1: Amazon or call your local bookstore to see if they have one in stock. My Barnes and Nobles only carries one at a time to prevent people from vandalizing it.
2: You can say Hail Satan to anything. I said it multiple times today, my wife and I say it when something cool happens or something works out in our favor. Essentially it is the vocal equivalent of "praise god", but since we don't believe in god or Satan and we praise ourselves, saying Hail Satan is like "yay me" or an affirmation.
As far as Lucifer, one of the titles for Satan, no we(LaVeyan) do not worship Lucifer. Luciferians on the other hand revere Lucifer as a liberator character but also a deity who they do not worship.
If you have more questions I would be glad to answer them through PM at any time. :)
...some of you liked it, so I figured I'd follow up with an update. You can read what's complete here: https://tapas.io/episode/802767
I suggest downloading the app though. It's great for free comics, not just my own!
Amazon. It's really nicely detailed, and it has a heavy base which lends it a good amount of weight.
From the Church of Satan FAQ:
Can I get a free copy of The Satanic Bible? Where can I download it?
>No, we don’t proselytize so we don’t send out free books or pamphlets as do other religions. The publisher of this book, HarperCollins/Avon, has not released an eBook version, so if you do find an electronic file of this book it is not authorized and is violating the copyright.
The book is for sale on Amazon and is inexpensive.
If self-help books are your thing you might check out these two inexpensive ones:
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck
I’m about halfway through the first one and have the second on my shelf to read. No religious bullshit mixed in, and it’s an easy read so far.
> TST uses The Revolt of the Angels as one of their primary source materials, as well as literature such as Paradise Lost and The Better Angels of Our Nature.
So tst uses material written by someone else as their primary materials? So, can I claim that my religion is christian and my "primary source materials" are The Odyssey and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Oh, and it's not the jesus type christianity, it's my own special blend that's completely incompatible but the jesus christians don't have authority over the name christian.
IMO, their statement is correct and backed by major religious scholars on the subject. Satanism as a codified religion was started by Anton LaVey and the CoS. He developed the Church from the magic circle and wrote the first Satanic Bible.
Even Encyclopedia.com considers Anton LaVey the founder of modern Satanism prior to the loose accusations of “satanic” and urban legends of “Satanism” fostered by the Christian religion and fundamentalists religionists. Prior to the church there was no fundamental codified Satanic philosophy. No religion based on the Carnal nature of man.
Scholar website reference to Satanism starting with the CoS:
https://cimminneeholt.com/scholarship-on-religious-satanism/
The argument has been reignited since the whole TST debacle. They have argued relentlessly over the legitimacy of their political prankster group of “wanna be” satanist, which they even state that you don’t need to be a Satanist to join, just support their agendas. They just want mindless members to show loyalty to their wack ideas, such as an after school Satan program.
Random rec: plasma lighters are very cool ritual items for lighting things, very in the vein of u/Giftofset and his work with Trapezoidal magic. It even makes a very unnatural squeal when you light it.
You can also buy it from satanme.com which has other books you can look into.
"The self-indulgent man craves for all pleasant things... and is led by his appetite to choose these at the cost of everything else.” - Aristotle, The Nicomachean Ethics
Step number one: Stop hanging with stoners. As obvious as that is...
Step two: Find stuff to do. Spend more time exploring Satanism, magic, philosophy... whatever.. just don't be doing the junk. Stay away from things that lead to more drug use: concerts, etc...
Step three: Learn to deal with your problems. The weed is a "take you out" solution. The problems are still there when you are done being high. You are dependent on the weed largely because you have destroyed your ability to cope because you have anesthetized yourself constantly with dope. You can't even touch it... not once... even if that puts you through the emotional wringer.

