Recent transplant here. My aversion wasn't as strong as yours, but my first reaction to the tap water was similar. Some things you can do:

So... after 3 months.. I finally found WSU to Scan this original map of the city.
Its pretty neat, and you should be able to zoom to street level.
Here's the .tif of the map too. Warning: Needs a reasonable video card to view the file or your computer might puke on you.
Have you created an account on http://www.indeed.com/? That is a good place to find new job opportunities. I do not have any experience in the field you are interested in however, good luck.
edit.
I would also recommend reaching out to people that are already in the field and ask for advise. If you don't have a linked in profile, create one and start making contacts.
I passed this along when we were having power outages from ice, but it's a good time to buy a battery cell phone charger or even a solar powered one.
Where and when did this happen? I saw some guys doing wheelies and driving into oncoming traffic at West Central Avenue and Farmersville-West Carrollton Rd today at around 5:10 PM. There were about 3-4 of them. The only one I remember had one of those old style helmets on that looked sort of like this but without the glasses.
Sounds like a similar story to mine. If you are interested in community I would recommend checking out meetup.com and finding groups that match your interest. There is also a group called Freethought Dayton that is more for people who are agnostic / atheist or have other beliefs free from religious dogma. I have not been directly involved for a few years now, so I'm not certain of the current demographics, but there were people your age when I was going regularly and I've made some great friends. Having a group of others that went through similar experiences also did help me recover from my trauma being raised in a high control Christian religion. If you want to talk about that, or the group isn't as active, send me a PM. Good luck with your search!
It's probably cheaper in the long run to buy a dispenser and refill 5 gallon water jugs at the grocery store but Crystal Springs, Aqua Falls, and Culligan seem to be water delivery services in the area. Aqua Falls appears to work with lots of businesses near the base.
There was a slickdeal recently for a water dispenser from Walmart for $149 that is still valid: https://slickdeals.net/f/11714899
U-Verse is by nature an internet service package first and foremost. It has the bandwidth and speeds to support IPTV, unlike regular DSL.
Both AT&T's DSL and U-Verse offerings both have caps. The U-Verse cap is 250GB a month and regular DSL is capped at 150GB. These changes were announced in March. Data usage above these caps will be charged at 10$ per 50GB over the cap.
I do not have AT&T personally, however it is possible that you are capped and don't know it.
According to this, U-Verse does indeed cap you at 250 gb. While this may be plenty of bandwidth for most people, It sickens me that people use this service. I will never use a capped service when a viable, uncapped option is available. Fuck AT&T.
There are several geocachers in the area that practice C.I.T.O. - Cache In, Trash Out - it means they try to always take out trash when they are in the parks. http://www.geocaching.com/cito/
You want to get a huge amount of instant support, turn each park clean-up into a geocaching "event" on geocaching.com and watch your numbers increase substantially.
I would second this. The timeframe can be stretched with imagination.
For example, AirB&B has several listings for stays in Yellow Springs. You could get to know the community without a long-term obligation.

Oh, I figured it out. It's the fine print kind of shit.
After 12 months you pay "retail rates" which can make your bill go up $10-$20.
They recently raised rates on renting the cable modem. I got a Docsis 3.0 686Mbps modem for $75 on Amazon that paid for itself.
I tell everyone to buy their own modem. The ones they give you are old, used, and beaten up.
Edit:
List of compatible modems. Most can be purchased for under $100.
I have a 56cm Pure Cycles Drop Bar Road Bike (https://www.purecycles.com/products/road-bike) in red, if you're interested I could snap some pictures and send them through a DM.
All of it is stock except for the crankset which I replaced with a Shimano Tourney 50/34t crankset last year. This (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q4P3F0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1) one to be exact.

