Practice.
Also, depending if you play on the internet, using a voice changer like Clownfish works miracles.
Back to the practice, I usually do silly voices when I'm driving to work/home/anywhere and funny sound effects Nothing much to it really.
If you are not the type to converse alone, this might feel weird. Just like thinking aloud, but louder and with funny voices and effects.
Try doing a dialogue between two characters, perhaps they are in a heated argument about something. One is angry and the other is crying, a brother and sister arguing about their parent.
Or maybe even a massive dragon, threatening to burn and destroy the party with deep low growling. Meanwhile the party with multiple members keep talking positive stuff about facing the dragon.
I prefer doing the voices of my own characters I have played and planned for the future. A generous noble who sounds fake and overly friendly by accident. A timid, anxious man with a sad past and multiple personality disorder and so on.
I’ve heard of a popular one called Clownfish that apparently works quite well. As for if it will have your computer? Use at your own risk. If you’re really worried, back up your important information first.
Clownfish is one ive used recently, its free and has a few different options you can mix and match, like a slight echo, radio, speech to text, as well as pitch slider. It was fairly easy to set up and took a second get the hang of, but id recommend it.
Found this one in a similar thread. They called it Clownfish. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it seems pretty neat.
I've been told it plays well with Clownfish, too, if OP is wanting to try out the social aspect of being trans and hasn't worked on any voice training...

This is the one I use. I tried one called VoiceMod but it wouldn't install properly.
The clownfish one is very straight forward and easy to use.
Voicemod is safe, yes. However it locks a lot of features behind payment, if you're just using the free version only a small amount of voice presets are available (which change every now and then, so the chances of using the same voice two days in a row are slim) and you can't make custom voices.
Personally, I recommend Clownfish - fully free (though it does have a donation if you have money to throw away), a pretty good voice selection, as well as a layer system for mixing voices, a vocoder with various settings, and four reverb filters (for Cave, Church, Choir or Ghostly effects). It also supports VST plugins - not *exactly* custom voices, but it's closer than you get with Voicemod Free...
Nothing is opening, can I confirm its the download from this? https://clownfish-translator.com/voicechanger/download.html It was the middle one 64bit 64bit VST
TextNow is pretty good. It's available on windows, android and ios. As to the speech distortion aspect, there's lots of free software that'll let you do that (Clownfish Voice Changer is one of the most popular ones).
Just get a voice changer, there are plenty of free once out there.
I recommend Clownfish.
I know there will be some whiteknights downvoting me now, but keep in mind that it's the internet, and a match of 30 mins in a video game is not enough to change peoples mind on anything, so just go with it and let them be stupid, don't bother.
My favourite to use is Clownfish Voice Changer. It's system wide so you can use it on any app, and there's a custom pitch option so you can set it to something that sounds believable and affirming to you.
I googled "Voice modulators for discord" and this was the top result https://clownfish-translator.com/voicechanger/
Don't worry about every NPC sounding like you. I can only do like 8 different voices (badly) and my players don't care.
On PC, the one I use is Clownfish Voice Changer. When you install it, I suggest selecting Custom Pitch and then tweaking the slider to a level you are comfortable with.
Clownfish! It works with anything that takes a microphone as input. It also has soundboards and music. As for voice changing, it has some radio, pitch, echo, and combinations of various effects available.
Somewhat kidding, but you could also drop the Discord channel's bandwith in the settings for that channel, my Discord has jokingly made "Xbox Live" as a voice chat channel since the quality gets really crunchy like it used to be.
i use clownfish to stream music or use it like a soundboard.
only downside is that the ui is a little difficult to navigate but there are some youtube tutorials i saw a while ago.
Use clownfish its the best, and easiest to use.

You can put any audio file to play or even just give it a youtube link to play. Super easy to use!
I assume you need something for PC. You would need some way to set profiles and use them/change them on the fly. I am not sure how to do that with Adobe Audition.
You can try clownfish, which is a PC based real-time voice changer - which will allow you to switch between the voices/pre-set profiles.
Try "clownfish voice changer" it allows you change your voice on the fly, but it's bit ass to set up since it can f up your audio drivers.
Making system restore point is highly recommended before installing
This program does ohter things as well, you can use text to speech engine to speak throw the mic or you could play audio files from your mic.
Are you in person or online? If you're in person I can't really help you, but if you're online I found this one yesterday. It's not perfect and doesn't have that many effects, but it has some nice stuff. A good starting point if nothing else, and its pretty easy to use.