How shitty is it exactly to recommend my own book? I just specifically set out to make an overarching look at the topic. But Images of Set by Joan Lansberry (not shown as its on my altar) is fantastic, so is Ian Taylor's Deconstructing the Iconography of Set, which along with Te Velde's Seth God of Confusion can be found as pdfs.
I got this on amazon it was about $22 here’s the link Ebros Satanic Sabbatic Goat Baphomet... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DM7DKQZ?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf and the incense is called dragon blood and I got it from Walmart
For just reading it, I have the Signet Classics version that also comes with some other poems I don't care as much about. :p Recently, I bought a beautiful illustrated edition and (somewhat amusingly, at least to me) a Bible stand so I can properly place it on my altar.
Yeah I actually tried to make a mini version of a figure that I had printed which came out great around 3-4 inches but the smaller one not so much. I think for D&D sized stuff we really need a resin printer, or at least something a little more high end than our crealities 🙂 There are some cool ones out there,
Interesting note, the butter for both hit and runs of the ten commandments. Was the same dude.
Yes, it's in this book. Gilmore, the current High Priest, also mentioned them in The Satanic Scriptures.
Something like this?
Lots of different hits if you Google “baphomet bone pendant”. Hard to know exactly what you mean without a similar image to go off of.
I got it on Amazon. Popsocket
Oh. I got it on Amazon.
Racism is real, though. Racism is the problem. We push back on racism by being antiracist. You're still trying to center race, now by way of claiming that not acknowledging race is the key to pushing back against racism. But even if you don't acknowledge race, racism is still there. So, I'm suggesting you center racism.
Have you ever read any MLK? And by this I mean more than what is taught during Black History Month in schools in the US. Have you read any of his books? If you are a Satanist, you respect the value and power of knowledge. If you understand that racism is real, why not turn to a great source of knowledge for analysis on the subject, MLK?
This was the last book he wrote, and it's both the documentation of and wisdom drawn from the life of an adversary. It's as relevant today as ever. You will learn way more from this than by talking to me on reddit. I promise.

I've linked to amazon.com on the assumption you're in the U.S. but if you'd prefer not to buy from Mr. Bezos, search "Nemesis Now Baphomet bust" and you should find what you're looking for ;)
According to Amazon, it is exactly 0.7 inches thick and 272 pages long. It's a quick read, though; especially if you're reading it to gain an understanding rather than an intense study.
The Satanic Bible https://www.amazon.com/dp/0380015390/
I have one that's about 15" tall that looks really nice and has a lot of weight to it. It's this one that's sold on Amazon. Really just a Sigil of Baphoment necklace hanging on a peg would suffice just as easily, though.
It all depends on how much OP wants to spend and how many ritual implements they want to procure. For example, a decent gong can run you $150.
Oh, I forgot about that one! I could swear there was a Kindle edition for it at some point, but I only see Amazon listing a paperback version.
The only one I found was "Satanism: A Beginner's Guide to the Religious Worship of Satan and Demons Volume I: Philosophy" (amazon link), and I do not agree much with his view (maybe not at all). It is however interesting as a read on how one particular person did choose to construct his personal satanism. The author seem to view his version as defining, but I see it only as a possible variation.
Found it on Amazon for less than $10. I got it for carving sigils into candles, cutting up herbs and such, general spellwork, and I love it so much.
Personally, I think that that statue is rather ugly, but to each his/her own.
There is a (much nicer imo) statuette on Amazon based on the same concept though
This is also worth a read:
It's basically Ayn Rand's biography and a bit of social analysis in graphic novel form. It's... enlightening.
the kindle version there. maybe it's not the entire thing. i just pirated a different copy of it, so we'll see if there are any differences. it seemed very short to me.
That slaps harder than my krampus sweater
In contrast, here's actual book about legitimate Satanism (linked to kindle as I know not everyone can shell out $50 USD after tax for physical)
thanks for outing yourself
You do know that TST has rituals that they deliberately copied from the CoS, who they deride as dead, right?
no?

you're really bad at this

the kindle edition here is not the same as the physical books listed as the same product??
Amazon sells drums of lube, may help with that extremely chapped ass you have
amazon is how I found it. I carry it with me in my bag and reference it regularly. I randomly in anger with Alcoholics Anonymous googled "satanism and recovery" and that's how I got to amazon and it was the best 13$ I ever spent. Ever.
Full disclosure after reading it and the book changing my life I reached out to him and we've become friends since. But that is because it's a monumental influence in my life.
Are you for real? Weren't you all about "free speech" and "never removing content, however much you disagree with it"?

