And yet Mainstream Media is talking about Voter ID.
"Trump claims you need ID to buy groceries. You do not.".
Had he not made that "mistake" lamestream wouldn't have picked up on this issue at all.

Are you seriously asking me how does creating chaos and eroding faith in institutions in an adversarial state benefit Russia?
I'll give you a couple examples:
1) Weakening of sanctions against Russia related to their annexation of Crimea
2) Lending a "friendly" hand to Trump could lead to the repeal of the Magnitsky Act. Coincidentally that's the one thing Don Jr admitted to talking about with that Russian lawyer in the meeting that "had never happened" (until it was proven to happen.) Why is the Magnitsky Act a key element? Well, I'll let the proponent of the Act explain it in detail but the short version is this: the Magnitsky Act has frozen billions of dollars suspected to belong to Putin and some of his proxies.
3) A weakened US and a weakened European Union is good news for Russia. Countries that would otherwise align with the US or EU in the global stage would more easily be swayed to align with Russia instead. For example, Turkey has gotten chummy with Russia again, which could translate into arms deals, support for Russia in Syria, etc.
To be honest, I think 2) is probably the biggest reason. It's not surprising at all that meeting with Don Jr happened when it happened. The best part: by taking that meeting, stupid Jr put himself in a position to be blackmailed, which was a double-whammy for Russia.
Does that answer your question?
Neither itunes nor Youtube are obligated to provide a platform for Jones to publish. Most of my few posts here on this sub are in opposition to the types of guys you are arguing with, but neither youtube nor itunes are required to publish any particular bit of content. (And in the case of itunes, my understanding is that they essentially just curate rss links - they don't actually host/publish the podcasts anyhow.)
>I'm asking who's job is it to determine who gets to control what media I am able to consume?
When nearly everyone in the world made the itunes podcast list king, and it became the source for nearly all podcast apps, we gave this power to Apple.
When nearly everyone in the world decided that Youtube was going to be the only video hosting site that would get enough traffic for creators to make money from it, we gave this power to youtube.
I'm not saying this is OK. We do this over and over and over again with internet-age things it seems. We put all our eggs in one basket because we think this basket is so trustworthy and secure - then we lose our shit when it starts throwing some of the eggs out.
And I should mention that I'm not a fan of AJ at all. BUT those things need to happen for the benefit of everyone, not just the people I agree with.
Apple and Youtube aren't stopping AJ from publishing. They just aren't helping him do it anymore. Nor are they required to.
Also, I'm betting there are RSS feed links that still work. But 75% of people probably have no idea whatsoever what to do with those.
This is good for some of the older ones, but if you want a newer one, /u/Saskatoonguy, your best bet is to mark the time they play the jingle, download the mp3 of the whole show, and extract it using audio software such as the free yet highly functional Audacity.

tl;dr No more end to end encryption. If there is encryption the company providing the encryption must be able to decrypt it for the government on command.
Yeah, I was just thinking out loud. The heart attack gun was the first thing I thought of when I saw the news and given his background.

The speculation that the interest in alternate universe coincides with the Amazon TV Show based on PKDicks's Man in the high castle as lefties tend to like scifi, and have Amazon services.
Oddly enough from another 'friend' I also got the alternate universe spiel. It really is a thing.
Boston and NYC hit 70 degrees in January but hey, as long as oil companies are making a shit ton of money and the mudflats are still around, might as well ignore all of that, amirite?

I was particularly struck by this quote:
> We have in our nation an established religion. It’s not Christianity. Jeremy Gunn calls it American National Religion. It has—consists of the unholy trinity of governmental theism, military supremacy and an understanding of capitalism as freedom.
The Jeremy Gunn book is Spiritual Weapons: The Cold War and the Forging of an American National Religion (Religion, Politics, and Public Life). Have they ever mentioned this book on the show? It sounds like a relevant read. Trouble is, it's a little pricey, even in Kindle format.
