I'm about to graduate university this coming week, and it would make a stellar gift, just saying ;-)
In all seriousness, been here since day 1, helped donate to that snoop project and coded a rainmeter POTCOIN ticker for windows desktop and contribute here actively.
So I guess I nominate myself. :-)
Easiest way without going to an exchange would be to use https://shapeshift.io - depending how much you are doing it may or may not be worth going LTC > BTC > POT using an exchange to get a better rate.
Are you referring to https://potwallet.com/trade/buy ?
PotWallet is a P2P trading platform much like localbitcoins where users can set their buy and sell price.
If you are looking for the LIVE market price I would suggest looking here: https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_pot
Hope this helps :-)
Thank you. I agree with both your points, and I think those are key fundamentals we need to accomplish that will help with liquidity, awareness of the coin (more exposure), and hopefully merchant adoption. As far as a roadmap goes, these two should be at the top, in that order. Get listed on multiple major exchanges will increase our exposure, increase the number of holders of Potcoin, increase the value, and probably generate at least a few small (weed-related) merchants.
But even with being listed on exchanges and having merchant applications, what incentive do merchants have to accept Potcoin over bitcoin or other cryptos? We need something in addition liquidity to drive merchant adoption. Some differentiation or value added. Getting traders and potential end users isn't a challenge compared to persuading a real business to actually accept Potcoin in exchange for goods or services.
I suppose to address this one of the key merchant applications might need to be a payment processor similar to Coinbase's (https://coinbase.com/merchants), which converts BTC to USD automatically, and thereby drastically reducing risk to the business. A similar application for POT would make merchant adoption low risk for merchants and drive adoption (though I'm not a huge fan of instant conversion, I think it can have some adverse effects on a crypto currency, but that's probably a topic for another discussion).
Torrenting books is the best option. Just search crypto, and bitcoin. Then delve into web searching; Looking up Winki pages, and visiting other alt coin sites as well. Good Luck in your ventures! https://thepiratebay.org/search/bitcoin/0/99/0
Also in case anyone is interested Coursera.org is offereing a Cryptograhy course online at https://www.coursera.org/course/cryptography (starts March 9th) They have lots of good content actually. Its worth checking out, your brain will thank you.
I have not seen anyone publish this but me, I put this on steemit also https://steemit.com/potcoin/@willybobob/how-to-stake-potcoins-for-full-5-annual-interst
This works for me to get the 5% , when you turn the wallet back on you receive the correct amount you should. I have been doing this and it's working
For this campaign though, I would just put up $1 or even go pump any coin faucets associated with coins covered by https://shapeshift.io/ -- because they can be instantly turned into potcoin. There are lots of ways of making streams of revenue online. I do it all day.
Dude, the main mining pool for hempcoin is at diff 0.44
https://coinmarketcap.com/all.html doesn't have it on there...
Not on coinwarz.
there's talk it's premined.
ick?
You can get potcoin on Binance Exchange. You will need to get some BTC, ETH, or BNB to exchange it for potcoin. If you don't have any I would recommend Coinbase or Gemini for a quick transaction . Here's links to coinbase and binance : https://www.binance.com/?ref=11011782

Love this idea. OpenBazaar looks very cool as a decentralized marketplace. I think I read Potlabs might be looking into this but not sure. Maybe you could collaborate with them or something?
You could try this out. https://electrum.org/#home
I've never used and have not dowloaded it, but have read about for similar situation to yours. I have no clue if they have a synced Potion QT wallet.
All right. Looks decent enough. Have you tried compiling it again?
ls -lha potcoin/src/qt/locale/
should look like this: http://pastebin.com/K78mcXbE Are all files there?
EDIT: If you haven't found it already this package in the AUR contains the missing lrelease binary: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/qt4/

Maybe use the windows users as an opportunity to teach:

Security by obfuscation is even better.
There might be a fork in the network. I might be wrong but it will probably not happen anything until the newer and older clients disagree on something, then we might see a hard fork like what happened with bitcoin.
But one thing of this type of RSS feed is that feed publishing litteraly everything like tweets & retweets, and if i tweet has a lot of retweets - its spam flood happens ;] For now can't find out how to filter ...
