Those Aren’t Fighting Words, Dear + pass
TL;DR:
– I don’t love you anymore. I’m not sure I ever did.
– I don’t buy it.

I love you for not having a Fitocracy account. I don't have one either but last week I used a BugMeNot acct to check out something someone posted here.
All I got out of it was this. Scotty posted a profile a day or two ago about this girl who is 17 and posts the most ridiculous workout logs. The volume and sets don't even make sense, and she could be setting Junior National records with the types of #s she's claiming. Warms up with a 135 widowmaker, then does a 255 widowmaker, and then some higher singles and shit.
I commented with the fake acct to ask for a form video and say those #s are skeptical and she told me to fuck off. Numerous white knights defended her honor on the off chance it gets them laid.
Guys, it's NYTimes. I'm pretty sure they randomly ask you to log in. I got in fine this time, but I sometimes see the "you must login" as well.
Install bugmenot and don't worry about it anymore.
Bugmenot.com sometimes you need to use / download some thing on a web site but they make you sign up first. Bugmenot is full of accounts that people have created for public use. Some of the user names and passwords don't work , but some do.
And we come back to the study that was done stating that the removal of mosquitoes from the ecosystem would not have a noticeable impact.
I'll dig about for the link and edit when I find it.
edit: http://www.nature.com/news/2010/100721/full/466432a.html requires login, there are ways around that, not sure if the pdf requires a login
The first scribd.com password listed at bugmenot.com worked for me.
The scribd (blech) page has a littled "Download this document [as PDF] for free" link hovering near the bottom left.
For those of you downloading vmware fusion by following the directions in the appliance manual, note that when the vmware site asks for a usename and password, you can use these dummy accounts so you don't have to make your own.
I have their bookmarklet added to my bookmarks. I can just go to a login page, click on it, and it will take me to a page with sets of usernames and passwords for the site.
Better don't make an account use an existing one: bugmenot or bypass.rd.to.
If you want a disposable addresses layer protecting your real address, there is spamgourmet.
Otherwise you can rely on [mailmetrash](mailmetrash.com).
There's a bookmarklet for that.
javascript:(function(){w=open(('http://www.bugmenot.com/view/'+encodeURIComponent(location.host)),'w','location=no,status=yes,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=500,height=400,modal=yes,dependent=yes');if(w){setTimeout('w.focus()',1000)}else{location='http://www.bugme...);
I have the perfect solution for you then.
BugMeNot is a website that provides you with user data of certain websites. If the forum you're talking about is big enough, it's highly likely to be in BugMeNot's database.
This is the best alternative I can provide you.
The APC 10 contact modular jack usually contains USB connections. The cable just connects it to a USB port; it doesn't do any sort of signal conversion.
I recommend PowerChute Personal 2.x on Windows 7 and Vista. In 3.x, the application that runs at login gives you a UAC prompt. You can still download 2.2 from APC. (Use BugMeNot to avoid having to register.)
You can get around the NY times login by deleting a specific cookie. I am not sure which one but ill try to find it.
Also there are some public accounts here.

I haven't checked if any of them work or not though.
BugMeNot.com - This site lists usernames and passwords for websites; not to pirate, but to get past annoying account requirements (e.g. a newspaper's website you'd only go on once, to read a single article written.)
RetailMeNot.com - More people have heard of this, I think... It's a site where you can enter a URL to see coupon/promo codes. Free to use, and all it does is save you money
http://www.bugmenot.com I think (can't view it at work, blocked). Recycled logins for these kinds of purposes. Also with Chrome and Adblock I just block the overlay elements on a lot of those sites.
An even better way is to get into the habit of not giving out your email address whenever you register for a new service or forum. If you're just a passerby, BugMeNot might already have signup credentials available. If you're testing out some new service, give them a temporary email address. You can usually connect your email address to the service later if you end up using it a lot.
I use http://lesbo101.com It is a paysite but then I used http://www.bugmenot.com and found a free username and password that has been working for over 2 years now. It is probably more directed at guys but is 100% girl/girl videos.
> Second, anime take clearly states that all you need to do is register and login to see the links.
Checkout BugMeNot while you're at it. I just tested the first login and it seems to work.
There is a reason websites like www.bugmenot.com exist. Information should be as open and easily accessible as possible. Do you need an account to read reddit? Do you think that would be a good idea? I'd like to also be able to submit, comment and do other things without logging in, but then you run into spam and other stuff, so it is an acceptable compromise. But NYTimes' practice is without merit to the consumer, and should be discouraged.
How is that going to work when I can go to Google News and find the same story in hundreds of other places?
And you can bet the pay site will eventually be as infested with ads as the free one
And there is another problem with pay walls
Sorry about that, maybe try the printer version? Or if all else fails, bugmenot
You should read the article, it was surprising to me. Use a fake login the NYTimes logins persist for months, it is actually a pretty decent system.
> You can always make news with doomsday predictions, but you can usually make money betting against them.
For those who won't read an interesting article (I read the article previously simply because I read the nytimes) due to the log in issues, you might consider the following website: http://www.bugmenot.com/view/nytimes.com
Or not, but you might miss out on an interesting article.