Here and here are the sources
I recently went down a rabbit hole about the homeschool cult my parents got into when I stumbled upon this blast from the past. I was given a copy of the Christian Charm Course workbook for girls when I was around 10-11 years old. It’s a handbook in Christian etiquette that I was encouraged to use through my teenage years (now that I think about it, it was probably intended to reign the farm-girl tomboy aesthetic I was embracing at the time). It outlined guidelines for physical appearance, fashion, and manners befitting a young Christian woman and included sections for: weight and measurements with calorie and exercise plan, instructions on what to wear and how to style one’s hair, instructions on how to sit and walk modestly and maintain an attractive profile when in public, and of course, a Bible reading plan of essential verses to support proper transformation into a future Christian wife. It was essentially a grooming program made by Christian wives for Christian girls.
When I see people complaining about the dated language and “sexism” in The Satanic Witch, I sometimes wonder if they knew what the alternative used to be. The idea of embracing what you are and using your strengths to do what’s best for yourself is entirely different than trying to mold yourself into the perfect feminine church-approved pleasure-object with the ultimate goal of denying yourself and pleasing men and all the internalized guilt and anxiety that came with it.
More commentary and pages from this book can be found here: https://jesusgoestocharmschool.com/2008/09/19/charm-school-with-jesus/
nope, this book of Rituals is by TST Member Shiva Honey
TST is only Atheistic as of recently. they began professing a belief in, and worship of a literal Satan

Though the rituals Sgiva Honey uses are psychodrama, they focus strictly on compassion, versus the full range of emotions

Worth noting that despite this, TST's "reference Guide" tries to claim the Cos practices "magick"(which the CoS sees as psychodrama) yet another case of ripping off the CoS on one hand, while being dismissive with the other

In short, do better research

If you're really into learning and using Esperanto as a second language, then there are a lot of great resources to be had, but I've found that a lot of Esperanto speakers are quite casual about their interest and treat the language more like Sudoku or a daily crossword: it's a mentally challenging and fun to share with other people. www.Duolingo.com is a good place to start for learning Esperanto, but www.Lernu.net is also quite good. See you around.
As I said to isglass, this may interest you: https://www.scribbr.com/plagiarism/common-knowledge/
Anyways, Wikipedia was a good enough source for you folks to reject common knowledge academia, why is it not a good enough source that the rest of the page supports Horemhebs actions? You literally took a terrible source, took a single line in it, and rejected everything else it says, but want to talk about sources? Read any book or article that discusses Horemheb 🤷♂️. One of the more thorough ones I've seen of late is available here, as if you'd purchase and read something that supports anything I've said 🤣

That's defensible. On the other hand, the rebelliousness inherent in projects like The Anarchist Library is more appealing to us, and Anton LaVey is dead.
It's been more than half a century by now with LaVey dead for about half of that. Just pretend the Mouse hadn't lobbied to keep Steamboat Willie out of the public.

i have a collection of devil masks, this year i picked up this goat devil mask. not quite baphomet per se and kinda cheap, but conveys the idea. goat legs are weird, but if you're going that route you might as well go full torgo.

The article refers to them as a “society”, so classy 😂🐍, me and mine typically use the word “cult” to refer to ourselves in English.

Anything I know about the various sects I got from this. That might at least give you a starting point for research, etc.
It isn't a Satanic organization, but Setian. I recommend this book written specifically for newcomers to dive into the ideas of Setianism in general: https://www.amazon.com/Behold-Set-Darkness-Exploring-Mysterious/dp/B08LNLC245
I have (story of my very thorough brainwashing here) though it takes some active maintenance work and a LOT of self-awareness and honesty with yourself to recognize when you’re reverting to old thought patterns. Rituals help me a lot. So does surrounding myself with people who either agree with or at least support those new thought patterns.
Regarding deeply rooted beliefs that may not have any real logical basis but are the product of deep emotional conditioning, I highly recommend therapy. A lot of it. As far as polyamory goes, I recommend reading a lot about it, talking to other people who are polyamorous and try to give yourself time to think through it. When you do decide to try a poly relationship, make sure you are really honest and open with your partner(s) so you can communicate before minor issues become major issues.
I recommend this book: link
Further education regarding The Adversary can be found..
TST doesn't have core literature the same way the CoS does. most of what you can learn about them in terms of philosophy and practice can be found on their website.
if, however, you're interested in a book about them, Speak of the Devil is probably the way to go.
We aren't that good but it is fun indeed. I need to look up the rules for snooker, we have the balls and scoring thing, so maybe we'll do that in addition to some 8-ball.
My favorite book about pool is The 99 Critical Shots in Pool. (I probably should go through it again, lol.)
No, because I just noticed that I mistook it for this one:
My bad...
Mandatory viewing! I own this version sans 'Satan's Children' and I first watched it here.
Story time:
We weren’t allowed to read non-Christian comic books growing up but we did go to a Kenneth Copeland “rendezvous” once when I was still being homeschooled and they had some Christian comic books for sale. One was called “The Gunslinger” and another called “Shout!” that had some crossover.
We also had teen magazines that were basically the New Testament written in magazine column style. The version made for boys had comics in them. The girls version had personality tests and beauty tips a la cosmo 🙄
So... can cowboy Jesus and his gun-toting Indian side kick “runs with faith” be a favorite comic book character? 😂
cool! i want to get this one:
but my parents don't know i'm a satanist
Yes there actually is both, but I only found them on Amazon

