'm not the one chosen it's really awesome that you're doing this! You have my upvote for sure!
This is a really cool thing to do! I’d love to get my hands on one of these if you’re so inclined...
SMALLRIG NP-F Battery Adapter Plate with Charging Cables for BMPCC 4K & 6K Cameras - EB2698 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DHPY3JZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_0fz3FbTN4MAZB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
For a second I was like "who in the world is doing all that to self-shoot against some brightly colored seamless and talk a bunch of dubious nonsense on YouTube?" Woosh.
Looks like a fun rig for the kind of stuff I typically work on anyway. Only thing I'd recommend is one of these gears for your Sigma. I have it on my 18-35 and it's great not having to worry about seams and whatnot.
Yep that's the exact battery I have though I only bought a single. It seems to be just fine. I haven't had issues with any of the batteries not holding a charge, and the only one I've noticed lasting shorter than the others is the BMD battery. I'd go for it if you like the look of those. It's Amazon you can just return them if they don't all work or anything.
I went for this Powerextra set because I really like this style of charger from PE. I have a few of them for my Panasonic cameras as well and they work great. I like that you can see from far away that the batteries are charged because the backlight on the LCD turns off.
Same price on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DBL0NLQ

Also, this lens doesn't have optical image stabilization. If you plan on holding the camera while shooting, keep in mind it might be a bit too shaky.
I definitely think you should go the steady cam route instead of going straight for a Ronin or something. The shots look great, not to mention you look like you actually know what you’re doing if you’re on a set or something. I got this steady cam ( Amazon ) years ago in the hopes of saving for a real glide cam eventually, but I never got around to it because this one has treated me so well. Also works great with the bmpcc4k.
Yes! I use this combination as a battery solution:

Looks like the SMALLRIG Camera Top Handle Grip, and the SSD holder looks to be by KONDOR BLUE. Both available on amazon.
Haha thanks! I have plenty of colors as I always pick some at weddings so I change them occasionally. You can get ones in Amazon as well, they seem to be the same

I'm assuming you're talking about the Original BMPCC and not the 4k correct? They have an issue with newer sandisk cards. But I've had luck with the Kingston SD Cards.
This and the canvas react ones, however I dont see those in stock. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YGZ1BVG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These slide onto 15mm rods and provide 1/4inch mounting holes for the battery plate.
> Thanks for the suggestion!
Glad I could help!
> How do you think it compares to this Venus Optics Laowa 7.5mm f/2?
Even though the Laowa is faster, and real estate shooters are getting great results with it (as seen here), it would be my second choice after the Oly.
Sometimes, it's nice to have a system lens - and a little bit of extra focal length.
Again. hope this is helpful!
You can put inside your battery compartment and plug the cable into an external power brick.
The official one has a better build, but is overpriced in my opinion. I've got a friend who has it and he's had no trouble with it though.
I typically use a larger rig with a v-mount, but also have this here NPF adapter, and it works well screwed into the top of my smallrig cage:

Hey! I bought 2 of these Core SWX Power Base Edge batteries for my 6K Pro https://www.amazon.com/Core-SWX-PowerBase-Battery-Blackmagic/dp/B082NMD9CF and they work like a charm. 6 hours of shooting and if I go over, I just recharge 1 while I use the other. Get yourself some external batteries!
Glad I could help. Here is a picture with the single battery plate on a pistol grip. Total price of the plate, the grip and the cable is about $53.
I do not. My widest lens is an Oly 11-22mm for classic 4/3 (seen here on my BMPCC).
That said, if you can afford it, I recommend the Voigtlander. You really can't beat it in low light.
Here is another example shot with the BMPCC 4K and a set of Voigtlanders, to include the 10.5mm. Amazing lenses.
Again, hope this is helpful!
What cage do you have for your 6k pro, is it the titla one?
The Tilta part you're looking at is only for the front of the cage, if you're looking to mount your v-locks at the back you'll need to have a look at a different solution. For example, I use the Smallrig universal baseplate (amazon link) to mount rods and a v-lock plate to my p4k. It may be worth looking at using a dedicated base plate instead of the rod holder.
The v-lock plate and battery should be fine, make sure you get a decent d-tap to weipu cable to power the camera. I personally use Alvins Cables (amazon link) for a lot of my connection needs, imo they're good value for money.
I've been shooting with these for the past 2 years and have never had any issues whatsoever. Powers my Portkeys LH5H monitor and the bmpcc6k
I can’t recommend any batteries because mine are an Amazon-store brand no longer available (though they are working just fine 3 years later).
But I CAN recommend this small v-mount battery plate. Works great, small footprint. Has 2 p-tap ports AND 2 12v DC ports. I power my camera and SmallHD monitor from p-tap and my Accsoon video transmitter from the DC port
I run using the Powerbase Edge batteries because they can be mounted using either a V-Mount plate with rails or by the 1/4 base plate. If you have a Blackmagic camera cage, you can pretty much mount this thing anywhere. Got through an entire feature on these babies.
While it protects the jack on the device from constant plugging in and out, it also adds another point of failure while recording.
I use this cable and it works well:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07WWDG7H4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sorry, I didn’t notice you had posted footage. Your description made it sound like stuck pixels. I’ve watched the video and it is actually just dust on the sensor glass.
Take the lens off and shine a light in there and you will no doubt see some white specks of dust.
First step for cleaning is to get a hand held puffer with a soft silicone rubber tip. A couple of puffs of air in there will blow the dust off. Do not blow into the camera yourself - you will likely cause blobs of spittle.
Something like this is what you need. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07S629NH6/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07S629NH6&pd_rd_w=qELqy&content-id=amzn1.sym.ef1fde52-be52-4827-9cf1-c31c9758a641&pf_rd_p=ef1fde52-be52-4827-9cf1-c31c9758a641&pf_rd_r=QAFZ06FT3REH9TDA2...
If that doesn’t shift it then the next step will be a sensor swab and some cleaning solution.

