Hats off to whoever made that trailer, the editing was pretty fantastic. You might want to let them know the “greatest Legion server” is actually retail 🙄 here’s a link https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/
I also recently had someone come in my live stream saying “Wow-freakz is better than retail”... So yeah. There’s that
i dont get it...they claimed their host shut them down due to a C&D letter from "B".
yet they are still using OVH https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=ptr%3a37.187.103.5&run=toolpage
I think "B" might get them again...lol
Literally thousands of dollar, considering €rogge sold 60+ max lvl characters on Elysium PvP only.
That's just one of his transactions for you:
And $henna, who stayed unemployed for more than a year living exclusively off this project, has enough money to pay for a vacation in Montenegro.
What we have on our hands is perhaps the biggest scam in private server history. These 2 scumbags are Bonnie and Clyde of pserver scene.
It's usually more of a scare tactic, they don't want you downloading things like that again. They don't want to lose customers and don't really care about this stuff at all; they are just legally obligated to put a foot forward be it an email, or more archaic businesses doing these sorts of calls and meetings. Or else they get in trouble themselves.
Basically, do not incriminate yourself at all. You can play it off with lies or feign naiveté. If they say anything about the company (Blizzard/whatever) wanting your personal information you should seek legal advice immediately and be weary what you say could be used against you. Do not admit to doing anything they claim you did!. Focus instead on telling them you're longterm customer and they shouldn't get any notices ever again. Their reps probably have to deal with this stuff often so try to ask them the requirements you must fulfill to get your service back.
You should always use a VPN for torrenting. I recommend ExpressVPN, its a higher cost than others but considerably safer than the cheap alternatives who might track your history making it pointless to use the VPN.
Don't know what to expect honestly... just look at the state of the dk zone, holy fuck that's bad http://pokit.org/get/img/15188c67a2ab543fad4fe82edcd8826c.jpg
Every other quest there is auto complete, all phases are mashed up together (you see mobs from various parts of the quest chain), the Deathchargers nuke the living hell out of you when you attack a mob close to them.
Maybe they just focused on the Legion content... but the dk zone is pitiful so far
So because two characters have similar names, they are owned by the same person?
Using the same logic that person must control all of these players too.
People have level 60s on Elysium, why couldn't someone have leveled engineering to 215 in that time and crafted the goggles, gotten a rare drop, and 1.5k honor kills at level 37?
This post is entirely bullshit with no actual evidence.
Hi, Gladiator feral druid from S2-S6 here.
Horde racials are objectively better in arena in TBC, you are wrong. WotF, Arcane Torrent and Hardiness are all better than anything Alliance has; the only racial that comes close is Escape Artist.
Feel free to check my credentials.
I noticed here that his youtube channel was mentioned in the paperwork as well. He may have gone through and removed a lot of things to spare himself from any litigation.
To see if your email is potentially compromised, go here: https://haveibeenpwned.com/
I just checked, and sadly, mine has been. They have my email I use on LH (and Elysium before the split), but the password I used on the game client, which isn't the same as my email password (thankfully).
Nevertheless, I changed passwords on everything, and I suggest you do the same.
Context: Dude(from https://www.twitch.tv/normander01) says he wants to have his legion preorder cancelled. He can't. He said something about legacy servers not being a thing being the reason (wasn't there for the whole time, so this might be wrong) and the gm replied with this.
AFAIK Blizz aren't allowed to say they make mistakes, as stupid as that sounds, especially representatives like GM's can't just differ from their public opinion...Except Blizz plans to do legacy servers and just hasn't announced them yet, or GM's have more freedom than I thought, OR...He just doesn't give a fuck.
However, I find this interesting. Even GM's want it. Blizz, get your shit together.

As usual, not correct info. All people do around complaining about fake pop (which is like 10% on real realms and none on lordaeron), ignoring all feats and all good things on the server because of blind hatred.
