I'm very lucky through my work to have seen football matches at a lot of different stadia - my current tally is 117 grounds on Football Ground Map, which is an excellent website and a lot of fun. There are a few places in Austria and Netherlands where I've seen pro teams play friendly games but that aren't on that site unfortunately.
For a lot of English fans, 'the 92' is the ambition - seeing a game at each ground of the four professional divisions. I'm on 78.
My fav is still St James' Park (Newcastle United). The stadium looms over the centre of the city, the stands are right next to the pitch, and it doesn't feel 'tired' in the way some historic grounds do - Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, Hillsborough, etc. Special mention for Gayfield Park (Arbroath) which is one of my favourite little grounds. Bags of character and literally yards from the sea, a real delight.
You might like British Football's Greatest Grounds. I know the author - it was released this month and it's a delight for anyone who appreciates these theatres if football!

Wait what do you think of these? https://www.amazon.com/Under-Armour-Mens-Force-3-0/dp/B01M0JJDJ1?crid=1MRYC73E7VZUG&keywords=soccer+cleats+under+armour&qid=1534455720&sprefix=soccer+cleats+under&sr=8-2&ref=mp_s_a_1_2
I bought these base layers from TESLA on Amazon for $20 a top. They fit great. And keep me warm. Im living in a very cold state. I wear them under my regular clothes all the time. I also use Under Armour so to each their own.

EDIT: it was $20 and free shipping with Prime.
When I used to play, my coach gave me special glasses to wear because I was like you always looking down at the ground when I have the ball at my feet (not even dribbling).
It's like eyeglasses but it has no lens and instead has a lid cover that cancels the lower part of your vision. It was not successful with me :) but it might help you.

Hi guys, i am researching the impact of football stadiums on their local areas for my uni dissertation. If you could spare 1 minute to fill out this short survey to help me i would be really grateful. Thanks to those who have already filled it out.
Thanks very much!
I know it's hard to say who will go through and who will lift the World Cup in 2018. Still, as I run a Predict & Win Contest, 33% of the responders put their money on Brazil to win this time! Is it?

>as the game evolves tactically you learn to appreciate the game as it was just before the new era.
Yeah, I did read a bit of Inverting the Pyramid (didn't finish the book though), it's very interesting how tactics evolved over time.

>To get closer to your point, I’d say watch games with an expectation of the style/tactic and not the outcome.
How do you suggest I get informed about the usual style / tactic of a team? Do you have any solid sources / resources / tips?
Thanks for the input!
I just recently read How Soccer Explains the World. It's less about tactics and more about the global impact of the game, but it's very interesting and contains a lot of very helpful and important info.

Hehe, this depends on the tactic used indeed as was mentioned. In the Netherlands teams generally try to do the short version, but it also runs the risk of the opposition pressuring you right away so you have to pass well to get out from under the pressure. At for example Ajax the long ball is used as a last solution. English football is more kick and rush by nature anyway, so the kick forward is more ingrained
But not everything makes sense in soccer. For example it was found out that statistically it makes senses to take short corners (so no swinging into the box), but no one does that consequently. Reference: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Numbers-Game-Everything-Football/dp/0670922242
