The Rivermist retaining wall failure. The developer bought back the houses and then resold them two years later. I looked at one of them when I was looking to buy a house in 2012. I asked for an engineering/inspection report on the repairs and they never provided anything... noped out of there real quick.
Heck Yeah!
ProTip: If you are going to wear them a lot then make sure you:
Break them in by wearing them some this week.
Pack a blister kit.
First thing you need to know is that you need a dashcam with a capacitor instead of a battery.
Capacitors will stand up to the heat, batteries will wear quick, bloat, and make your device virtually unusable.
For about a year I have had the Viofo A119 (Spytec is just a reseller, its the exact same product just in a Spytec box, full warranty/support from Viofo)
Great camera, top of the line video quality and hardware. /r/Dashcam is like half viofo circlejerk
That AC is broken. You should temp the air coming out of the vents, it should be in the '50's mid-range.
Honestly, get on meetup.com, look for groups that are into the same hobbies as you and attend. Go to local comic book shops, go to the penny arcade expo, south by southwest in Austin, etc. But, also, hit the gym. Make yourself your best self and don't sell yourself short. You're a successful guy with a stable career and no debt. Drop a few pounds, build up confidence, and find someone that shares your interests.
Hey /u/GabbyDLP can y'all please, please, PLEASE rethink and remove using this image on your weekly sticky https://snipboard.io/2w4zsY.jpg since it's the first image new users see when they join this subreddit on mobile? It's extremely racist, out of date, and just not a look good for us if we're trying to be a welcoming community for all San Antonian Redditors.
Tap water can get contaminated by inland flooding, sewage leaks, damage to pipes from the storm, or cause low water pressure which harms the system's ability to keep water safe for drinking.
Probably because average temperature for this part of November is middle 70s, right where it has been this week.

The guy was asking about San Antonio, not Houston or Galveston or Port Aransas.
I was here when Harvey hit Houston and we got half an inch of rain at my place (North Central).

Do you live here? Were you here last year?
Twenty-two days in August were over 100 degrees.

I found her on Ancestry. I don’t see a Death Certificate, but there are a few family members, including an Ancestry user you could contact.
Sounds like a DNS issue. Maybe switch your DNS settings from Time-Warner's DNS to Google DNS? [edit] That's what I use and it pretty much eliminates any blind spots like you describe. You can make the switch temporarily and see if it makes a difference, if you are averse to letting Google be your DNS provider.

For around the house you could try to plant lavender or citronella to help keep them away from the home.
I really love Taco Haven and Taqueria Datapoint but I feel like if you haven't been there already and you've lived here that long, who the hell are you? So a less mentioned place that I think is great is Taqueria Jalisco near downtown. They just made a brand new restaurant and it's nice.
The construction of the first ship was documented. Pretty cool how they built it: USS San Antonio
Former El Paso transplant (of three years, fortunately) here as well.
Loads of meetup groups across Facebook groups and meetup.com that should surely have something you're interested in. If not, create your own.
There's also nothing wrong with being solitary.
It is. It's a datacenter, a coworker of mine used to work there. Here's my facility for comparison.
Feast is a blatant attempt to trick people into thinking they're related to Feast of Houston. They aren't. Houston-Feast is one of the most creative, interesting restaurants in the country and San Antonio-Feast is a pathetic attempt to ride their coattails. You don't borrow the name of one of the most revered restaurants in the state and claim ignorance.
Also, they're truly, truly mediocre at best.
Yeah, can't wait to see what the roof looks like in the morning. That'll be fun, I'm sure.
Y'all stay safe. According to this we might still be getting some heavy rain tonight :P
Yes, using a prius and taking the proper deductions is the only way this is a viable job. The expenses can add up a fair amount, and if I had to pay self-employment tax on all the income I make, I'd probably be losing money.
Another thing is that since this is contract work we get no benefits, so I have to save up to take a vaction. And I am lucky enough to currently be on my parents insurance. Thought that wont be the case for too much longer. Not sure how the math works out for other people, but for me it is actually perfect.
Though I do have to warn for anyone interested in working here, its hard to get hours sometimes. And I have had to resort to a modestly complex (or extremely complex if your not a computer person) method of checking for hours and accepting them as fast as possible.
It looks a little something like this
Hope there's no hail coming..
Edit: Just checked animated radar on wunderground; it's moving north for the most part so it doesn't look like we'll see much, if anything.
Friendly reminder: Charge all devices before the storm hits. If you lose cell phone reception or your battery is low and you don't want to waste it, you can create a Google account to make calls for free via Google hangouts to let people know you're safe (use your phone for internet sharing if you lose your internet connection).
Try diatomaceous eart. It'll be like they're walking on glass and shred them to hell.
If you have a smoke cigarette thingy (idk what they're called or what they're used for) Amazon has 13-15 dollar Bluetooth transmitter that has great quality and connects to it.
I personally have this one but there's others https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018E0I01I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_u736BbYJ87NBX
Pro tip if you buy a Pi: with a little technical know-how, you can set it up as a Pi Hole, which blocks ads for every device connected to your network. I've had one for years now and I can't see myself ever going back.
A few people, myself included, are upset about this because it's supposedly being built to serve as a base of operations for fracking in the Texas area, which is widely believed to be incredibly dangerous.

