I use this one - AirPin. This is linked to Pro version but there is free/lite version too. Pro version allows screen mirroring and changing the device name.
Has anyone used both? How do they compare?

Works great, and I've never had an issue sending audio and/or video to android from iOS (I use a Shield TV, but it would work the same on a MiBox). It's a paid app, but there's a demo version as well (I bought the paid version and it's $ well spent).
In case you're looking to use airplay with your ShieldTV, this app seems to be working just fine, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=en
My wife uses it to airplay videos from her iPhone to the ShieldTV. And while the video airplays you maintain some level of video playback control using your ShieldTV remote.
I use AirPin Pro and it works for me.

If you also have an iPhone or MacBook, you can also turn your Moto Z and Projector Mod into an AirPlay receiver, like an Apple TV, just by using AirPin Pro. Works great on my Z2 Force.
This one has always worked well for me:

There's a free "Lite" version you can try first:

I've been using AirPlay/DLNA Reciever Pro: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2
It was easy to install and setup, and works completely as expected. Airplay works just as good Apple TV, if not better from both phones and computers. It also works as a DLNA receiver which makes other apps, like the default Samsung Gallery app, able to push content to it.
So because the airplay support comes from a third party app my experience has been good but not flawless. I used this app to gain airplay support which works fine for what I need, I have experienced occasional drop outs though.
HomeBridge offers a variety of community developed plugins that dramatically extend the compatibility of HomeKit. I'm a fan of Xiaomi products and so I use their lightbulbs around my home, I also use the Xiaomi gateway and switches to perform various functions. My TV can be controlled by Homebridge because it runs WebOS 3 (however I think there's a plugin for Samsung TVs too).
HomeKit is somewhat limited in some regions and HomeBridge can't fix that, there's still no smart doorbell support and a lot of the HomeBridge buttons are kinda hacky workarounds (my TV volume pretends to be a light bulb etc.). Have a look on NPM for the most popular packages to see what support is like, it's pretty good but I wouldn't say it's as good as Alexa/Google Assistant.
I use Spotify, but for local content prefer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=ru and TuneBlade as windows client, U can found full version of AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (PRO) on minixforum.com
Try using Airpin. I have it on my ShieldTv for when my wife wants to airplay something from her iPhone, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=en
Like all other casting technologies, its not perfect and has its hiccups, but when it works, it works.
Pas testé mais il existe des applications pour Android TV compatibles Airplay.
Celle-ci est relativement bien notée par exemple:

I personally use AirPin and I'd say it's ok. But tbh I actually don't find it that useful as most of the popular apps nowadays in iOS support Chromecast.
And whether it can be supported natively simply comes down to the competition between Android TV and Apple TV. Even if Google is willing to build it into Android, I don't think Apple would be happy about that.
You can just look in the play store for an airplay app. The one I use is linked here and the dev will give you a full refund if it doesn't work:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=en
This app works great for me it's worth the money and is compatible with iOS 11. If it doesn't work the dev should give a refund as stated in the description
I use this on the shield. It starts automatically when turning the shield on and it stays on in the background. Works like a charm. Although screen sharing from springboard on ios devices does not work. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=sv
Yeah there aren't any iOS JB Tweaks that can let you mirror your iOS device to a chrome cast. There are apps for AndroidTV based boxes/sticks that will let your iOS device connect via an AirPlay server hosted on the box/stick. I tried
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=en
And it worked sometimes, definetly not at par with the native AirPlay I use on my ATV4. It was the best one I could find when I was testing and I tried over 10 apps. If you have a fire stick..etc, this is an option to mirror if you can get it to work properly.
> I always naively assumed this was a cheap AirPlay knockoff.
/u/Imronburgundy83 , why not sell / part-exchange the Apple TV 4 for an NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV and install the 'AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (PRO)' ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2 ) to provide native Android TV apps, Google Cast Receiver from Android and iOS and a software AirPlay receiver from iOS "Updated 6 March 2016" "Current Version 3.1.7"? Are there any apps you use that are exclusively available on tvOS?
Yeah the app is AirPin Pro. I have no clue what it's doing behind the scenes but it could also be something on the ShieldTV as well.
Well, I never got this to work with MusicBee, but I got it to work with Windows’ Play To feature and with MediaMonkey!
Notes for future people who find this via a search:
I installed AirPin in an only phone, set MediaMonkey’s meda player to DLNA Renderer, and then in a drop down box below that setting I was able to choose the AirPin server on my phone.
AirPin is available for the Kindle Fire, since I don’t use my Kindle, I’ll set this up on there.
Also, this didn’t work on my laptop because network discovery was off. Make sure Network discovery is on if you want this to work.
AirPin Pro to use the Shield as an AirPlay server.
Incorrect, I AirPlay video to my AndroidTV by way of AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (PRO) all the time.
I think you might be happier getting this app on your Android TV
Install this app and then you can AirPlay it over from your iPhone. Works well, in my experience.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2
I use this on Nvidia Shield for Android TV and it works great: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2
I use AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (PRO) (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2). It's not free, but it's cheap enough that I gave it a shot. It's worked very well for me.
Probably AirPin Lite or Pro.I've not tried it on the Quest, but it works well with your standard Android devices.
Are you looking for an AirPlay receiver?
Try the Xiaomi Mi Box S for $39, then buy WaxRain AirPin Pro from Google Play for like $4.99. Instant AirPlay Receiver.

This app allows Android to send audio and video (via AirPlay) to an AppleTV, if that's what you mean.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2
Alot of AirPlay apps lack ios9 support. I know of only one that supports ios9.
AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (PRO) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=en
you can try downloading kodi to your tv. it has airplay which works well, and mirroring which works like dog shit.
like the others have said though, if mirroring is really vital to you, there's not much way around buying an apple tv.
if you can rethink how you stream content to your tv, either using chromecast enabled apps like youtube, or just using your computer with chrome, then you might be able to avoid.
otherwise, your best bet is either an apple tv, or an android phone new enough that it is capable of casting (i think started around android 5 or so).
i don't know a lick of programming, but it seems like airplay/mirroring is a tightly proprietary technology and it's hard to make it work unlicensed by apple because you have to get around restrictions pinging constantly whether it's genuine or not
edit: also, look into kodi, cos it's a fantastic program. there are plugins for just about anything you can imagine, even facebook. if i had a smart tv, i'd just want to use the remote instead of using my fone
edit 2: i forgot, there are android apps that can act as airplay servers, you could try them out before buying any other hardware. airplay/dlna receiver (pro) sort of works from my testing years ago. reflector 2 is another but i have not tried yet
