Check Airbnb. I found an apartment for $20/night in South Columbia. It sleeps 4 and allows pets. Second room is am additional $5/night.
If the link doesn't work, just search for entire home, Columbia, three guests, and pets.
What is the landlord doing about the tenants not leaving? Not a lawyer, but I'd consult with one and see if you can recoup expenses due to their refusal to leave. If you have a signed lease, maybe call the police and have then removed, since your lease is a legal document¿
Editing to add: I just checked the link. I have no idea if there's a referral program or not, but if you aren't interested in using a referral link, its title title is "Cozy apartment in South Columbia." I did not check availability, either.
Pretty much what others have said: Give a bit more info about you -- age range, interests, etc. -- and people here can make recommendations. There are photography groups, home brewing groups, disc golf groups, etc that have active facebook pages. You might also look at meetup.com. There are several active meet up groups here.
After I moved here, I tried some activities through the COMO Park's & Rec and joined a martial arts school, and ended up meeting people through those programs. And you'll likely meet people at your new job.
Since all of my local favorites have already been mentioned, I'll just add that you should pick up a copy of Hiking Missouri if you like exploring the state.
1) Salon Nefisa. My wife likes Ryann, but all the stylists are probably great.
2) If you want someone to come to you and treat your pets in your home, I recommend Dr. Maren Bell Jones. If you want to take your pets to a vet office, we like Pet Center Ltd.
3) We love Walts Autobody! They've always been fair and honest with us, and have never overcharged.
4) We usually shop at Lucky's and Schnucks. When we do go to HyVee, we like the one on the south side the best, but we usually go to the one on the west side since we live less than a half mile from it.
5) Sorry, no clue.
6) Keen Family Medicine (it's connected through MU Healthcare). My wife highly recommends Natalie Long. I have a different doctor in the same practice and he's great as well (I honestly can't remember his name though).
7) That depends a bit on your interests. I'd suggest meetup.com. There are a variety of groups for different age levels and interests. If you're into board games, you could try the local game shops (Valhalla's Gate or Mageling's).
VPNs are really easy to use. I use NordVPN and I have zero knowledge in IT. VPNs are just like a one-click app, that changes your IP and encrypts your data. It's really easy and it would help with your problem
Anybody who has a problem with this should definitely fill out this survey. Its a really lousy survey that forces you to pick a scheme you are happiest with, but there are also places on it to give your opinion on the matter. Right now it's probably our best chance at preventing anything resembling these eyesores from going up.

I used Amazon and bought a 12" thick memory foam mattress. I paid $289 for the Queen size 18 months ago. They vacuum compress it for shipping so it's not terribly unwieldy to carry into the house.
Some other links you might find helpful - http://www.indeed.com, you can search job openings across the U.S. including the Columbia, MO area. This will give you a good idea of our job market.
http://www.city-data.com/city/Columbia-Missouri.html - This website is great for viewing demographic data. Scroll down to the map and you get a drop down menu with lots of demographic options. You can see a map of where families within a certain income range live, for example.

This isn't half bad either. though you'll see that the recording giving such a high elevation gain is wonk. But still a bit of a workout and very pretty.
There's a nice big open field on the back side of Fairview Park. There's a garden back there -- I think a community garden -- and a couple of soccer fields, but also lots of open space and I rarely see anyone there.

Asian market: I recommend Lee's Market at 700 Cherry St.
Grocery stores: I like Lucky's for produce, meat, some dairy, and bread. For other items I shop at Hyvee or Schnucks.
Cool stuff: Be sure to check out the True/False festival in March! (https://truefalse.org)
Also when you arrive in town, I recommend signing up for the Nextdoor app (https://nextdoor.com). People ask for recommendations there all the time. You can search the archives or create a new post to ask for specific recommendations there and you'll find a wider audience than here on reddit.
There used to be a "free-cycle" listserv that was pretty active. So active that I ended up getting out of it due to volume of email it generated.
Looks like it's still around. No idea how active it is. https://www.freecycle.org/town/ColumbiaMO/info
I'm a little late for this conversation, but go to meetup.com and search for DevCoMo (Developers of Columbia MO). Monthly meetings on a variety of development topics. All are welcome.
The odds are high it contains but it's difficult to determine odds when asbestos can only be found using microscopic analysis. As for the testing, you can collect a sample yourself but wear a P100 half mask respirator and mist the area with water before collecting a small 2"X1" scrape of the texture. Double bag your sample and send it off to an accredited lab. SAI labs in Greensboro NC is an example of an accredited lab but use one as close to you as possible.
If you are looking to learn more about asbestos please read my ebook it's free for Amazon Kindle Unlimited members or a low cost educational guide for non-members.