Have you checked Facebook groups? Might have some luck there. Also, have you considered starting your own group? A cost is involved if using Meetup.com, but it would be worth it.
Perhaps as an option: https://offerup.com/item/detail/878337672/
Some popular youtubers actually recommend a cheap cut of railroad track that you secure to a good sturdy base, and can work fairly well?
Be sure to go to those other 4 missions besides "The Alamo".
As far as beaches go, I went to corpus last year with my wife, and the beach there was nice, but this other beach I found outside of corpus, the sand was like baby powder.

Cons, it's not widely used, so affinity files will not open in PS.
But I never had problems sending my files to a print shop to get what I needed. There is an sub that can tell you more.

I just went over it again and saw that there are plenty of things I haven't tried like the 360 degree photo editing, I have to try that soon.
Also, one of my favorite Austin bands will be here on the 18th of Nov at Luna. They play swamp blues, hope you enjoy them as much as I do
Its making a comeback slowly, starting from the east side of the country and slowly going west. Sadly it looks like it died out at Louisiana, this is where amazon steps in.
I would like to make note that sadly they didn't have surge in liquid form in the coolers, but this will work for now.
You can jail break a fire stick then install a program called Mobdro. There is a channel within Mobdro called BT Sports that allows you to watch UFC and pay per view boxing for free. If you do this, be sure to load a VPN (very easy to do) I recommend IPVanish. This whole process takes like 10 minutes.

Where is the statistics that drinking before learning to drive is better? Drunk driving accidents have gone down since the drinking age was raised to 21
https://www.webmd.com/parenting/news/20080702/age-21-drinking-laws-cut-traffic-deaths
>So maybe we change the drinking beer age to 16 and the driving age to 18, wouldn't this be awesome
No that would totally suck. Driving has a practical purposes. It allows young people to work, to gain independence, and to help out with work in the family (like picking up siblings from school) if need be. Especially since most US cities don't have good public transportation. Drinking serves no real purpose other than that it's fun and objectively alcohol is extrodinarily bad for you (this isn't to shame people who drink because I drink as well but it is true).
I like the way it's done in Texas and Louisiana. You can drink in a restaurant if you're with your parents. I do think 21 is a little old, I would prefer 19-20 but I would never support 16 and sacrifice driving later.
Annette Krebs / Chris Cogburn / Dave Dove Trio w/ Heloise Gold

