This app reports it to the developer for their own use to report to city council. It will "attempt" to notify bylaw.
If you actually want to report it to the city, use Pingstreet.
I like the idea of gathering data, but this post's title could better reflect the reality of what it does.
Most parking lots are sized for the 4th busiest day of the year. Which means 360 days of the year it's just a massive expanse of asphalt doing nothing except making people who didn't drive there walk farther.

I think it's called a "buff" or bandana there are many ways to wear them, I wear one all the time when I ride my bike or when I'm walking outside and it's cold. It helps me keep my ears warm and also so that I don't inhale cold air when I'm riding. I grew up in warm humid climate, wearing this lets me enjoy winter and be active.

Thanks! I was looking for the exact citation and you beat me too it.
This is not my work and I don't want to pretend it is.
Another awesome book to check out is Ontario's Grand River Valley Electric Railways: streetcars, trolley coaches, and interurban railways by John Mills.
Allow me to express a different viewpoint, someone please advise me if I misinterpreted.
The technology that the company is selling is domain filtering, which seems pretty standard equipment. There are dozens of off-the-shelf equipment which does this for privacy, ad-blocking or porn blocking. I can see how family safety equipment can be used for unethical means, but not sure what is the company’s fault here.
The list of countries are all nations where Canadian businesses are allowed to do business. I don’t remember any of these countries embargoed by Canada.
All these are sovereign countries having their own rules and policies. I don’t see how a small town business can dictate terms to foreign nations. Heck, even Bell is planning to block stuff in Canada, how are they different?
If there is doubt that these nations are violating human rights, shouldn’t CBC raising that issue and get them embargoed?
I am puzzled that the author did not clarify what is the company’s fault in all this. How would this be any different if, say, Canadian made cars were used for nefarious purpose?
I don’t see how this article is going to achieve any good by publicly shaming a small business. Their efforts may be better spent in raising this with government.
Disclaimer: I don’t know this company or any of its employees, I just happen to know how Internet works. I have a pi-hole ( https://pi-hole.net open-source free ad blocking software) installed at my house for child safety. I can totally see how i can use the same technology to achieve the same goals.
Someone posted an app a couple of days ago to report uncleared sidewalks, but both Kitchener and Waterloo use Pingstreet to get reports.
May as well. Taking if directly to the dump, if your intent is to discard it, will cost you more money.

Good app for weekly schedules.
Yeah I'm not crazy about Charbucks either, and I literally can't choke down Tim's, it's that bad.
I definitely recommend trying a French press if you are interested. It is a lot different than normal drip coffee, but I like that about it. You can even use a paper filter under the steel mesh if you really want to keep any potential grinds out of the coffee. Bodum is sort of the go-to brand for these things, though cheaper ones can be found pretty easily.
Otherwise, I find that even normal coffee out of a drip machine can be pretty tasty if the beans are freshly ground.
I use two apps and neither of them are the official app.
My main app is GRTransit. It gives realtime info, has a favourites list, shows all bus times, and can also find all nearby stops.
The other app I use, as of recently, is BusStop. I like this one because you can rename stops on your favourites list. With the other app, I'd have to memorize stop numbers if I have multiple stops from the same route on my favourites list but with this one it's just really easy to discern stops at a glance.
I'm on Android--I have no idea if either of these are available on iOS.
people's smellers work better in humid air.

I think taxi companies might do food delivery also. Maybe try calling Waterloo Taxi.
On a side note, there’s gotta be better Timbits in KW than Tim Hortons. Someone please tell me there are better options.
I use an app called daylio. It tracks mood, with an option to add an unlimited amount of other activities. I initially used it to track alcohol intake, but I've expanded it to include a lot of other stuff now too. It takes like 15 seconds to add a data point - Tap tap, click what mood you feel like, select what activities you'd like to record alongside that mood at that time. Gives insights, mood over time, track the frequency of the activities over time, and will correlate which activities make you feel a certain way. Pretty neat stuff
I got the Hopkins brush Wirecutter loves for myself and various family members. A bit of a splurge, but it's worked perfectly for years, and my car is usually cleaned off much better than most. This style of brush with a telescopic handle and rotating head is available much cheaper, but they seem to vary in quality quite a bit.
Reminds me of the time he called out another MP for cussing, then 7 days later didn't realize his Twitter app automatically included hashtags on replies and dropped the F-bomb at someone.