Set is a direct equivalent to Satan Himself so far as translating to Christianity goes, as his wife Astarte is an equivalent to Lilith. I arrogantly recommend my own book, which I wrote specifically to address this topic: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LNLC245?ref_=pe_3052080_397514860
(Apologies if this shows as edited- I hit enter to space lines and it submitted just the first line.)
I mean, yes and no:
>We Satanists are thus our own “Gods,” and as beneficent “deities” we can offer love to those who deserve it and deliver our wrath (within reasonable limits) upon those who seek to cause us—or that which we cherish—harm. Magus Gilmore’s essay “What, The Devil?” from <em>The Satanic Scriptures</em> discusses this in greater detail.
So not theism in the Christian sense, and maybe there is a more specific word- but there's a focus point for worship in the CoS, it just isn't external. Again, akin to Buddhism or secular humanism. "Deism" might be better, with the God in question being every individual self- but that has connotations of an external God as well, so it's also not quite right.
Does that materially change the rest of my questions?
Found it. For anyone else interested, the work is "Lilith with a Snake" by John Collier (1887) which is on display at Southport Atkinson Art Gallery.
A hand-painted reproduction can be purchased for about $300 and canvas prints are available on Amazon for $40. https://www.bestpriceart.com/lilith-with-a-snake.html
It's not from a female perspective, but I highly recommend the Ego and His Own by Max Stirner. It was the major influence on the philosophy of Egoism. The 1901 translation is free and the new translation (recommended) is on Amazon.
Hey to the person that asked about the Baphomet statue, here it is on Amazon. I'd highly recommend using Amazon Smile and set the donation to the Freedom From Religion Foundation (or TST or ACLU or wherever your black heart leads), that's how I ease my guilty conscience for using such a horrible company.

Are you talking about the passages in Revelations 2 and 3, because those passages are talking about Jews and were written for Christian theology...or are you talking about these books that appear to be written about those passages in Revelations, because both of those books were published in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
that's why i'm saying you gotta read robert m price or listen to his interviews. the mythicist position has been around a long time and price is probably *the* expert on the subject. and you will appreciate that he is knowledgable about it but doesn't argue it or preach it, he's a true scholar in every sense

He said his view on black people are "somewhat right of the KKK" and is unapologetic in Nazi imagery. He's also on the books for an anti-semetic tirade. I remember watching some of his own commentary on Lucifer rising and he himself said that he wanted the protagonist to be "as white as possible" because white=purity, etc, etc. Also Scorpio Rising, another film of his, is about a fascist gay biker gang. Not sure how that works but that's the film.
The only authentic one is the one by Anton LaVey. Very cheap in paperback, but be prepared to shell out some serious money for the hardback if you try to get one.
Check out the sub's sticky and the Church of Satan website for a lot of free information and essays, too.
I've had this for over a year now. No tarnishing, no green skin, comfortable, and pretty sick looking. A bit on the pricey side for what it is, but the price has almost tripled in the last year.