Being the top dog and having most people makes other servers and people butthurt. Warmane has the money and they have the developers, slowly these people won't have anything to complain about, mark my words.
Yeah, a VPN will help you bypass this. Just get a good one and avoid free ones, because they are not very secure and recommended. If you need recommendations you can look at Surfshark VPN, I bought it recently together with my friends. ExpressVPN and Vypr are also good ones.
1) Lights hope has the highest pop, but Kronos and Elysium are pretty rock solid. Especially Kronos, never really hear people talk about it anymore but it's always had an active playerbase and I doubt it's going anywhere for a long time.
2) https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5076223/World_of_Warcraft_Client_-_Version_1.12.1_enUS_-_Windows
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/is-it-illegal-to-play-world-of-warcraft-on-a-private-server/
Long story short, the courts in the US have ruled in favour of game emulation in the past. It depends on what the server is doing, there could be a variety of reasons the server gives to Blizzard to allow them to take it to court.
As jamesgoblin has said, it is unlikely Blizzard can obtain cease and desists from EU courts, since the process could take them much much longer, and is much harder from them then in the US, and since they will be dealing with different countries that have its own law and court system. Its an even more painful process.
Release is 5pm CET. http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20150328T17&p0=288&msg=Kronos+release
Edit: Regarding the wrong timer, it's an issue with some browsers not accounting for timezone.
This is the options menu that I am referring to: http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php?page=Manual+4.4+Advanced+-+Configuration
You can find it by navigating to you application in Finder. Right click the application and select Show package Contents. You will see an application with the Wineskin icon. Double clicking should display the Advanced Configuration from above.
After that, play around with the "Set Screen Options" menu. However be aware, if you have been using a plain Wineskin install you might be missing drivers etc.
Yea... this is triggering so many flags and breaking taboos when it comes to private server emulation...
Hopefully he can avoid the CD and the lawsuit for a long time... he is risking a lot of things by doing this and that in itself is praiseworthy
PS. Just saw that he changed the site to felmyst, but it seems google doesn't like the idea xD http://pokit.org/get/img/3f5e415bbc98d409871a23bf5ffbadcb.jpg
If you are that worried I have two pieces of advice.
Get a good paid VPN that has a lot of servers like NordVPN, Express, Vypr. They all have free trials I think so you can check them out before committing. I personally use Nord, they have about 5K servers so the latency is low when I connect to close servers. Other VPNs are good as well, it all comes to what matters most to you - features and pricing
Back in the day I had problems connecting to games like League of legends, hearthstone etc...
My solution was to connect using VPN (I used Hotspot Shield), I don't know why but that fixes it.
Vanilla talent calculator
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oppahansi.vtc
Only bug I've found is that sometimes you need to clear the trees before starting, it seems to think talents are already used. Other than that it works great.
You need to have other things in mind when saying stuff like that, "just buffing raids" will fuck a lot of things up, it can never be "perfect" and it shouldn't be, even on legion now if you go to ranked battlegrounds on legion atm: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/game/pvp/leaderboards/battlegrounds
There are no warriors in top100, why not just buff them right?
To record, the best app is Open Broadcaster Software. It is free, efficient and provides good quality.
Sadly, for editing there are no free editors. There are some for Linux (e.g. Kdenlive, Openshot), most Macs are sold with iMovie.
Free linear video editor for Windows is Windows (live) Movie Maker. Known paid software is Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere Pro
You aren't supposed to just download the .exe from their website and run it as a stand alone, that's just a clean .exe for if your already have an existing cataclysm install. You don't need to worry about that.
As to the torrent, uninstall the bloatware that came on your computer called "Torrent RT FREE" or whatever (Maybe it's malware, I don't know).
Installed a respectable Torrent client like Deluge. http://deluge-torrent.org/
use the torrent option from the Atlantiss website again, and it should hopefully ask to open with Deluge this time around.
You can also get the mini client which will download the full game for you, although that comes in .7z format, so you'll have to install something like 7-zip to extract the compressed contents from the file, unless you already have a program that understands .7z files.