Depending on your shape the first few runs might be rough or you might not be able to complete the session but you can build on it. You will be doing 5k as early as 8 weeks.
You would be in fairly good shape by then to do the CIBC run for the cure on Oct 2. It's not really a competitive race so nothing to worry about there.
There is bridge to 10k once you have finished the C25k. It's 6 more weeks.
I'm trying to find the particular situation you speak of because something sounds familiar. Also, for consideration:
and
and maybe also check out the resources linked on those articles.
The lack of specific information printed such as name, age, height, regular location attendances etc are red flags about this 'missing' person. The biggest red flag is that the poster wants to be contacted instead of directing to police investigating a missing person. Without some authority vetting the claim, trying to help can only serve to potentially violate someone's privacy, or worse.
I want to be wrong.
As I said a moment ago, I'll happily eat my words and do what I can to get the word out if the police post a notice.
> Is it better to get undercoat at the dealer?
Is it necessary to undercoat a new car at all? Many years ago it used to be necessary, or at least desirable. In this millennium, not so much.
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2015/04/survival-guide-to-buying-a-new-car/index.htm "All modern cars are factory-treated for rust protection, and additional undercoating can do more harm than good."
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-drive/culture/commuting/should-i-rust-proof-my-new-car/article624237/ "With a brand-new car, you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with an anti-perforation guarantee, and the corrosion protection system already designed into your vehicle. Make sure you keep your car clean, and if you're really worried, treat your wheel well area to a good protection coating."
What kind of hobbies are interests do you have? Usually this is the best place to start as you'll have some common ground with other people there. Meetup.com is often recommended.
It also causes the complaint about him on page 10 of this 1975 issue of The Chevron to be seen in a whole new light.
(An aside, that issue of The Chevron also has an article about apathy in the UW Feds elections, and a centre spread that appears to be concerns about Syncrude and the Alberta tar sands, so apparently nothing has changed in 40 years)

Is the problem that it takes too long to get to somewhere, because you can't drive fast enough? It's ~90km from Hwy 8 to downtown Toronto on the 401/427/Gardiner. 90km at 120km/h is 45 minutes (0.75 hours). At 130km/h its 40 minutes (0.7hours). I don't think that 10km/h is going to make much of a difference. (I also don't think anybodys actually making that time, due to traffic etc)
Of course, if you really want to get to Toronto fast, the fastest HSR at 300km/h would take 20 minutes direct from downtown Kitchener to Downtown toronto. Throw on 5-10 minutes each for stops at Guelph and Malton and you're still coming out ahead, especially since it would never (functionally) face congestion.
130 vs 120 is also going to have a negative impact on your own safety in situations that you cannot control - disregarding how good of a driver you are. Feel free to give this Stopping distance calculator a try. Even in good conditions (0 grade, dry road, 1 second reaction time, presumed good car (keep in mind other morons drive terrible pieces of crap on the 401)) I'm still seeing about 15 extra metres of stopping distance - from 115 to 130 metres. You or I might keep 30 car lengths between us and the person in front when driving so fast, but theres no way in a million years I'd trust everybody else not to try and squeeze in in front of me, and trust my life to their reaction times as well. Especially for maximum 5 minutes saved on a trip to Toronto.
Yes, it's easy to snoop on it's entirely unsecured. Visit a normal HTTP website and indeed someone could sniff around and find out what you're doing. But like I said, just about everything you do online these days is sent through HTTPS or uses TLS because it's standardized now. Most websites, webservers, apps, games etc are utilizing TLS.
I'd argue most people know what a VPN is these days too, even if they don't use one yet. Every YouTube video in the world has ads for NordVPN, PIA, TunnelBear, ExpressVPN and dozens more. They're fairly common place. People have been sold on these through good offers and ads and the fact that, even if they aren't that worried about security, they are pulled in by the fact they can watch region locked video.
I have a small bin on my counter that I use liners in that I got from Amazon. When the bag is full I put it in my Green Bin then start another bag. Depending on how much stuff I have in the bag I put it out weekly or bi-weekly.