It's interesting to see the winding of the road, west to east.
I'd like to know a little more about the timeline of the roads. I recall from when I was around 10 years old, we had some old family friends that lived off Needmore and Wadsworth before it was built up, and they talked about the development of 'needing more road'. It would be interesting to know what parts of the road were built and when (Woodman vs. Turner, etc.).
First of all, I totally agree with the suggestion to post on /r/buildapc and ask some questions. Post your specs there in a post and ask about what you're trying to do. Adding a new hard drive should be trivially easy as far as these things go. Adding some case fans shouldn't be too hard either. The only thing you really need to figure out is where to plug these things into the motherboard. There should be a few extra headers (power sources) to plug the fans in. There should also be a few extra ports to plug in Sata cables for the hard drive. There should be at least one or two extra hard drive bays inside the case that will fit a 3.5" hard drive. You just need a Sata cable and some screws to secure it to the hard drive bay.
In the meantime, something you should do that may help a lot is to install MSI Afterburner and uninstall whatever crap ASUS software came with your GPU. I have an ASUS GTX 960 and the software that came with it really works quite poorly. MSI Afterburner, even though it's made by a different company, works a lot better. I use it to set cooling curves, meaning how fast I want the fans to run when the card reaches certain temperatures. When my card reaches like 60 degrees celsius or higher I have the fans set to run at 100 percent because I don't mind the noise and want to keep temps low. This may help solve your problem by itself, so try this first.
I was curious about your numbers so I did a search It looks like Dayton averages about 9 mph. (Average low of 6.6 with average peak of 11.7 mph)
That doesn't counter your point as commercial operations do require a minimum of 13.
https://weatherspark.com/y/15863/Average-Weather-in-Dayton-Ohio-United-States-Year-Round
Room treatment is important and can be expensive. You will not be sound proofing your room, it is for taming unwanted frequencies and standing waves.
Decent condenser mics can be had for $100-200.
Get a decent interface, usually around $150-250 for Presonus starter models.
AVOID BEHRENGER LIKE THE PLAGUE
It's "legitimate".
I wonder how an argument like this would hold against these "charges".
Anbody have any insight?
I don't know what Vista charges per hour for service work but you could probably buy a few parts and tools to do most of it yourself and save some money. You could likely get most of the oil out through the fill tube using a fluid extractor like this one for $30 on Amazon.
You'd still need to get the drain plug out though cause it'd be pretty shitty to sell the bike with a stripped bolt.
Yes, it's not mobile link. You can just redeem the code from the link on mobile manually:

I've been on Fi since Jan 2017 and I am so happy I switched to that from my previous Droid Maxx on Verizon. I did have to get a [new at the time] Pixel 1 to do it, but it turns out the Fi bill (with monthly phone financing included) came out to almost $20+ cheaper per month than my Verizon bill with a fully-paid-off phone, esp considering with my heavy use of WiFi I almost never go over 1GB of data usage anyway. It's an insanely good deal, and I'm a month or two away from having the Pixel paid off and then my bill will drop even lower.
In fact, I'll happily include an example. Here's my Nov 2018 bill breakdown:
>Last month's usage (for Oct 26 - Nov 26)
>
>Data - Used 0.598 GB: $5.98
>
>
>
>Next month's charges (for Nov 26 - Dec 26)
>
>Calls & texts - Calls, texts, 24/7 support: $20.00
>
>Device payment - $27.04/month, $27.04 remaining: $27.04
>
>Device protection - Pixel: $5.00
>
>Taxes & regulatory fees: $3.89
>
>
>
>Total: $61.91
Coverage between the two networks in the area is fine - I've found Sprint to have better overall coverage, but TMobile gets into some of the dead valleys around Dayton. I've been fine from Miamisburg/Franklin area up through traditionally lower-signal areas in Clark County.
If you are worried about consistency from jumping between networks, Google Fi just rolled out a VPN functionality that's been awesome (aka Pokemon Go won't flip out anymore just because the IP address changed as it jumps networks), and I have found using the Play Store App Signal Spy has given me extra control when I want to force it to use one network over another in an area.
The WiFi calling is also pretty awesome, too.

Sparkboxer here. In addition to the Dayton Web Dev group we do two lunch meet ups each month. Gem City JS is, as you might have guessed, a javascript meetup focusing on presentations and Q&A. Dayton Clean Coders (back after a hiatus in 2015) focuses on hands-on exercises and group sharing. Both are a great time and we provide lunch for all attendees. Check them out and RSVP if you'd like to come.
I assume you got that figure from here. $200 million is not that big a debt when the company expects to achieve $1b in revenue and $40m in savings. Even if we didn't consider the revenue, the investment would pay for itself in 5 years at that rate. It's a sound investment.
I flew out of Dayton on Monday and there were no issues.
I also read today about a TSA app that reports on wait times. It's crowdsourced data, so it's probably as reliable as WAZE.

