> The signs and symptoms of a concussion can be subtle and may not show up immediately. Symptoms can last for days, weeks or even longer.
Delayed onset for concussions is pretty common, just because she didn't want to stop working doesn't mean her injury wasn't serious.
I read an interpretation, I can't remember where, that suggested this song is the viewpoint of the other person in the relationship from "Leg of Lamb"
> In a hotel, on the phone
> "I'm gonna leave you"
> I should have known
Edit: It was on Rock Genius
On a side note, > No more pictures, we ain't friends
reminds me of
> She said "I'll throw myself away, they're just photos after all"
from "Go With the Flow"
One of their absolute best songs. The riff is incredible, the bass line is one of Nick's finest and the percussion really adds a lot to the track. The production is top notch (especially the way everything bar the drums and vocals are faded out at one point) and it's just such a great, experimental song. The song also features some lyrics borrowed from Bjork, which is interesting. You can hear the two seconds side by side here

Currently unavailable for me. I actually have physical copies of everything else. It actually makes more sense to go digital for me in this instance, but that wasn't available.
But yeah, just a "dumb kid".
I made this :-). It's also featured on NME today: http://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/somebody-mashed-up-queens-of-the-stone-age-with-adele-and-made-no-one-knows-into-a-bond-theme
and you can download it on HearThis : https://hearthis.at/dj-poulpi/no-one-knows-when-the-sky-falls-qotsa-vs-adele/
On April 13, packages were sent to selected winners containing a CD entitled You Know What You Did with the sole track "Era Vulgaris" featuring Trent Reznor, which Homme separately confirmed would not be appearing on the record, although it was included as a bonus track on the UK edition. The CD was accompanied by a handwritten letter asking fans to share the song in any way possible
From the looks of it, it doesn't seem like QOTSA released the track on vinyl at all. The song was meant to be free anyways and people only got CDs with the track in it. Sorry man, maybe you can find a bootleg.
This site has all the official information on the track including the original MP3.
Lifting a portion of Kocani Orkestar's "L'orient Est Rouge" for "Run, Pig, Run" on EV, with no explanation or context given.
check this site out. http://genius.com It's not just lyrics. people compile annotations to the songs and lyrics to unravel the meanings and context behind them. dig through http://genius.com/artists/Queens-of-the-stone-age here's an example.
The track title, Kalopsia, was given to Homme by Arctic Monkeys frontman, Alex Turner.
"It was sparked from a phone conversation between the two when Josh asked Alex for a good line ‘ Kalopsia’ was what he was given and asked ‘ What the hell’s that?’ to which Alex explained ‘it’s a condition wherein everything seems more beautiful than it actually is"