It's decent, though it comes with a warning that it's not meant for heavy rain and the like - so far it's done well (I think the advisory is because of the open USB port).
Yooo I can't recommend the G502 strongly enough. At risk of sounding like a shill, Ive used it for a few years after using razer mice, and I absolutely love it. The price is close to what you linked, and it just been solid.

Our water softener is hooked up to our hot water only. I installed an under-sink filter system for our drinking water which has its own tap at our kitchen sink.
Or OP can buy a USB-attached CD (and DVD) burner from any of the usual suspects (Amazon, Canada Computers, Newegg...) along with some blank CDs and create as many as they need. Last time I looked a CD burner went for as little as $20.

I understand what you mean. Especially if you're single. KW is rather conservative and family-oriented.
I suggest getting involved in activities that interest you. You might find some interesting groups on meetup.com. Or you can start one yourself if you don't find a suitable one.
Even if it works, I already have a working softener, and the current price of the system is equivalent to almost 8 years of salt for us, and that's before factoring filters.
Also, am I supposed to kick a perfectly functional softener to the curb to save the environment?
In early 2021 I bought a Cuisinart TOA-65C as I wanted both a toaster oven, and air fryer. Overall it works well but I don't make fried too often. it excels at cooking frozen appetizers, roasting vegetables, reheating pizza, and baking small frozen entrees.
I did have a major warranty issue come up about 1 year into ownership. The rotary control knob basically stopped registering input, so the unit was basically a paperweight or I had to play roulette with my temperature and time settings. I contacted them and within a week or so they shipped me a replacement free of charge. I had to cut-off the power cord of the old one to render it useless and was told to dispose of it. I didn't have to wait months to ship it back, have them look at it, and then ship me a repaired unit or a new one. Amazing customer service.
So their 3 year warranty is good.

Get yourself a Milk Bag Holder, and you'll find there's no need to buy plastic milk jugs.
The bags are better for the environment anyway (weighs less, and less plastic, and you can recycle the empty milk bags along with your plastic bags).
Which I like because it comes with a lid, but you can literally buy a much cheaper one from a Dollar Store, Walmart, or any grocery store.
Great idea! I see those toilet paper New Blue signs here in London too. I think I'll get one too!

>My landlord only calls me about it, which i found weird...
It's disturbing, the amount of time I've experienced people trying to avoid a 'paper trail' are the same ones trying to avoid responsibility/liability for their actions. Not sayingnyour landlord is such a person, but we do have one party consent recording in Canada and from my own professional experience it is totally legal to record your conversations with landlord over the phone (I currently use this app ).
>Ive found so much black mold around the windows and when I brought it up the landlord mentioned "most people dont even scrub it off"
Yikes, please contact the government link posted.
A beater bike is the way to go. I've found old 3 speed raleigh or ccm bikes attract little attention from opportunistic thieves. A shiny new bike of any kind will be a magnet for those types of people.
The more dedicated bike thieves that use angle grinders and bottle jacks probably won't waste time on an old 3 speed with rusty fenders and a bent wald basket on the front. U-locks can be pried open with a scaffold pipe so I use a (chain like this)[https://www.amazon.ca/Schlage-999461-Security-Chain-Cinch/dp/B00X6E0NO0/] and a small u-lock that is hard to get a big enough lever in the shackle. It's not perfect but I've yet to have my city bike stolen though I don't leave it on the street overnight, it goes grocery shopping, and out to the movies and whatnot in uptown.

this is true but if it's basic mechanical failure of the drive there are fairly cost effective ways to recover. so worth finding a local shop that can try to tackle it but probably not worth shipping it out to the big places unless data is critical and worth many thousands of dollars - in which case you should really think your choices of not having a backup for an external drive with 'super valuable data'. in any case if you are looking for very affordable online backup check out backblaze.com/