Hmmm. I searched and here's what I found.
A suspense story from 1967. There's a summary of the premise on the Amazon listing for the script:
https://www.amazon.com/Wait-Until-Dark-Frederick-Knott/dp/B0006BPUJO
Lots of 5-star ratings for the original script on GoodReads. Of course, I don't know which adaptations the Sinclair director might have used, or what further changes might have been made.
https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/749273.Wait\_Until\_Dark
Apparently, Fredrick Knott also wrote "Dial M For Murder", which is more famous (at least to me).
The show looks like it might be a good time!
My tip, buy your own wireless access point (access point, not wireless router). I bought an Omada AP and it was worlds different. Old wireless technology can only handle 1 devices data at a time, which majorly limits bandwidth when you have multiple devices. This AP has MU-MIMO which just means it can talk to multiple devices at the same time.
If you are at all tech savvy, it isn't too hard to set up. You just disable the wireless antenna on your current router. Then hard wire the new one AP into the router and set up your network on the new AP. Then you are up and running again.
You might call SICSA and see what they use... I know they used to sell it cheaper than you can get retail. I know for cats they use this exact product, but no idea for dogs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYON1J4
The books are very disturbing. A few years ago I read a little bit of one using Amazon's "Look Inside". The passage is about the sexual assault, torture & murder of a 16yo girl who is a student at Beavercreek HS.

Welcome to the 21st century.
I can’t recommend a local place for buying filament anymore. But if youre on Amazon then IC3D is a company from Columbus, OH https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SAFBDF8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_8RB78AM1Y6QGANRRQCJN
>but the sump pump kept me up in fear all night
I hear that. I always keep a spare since I've had a couple fail over the years. Very satisfied with these more professional pumps >> all stainless and no corrosion.
Something like this:

You'll need to find an "open" FM radio station on your car's radio and set the transmitter to the same frequency. Then just pair to your device via Bluetooth.

I own the one I linked, no issues so far a year into ownership. Pairs super quickly. The orange USB is for fast charging, and the second USB can be used for charging or playing music via flash drive. There are other options, just make sure to check out the orientation of your car lighter to make sure the transmitter will fit (this is the only shape that fits into the pocket where my car lighter is)
Yaktraxs help reclaim traction and allow you to recreate outside safely. Definitely needed for most of the trails, at least for a few more days.

