>I trust Razer to not have this bullshit implemented in Synapse
umm, they do. they may not track the order, but they definitely track the frequency. scroll down to Stats & Heatmap
To clarify, the keyboard itself (as far as it's known) does not come with a firmware-level keylogger. The keylogger is included with a "cloud"-based driver that you can optionally install later, though it is included on a disc that comes with the keyboard, or obtained through their website.
The selling point of such driver is the ability to transfer your keyboard customizations (macros, lighting presets, rebindings) across different computers that also have the cloud driver installed. This trend of creating "cloud" drivers is not new. For example, Razer has their own cloud-based driver called Synapse which does the same function as advertised for this Chinese gaming keyboard's drivers. As it's to be expected, the drivers are proprietary.
In the case of the Chinese gaming keyboard, the data was sent in plain text to an Alibaba server:
>The data being sent—in plaintext, no less—has been identified as key presses. This should worry people who bought this keyboard, because that could include email addresses, logins, and even passwords they may have typed at one point or another.
Who knows if i.e. Razer's driver software also has a keylogger bundled that sends the keystrokes and other data using encryption, and to their own servers instead as to not raise any suspicion.
I'm surprised that no other instances have been found before now that this trend of "cloud" software is becoming bigger.
As a side example (and possibly totally unrelated), there was also this other incident showing how easy it is to snoop on wireless keyboards and mice.

Also Protip: Get the settings that you want for your peripherals and just keep Synapse in offline mode permanently :)
True 7.1 Surround Sound
is not surround sound. Get a nice set of audiophile headphones and use Razer Synapse for a real 7.1 Surround Sound
gaming experience.
Yes, they are supported. :)
Uninstall Synapse 3 and install Synapse 2 instead.
You can download the software from this link: https://www.razerzone.com/synapse.

Hi /u/nelsonnyan2001,
You would need our Synapse software to be able to configure the lighting options on your Abyssus 2000. You can download our software through this link: https://www.razerzone.com/synapse.
Make sure to register the product as well here: http://www.razerzone.com/registration/
Thanks,

i dont have a problem launching it, it was a matter of the profiles not auto-switching. here's the directions I got from the Razer team, which worked for me. Let me know if it works for you.
uninstall all Razer software and delete razer folder from Program Files(x86), reboot your pc, download the latest Razer Synapse software https://www.razerzone.com/synapse-3 and install it again, reboot your pc and it should work.
Hey /u/butteroqq,
At the moment, the Razer Mamba TE and the BlackWidow Chroma TE only works in Synapse 2. To check for currently supported devices in Synapse 3, please click on this link: https://www.razerzone.com/synapse-3

Synapse 3 is in beta. It will only recognize a limited number of devices at this time. See this page for list of supported devices However, if you want to setup or customize your Base Station Chroma, you will need to have Synapse 3 installed. It can be installed alongside Synapse 2.
Uninstall all Razer’a software besides Synapse. Then download Revo Uninstaller and uninstall Synapse using advanced mode. Then try installing newest version of Synapse (https://www.razerzone.com/synapse)
Oh weird, didn't even see that. I meant the Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate.
Anyways, despite the name it's just an RGB keyboard where the lighting can be set programatically. It's not Razer's stupidness where the device stores its settings in the cloud, and the device won't work at all if the internet is down.
Assuming you mean 3. Disable the BLOPS Chroma app if you're not too bothered about it being funky.
Don't think I've had any troubles with Synapse personally, though I don't do much with it other than change key binds & colours every now and then.
We announced Synapse Pro coming soon. One of the features is hybrid memory which will allow compatible devices to store the settings after initial setup.

When it launches initially only the Razer Lancehead and Lancehead TE will be supported.
So the Kraken x62 will use a USB2 header to control the pump speed and Lighting control. To use that you'll have to install the NZXT Cam Software
The Razer Gear will need Razer Synapse which can control the RGB and also the Keybinds and such
What are you expecting it to do? I'm unfamiliar with how the Blackwidow Chroma is supposed to operate.
Is this what you're looking for?
Also make sure you have Razer Synapse. That is the driver software for all your Razer devices. In it should be an editor for your chroma colors.