To be honest I'm not too sure anywhere local would have these, but found some on Amazon, they're about $10 for a decent sized one . Other than that I can't provide much help, but maybe you could try to reach out to some local LGBTQ groups which might have some available or be able to point you in the right direction, good luck!
I've enjoyed many parts of the Bruce Trail. Some areas are a little more touristy than others, but usually only around the big drawing 'feature' like a waterfall or whatever. I find the trails not directly leading to whatever the tourist spot is are usually empty. Most people show up, go get a selfie, and leave.
Huron Natural Area is a great local spot but can get busier on weekends unless you go early.
One way I have found many of my favorite trails is from Geocaching. I'll find an area with a bunch of caches and figure out what kind of trail it's n and check it out. For example, there's a nice little pathway in the woods between two farmers fields that runs from Manheim Road (At the end of Witmer Road) to Trussler Road out in Wilmot.
Petersburg Bush was a nice hike, but depending on the time of year it's pretty buggy. We saw lots of dogs since it is crown land which makes it OK to have doggo off leash (I think).
A map of the route, for what it's worth: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33968859 I made a few tweaks and finished the route after Elmira. Heading straight south from Elmira tends not to be as nice, so assuming the distance is okay, going further west is often worthwhile.
I have the route heading further north to Scotch Line after St. Jacobs (there is a tunnel under Arthur St. and it's not actually bad to ride here), and use a farmer's lane to get across to Jigg's Hollow, thereby avoiding Northfield. Typically I avoid private lanes, but this one doesn't have any residences or buildings along it, so I generally feel okay about it.
I'm not sure where you live in KW, as that can make quite a big difference. I agree with /u/Halo4356 that St. Jacob's has the most versatility, but I have a good route heading east out of Kitchener as well. You actually hit the bridge Halo mentions in the route out of St. Jacobs, as well as another similar one on Weisenberg Road. You also go through West Montrose, although the route doesn't cross the covered bridge.
Its also worthwhile to check fast.com instead of ookla's speedtest pages if you want to check your network speed. Ookla has been known to collude with ISPs to report better than actual speeds.

Fast.com is run by netflix, so they have a bit of a vested interest in keeping ISPs honest about speeds and throughput.
An easy fix for the draft is to buy weather stripping for under the door. However f the cold is coming through the actual door and not the crack, you may want to ask the landlord for a door replacement with an external door.

Hi,
I just opened up our free cash-back phone spam filter for Canada. Give it a go if you've got an Android Phone.
Normally I'm pretty wary towards posts about "super cool new apps" because a lot of the time it comes across as just someone trying to market their project.
But this is something I've personally wanted to see for a long time, and even toyed with the idea of making myself. It's long overdue.
>Tried to look up alternate transit home, but since I was so close to the train stop it's all Google maps would suggest
The grteasygo app is still available on the Play store (they seem to have abandoned it) and seems to work properly although it hasn't been updated in 16 months and the maps will not load unless you have gps on. There's also an app simply called Transit that works nicely and shows nearby stops and live bus/lrt locations.
It works on a lot of sites, so long as you have not already triggered the paywall from coming up before in a normal browser tab and you still have the cookies for it. If it doesn't work, try to clear your cookies and then access news sites with paywalls in Incognito.
You can also put the URL of an article into or there are a few browser extensions that'll get around most paywalls. Certain VPNs will also block them; I use NordVPN and it has a feature called CyberSec, which blocks ads/trackers/malware I think other companies such as TunnelBear and PIA have similar features. I love the VPN features in particular, because it blocks ads in apps and on YouTube.

door handles ripped off? Jeeze that's intense. I know my car has an alarm, but you can get things like http://www.amazon.com/AliMed-Tamper-Proof-Magnetic-Alarm/dp/B002VWJZCY these at the least. Voip.ms is where i get my phone numbers (DID's) from.