If you look at raidstats https://tinyurl.com/n94cbv5
Theres way more raiding going on at elysium.
Kronos is a fine server, ive raided hardcore on both, but ely is where its at for a new vanilla raider.
They don't have any servers in Russia.
Their data centers are in Beauharnois + Montreal (quebec), Gravelines + Roubaix + Strasbourg + Paris (France)
https://www.ovh.com/us/images/about-us/location-data.jpg
So this pretty much proves that the server is and won't be hosted in Russia and that they've been lying since the beginning.
> Sometimes you need to open your eyes and click on some links,
This is kind of an douche statement considering that A. You never provided me with any links prior to this thread that you posted. B. You said "OVH" not "Kimsufi" not "soyoustart", you said "OVH"
So like a good boy who does some of his homework, I went to good and typed in "OVH" and clicked the link that came up which was "https://www.ovh.com/us/index.xml"
You cant say one thing, and completely mean something totally different and expect people to automatically know every subsidiary of a company.
Also, no reason to act smug, Im glad you feel superior in some way, Im sure it helps with the parent issues you may have had as a child. Thanks for providing me with information, but you really need to learn that not everyone has the act same knowledge as you, and pretending like it makes you better than other people will hurt you in the future.
It was fun though, I thought we were having an adult conversation that I enjoyed. That was well, up until you got offended that someone 'thought' your method just wasnt as good. You bore me, so don't be expecting any replies from this point on.
It can be a simple attempt to steal identities and credentials. If it is not the site is not ready. I am not sure why you believe i run my own vanilla server.
If it's about the name, it's a joke. You can check out the game Deponia, if you are interested. It's considered cult in a lot of circles. At least a certain female character is.
I do not suggest running wine when when there is a native 1.12.1 client that works just fine on private servers. (except the stupid transport bug that no vanilla server wants to fix)
There is no need to actually download a mac wow client since all you have to do is download wow for windows and put in 1.12.1 wow.app into the folder
I'm not currently on mac so I can't give you my 1.12.1 wow.app but I can give you my entire wow mac folder: https://mega.nz/#!xYYmwJCJ!Wh4PPR7hDsV0ktqO4PNI906Szf0E9kDsZip0__GFdzY It contains everything you need in order to play.
I think this is enUS but I'm not sure since I uploaded this ages ago.
usually you can use https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ to check why your page is loading slowly it will provide suggestions to fix etc. but currently i think your page has too much data to scan or it times out.
im going to say that you need to add some paging, perhaps 1 page per patch.
If you haven't been you should use a different password for every account you make. For a password manager I would recommend anything which stores your passwords offline.
Keepass is pretty decent and it's open source. Even a notepad document would be good if nobody else uses your computer.
For emails you can't go wrong with a temporary one. If you want something else you could use mozilla relay. They give you 4 free mozilla emails which you can use and all emails sent to those will be forwarded to your main email. So the private server will never know your true email. And if one ever starts forwarding you spam you can delete that mozilla email and generate a new one.
Although the retail players barely noticed it, according to https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/21182074 at least. Guess these are good news for Blizz - they're attracting very different people from those they already have subscribed.
Take a look at this, https://translate.yandex.com/ocr
Here you can put in screenshot and it translates everything inside the screenshot basically. I only use it f or raid/dungeon groups though since I have a personal english translated patch for Sirus. But overall this website should help you out alot
I wouldn't use utorrent its crap http://deluge-torrent.org/ < use this
Just download and install that and goto http://www.excalibur-server.com/
Click Download Windows client and it should auto recognize you installed deluge and just open it and download!
As far as I can remember my copy of WotLK ran perfectly through WINE on Kubuntu back in the day, with nothing to configure. I'm guessing these days it's even easier via LUTRIS:
Trying to resist ded servers are still ded retort.

