I was having the same problem with mine but then I finally ended up investing a bit extra in the virtual gates and forced it to just clean the main areas of the house, then I just sweep the other spots into the main area as needed. Sure, its not fully automatic at that point and I wish I didn't have to put in the extra for the gates, but damn...havent had a problem since.
This is the one I use. I don't think I paid this much though. Really reliable. I tried a couple others and found that they jam.

To be fair, it fits the description.
>A machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, especially one programmable by a computer:
I'd rather not have to make a fire and hold my bread over it just right as to finely toast it instead of incinerate it the way I would most likely do, seems like automating a complex series of actions to me.
Our hand maid, Mei, sometimes closes the door to the bathroom while cleaning and gets stuck in there.
I get home and hear her yelling in Chinese from across the house and have to help her get out. Meanwhile, my cat is outside the bathroom, gloating.

but it does. It kept he/she from getting a ticket. Also it's funny. Also also it's an April fools joke. lighten up buttercup.
See my comment above. There’s free open source software for your router called OpenWrt which can ensure that all connections get a consistent 20ms ping no matter how heavily the network is used.
Just for 3D animation? Blender is quite professional and free. As for simulating mechanical stuff, I'm not so sure. Most 3D software can do basic physics stuff, though I don't really know the details. I doubt this video was actually made by simulating stuff, it was likely more skilled animation by hand. But you're probably better off asking over at /r/Simulated
Fun fact: this is actually totally not supposed to happen! Your router should be enforcing fairness, throttling the heavy downloads so network-light apps like games or VoIP can maintain consistent latency. Your ping in a game or in voice chat should be a consistent and steady ~20ms, no matter how heavily your network is being used by anything else.
OpenWrt is free open source software that you can install on nearly any router, and it allows you to enable smart queue management on your router. When SQM is enabled, your network speed tests will show slower speeds and large torrents will download slower. But while these downloads are happening the network will stay rock steady everywhere else, as your router makes sure everybody gets equal access to the network.
I installed OpenWrt two days ago and I’ve never looked back. 20ms ping for everyone, all the time.
Except Microsoft calls it an IDE comparable to PyCharm.
Visual Studio is also not very good for Python (via Python Tools).
Both are fine for students I guess but I have never seen an actual development team using either

You are running those servos at too high a voltage. They generally do not work well above 6v. 5v is better. Use this thing and put in 7.5-36v and get a stable high current 5v out. Use this thing to step down the voltage to a stable high current 5v, and provide current to all those servos at 98% efficiency.

There have been reddit apps since before there was the reddit app. I'm on reddit is fun and have never had the desire to switch to the "official" app.
computers lack the ability to have context of any of the data. It takes a human to do that, so it would not be able to set scenes like it did.
It definitely would not know that the waitress was doing the act of delivering, nor would it know that she was a waitress.
So at best, this guy fed a tool like this the script of olive garden commercials, then manually pick from the list of words it suggests to make a story.
Gotta have that human element in picking
For Funzies, I did this with that tool with it's included batman script.

if they were wrapped around it wouldnt matter which way is up, if you could use 4 and figure out the motion to raise 2 segments (other 2 planted on the ground) at a time while moving them forward you could effectively walk..
See if you can find the fabric used in these pet hair removers. It would grab onto fabric/rough surfaces in one direction while sliding smoothly in the opposite direction.
Sorry for the late reply. Here is the article I mentioned, however after looking at it now it's not about Google + Boston Dynamics but just Google in general. I think the level of involvement between the government and Google surprised me and sort of stuck in my head.
Except the original word doesn't matter, just the definition, which is
>1a: a machine that looks like a human being and performs various complex acts (such as walking or talking) of a human being; also : a similar but fictional machine whose lack of capacity for human emotions is often emphasized
>b: an efficient insensitive person who functions automatically
>2: a device that automatically performs complicated often repetitive tasks
>3: a mechanism guided by automatic controls

Incognito doesn't really help with fingerprinting unless your browser is actively fuzzing the user agent details it gives to the page. Browser canvas fingerprinting is also a thing, so even if your browser is fuzzing user agent details, it is still be possible to identify you just by the way your device renders the webpage.

Can you please update when you find one that is suitable? I tried to make this and had only one motor work poorly, the other worked with little weight.
I did a similar project for school and we used motors from the little kids cars.
However, I want something easier, more reliable, less messy, and WAY less expensive that can still hold a small cooler/trash can/eventually a stability arm for my grandmother with a spot to hold hot tea/coco. My group ended up buying 3 of those little cars for 2 motors, the used last car was $50 ($75 total cost for motors). Obviously if holding liquids or eventually used for stability torque is a major issue.
Just to provide good alternatives, cedar-based grill scrapers are inexpensive and effective if used regularly. I also highly recommend the grill floss or something similar (not an affiliate link, just so people know what I'm talking about).
Between the two I have a cleaner grill, without the risk of wire brushes, and the grill floss is great for repositioning hot grates or moving charcoal baskets. Finally, I see too many friends fail to use oil on their food. A light coating of olive oil can really help avoid sticking and reduce cleanup.
It's not like the risk from a brush is massive, but if you can get a better clean while reducing the risk, why not?
We used the citikitty, and ever since then the cat doesnt drink out of the toilet anymore.
What about the Cat Genie? I love the concept and execution and reviews are mixed between 5 and 1 which can indicate good product, dumb users.
I bought one of these and it broke so fucking quickly. Even when it did work, half the shit missed the tray it self-scooped into and just fell onto the floor. Extremely regrettable purchase. I have 5 cats and this is the litter box that I personally use. This isn’t an ad or anything (lol) but I really love this box so I tell everyone about it! It’s not completely self-cleaning (its not a robot, you have to roll the box onto its side and the clumps fall into a drawer) but you don’t have to do any scooping either. I recommend them to everyone, I bought 4 myself.
That one was about $200 I think. I think they're about half the price of an equivalent roomba. I can't compare them but the reviews for that one were great and I was very happy with it. Never had a problem, and just let it run for an hour a day and it manages itself on its own and gets mostly everywhere. Had to get it unstuck from the fridge once in a while, but then just ended up putting two shoes in its way there and it was fine.
I can't speak for the other off-brands but some of them have really high reviews! This one looks like a good deal right now.
It's the OWI Robotic Arm kit and while it is a little pricey for a "toy" everything goes together nicely and it's easy to hack.
I'd recommend that if you do get it that you also get a good Exacto™ type knife or utility knife and get good at using it. There are always little nubs of plastic left when you pull the pieces off of the panels them come in.
In case anyone is looking at this keyboard for the lights, I bought this keyboard in 2015 and it's still great. It has more colors and some macro keys (although I never use those) and is very cheap but reliable.
SBCs? Not familiar with the term. But that's great! It's fun stuff. I started off with Arduino a few months ago with this kit. Highly recommended, it's got everything you need to start making little projects and for a ridiculously good price. Even if you don't use the UNO that it comes with.
In electricity, there's a lot of components that will require you provide a +5v DC signal, 5v is a standard that we've set. There's also a 3.5v standard which is more common in phones.
With the use of relays and additional power sources, you can control more power than that if you need to, though.
Just keep in mind that electricity is largely about tolerances. Just because you have a 5v line doesn't actually guarantee that it will always be 5 volts. There's a range that is thought to be acceptable. Seeing 4.8v, if I recall correctly, is still a "5v line"
Here's a pretty standard servo. It's not an "arduino servo" it's just a normal electrical component that when you apply voltage to its line, it operates. Since it operates in the 4.8-6v range, you can absolutely control this servo with the power from your arduino.
