Well, my opinion is actually that this gun would be way above the AK-47, HK416, and even guns like the SCAR-H and Vector. Simply put, a moving accuracy of 3 degrees puts even the FAMAS to shame. Sure, the gun may have initially bad stats, but when you factor in accuracy, the gun dominates at any range above shotgun range. My thoughts? Nerf the moving accuracy to 3.5 degrees, to compensate give a good falloff, like 0.9.

SA80 is nothing special while standing, but dominates while moving with only a 3 degree spread.

I suck at solo mode, and almost exclusively play random squads.

Sometimes I get the xp challenges like "Top 5 in duos" etc. I refreshed the other day and got "Top 10 in solos". Great.

My strategy was simple: Get a nice scope and a simple gun, hide in a bush near the center until I was in the top 10, then go get gunned down and let the people actually playing the game win.

With 12 people left, this asshole, playing as _wildchild_ came in guns blazing on my bush. I backed up around a big barrel tank, and his barrel twitched and followed my every movement, and he eventually killed me. I was so pissed.

I'm hoping Kongregate will do something to cut down on these guys.

The reason why the MP220 is so good is due to how quickly it can do damage, I mean, it has a DPS of 540.

The reason why the MP220 often beats things like the M870 is due to the gun being built around efficient trading. Often, provided that there is some form of cover so the MP220 player can reload, a MP220 can beat a Saiga-12 quite handily. So far today, I've had around 3 games where I had an MP220 and the other player had a Saiga-12. I won all of them rather easily. None of them could confront me because I'd just get 2 shots in the time that they got 1 and go back into cover to reload. Regarding the M870 and quick switching though, The MP220 player and the M870 player will both get a shot in, and no matter what other gun you have, it cannot do 108 damage (MP220 shot) in 0.2 seconds, so the MP220 player after shooting will having won the trade, slip under cover, reload, and start firing again. Furthermore, every gun in the game has a "switch delay"; there's a delay before they can fire if switched to (Source: http://surviv.io/js/app.b619a0d4.js), and all of them are greater than 0.2 seconds, the time it would take an MP220 to get their second shot off.

I started when I lost a game of go against some condescending bastard who was an aquitance of a friend. I asked what other game he played and found out he played surviv, with about 2% winrate. so I hardcore trained 1hr every day until I got about 20% winrate in solo which is far better than this guy, then I felt better. It's all very childish why I started playing haha.

Then I hang around with more people on discord, and on this reddit, figured out that you should improve to play squads, so I'll just solo squad all the time. I'm not bad with shots but my strength is always in melee people. I probably peaked around late 2019, where I would consistently win games as long as I get some adrenaline and armor. However the surviv server lags so much and so many hackers I kinda stopped since the quarantine begin, as I can no longer use good internet (sub 20 ping on USEast) at MIT (I'm researcher there).

That's about it. Kinda sad too that I don't get to play it more, been just spamming krunker.io which has fewer lag issues, and fewer hackers, but surviv is much more hilarious and strategic... oh well at least I saved my highslights on youtube haha. My current understanding is you can be quite good without double pumping in a normal game, if you're not up against some pro players, just raw dps usually will be fine. But when you're 1v1 someone difficult, you have to mosin/spass or equivalent, and play around rocks.

Yes. From the code it has a ROF of 0.082 and a damage/shot of 14. This gives it a base DPS of ~170.732 compared to the SCAR-H's ~166.667 (damage/shot: 15, ROF: 0.09). I further expanded on this by including spread (2 standing, 6 moving) and falloff (0.82) into my calculations here and found that from range 0 to range 165 (Mk 18 max range) it will outDPS the SCAR-H if assumed both are moving, and from range 0 to range ~71.497 (past 8x) it will outDPS the SCAR-H if assumed both are standing.

M249 does not wreck the Desert Eagle in DPS. The Desert Eagle has a higher DPS (source: http://surviv.io/js/app.b619a0d4.js if you do not have time to go through the code, I already made a post about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/survivio/comments/8fimxn/desert_eagle_stats/). The Desert Eagle's DPS is 218.75 (Dual Wielded: 291.66) compared to the M249's 175.

Secondly, I wasn't saying that you were saying that the game centralized around the M249, I was saying that because the meta does not centralize around the M249, that it should not be nerfed. Despite the M249 being pretty darn good, there are ways to combat it that are not the M249 itself and the game does not centralize it, therefore it should not be nerfed. Not nerfing the M249 lets players formulate counters to the M249 and lets the meta develop, and generally people win because of shotguns, not the M249.