Siclovia is happening on Saturday.
That'll be about 10 miles from Retox ... sorry, I just had to :D
It is still my opinion that your account is highly self-promotional, and I do remove posts from people who's histories look like yours. Obviously, I can only apply this logic for those posts I actually investigate, I don't check the history of every single poster, primarily those that are reported... which yours was.
It's always worth reminding people that modding is not a full time job for any of us, and we're just trying to do our best to cultivate a productive forum for discussion and camaraderie with our spare time.
my friends record label sometimes does all ages shows.. you should check them out and keep an eye out for the all ages shows.
just got an event invite to this show that looks interesting. And i think its all ages. That's this Sunday and worth checking out.
hit up some shows and for certain, go to first Friday and network. There will be some good parties later that night with DJs and what not and those will be perfect opportunities for you to get to know the DJs and other people who throw parties and FB events and then get invited to them. 1st Friday especially is something you need to go to because its pretty much all all-ages and there are often parties to go to afterwards.
do you cycle?
if so there are some really big rides you can join that go all over town at night and are lots of fun.
during the day you should hit up Friendly Spot. Its in south town and its a nice place to sit on a patio and enjoy the day and a good bite of food.. also.. lots of members of the young and hip crowd hang out down there so its a good place to meet people. your BF can drink and you can have a soda or what not..
and then for sure.. the summer stuff like tubing the rivers is a must.
oh and if you are going to go to Austin.. make time to go for a swim at Barton Springs. LOTS and lots of people your age sunning and swimming..
oh i mean.. how many weeks from now... the wine tour starts on the 11th of Feb.. its kind of a coupley thing though so if its just dudes and nobody really drinks a lot of wine then skip it.
just hit up E-rock
Another good option though is Pedernales State Park.. the waterfall there is absolutely amazing. the pictures do not do it justice because you cannot see the scale of the thing.. its f-ing huge.
not sure about nightlife near by though.

Protip: Find the opening and then go to the website of the company and apply through their website. Don't bother applying for jobs on something like monster.com.
Good luck.
According to the calendar its Flipside
Honestly no idea , it was in the what do you mis about san antonio thread. Ill give the search a shot, but i have found its useless. '

Hotel Alsace & Spa Resort Excellent (Four star?) restaurant. I stop to eat there, every time I'm passing through Castroville, which is 30 minutes west on highway 90 from S.A. The hotel is on top of a hill, affording a view of S.A. you won't believe.. The view is especially nice during holidays when there are firework displays at the area bases, you can see three at once! Oh, and it's a spa!
Edit: I recommend the award-winning Jagerschnitzel..
For closures it should be:

^(Can ^be ^difficult ^sometimes ^if ^the ^roads ^are ^very ^close ^together, ^particularly ^with ^exit/entrance ^ramps)....
For other reports on mobile, its mostly the same.
You can make reports on a computer as well,
All reports are reviewed by volunteer map editors, they may have clarifying questions, if they do ask you follow up questions, its likely that no edits will be completed unless you respond.
What? Thats really insulting, instead of having people guess with these slow replies I would have gone to them so I can show them the issue. I wasn't asking for a hand out, I would have reimbursed them for their time.
But since you seem so high and mighty maybe you can figure it out via Reddit.
After running this section