Blizzard can have all the money in the world constantly swimming around with stock and shares sales and purchases. They can even inflate their own sales for impressive launch figures for all I care, not that I'm saying that they do that. It doesn't matter about my logic, my delusions or allusions, my reasoning, my decision making at all if Blizzard don't have the players because the masses have moved to WoW legacy private servers and that's where their money is rolling, the masses of those players deciding how to spend their cash is what really matters and all that matters at the end of the day.
And it's not European or Oceanic players that got screwed over by Blizzard the most during Felmyst's launch. No, no, nope, it was USA players.
And if there is one thing I have learned it is this dear Blizzard: You don't fuck over American's. American's will make their displeasure known. Once again, "B", good luck gaining custom and if those American's have spread their dissatisfaction good luck gaining American custom in general in the future.
Blizzard now have true competition against WoW and it is WoW legacy on private servers. And I'm on their competitors side of the line when it comes down to crunch time. Let's see who is left standing at the end of that day... it might not be Blizzard's WoW, ironically.
I wasn't implying anything I just didn't touch on the topic of a breach coming from server side. In my experience this type of issue is more often caused due to the reasons I listed and not due to security breaches however Breaches can happen and do so occasionally, but as you said its due to a server that doesn't have sufficiently established security thats kept up to date for their db. In some cases you could even be compromised due to a keylogger hidden in files/addons. Most servers are low/no budget so I disagree and feel that isn't a valid point, for example Warmane is a very successful business and I believe they had a breach recently. Someone posted on this subreddit like a week or 2 ago warning ppl and out of all the servers they listed I only had a warmane account, I checked out https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and it turned out the email i used for that account was verified breached.
Some context: It's quite clear right now that Kronos 3 had a successful launch, and has a healthy population. In a little less than two months, LH will also be launching its new, "fresh" server (which still doesn't have a name though).
I know there's a lot of competition between both projects right now, but the last poll was seriously biased: https://www.strawpoll.me/15445258/r (lol those questions).
SO, instead of trying to influence people like the previous guy did, I'm simply asking you: where will you be playing in two months? Of course, this poll doesn't concern people who are not interested by either of these projects.
Thanks a lot, guys.
Took a few ss with the stock client i have.
http://pokit.org/get/img/2c81f490163d42d6b923b878d5df036f.jpg
The target frame shows 11% (may be 11 hp but the % mark is still there). The tooltip also fucks up and shows 11/100, indicating a %
http://pokit.org/get/img/0bec66ac7cb9148728cd30ec41c87bd3.jpg
This is a SS of a mob i already have cached via MobInfo. The target frame shows 42/42 (which is what MobInfo saved on another private server) but the tooltip shows 55/100 (which seems to be Hellfire hp).
Yes, i will admit that they did a good job of avoiding the client crash (and showing a hp value above 100) but its still very risky and has issues like the obvious ones i mentioned already. Yea, this is purely cosmetic but it shows that you need to work around stuff and that the client is not being used as its designed to be.
Hey man I can't help you with that file but I can give you some advice. Check out https://protonvpn.com , they are a great VPN service that has a free 7 day trial with unlimited use until it expires. I used it to download all of the wow clients and whatever I needed before it ran out. After the trial runs out, they don't cover P2P connections but they still provide a good VPN service for free. Hope I can help!
I respect your opinion and that of the most of this sub here. You should not trust anyone on the internet if you dont want to get scammed or fooled. That is absolutely fine.
However, as someone who used to work there as a QA I can tell you that during that time the population was not faked at all (talking about Warmane, not the molten days because there it was a bit "buffed"). The thing is that most of the staff does not care about this at all, after all no matter what they say they will still be called shady and accused of faking their pop and queue. The other reason why they don't care and don't even bother explaining themselves other than "no, deal with it" is because they already have a decently sized community that generates income. That community does not care about any of this because they simply enjoy playing there.