A ronin s version 1 costs about $400 with a ton of accessories, link below. I have run the 4k on it, and it works great.(You need an offset plate and counterweight) I wouldn't say they aren't worth it, they have a lot of benefits and drawbacks, same with all the other options. You can probably find a better deal, I have seen them for close to $200.
A glide cam is going to cost $200-$500. I hate them with a passion, but some people make them work. I find them very difficult to balance and even if it is balanced I find it very tiring to hold and maneuver.
I think fig rigs have lost favor, but they can help. (Basically a wheel with a plate to mount the camera) They help but are not usable to refocus a camera without a wireless follow focus, which if you can't afford the gimbal you can't afford this and the extra crew member that runs it with the wireless monitor and transmitter... I am sure you could get one used.
Shoulder rigs can help steady your camera, but they limit some angles. Cheap ones are uncomfortable and wobble. They are going to run from $150 to $1000
If you want the basic of the basic, make your camera heavy. The heavier it is the less your body jitters translate to film. Use a shoulder strap and pull it tight away from you while it's around your neck. It will help for some planes of maneuvering.

Maybe go full manual...no record button unfortunately, but this is what came to mind.
You'd need this cable https://www.amazon.com/ZITAY-Straight-Blackmagic-Pocket-Cinema/dp/B08P37B5YS
If you want to power other things like a monitor or focus motors you would need a d-tap splitter like this https://www.amazon.com/Alvins-Cables-Splitter-Cameras-Steadicam/dp/B071FGDMFG/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=d-tap+splitter&qid=1665328917&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIzLjc2IiwicXNhIjoiMy44MyIsInFzcCI6IjMuNTQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=d-tap+sp%2Caps%2C147&sr=8-3
>...cfast cards are extremely expensive
Not really. They do cost more than SSDs on a "per GB" basis - but if you don't need a lot of storage, CFast 2.0 cards are relatively inexpensive.
For example - you can get a 128GB Silicon Power CFast 2.0 card for just $71.99 - or a 256GB card for $124.99.
To me, it's worth the extra cost per GB to get rid of the bulk and hassle of external drives.
I haven't done this with my BMPCC 4K, however I have done it with my OG BMPCC. It works fine. You just have the same image crop as you would with a M/43 lens; for the OG, that's 2.88, with the 4K it's 1.89 (1.89 when shooting in 4K, approximately 4 when shooting in HD).
One gotcha you want to watch out for: lenses that only have electronic iris control. There are quite a few lenses out there (Sigma and Tamron immediately come to mind...but there are plenty of others) that do not have a physical iris control. If you are going to use an adapter without glass, make sure that you get one that has electronic connections (hard to find), or if you are using lenses' that do have physical iris controls, get an adapter that also has physical controls.
Edit: Here's an example of a lens adapter that is not a speedbooster, but does have electronic controls (please note, this is the only one I could find: Lens Adapter With Electronic Connections
And, here is an example of a lens adapter that is also not a speedbooster, which does not have electronic controls, but which does have a physical iris control: Lens Adapter With Physical Iris Only
Shoulder Mount. It uses another set of rails and obviously have to switch up where my monitor (Portkeys LH5H) is so I switch it to this mount. I may have a bit of a problem with buying too many mounts haha but I use them all for different situations or set ups
It actually came with my Nitze camera cage which isn't sold anymore on amazon. May be able to do some digging to find one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08H1K2KJY/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o02\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can easily just buy a waist strap and call it a day.
Makes it super easy to use a gimbal with a heavy rig all day lol