To add to this, /u/mizzoun9ne573 , it looks like the ignition wire for your vehicle is white/black. You may be able to trace some of those wires under your drivers side dashboard and find that wire there to splice it like the user above mentioned. Then you would just need a 2pin toggle switch like this one and some wire crimps. Cut the white/black wire and then attach the two leads of the toggle switch to the white/black wire with the wire crimps. Just keep that switch somewhere out of sight, but still accessible.
You can find all of these parts at Lowe's or Home Depot as well, but looks like roughly $20 to DIY. Good luck on getting your car back.
If anyone out there doesn't know the joy of a hot water bottle I highly recommend them.

You can even knit them a cover!
I've bought some odd shaped frames from ArtToFrames on Amazon. Definitely not the highest quality (thin plastic vs glass), but it looks alright, especially for the price.
addendum: here is a link for grammerly, a Ukranian writing assitance company. You may find some good learning experiences learning how to spell from people who have a gard time in life and gotten over, rather than complaining about every little paper cut lol
I have the same style antenna and have not recently noticed a change with any of the local stations. Positioning, storms, wind, and other nearby appliances can definitely interfere with the signals, but you've probably accounted for those already. The last time I lost all the channels at once (not sure if you get more than the 2 you mentioned?), the only fix was a new antenna. I have had great luck (and more longevity) with this one. Hope you get your channels back soon! Love me some background TV.
i couldn't find the exact one i have but i recommend just buying your own tire pump: https://www.amazon.com/VacLife-Air-Compressor-Tire-Inflator/dp/B07MKSP49L/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1VVFHZPZVURR&keywords=air%2Bpump%2Bfor%2Btires%2Bportable&qid=1649909492&sprefix=air%2Bpump%2Bfor%2Btires%2Caps%2C97&sr=8-4&th=1

what's nice is that you can just set the pressure, plug it in, and hit a button
Just to let yall know, That "juvenile" was me (I'm now 20).
The F.B.I. interviewed me the same day it went down. I told them everything, Dates, Sites, Income, Literally everything that pertained to him and his "Plot"

Moon Loop is really pretty right now, the full loop is about 2 hours at a reasonable pace. The spot here, as the trail crosses Big Branch south, follows an old wagon road past several abandoned hand-built dams: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/38.84540/-92.16341
If you brew beer (or think you might like to learn about brewing beer), we have a friendly active homebrew club that meets the first Wednesday of every month, and some other occasional meetups to just hang out.
For board games, check out Vahalla's Gate or Magelings. They have different types of gaming events almost every night of the week.
For other stuff, there are active groups on meetup.com covering various interests and age groups.
I had a few friends who were into it for a while and I know for a fact that I have seen groups of people at it over the past few years. Some were even featured back in 2008 in some True/False bumpers:

Umm google found this nice facebook group for me...

Basically just ask around, try and find people who know people or who are interested themselves. Best of luck, Columbia would be a fabulous place to do this in!
It's not local, but I know that some people make money of Amazon Mechanical Turk https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome
I think you can do it pretty much whenever and as you get more reputable you can take on better paying jobs. Not sure how much it makes exactly though.
That specific product is gone now, but there are other kits. They cost like a third of having someone come out and you can use them multiple times.

You can get them pretty cheap off amazon. I'm not sure what "new" prices are to you, but I purchased this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0134FXXKQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 3 years ago and love it.
You can find quite a few on amazon for $100-$200 depending on what size bed you have.
My impression of store-bought mattresses are they are often like $600-$800, don't pay those prices, it's dumb.
I always recommend this book whenever these posts come up: Weird Missouri. It's a fun coffee table book to have around.
Just curious: When you say jar based one, do you mean this style?
Depending on the number of plants you have, large terracotta pots that can be moved inside might be a solution.
You might try Grainger, I know they sell the canisters. If all else fails you can get one on amazon then get the canister from Grainger.
here is a Cheaper on Amazon that has good reviews. https://www.amazon.com/North-760008A-Silicone-Facepiece-Respirators/dp/B00142BRF0/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Drager+X-Plore+6300+Gas+Mask&qid=1591045892&sr=8-2
I have CenturyLink and use a service called BTGuard and I've never had an issue with piracy complaints from CenturyLink. It only costs 7 dollars a month and the download speeds are about the same.

But seriously. I got this for Christmas and it is better than my Ninja processor. Super ridiculous easy to clean.

>I have mediacom internet but no tv service. I put a splitter on the coax cable, sending one to the modem and one to the tv. Most new TVs have a channel scan option, use that and you'll get quite a few channels. Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, and 3 PBS are in HD. The rest (ESPN, Comedy Central, ect.) are SD.
Edit: I usually stream sports online using my dad's cable info. Even though he lives in another state and has a different provider I've never had problems.
Edit2: Check out /r/cordcutters as well.

> It seems especially bad on our smartphones for some reason
Try an app like Wifi Analyzer to see if you're on a crowded channel. This is the main reason I have a dual-band wireless router and stick to 5G on any wireless device that supports it. Wiki There tend to be fewer people on it, which reduces interference.