>According to producer Christopher Goss, the song was originally conceived as a chant and a “joke song” to tack onto the end of the album. It seems highly likely that the reprise of this song was the first to be written, with the full song being developed later on.
I was at the show. My buddy who's a sound technician for CBS Late Show got me in, I'll ask if he has access to the audio files from the show and I'll report back.
Like another redditor said, you don't want to compress a YouTube vid to MP3, when it was already compressed by YouTube and even earlier compressed by CBS. Recipe for crap. Use that as a last resort.
Edit: just spoke to my buddy, he couldn't share unfortunately for fear of causing trouble, but sent me the link to the HQ video of the late show full set, (link doesn't seem to work on mobile unless you show as desktop version) maybe one of you is clever enough to extract the HQ audio from from this original source rather than the YouTube reproduction. Any takers??
Edit 2: boy, this is an enthusiastic community, so many people offering their help! /s. It looks like I figured out how to extract it myself, it's converting at the moment. Soon as it's finished I'll put it in the cloud and share the link with you guys.
Edit 3: Delivered, OP! I uploaded the original .flv audio/video extraction (best quality; not converted. will likely only play in vlc), an mp4 version of the video for easy compatibility (about youtube quality maybe better), an AAC version of the audio, (damn good quality, at least 5 times better than youtube), and a FLAC version for you FLAC freaks (although it is, after all converted from a .flv so, whatever). Link to folder
Enjoy!
You could focus on that, or you could focus on the fact that, according to Alexa, only about 58% of Reddit visitors are from the US (which means 42% are not, just in case).
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/reddit.com
Regarding the second part of your comment... completely irrelevant. You'd do exactly the same at /r/arcticmonkeys for example (which are English, again just in case)
This is god-like, thanks!
If you want to keep it for posterity you can download the video and the audio separately off of YouTube and merge it into one neat file using open-source software called ffmpeg.
First you download the files by placing "ss" in front of "youtube" in the link and then download the files using the site and then use ffmpeg:)
Edit: I'm uploading it now to mega.co.nz for the lazy ones :P This is a tuberip so don't expect a miracle - we would get one if we got the source.
Here's the link:) https://mega.nz/#!30YwTb7I!nEE2sapU3F41QLMONrSk6RKwFfH6PQt_WSetuBPIAmg
I've never heard of a demo of Running Joke with the samples you mention but there is a demo here which is excellent. It's the only demo of the song that I'm aware of. Credit to /u/sparna for the sharing the demo.
The uploader of the videos has these links in the description box
Who knows, maybe there's some sort of magical way for files to be transferred from one website to a person's computer? ;)
You can get the CD and vinyl on amazon for £20 - 30. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rated-Rx-Queens-Stone-Age/dp/B003MPIO08/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1525106795&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=queens+of+the+stone+age+rated+r+deluxe+vinyl
I was obsessed with Led Zeppelin in high school and I still am a huge fan. JPJ is criminally underrated as a musician. Do yourself a favor and read Hammer of the Gods by Stephen Davis. So many stories about this band.
Sounds like you got this version. It's not particularly rare and the value medians at $5.37 so you didn't exactly get a bargain but you didn't hugely over pay and you have got yourself a great version of the album!
I hate to be that guy, but he completely mangled his "first album"... Alternative Tentacles put out Not So Quiet on the Western Front , not Eastern Front, which came out on Enigma. The former had a Flipper track, but neither comp had D.O.A. on it, and neither were live compilations.
yep it was, not in the best quality tho.. https://uloz.to/!4Y28zooQ5CSC/2017-10-05-alligator-hour-with-joshua-homme-season-2-episode-29-mp3 I hope someone can rip it nice this time, it sucks a lot to miss these
Click here for the full thing. I ripped the audio, seperated the tracks, and tried to cut out as much of the announcer as I could.
http://www.allmusic.com/artist/queens-of-the-stone-age-mn0000376422/discography Very good place to understand more or less what it is ... But I assure you that Lollabies TP is an extraordinary excellently produced album and a person has to listen often to realize demension of this album. Rated R was the album that made me love the QOTSA 16 years ago. Era Vulgaris is a very misunderstood album, and is also excellent, it's strange to many people, and that strange sound pleases me most...
I love this song, but then again, I love all QOTSA songs, haha. It's not close to my favorite QOTSA song, personally, but that's a pretty high bar. Lanegan does a fantastic job with the vocals, like he always does. He also co-wrote the song, which is definitely interesting when you consider its lyrics. Pretty sure it's
>They don't know, I*'d* never do you any good
then
>Ain't gonna worry
I can't tell if Lanegan sings "Just live till you die" then carries the "i" sound into "wanna drown" or if it's meant to be a separate "i" sound from "die" to "I wanna drown" that he just didn't take a break/breath between. That one might not matter either way. The Genius lyrics page for this song also has some cool ideas about the lyrics:
http://genius.com/Queens-of-the-stone-age-in-the-fade-lyrics/
It's an unofficial release so you should be able to find every track elsewhere...
Such as here
Hi fella, not me selling but follow below link as there's a lad selling 3 Dublin tix. If they are gone check Gumtree regularly as this is usually pretty good. Good luck :)
I use this tab for the desert sessions version. I feel like the guitar is a lot sexier in this version. Hopefully this is what you're after.

