Yep, Notion is free for educ accounts https://www.notion.so/product/notion-for-education.

I would recommend using this site: https://www.codewars.com/
It has short tasks for you to do through code. It gradually gives you more and more challenging tasks, so you will always be improving. Also, after solving each task, look at the codes that are considered "Best Practices" and think about why they are considered such.
And if you have specific questions about C++/Python, feel free to ask me.
Lol. First sem freshie enlistment dati, may dedicated na araw a month prior nung regular enrolment. Dun palang, wala akong makuhang required GRE subjects kaya gumamit na ko ng Free Choice units. Tapos yung ibang subjects ko naman kung kani-kaninong block napunta. Blockless misplaced freshie ang labas. Hahaha
As a blockless freshie... HAHAHAH i feel u. I'm apping to an org rn though! People are nice!
Sa GEs naman, I have just one person from one class that I have lunches with. Just said hello and the rest came after that. Blockless din siya at different course. Mag sama sam tayo guys.
I'm extremely shy though! And I have anxiety! Hhh. To the point that I STOOD outside a class I was 20 minutes late for and just kind of went away because jut thinking of going in made me hyperventilate. Never again hhahahq pota. It's hard but friendships will come.
I assume you just want to learn the basics. I never really watched videos to learn how to code. I find reading and coding to be more helpful. For Python 2, I used Codecademy. I only know C++ not C, but this https://www.dipmat.univpm.it/~demeio/public/the_c_programming_language_2.pdf should be enough to get started with C. You can just google more pdfs for any language you want to learn if you don't like these. Also, download this https://zealdocs.org/, it helps a lot. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.
virtual hugs to you OP!!
It’s good that you don’t keep your feelings bottled up inside. You really have to let them out. Have you tried keeping a journal? Penzu is great and it’s online! I always found writing to be comforting.
Yeah falling in love with the wrong person sucks talaga.. it may feel like you’ll never be able to move on but i believe that in time, it will hurt less.
Rereading my past entries sa Penzu and ngayon nagccringe nalang ako hahaha. It’s comforting to read din kasi from the position I’m in now, I can happily say na it doesn’t hurt anymore. Hope u can give it a shot!
It’s a cliché, pero time heals all wounds. Makakabangon ka rin uli :”)
Block: An option for freshmen. You enlist for a group of courses instead of individual ones. You have blockmates that have the same weekly schedule, take the same group of courses, meet the same professors, and your blockmates are from the same degree program. You have the convenience of not having to individually enlist for courses. The tradeoff is it's harder to build a weekly schedule around a block if the remaining blockless courses don't have a convenient spot to be scheduled in. If you dislike one of the courses that are part of the block, you can't avoid enlisting that course, you can only avoid enlisting the whole block.
Blockless: UP's default option. You enlist for individual courses. You have no blockmates. Your coursemates likely will have different weekly schedules, take different courses, meet different professors, and your coursemates are likely from different degree programs (unless you're in higher year majors). You have the freedom to build your own weekly schedule, choose your preferred courses, and the professors you take. The tradeoff is the fighting the demand of slots and RNG when enlisting from CRS.
I think I can say for many that most people prefer taking a block if they have the option to pick a block because it's convenient.
Being in a block just means that you're a part of a group that takes the same set of classes with the same schedule (not all, usually 3-4). Blockless just means wala kang group na ganon and you enlist on your own
got my notion templates here but late ko na rin sya nauupdate tho pag super busy kase wala ng time magorganize pa pero its a good way to keep track of the things u need to do. ewan ko parin anong effective sakin but pag kaya ko na sya gawin ngayon, i try to do it though madali ako madistract and madalas procrastination nalang talaga
For managing stuff, try Obsidian with calendar + day planner + templater plugins. May learning curve sa simula pero sobrang efficient niya pag sanay ka na. It's also great for journalling, project management, even essay, research writing, & building your own personal wiki. Its main premise is you can link notes to other notes.
You can also try Notion (better for project management) & RemNote (better for learning & memorizing), but Obsidian can do all of these with plugins & is extremely flexible (pwede rin naman lahat, i use all 3). Obsidian & RemNote IMO are perfect with your topic hopping tendencies because they go with it rather than against it, unlike other note-taking apps which have more fixed workflows, or paper planners (i love them pero hassle magbura kasi paiba iba isip ko haha). All of these are mostly free!
Actually, very beginner-friendly ng canva! Kung kailangan lang gumawa ng filler pubs na mabilisan lang, kayang-kayang gawin sa canva without heavily relying on the templates. One thing lang na ayoko sa canva is wala siyang layer system. :((
Pero pag standard, event pubmats, you could use photoshop and illustrator. Kung wala kang access sa kanila, you could use a similar online editor like photopea; very similar siya with photoshop’s interface. If your event pubmats require original illustrations, try to install painting softwares such as krita, medibang, clip studio paint, and paint tool sai.
Sa personal learning naman about graphic design, madalas tumitingin ako ng inspiration sa pinterest, behance, twitter, and ig pagdating sa iba’t-ibang themes. Kapag may nagustuhan kang theme/style that requires a certain technique to achieve, puwede mo siyang i-search sa youtube kasi marami namang videos about it. It would help you greatly kung may background or affinity ka for digital art din kasi in my experience, mas naiintindihan ko how editing softwares work and what technique should I apply to get my desired results. Also try to search for artists/designers on social media para ma-expose ka lalo sa different themes and sa process din ng ibang artists.
Good luck, OP! Doing graphic design can be a rewarding and fun experience!
Yes, and this can be easily confirmed. For example, in Harvard's CS50 course, the lecturer explained new concepts to Harvard students like they were 5-year olds and even started with a very child-friendly platform - Scratch, an introductory programming language developed by MIT to help children understand programming concepts.
Meanwhile, in the Philippines they start teaching programming concepts with Java, C++ or any established-programming languages on the first day of class and in some universities, they even start discussing advanced concepts like OOP in the first term which scare students away from the program.
Also, what's with the obsession of giving students so much workload with unrealistic deadlines. This I think is very ineffective.
Hello! I am also a student from UPLB and here's the link regarding all information and FAQs about the strike: https://www.notion.so/WelgaUPLB-Information-Page-24e4fd0986e849a091482dc8a4796b44
It will answer your questions such as, "Kelangan ko ba talaga itigil magpasa ng requirements, exam, at quiz, at hindi dumalo sa synch meetings?" "Paano masasabi na nagtagumpay ang strike?" "Ano ang pahayag ng mga propesor sa strike? Suportado ba nila ito?"
There's also a section on the said link, kung paano gagawin yung strike, and the dates to remember :) I hope the information can help you make a decision if you'll join the strike or not!
There are lots of tutorials online, like on https://www.overleaf.com/learn/latex/Tutorials
Personally, I only followed a tutorial until I was able to make a simple LaTeX document on my own. After that, I just search on the internet if I want to do something more specific that I don't know how to do yet.
Another way would be to look at other people's works and copy from those what you need.
Try uninstalling unneeded programs and disable running on startup of programs you don't need running at startup. https://www.shouldiremoveit.com/ https://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/
My current reading. Not exactly multidisciplinary in the sense I think you're going for, but it has implications for these fields and is very interesting nonetheless. :)
(Linked to Amazon bc convenient pero it's available naman on Libgen)
NordVPN. I'm going to assume you need torrenting for academic pursuits.
Pero really, a VPN should always be used whenever the internet bandwidth allows. I got a subscription cheap for 3 years from a promo.