When mounting the virtual kernal file system the system freezes but he output gives no error.
Now do you see why I didn't want to ask via Reddit?
I was working at the Citibank campus when it was evacuated yesterday. Here is a picture and a six second video I shot on my way out.
Nope, there really aren't any good stations. Every once in a while, the college station at SAC plays something worthwhile, but (a) that's rare, and (b) their range is so small you can't listen to them without major static outside of 410.
You can use your phone to listen to last.fm or Pandora or some other internet radio if your car stereo has support for that. If you have the technical know-how you can set up something like Subsonic to stream your personal music collection to your phone as well.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend trying out the Nextdoor app/website. You can connect with people in your immediate neighborhood and get this in front of more people in your area.
Hope you find your cat.
Do you only frequent establishments with the same beliefs as you? As a liberal atheist, I find that difficult.
If you're worried about supporting companies that don't have good track records with the ways they treat gays, you've got your work set out for you, starting with HEB.
Besides, the Brown story has been blown out of proportion and isn't quite correct.
Meetup.com has some amazing groups here in San Antonio. You will definitely find an opportunity to make some new friends. Some groups are diverse in age, while others will be closer to your's too. I have attended several meetups. The only advice I would offer when looking for a group, find one with lots of members that attend each event. There have been a couple of meetups I have attended where just 3 of us showed up.
I did find these on Amazon from the review, people are amazed to find them again. http://www.amazon.com/Fritos-Bar-b-q-Corn-Chips-9-25/dp/B005X3AXXI
Apparently, they do not typically sell BBQ and Chili Cheese in the same market at the same time. https://www.facebook.com/FritoLay/posts/507931819243197
A search on the Find Snacks function of Frito-Lay.com found no BBQ Fritos within 50 miles of San Antonio. But at least 26 locations stock Chili Cheese Fritos. So, I am going to guess that either we are in the Chili Cheese part of the cycle or that BBQ Fritos just don't sell well in San Antonio.
I'd probably suggest Culebra Meat Market. They have a big selection and locations pretty much everywhere in San Antonio.
Is Green/Verde Chorizo something you can just buy? I was under the impression you had to make it in a recipe.
Either way, I also found this Amazon link, not sure if this is what OP is looking for but.. :https://www.amazon.com/Bugonis-Sausage-Chorizo-Verde-Pork/dp/B00V5QIRAI
Something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/Trespassing-Soliciting-Violators-Will-Metal/dp/B00NX180HI
When I am delivering amazon packages to people with signs like this, it makes me uneasy, it seems considerably more likely that someone with a threatening sign is the kind of person who'll see a random mexican walking to their door and shoot first, ask questions later. Especially when I'm delivering after dark. I'm bothered enough that I'm like 90% convinces that I should just fling the packages from the sidewalk.
Edit: Most of the ones I see are of this variety: https://www.amazon.com/Nothing-This-House-Worth-Your/dp/B012U690CA/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1525812463&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=worth+your+life&psc=1
I don't know a local place to grab them, but I did find them on amazon if that helps.
It was Sunday, right? Lots of churches are buying up low-wattage FM transmitters and "broadcasting" their church services in their parking lots, so people can sit in their cars and tune in the services. There's a bunch of them for sale now on the usual shopping sites:
https://www.amazon.com/Retekess-Wireless-Broadcast-Transmitter-Station/dp/B088KLF8DJ/
I guess in COVID times this is now a thing.
Get yourself a local channel tv antenna to watch at home. This, or any alternative device you find, will allow you to watch FOX, ABC, NBC, and a lot more free local channels if you've got even just decent reception.
EDIT: The bot is right! Always use Amazon Smile!
It was this one, "Amazon renewed" supposedly so it was SUPPOSED to have been carefully inspected and all to make sure it works and no issues. Least to say, that wasn't done at least not all that well. Between 5-10mins the machine will make a tumble type of noise that you can actually feel on the ground, scuffs all over it, model # was sharpied over for whatever reason. I thought it was "prime" because it was being sold and shipped by Amazon but apparently it was a 3rd party seller
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SVNPLBG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XpWdFbE6PA9ZV
Not the same one as OP but I found this link on Amazon. Luby's Recipes & Memories: A Collection of Our Favorite Dishes and Heartwarming Stories https://www.amazon.com/dp/097881620X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_H3z2EbM4SP6X5
I have the same book with a lot of Luby’s Recipes in the Amazon link but I did not pay that much. I found mine at Half Price Books for 24.99.
I can't imagine how people are risking getting fines for torrenting when there's a simple solution - VPN. That's what you should do, too, actually, even if they aren't turning you over at the moment. Nowadays good services don't cost that much, and you can even find some offers from time to time. I'd recommend looking into NordVPN, they have quite a good price and quality ratio (also, heard that Cyberghost is pretty okay for some people).
I’ve had this one for three years and it’s served me well. It’s not the best but it would have definitely captured the license plate number in the OP scenario.
One time I found a nut in a chick fil a salad.
Not, like, a peanut. Or a tree nut.
At least I got a free meal when I told them, lol. And luckily I felt it in my mouth and didn't try to crunch down on it.
Changing your own oil isn't difficult. I recommend this oil drain pan: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JJ63RNS/
It doesn't have a lid, so you will have to dump it out after you drain your engine oil into it but it has high walls and it has a built in spout to pour it out. I've owned many drain pans but this thing rocks. I've had mine for years and it's held up great. I usually keep an empty oil container around from the last time I bought oil and pour it out using a funnel and take it to the parts store.
For oil filters, go OEM unless you really read up about oil filters. Some filters are rather generic with their bypass valve pressures and OEM filters are calibrated to your engine. This wasn't really that much of a concern with older cars but newer cars are more specific.