I'm afraid i'm going to have to agree with you there. As a clan co-owner that advertises on the server, i've had to not talk any more after getting the survivr role, in fear of losing it or getting warned/banned.

People get banned for '>' which, even though ghost and Nobody have history, is a bad way to moderate a server.

I wouldn't say that it's corrupt, as people like Amazin Dot or Eyyy, i'd say are good/better moderators. I'd say it's not well moderated or supported.

I believe that they do have a log of warns or bans but i doubt they pay attention to it.

This, is one of the main reasons that surviv.io isn't quite as popular, competitively as games such as krunker.io . Krunker has professional esports companies and thousands of dollars in one krunker tournament. If the devs, along with mods, had been more expansive with their community and getting involved with the competitive players, which they ban it might have got a little more lime light.

Although some of them are fun, most of these communities only contain people who can't actually afford any other game and a lot of people have moved on from them to video games. This game is just going to end up like with Miniclip and Agar.io which means that this game will just be active, but barely receive any good content.

So not very good all in all. Mostly common, a few Uncommon and one Rare.

Dual DEagles still don't have the damage per shot of the Saiga, making them worse as noslow Saiga can do some damage, whereas you have to accept slowness from shooting in order to tap into Dual DEagles DPS. Fact is, if you want to noslow them, Dual DEagles gain only a slight bit of damage, but lose out compared to Dual OTs-38 on a ton of precision.

The QBB is tactically superior to the M249, but fact remains that both are tactical blunders. Both give you speed reduction, and someone noslowing M870 will easily kill you. M249 and QBB only have 14 damage per shot, making them near useless for noslowing. Cover multiplier helps, but isn't too big a deal considering cover is everywhere. There's a reason why the vast majority of top players avoid LMGs and prefer, say, sniper rifles.

depends on what subregions you play on, because hackers are still everywhere NA. moomoo.io is also almost 5 years old, and never had an anti-cheat at all in the first place. the devs mainly left moomoo because they wanted to focus on krunker.io, but it was partly because they knew there were so many hackers and nothing could be done to fix it. moomoo has been an old, dead game for a year

krunker.io is a good one. basically smaller scale csgo but you can get momentum and actually aim down sights. its really fun, has cool updates all the time and a non-toxic, active community. also, there are almost no hackers, do to good anticheat, good report system and hundreds of volunteers acting as a police force to find to take care of hackers

think of krunker.io. sweatiest io game i know of. surviv.io is more hackers at this point, i think the sweatiness is because people want to defeat hackers, but end up not succeeding.

Kongregate is a whole giant team. The krunker.io devs consist of only 2 people (the primary devs, the other devs aren't as big) and they consistently carry out updates and balancing. I've played Krunker for over 1.5 years now, and made my account last summer. I've been addicted ever since. It's disappointing to see how bad Kong can make a game.

I have small hopes that the old devs could come back in 2021.

I suggest trying this in an update for a week and getting feedback on how it works. Could fail miserably, but at least we tried something.

In the spectate UI, offer a "votekick" button. The details can be fine tuned, but my initial thought is 5-kicks = disconnect. Perhaps you could add an X-minute timeout to that IP/account.

If you votekick someone and the vote doesn't get passed by 5 people, then you could also be penalised in some way. Maybe a strike system for an X-minute timeout.

There should be some clear and easily accessible information on the votekick function, and what it is for. It isn't for people who kill you and emote. It isn't for kill leaders. It's for people who are cheating.

For anyone wondering why there is was a spike in number of players in june 3, it was most likely due to a major update that occurred the day prior.

They also did a major balance update which greatly helped the game out.

Agree with most of them,
- revolver shouldn't make S tier. Reload time too long, takes too long to shoot, damage is underwhelming given the previous.
- P30 is S tier
- SV98 is a toss up, I like bolt action and often I just swap from side arm to SV for quicker shots.
- Green ammo - MK deserves a higher spot it deceptively does a lot of damage given you land your shots. Fire rate is very fast compared to its blue sister.
- Blue ammo semi-automatic C tier
- M416 B tier. You're using m416 in more scenarios in the early- mid game. Also grants access to green ammo if you're running Mac10 so you don't double stack yellow.