The self titled can be purchased direct from the label in CD/Vinyl/MP3, all three formats can also be purchased through amazon.
Apparently we need to sticky this...
I had a CD of this. In my old truck and it got jammed up cause I always listened to it. Also a DVD. I need to buy a new copy.

Don't let it get to you (I know easy to say right?) I watched this clip from Rogan a while back on being the hero of your own movie. To not define yourself by past events and If you your life was a movie that started now, what would the hero do to dig himself out of this? So what if you get the blues? Anyone trying to carve their path in this world with a rabid desperation always has the blues. because if they don't, they get complacent and nothing gets done. "If you don't got the blues, you snooze." You already idolize my favorite human that's ever lived, but what makes Josh stand out is primarily his work ethic and personality. He's said before how much Carlin influenced his sense of humor and charisma. That it's not enough to just be great at your craft -which is true when you consider that almost all other rockstars have the personality of a burrito wrap. So your temple should be your only investment. In that from here to the nearest star system, the most complex thing that we know of is between your ears and all people have to do is to sharpen it. BOOKS!! I highly recommend The War of Art by Steven Pressfield
Start from the beginning. Get the self titled album first then go from there.

They are all open. I keep them in plastic sleeves to try and preserve them.
That was pressed a while ago.. the music on vinyl one. The recent repressing is the same track listing as the og vinyl.

Having only one album song + bonus tracks on the last side is just weird... they could have put the bonus tracks there and the rest could take three sides. It's even worse than I thought it'd be...
https://www.discogs.com/fr/Queens-Of-The-Stone-Age-Songs-For-The-Deaf/release/3845829
And again, no, I think that album is particularly unfit for vinyl pressing. It's meant to be listened from beginning to end (or right before Mosquito), no pause.
Having vinyl version of albums just for the sake of it is just short-sighted if there's no reflection about how to make it relevant under that format. They might as well release 12'' posters of the artwork plus a booklet maybe and a download code, if the only interest is about having albums that size well sorted into your Ikea cube storage so you can show it to your friends or some random hipster passing by... :)
Don’t know about the “free sharing” policy on other songs, but look carefully. At least I managed to find it.
Design a QotSA tattoo for me! I'll reward you with imaginary internet points. I've been considering the SftD pitchfork, the Era Vulgaris lightbulb guy (the pirate one), or a disembodied hand holding a 5 card poker hand. Two "3's" two "7's" and a Queen.
Or did you mean wondering on what medium to draw? Generally any acid-free paper works fine. I recomend something like this.
is this the complete tour dates?
If so, I'm super-bummed because they're not coming to Arizona. San Bernardino, CA is only a 5-hour drive for me, but that bumps up the costs considerably. Fuck.
Here you go. For future reference, try Google's Reverse Image Search.
I learned it off this Songsterr tab. As a whole, the song isn't entirely accurate, mainly the lead part during the bridge, but the solo sounds pretty accurate to me.

While I agree vinyl is way overpriced than what it used to be, a legit copy of SftD in the past would likely cost you hundreds, and it's only & $26 on Amazon
No worries...
Keeping the prints rolled up in shipping tubes can damage the prints as well. It can cause issues as well when you attempt to remove them from the tube after a while.
The best this you can do for storage is buy a portfolio so you can store the prints flat and out of the sunlight.
You can get a pretty good quality portfolio here. $40

According to the booklet, the original photo it's from Mark Gabor's 1972 Photography book "The Pin Up: A Modest History".
I really think it's a hoax, but it would be really cool if she was.
It's just the album. The deluxe version is the same red: http://www.amazon.com/Like-Clockwork-Queens-Stone-Age/dp/B00C9U9YOC/ref=sr_1_1_twi_lp__3?ie=UTF8&qid=1464369714&sr=8-1&keywords=...like+clockwork