This cable has never failed me in over 2 years of use on my BMPCC 4K recording BRAW 3.1. Sometimes the camera needed to be rebooted to recognize my SSD with the original T5 cable. My cats chew on my Samsung T5 cable because it is so gummy. They don't like to chew this one because it is harder and better shielded. It's rated at twice the speed of USB 3.1. It is the right length for me to loop it into the open spaces between my BMPCC 4K and a Smallrig full cage to store it when not in use. I doubt if this could be done on a close-fitting Tilta cage. Maybe the extra length will help to prevent it from kinking from use.

Using this is easier than smearing Tabasco sauce on my cable, like Cat 6 installers do to thwart mice.
Reliable USB-C Cable for camera
The OG BMPCC has a power input on the left end, below the HDMI. It takes a 0.7mm DC cable.
You can by D-Tap to OG BMPCC cables on Amazon or eBay.
I don't know what 'affordable' means for you. I assume if you can afford a nice BMPCC set up you can afford a $190 bag to keep it safe.
Did you ever come up with a solution?
I have the Nucleus Nano and I'm considering how to connect it to my Crane 3s for an upcoming job. My best shot was to order this piece and get a 6" rod to come off my Tilta cage above the lens and see if that works since it's a $20 investment to try!
I brought this lens off Amazon Venus Optics Laowa 9mm f/2.8... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PPQ4332?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
And this adapter Urth Lens Mount Adapter:... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088C2VY66?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The lens says it’s m4/3 but it doesn’t fit on the og
Consumer gear will usually call a HDMI DA a splitter. HDMI DA's are very common in event and install work.
Consumer 1:2 Splitter: https://www.amazon.com/OREI-HDMI-Splitter-Out-Duplicate/dp/B005HXFARS
Professional HDMI DA: https://www.extron.com/product/dahd4kseries
Here is one of them. I think there is four total. They are all $400 I highly suggest them for starting out.
If you’re on a budget this is a decent all around lens for under $100, this was my first lens and allowed me to get my shit off the ground for filming show recaps for rappers here in Denver. You may even want to go with a wider, 16mm, but this one is solid. My suggestion is swoop this cheap 25mm and swoop a 50mm or higher.
One for wide shots, 25mm
One for close shots without needing to be in their face, 50mm
Thanks :)
Just to make sure, because Im totally new at this. If I were to use the external hard drive I need.
is this correct?
Are these models the right ones or maybe I should I get a different ssd holder?
Also will the cable that comes with the hard drive be "long" enough to reach to the hard drive? or will I need to order an extra cable?
I got this https://www.amazon.com/ZITAY-CCTECH-Adapter-Converter-Compatible/dp/B08H1X44C9
if you decide for that ask for a longer cable
Congratulations on the new camera!
The cheapest and most compact way to deal with the battery life problem is probably with the $145 battery grip.
You might have to trade your cage in for one that accommodates the grip, though.
Good luck!
That'll be ok depending on what you want to shoot but if you want to go cheap it's better to just go with the Rode VideoMic Go 2. It's $94 but has amazing sound and works great with the 4K. If it's not in your budget now just wait until you can afford. Like others said it's not a good idea to go cheap on audio. This mic here has amazing quality for the price and I think is worth it for on camera audio.
I agree, also don’t forget to buy the art of films official film review notebook.
my short answer is no, but if you're determined to power it by USB power bank, is there a reason you're not powering the bmpcc via USB-PD? something like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MQ5XT64 would let you stick to a USB power bank without quite so much ... zapping? i haven't heard of that. but i would be extremely cautious about something making any kind of sound. even more so a "zapping" sound.
You can actually shoot 3:1 or Q1 (first ISO) using an SSD enclosure (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M08LCXW) and a Crucial MX500. I have personally done it.
I have a pencil condenser (Oktava MK012), mounted to the side of a Smallrig Wood Top Handle using Rycote Universal Shotgun Microphone Mount. I de-bolted the shotgun portion of that mount and screwed it directly to the handle.
Does it work? Yes. Does it pick up a ton of handling noise? Yes.
If you are ok with some very light and easy soldering….
This is what I use and this thing powers my camera for about 3 hours straight. Smaller than a vmount or npf.
All you have to do is solder the charging cable to the bmpcc cable
I needed to. There was some gunk i had to remove, and the rocket blower was not enough.
By the way I'm using this liquid.