17th in total wins, but thats only because I stopped playing for a while before they switched over to the whole log in to track stats thing. When I stopped playing (I got into War Thunder) I was bouncing between 9th and 11th place depending on how good my play was. 6th place in total kills.

It was fun to be near the top of the leaderboards every day but really playing like that just burned me out on the game. My stats are probably much worse now, but I'm okay with that, because when I play the game I actually enjoy it instead of just worrying about slipping on the leaderboard. The idea that I need to 'get gud' is fucking laughable though, especially coming from that Serial guy who is nowhere to be found on the HOF list.

One of the knocked guys finally dies, but the guy with the awc is holding on. I'm low on health, and the circle is pushing me closer. I kill the guy with the AWC, grab it, reload it, and fire one bullet for the kill. I hit. I win. Chicken fucking dinner.

Premade squads, while fun, are a bit too easy. Check out Didius' stream for some viewer squads. Solos squads is where the true elites test themselves. I make excuses to avoid that challenge.

I prefer easy games... still trying to catch Nuco on all time wins. Now THAT guy, I would consider to be better than me, definitely mechanically, maybe their macro is almost as good as mine? As I've said before, because my mechanics are not world class, I lean on my macro. That's how I dominate solos.

this guy has a decent max kills, godly kg, and 100% winrate (at least in squads)

Again, if you can quickswitch, snipers are godly in close range. I once killed an entire squad in the bunker with just mosin, 15 bullets and fists, and they had armor, a Vector, a Saiga and other weapons, and were decent players. So for cover just walk up to them, do a grenade pressure if necessary, and BOOM win. If you have a sniper and can quickswitch, you'll win 100% of the time no matter how aggressive you play.

I STILL don't use quickswitching after almost 5k games.

There are better/easier ways to win, and quickswitchers usually use it as a crutch, and have LARGE fundamental flaws in the rest of their game that can easily be exploited.

I agree - but you also don't have to be good to rack up large kill numbers. That's based on aggression and variance just as much as it is based on skill, if not more. What you DO have to be good at to do is have a high win%...

Thanks! I've got a lot of experience with other BR games which helps, I'm at a 15% win rate which I'm pretty happy with but only 2.6 kills per game which I definitely want to bring up. Here are my stats if anyone's curious

You have no freaking Idea on what you're talking about. AS is BS when it comes to good players. You just need to play at the right time. NA is easy for me bc all the pros are asleep. Much, much easier to get wins on NA than AS. But I do know what you mean by "bots." I have played at 5 am before, and it is just as(if not easier) than NA. But no, AS has probably has the highest Pro:noob ratio out of all the servers(peak times). Explains why there are no records from AS. It is not because the servers are empty(during peak times, after school for me, servers fill up just as quickly as NA does). And you can't just make the assumption that Asians are bad at gaming cause they(we) dominate most competitive games out there(League, Overwatch, and maybe even PUBG). It is hard to get records here because the chance of you meeting bot squads is close to 0(during peak times, of course). + solo squaders

For the "ye clan's trash" part. First of all, it is common sense to use [KR] or [KOR] in your username in Korea. Everyone does it, even people who don't know our clan exists. Also, our "clan" really isn't that professional. To get member, you just need to chat once. So 75% of our clan just joined bc of a youtube vid(usually CX's or Yours, as you two are well known in Korea for MM&Deip and Mope, respectively) or from the "KR io game community webpage." They don't play the game too much. And even though we do have some "trash" players, we also have a quite a few that might match you in skill. The skill gap in [KR] is huge. The only "firetto tier" player I can remember the account off the top of my head is Kar98k. http://surviv.io/stats/kr_kar98k He currently is 4th place for "most dmg" in squads. Quite an achievement if you consider the fact that he didn't even play much. Sadly he moved on to PUBG. But you get the point.

I had this it agar.io when I playing solo was penalized by anti-teaming system and team of enemies wasn't because they learned to game it. This was extremely frustrating. Even more, when teamers shoot viruses upon me I was penalized because game thinks that eating viruses on purpose is done by a teamer (bc. eating viruses in a team is a easy way to gain mass quickly).

The anti-teaming system in Agar.io was both a system that wouldn't work in anyway on surviv because the games aren't similar in any way and it effected solo players more than teamers for the most part. Also whether it directly effected it or not, the game died after it was added so there's that.