Congratulations on your engagement!
My wife and I used Arthur Murray dance studio and were very pleased. Here is an active Groupon for two sessions for $50.50. They will try to sell you more sessions, but we felt comfortable after two.
Recommend picking your first dance song before booking the session.
Again, congratulations!
The speed isn't my complaint and I can see 450 Mbps on tests, though it really does vary from 250-450 at times. https://www.speedtest.net/result/9778787818.png. My complaint is how they provide 100 Mbps as standard speed where there's no competition and 200 Mbps where there is competition.
They don't pro-rate service anymore so I also need to look at when by billing cycle starts/ends for when I drop back down to standard service.
I would second Proto Build Bar and D20. Proto has 3d printers and "nerd" types hang out there all the time. D20 has a huge wall of board games free to play and some interesting sodas. Also, we have a pretty big meetup.com presence here in Dayton. They have all sorts of groups you can join to meet people with like interests, such as hiking.
Spray the perimeter of your house with permitherins. A bottle of concentrate will last you more than a year, even spraying monthly.
For that price I'd look for a nice condo in a good neighborhood, I wouldn't aim for a whole house unless you can pay more. I wouldn't trust a house for that price range to be in a good neighborhood. As for gay friendly communities I'd suggest something like meetup.com to seek them out. There are a lot of different meetups in Dayton. This is how my husband and I have met most of our good friends. I think Dayton is a friendly city. I personally live in Huber Heights and like it a lot. The cost of living is great here. We bought our house in 2013 for $150,000 but it's a 4 bed 2.5 bath 2300 square feet house (not including the basement,) it's big. You may not need that much space. I've seen condo's in our neighborhood go for $70,0000 or so before.
Best of luck to you!
We'll be posting a lot more information as we get closer but here's the basic rundown.
This is an annual convention hosted by the Fantasy and Science Fiction Appreciation Club at the University of Dayton (/r/fasfac and /r/uofdayton)
This is the 22nd time we have hosted a convention on campus and are hoping to make it the biggest one yet.
What you can expect to see:
Convention Events -- Free -- These will range from random pick up board games to speakers on nerdy/geeky topics to panels discussing the finer points of comics or Game Mastering your favorite RPG. There will ALWAYS be an event going on during our open hours as well as a very different event Saturday evening.
Gaming For A Cause -- $5 for the weekend -- A room dedicated to nothing but video games. Our members bring in their own consoles and TV's to set up the room and we play games the entire weekend to support Child's Play Charity and more directly, Dayton Children's Hospital. The money is used to purchase games and much wanted items for children who are in the hospital for the long term.
Concessions -- $0.25 - $2.50 per item -- To help fund the convention, rather than charging admission, we have a concession stand which typically sells doughnuts, juice, and milk in the morning and pizza, pop, and candy the rest of the day.
Vendors -- All of your money -- Pete, the owner of Bell Book and Comic sets up every year with basically half his store to sell to the con attendees, typically at a decent 10% or more discount. This year we will also be hosing Oberon Woodcraft which specializes in all sorts of nerdy crafts.
Overall the convention has been averaging about 130-150 people a year for the past few years and we're looking to expand further. If you are interested in it at all, come show up for a few hours and see what it's all about. We hope to see you there!
This is a route from UD through Oakwood and Kettering that I take that has some decent climbs (for this area at least). I'll do a few laps because it's only eight miles or so and there is a nice recovery through the bike path before you start having to work again.
Might want to away from Campus and stick to Irving though.
Alright - late reply!
So it seems that DaytonMostMetro's calendar is used on most of the other community sites instead of said organization hosting their own calendar.
One that I have shared with friends visiting out of town is this: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g60785-Activities-Dayton_Ohio.html It may be another good one to add.
Edit: Nevermind... Looks like the two links disappeared? Any insight /u/scienceonly?
Airbnb. My friend Janet has a house for rent on Vine Street just a few blocks south of downtown. It might be more house than you need but if you can commit for a few months she might cut you a deal.
It's pretty nice in there. I should know, I helped remodel it.
It's being taken care of. You can follow the thread here on Nextdoor. Of course you have to sign up for the app to see the thread.
https://nextdoor.com/post/150015260
Edit: lol downvoted for supplying a link where the appropriate people are dealing with this to get the mural redone. Some real fucking losers in this sub
More of a during the day thing but I sent my wife and her best friend on this and they said it was amazing: https://www.groupon.com/biz/middletown-oh/butler-county-warbirds . You would still have a good budget to have them do other things as well with. My buddy and I sent our wives on an amazing race style scavenger hunt with clues and directions to things including money needed for each "leg of the race". The whole thing cost us about 200 dollars a piece with this being the most expensive part at $35 bucks per person.
Checkout the world's first airport: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huffman_Prairie
It's a shame no one but bird watchers go there. It's been nice and isolated, well, until I made this post...