I'd like to add that some recent things I've seen happen is that thieves will photo the cards and put them back so that the owner thinks all is well. Most people will not cancel cards that aren't taken. In most cases, I'll refuse to let anyone handle my card if I cannot see it.
The other thing I've seen is that with these new NFC equipped cards is that sophisticated thieves will walk around with an NFC reader and harvest info by reading it wirelessly. As long as they are within proximity, they'll put it in a sleeve of a jacket, a back pocket, and scan away.
This is why I use an RF blocking wallet.
i think its curry in mayo....but what do i know? Take a look at the first image...
and a recipie. i may have to try some of these if i cant find anything local.
and yeah, L&R is mildly ok. i only went there for a Scorpions FC related event.
Try meetup.com
You can find an interest group and join in that activity.
For instance, if you are an avid bicyclist, there are bike groups.
Maybe you like pub quizzes, or are a fan of a particular genre, like science fiction.
Are into photography- there is probably a meetup for that too.
I got mine on sale at Costco for $200. Amazon wants $500 :(
Are you familiar with the YouTube channel How to Cook That? If you're into baking cakes and desserts, I think you'll really enjoy her content. She also has a recipe book available on Amazon!
That's the name but there is one closer to the Alamodome. Google says it's on 1430 E. Durango, SA, TX 78210 (google the address and you'll see some pics - for some reason I didn't see this location on yelp). I hope you have a good stay in town.
This is a link to Groupon. I was looking up Trampoline parks and Urban came up with a link for entry at $8.80 per person. Another was offering a special for food and entertainment $20 per person.

It was this, IGR they call it. Also comes in discs you can put in cupboards and such, but the spray was cheaper. That along with the related insecticide gel bait.
I'm no exterminator but the way I see it-- if you just kill a roach, then you've stopped 1/1000 and they'll keep reproducing even if you kill them all day-- so the goal is to slowly bait them, not instant death, let them eat poison and bring it back to their 'nests' and then inhibit their reproduction. Plus I've heard roaches will feed on dead roaches, so them eating their own poisoned bodies is effective.
Something similar to this is what I used to clean/drain/fill my big aquariums in the past.
https://www.amazon.com/hygger-Bucket-Free-Aquarium-Connector-Cleaner/dp/B09LV63CD1
I never had to move the tanks (two 50 gallon, a 75, and a 20 for feeders) except for moving. I can’t vouch for this specific one because the one I had was from an aquarium store over a decade ago that the employee swore by.
Granted, I had fish not a turtle so it might not be the solution I think it could be for you. Also if water bills or wasting water are a concern, the facet had to stay on the entire time to fully drain the tank.

This! Umbrellas work very well, especially light colored ones. I find a paper one is light and airy - but hard to find good sturdy ones now.
Someone recently said on one of these subs to get a pool shade installed. They mentioned it was a great investment. Giving a quick look on Amazon shows 30$ - $200+ Patio / Pool Shade
I grabbed an emporia smart home monitor, just the most basic one they offer. It came with two 200 amp current sensors for the mains from the meter. I like it so far. It taps both phases for voltage measurement, grabs the current off the two mains phases and polls at least every second. It is surprisingly accurate, even catching the startup surge when my ac compressor first kicks in.
buy these and place where you think they might be getting in or congregating like by the trash cans. they work great. You can also by a roach spray and just spray the exterior yourself. Saves you hundreds.

Check your AC. We had issues with ours and it took a week to fix. In the meantime the humidity in the house had gotten pretty bad. That's when we started seeing these bugs. Every time we think we have it handled they pop up again.
I think /u/BrisklyBrusque is right that they're midges. We've been using fly strips, a couple of Katchies and I think we're at the tail end of it all.
There are non-intrusive devices that will lock a door in place and will not have you run afoul of the hotel agreement. A simple rubber door stop, for example, or something like this.

This isn't the one I had, this is just an example, google is your friend. Might be an option? The one I had was about 2 inches by 1 inch and was actually pretty good. Some of these forecasts are really pushing to the lower end. IBM-owned Weather Underground has been consistently predicting much lower temps than other sites. I know we're still a few days out, but it should be interesting to see what happens. The latest forecast is predicting 2.4 inches of snow, and a low of 13F on Monday. Hard to believe!
