patreon really is the only option for creators like him. The people who make the most money on youtube are people who upload 10, 15, or 30min videos on a daily basis. All youtube cares about is if people watch the ads or not. With his one video a week there is just no way just youtube ad money will support him. That is why Patreon is so popular with animators coughcough plagueofgripesshoutout coughcough and other people who make good content but just can't put them out in that daily fashion that makes you money. Or he will have to shill for corporate sponsors. Youtube has talked about adding a "tip" donation system, but nothing real has come of it.

Yeah!! It's got so much history around it, there's a whole book I bought about just that car. If you're in to automotive history, I highly recommend it. There is so much out there to learn about so many things, it's part of what makes cars great IMO. :)