MSI Afterburner just seems to communicate with the GPU better and actually enforce the settings you want in terms of fan speed based on temperature curve. It's commonly used by builders across brands of NVIDIA cards because it is the best software available. If you have no management software then it may be using some wonky BIOS settings to manage the GPU fans, which I wouldn't recommend. This may be why your temperatures are so high.
How are you viewing the temps in the first place, are you using CPUID? I recommend HWMonitor to view temps across your system.
It's called unlocator. The basics is that it spoofs your IP through a location not in the blackout. It gets you around the regions in Netflix, blackouts during sports. It also helps, not by much though, to hide your location to be hacked. It is but a minor speed bump for a hacker but can help make them move onto the next victim.
What do you get on https://speedof.me/ or https://testmy.net ?
I see 89/12 if I let speedtest.net use the default " Imagine Networks Troy, OH" server but I see 118/12 if I change the server to " MVECA Yellow Springs, OH"
If you find one please post, looking for the same in the Dayton area. Ordered this book on Amazon that has some pretty great reviews and working though it now, but have not completed enough to make a real recommendation. Just sharing that it could be a resource, good luck! https://www.amazon.com/Get-Your-Mind-Into-Life/dp/1572244259
I got mine from Kombucha Kamp’s website. Also, I’ve seen at least two of the more popular YouTube guides references this same Amazon scoby: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ZW8RP4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OM-LCbTK7PA33
Personally I was a bit more hesitant with Amazon as the reseller isn’t at control of the warehouse temperature. There’s also a scoby subreddit for those looking for one I believe. Also maybe worth mentioning is many users claim you can jump a batch with a bottle of plain GT and a little extra time (I’m sure it’d work with enough effort, just something I’ve never done).
I really hate fireworks and so do my dogs. This sound machine was the best $50 I ever spent. Doesn’t always help, but if I start it before the fireworks (or a storm) starts, they barely notice the sounds. link on amazon
Hey, I'm digging where you are going with this, but pulse oximeters are pretty cheap on Amazon
Challenge the guy to a bet. Say a few hundred dollars. Have them wear a mask in a hot place and use the finger meter.
Easiest money you would ever make. Because the guy you are responding, isn't going to go looking for information you didn't bother linking to. And it's likely he wouldn't believe it even if you did.
I have been using AirVPN for around 2 years and it has been pretty awesome. They are based in Italy, but they have servers all over the world with relatively low latency. I consistently get around 65/6 Mbps out of my 60/5 Mbps Spectrum connection when using AirVPN. AirVPN supposedly doesn't keep logs, either.
AirVPN is based on OpenVPN, which uses SSL encryption (can use TOR or SSH), and it's easy to configure and use. It can be used on Linux, too.
EDIT: Reddit Post Juxtaposing AirVPN and PIA
Yeah, most people don't even know what a VPN is, let alone why you'd want one. I'm also looking into AirVPN as they're not US based and seem to have a lot of good reviews. I'm sure the recent law that got passed is great for the VPN companies.
I know this isn't free but I thought this was a good deal on Amazon and since you can't make the exchange: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CAL1EMY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have replaced every bulb in my house November of 2016 and only replaced the porch lights once probably because they are on constantly and subject to outdoor temps. Our living room lamp stays on and has been going for two years.
If the shed will be in the sun, a ridge vent with the two included wall vents would help keep it cooler. If they don't provide you with a quality hasp, I have been happy with this one: https://www.amazon.com/ABUS-140-120-Weather-Stainless/dp/B004C47L8E
The treated wood floor might not be worth the extra cost if you don't expect it to get wet or if you won't be putting heavy things in your shed. My shed actually has water running under it when it rains and I store motorcycles in it in the winter so I wanted the extra strength of treated plywood. You could also just lay down an extra layer of plywood wherever you store heavy stuff.
If you are in need of a modem that supports 16 downstream channels, I have a lightly used Motorola MB7420 I will sell you for cheap. I had it for a few months, and after fighting 3 months with Spectrum to fix chronic service issues, I got frustrated and replaced everything on my end to prove it wasn't my equipment (turned out it wasn't my stuff.)
I ordered mine yesterday, from the place with the highest ratings but are out until the 15th. I assume it's the same one you're referring to here?
Yesterday I got a message from amazon along the lines of "good news, you will receive your glasses faster than expected" Amazon also went ahead and expedited the order to two day shipping for me without having to pay for it.
> Daisy Shelton was the paternal grandmother of serial rapist Ronnie Shelton
Apparently there's a book that goes into detail about this:
https://www.amazon.com/Unfinished-Murder-Pursuit-Serial-Rapist-ebook/dp/B00TRP50XG
Sorry, I misunderstood what I saw before about TPMS on the Odyssey. It was actually related to the run-flat tire option and TPMS is tied into this so I had things mixed up.
As WindWalkerWoosh said, they're about $30/ea and that's for genuine Honda parts (https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Honda-42753-SWA-316-Sensor-Assembly/dp/B007S0ERWC). I'd buy them and take them to a tire shop when you get new tires. They shouldn't balk about installing "someone else's parts" when they're OEM Honda parts still in the original packaging.
Not free, but I just finished Blood in the streets ...they have a few copies in the library system. It's not a very cheery book, but a well written engaging narrative of race riots and a serial killer in Dayton in the late 60's 70's. Pretty interesting to read real history about the immediate area (East and West Dayton).