I take it you're not a fan of The Satanic Bible. Incidentally, a book you got me to take a peek at (unwittingly, I think) is the one by Three Scarabs: Behold: The Prince of Darkness: A Complete Introduction to Setian Religion
If i'm being wooshed, so be it.
Satanism has many different spins, one such spin was done by a man named Anton LaVey, who wrote This Satanic Bible. It's arguably the most popular/mainstream spin on Satanism and some people like to identify as LaVeyan Satanist rather than just Satanist.
Similar to how there are so many different spins on Catholicism there can be drastic differences between each spin.
Yup got it on amazon. The chain it comes with broke on me but the pendant is good. here
I like red & black
I included Marilyn Manson and SDJ as Manson is an honorary priest and SDJ was an honorary second-degree member.
My concern was because people who don't self-identify as Satanists(such as Ayn Rand and Frederich Nietzche) demonstrate the thoughts and ideas that Satanist also share. I'm reading The Art of War right now. As outsmarting your enemy without violence is a form of lesser magic, I consider Sun Tzu to be a role model for Satanism even if he wasn't a Satanist.
I too believe in democratic socialism. I found this book was really helpful in understanding exactly how inequality has fucked us.

Also suggesting The Invention of Satanism as well as Children of Lucifer. Both books offer a pretty thorough history of Satanism.
A man I looked up to was a Satanist.
A decade later, I was thinking about how in Christian mythology Lucifer was essentially Prometheus, and in the same way that fire literally and figuratively enlightened Mankind, Old Nick gave us the gift of knowledge.
I did some cursory research about Lucifer, and the guy seemed right up my alley. I'd always enjoyed his portrayal in various forms of fiction*(my absolute favorite being <strong>Job: A Comedy of Justice</strong>; if you haven't read it, I strongly recommend it. Let me know what you think!),* so I picked up a copy of The Satanic Bible. I read it, and re-read it, then picked up a few more books.
The absolute best Satanic book, by the way, is Peter H. Gilmore's The Satanic Scriptures.
I love that Satanism actually is for everyone, except perhaps the most ascetic, devout monks! Do you care about your worldly existence more than some nebulous post-life existence? Well then. Hail Satan!
The most common way that I "use" it is... well, you know how in old cartoons, characters would get a little devil on one shoulder telling them to do something naughty, and a little angel on the other shoulder telling them to be righteous? Well, I just have that little devil on one shoulder telling me how best to be the person I want to be. Turns out I don't need an angel.
My number one piece of advice, though, is very easy to remember:
You have to have a sense of humor to be a Satanist.
No excuses, no exceptions.
Well I'd love a first print of The Satanic Bible, but that's hard to find. Regarding the occult, I'd really like to get my paws on any first editions by Montague Summers, particularly his works on werewolves or vampires. I'd definitely kill for a first print copy of In a Glass Darkly, the book in which the novella Carmilla was initially published.
There is one Satanic book that's been on my list for years but it's too damned expensive - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0962328626 the price has always ranged at around £85 - £100 every time I've looked over many years, and shows no signs of dropping.
I saw a book in Barnes and Noble the other day that was kinda a big book of symbols maybe give that a try.
Edit: Amazon
Really? Well the blade I have is cheap and not sharpened. Mainly got it because like you said it looks good. Perfect as a ceremonial blade in my opinion. If you actually want a sharp blade this isn't for you.
I do believe there are actually a few of his works not included in this print, but I can't remember which ones. Apologies.
The Complete Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft (Knickerbocker Classics) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1631060015/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_OgSGyb3TC21DK
Knickerbocker Classics makes very nice collections from several authors. They had a collection of Edgar Allan Poe's work at one point, but I can't seem to find it now. It's a shame, I was thinking about grabbing that one next.
some good recommendations have already been made.
i think one of the first books to start me down the path was the hierarchy of hell by lauran paine. it isn't written academically, but it was my introduction to the fact religions aren't pure monolithic unchanging narratives, that there is a great deal of situational context that needs to accompany the interpretation of these stories. one day i'll have to try to get in touch with someone who knew the author to explain how it is that the prolific pulp novelist who wrote a thousand cheap westerns under a dozen pseudonyms started writing about witchcraft/demonology for a brief stint in the early seventies.
As a "theistic" Satanist (whatever the fuck that means) I would suggest acquainting yourself with the following works, which IMHO I believe are or should be of general interest to all Satanists:
I would also suggest learning about the mythologies of all sorts of ancient peoples to gain more perspective. The Norse Eddas, Indo-Aryan scriptures like the Mahabharata and the Vedas, The Popol Vuh, hell, even the Old Testament if you haven't thoroughly read it before
