Yes, it's completely normal due to different heats in pressures in the shipping process. If it doesn't affect the sound it's not an issue, But for vanity if it bothers you, you can buy a "record weight" that goes on top of the vinyl while its playing and should fix your issue.

Buy some hand warmers off of Amazon or from some kind of camping retailer. I used to use them when I went camping as a kid and they definitely help to stay warm on those colder nights.

When I'm trying to get into a new artist, in addition to listening to their music, I do the following:

1. go to youtube and watch a couple of interviews that the artist has done, that usually gives a good idea of what the person behind the music is all about, and you see the music in a different light.

2. go to youtube and watch a couple of videos of live performances the artist has done

3. read some album reviews of the artist at https://rateyourmusic.com

4. Use the search function on my podcast app, to see if there are any episodes in which a podcast show has gone into a deep dive on one or more of the artists albums.

i’m doing the same. i found 2 suits on amazon. one only has like a dark blue and a lime green, like the only ‘igor’ color suits. that one has a max of $45. the 2nd one is more pricey, topping at $66, but it has more colors, there’s like 3 shades of blue, a red, a nice pink, and a black. so obviously pay more, you get more. but yeah. none of those prices include shipping btw.

here’s the turntable i use. i had to adjust the RPM when i got it but that’s a very easy process

powered speakers are the way to go if you want to save money, they do the job, even if they’re not the greatest option

micca is a great low price audio brand with very sleek powered speakers. with the LP60s built in preamp and these speakers internal power you pretty much have everything you need. if you’re looking to lower the price even further i’d suggest going for some of the lower end speakers micca makes, but just be sure that you’re getting powered speakers.

not to sound like an asshole audiophile, but do try to avoid any of the $50 to $100 all in one turntables with speakers built in and stuff. they not only sound terrible most of the time, but also have crappy tone arms and cheap stylus parts that can eventually do damage to your vinyl. it’s a daunting price tag starting out, but do keep in mind once you get these items you wont be dropping more on it unless you decide to add more components like a preamp for headphones or something.