The only ways you could get actual information about their pop is by executing .account onlinelist as a gm level 4, or ping the population to get their ips or just track the site and realmlist activity (for example via https://www.similarweb.com/website/warmane.com#overview)
No matter what I say will change your mind, and that's absolutely fine by me. The point i wanted to make is that there is no reliable way to verify the fake population info with who, and because of the new wowservers rule about fake news and accusations without evidence people could get hit by mods. Its simply a warning and I have warned people before about this too (now its just formally there)
Every private server website will give you links to download their client. Have you ever used torrenting?
https://www.utorrent.com/desktop/
Download this so you can actually download most of these files. I can explain what it does, but torrenting itself is not bad or even likely to get you viruses. It's when you torrent random movies or applications from piratebay or wherever that you're likely to get someone adding a virus to it. But as long as you trust the website you will be fine.

If any one of these servers attatched a virus to it, this sub would hit them hard.
Something you can look into is a trace route of your connection between your PC and realm. Have a read of this, you really dont need to read it all :D

EDIT: you dont need to use their "tools" you can simply open command prompt and issue the commands manually, with a little bit of google education you can usually work out what the issue is. It may be that your data path has taken a less than ideal route, or there could be a bottleneck somewhere that is beyond your control and probably temporary. HTH
I will announce updates on my patreon (the last one was Friday evening). Maybe I will hardcode my twitter stream (with a link) or something else somewhere in the next version for letting people know about them. The link i provided should always be the same since it points to the folder the setup exe is in and not the exe itself.
To use twitter you must first have your own twitter account. Enter your twitter credentials in the main options page (when you click on "Arnore's WoW Launcher"). To get your credentials go to https://apps.twitter.com/ and create a twitter app. The credentials should be generated and displayed inside.
Heres a step by step guide. https://auth0.com/docs/connections/social/twitter
Finally, in the settings menu of any of the expansion tabs, go to the twitter group box and enter the name of the twitter page you want to subscribe to into the text box. ie. LightsHopeWoW (the @ is added automatically). Press the + icon to add it.
Hope this helps. Get back to me if you have any problems.
Windscribe VPN gives 10gigs free a month. ProtonVPN has a week-long free trial for their premium, and only needs email so you can just sign up for a new free trial each week. Or just buy one of the thousands of VPNs out there for unlimited bandwidth on one.
Still doubtful, but if I was you I would just get a free trial of a VPN and just torrent it. Just make sure your not leaking ip before downloading the torrent. Use to see. And make sure you activate network Killswitch or similar name incase VPN connection drops. Vpns with free trials without payment info that I know of is, AIRVPN, PRIVATE VPN, IBVPN, CACTUS VPN. I say this because I doubt you going to find client on site like mega or something because it's like 50gb.
These days I don't think many tweaks could help. I'm not sure why you've had an increase of 50ms, but unless your ISP is doing something annoying, like packet shaping, I don't think there's much you can do.
Back in WotLK days, there were some registry 'hacks' you could do that definitely improved latency for me.
If it will help you today, I don't know. Things have changed.
Have a look at "Gaming Tweak - Disable Nagle's algorithm" section in that link. The TcpAckFrequency=1 bit is the only part you should follow.
You may get a better result with latency when using a VPN, but I doubt it.
TunnelBear, Hotspot Shield and Spotflux have free VPN trials/tiers and could be used to assess whether or not you may experience improvement.
Dude, FUUUUUUUUCK razer products man. They last like no time at all honestly.
I bought the Utech mmo moust for like a fraction of the price and it has been going strong 3 years and counting.
Red dragon perdition. Corsair scimitar level quality for half the price. Don't bother with Razer stuff, it is low quality, overpriced, and overrated.
https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Programmable-Precision-Buttons-Windows/dp/B00GU8W5AE
NordVPN has good speed and claims to not keep logs. It is compatible with openvpn so you don't necessarily have to run their application to connect. It's like 2.50 a month if you buy 3 years in advance lol.
You literally download a piece of software, select a server to connect to, and that's it. Since you're not torrenting anything there's no need to worry about using a free VPN...other than I guess servers can be very hit or miss and slow. Free VPN I'd recommend VPN Gate, but if you choose to roll a paid one which will have far better speeds, connection reliability, and privacy I most often see PIA and Nord recommended. I personally use Torguard.
Pay for a year of VPN. I paid for a year through Private Internet Access, and while I haven't used it to play a private server (although now that I quit retail for the 2nd time in Legion, I'm thinking about starting if I can find a decent PvE server), it has worked wonders for torrenting.
I used it for other purposes but it works fine for playing games, haven't had any dropouts or lag ever so I'm always connected to it unless I want to stream or download something big. It drops your bandwidth by about 20-30%.
Makes sense. Primal was unplayable for me for months. I've had to use VPN programs like CyberGhost and finally found Pingzapper which I have used my month trial already and having to pay a sub. Pretty fucked up. I have been thinking about dropping ATT for a bit, this is one good reason to proceed.
Off-topic FYI: I recently started using Private Internet Access in conjunction with Qbittorrent and it's super easy and nice for peace of mind. My torrents WONT download unless my private Internet is turned on. This advice is ONLY for movies or other contemporary content that is under copyright. You're good downloading old wow clients
Thanks for the reply man, it's interesting to hear it from someone that has experience.
I connected to The Rebirth which was giving me 700ms-ish, until I connected through ExpressVPN (connected to Hong Kong) which took it down to about 350ms. It's noticeable but not annoyingly so.
Maybe I'll take a look at changing the language for retail, but I'm not sure I have enough time to afford paying for it. It'd seem like wasted money in all honesty.
Private Internet Access works very well without slowing down your connection too much. you need to pay monthly to use it but it's worth it to stop anyone snooping on what you're doing.
Unless they changed something overnight, this still isn't working. You only have one choice of 31 point talent in each tree, last I tested.
For example: Paladin:
You can have Holy Shock, Holy Shield, or Repentance...
but not Light's Grace, Blessed Life; Spiritual Attunement, Ardent Defender; The Art of War, or Judgements of the Wise
Of course, for most trees the single choice is the only viable one. Prot pallies could use the mana regen from heals, but they need the block talent far more. Only Ret would be more useful with that sweet raid-wide Replentishment.
WOW is set in a span of time in the warcraft story line where there isn't really a whole lot happening other than horde and alliance fighting. I'm talking about vanilla thru Burning crusade. I didn't play WOTLK on so I don't know about it. This is why I wouldn't recommend playing the wow game to get your lore. It talks about this around the 25:00 minute mark in the video. Not that you can't read about some lore in WoW, it's just not the most efficient way to learn it. I learned more in 40 minutes of that video I linked than I did in a year of playing wow.
I would start by watching this youtube video. It is a pretty good summary of everything to get you started. He has a ton of videos on the lore on his channel that I haven't gotten to. I would recommend watching the ones that interest you then moving to the novels if you want more.
I read this trilogy and it was pretty good, IMO. It was about the well of eternity and the elves that were mentioned in the video.
Hell, even wikipedia has quite a bit of lore on it. I wouldn't recommend running your own private servers to get lore. Only if you really just want to play the wow content solo.
Legally speaking, Blizzard did not close Nos. They would probably try this under infringement of copyright and protection of their intellectual property.
No Blizzard assets are being hosted on those servers.
This is a very difficult and complex topic. It had always been said that emulation was a "grey area" or illegal as well. It's no longer that way.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.retroarch
If you argue they could force a take-down, then that is the same thing as Apple disallowing emulators. OVH can terminate their contract if they choose to.
That's the thing that is infuriating. Blizzard is not in the right here. This just leads to a whole lot of piracy, but I have moral high ground as I payed a lot of money for WoW classic and for TBC.
All that being said, nobody has the energy and money to fight legal battles like that against Blizzard.
