Maybe the Jura was a display item, if you have the receipt you could get your bottle back.
There is an android and apple app for your phone.

or

You can download the fire TV app on your phone and use your smart phone as your remote. Only works if your fire TV stick and phone are connected to the same wifi and you can also log into your Amazon account on the app on your phone to find your fire TV faster. Must be the same account as what's on the fire TV. Hope this helps.

Amazon fire tv remote control Android app
Google put that dang share button in the middle? not the top, bottom, or long press. bah!
if you can't find it in play, maybe it's not compatible with your phone? [but I've got a pretty old phone already..]
Download the App. iPhone and Android.

Did you try the remote app? It's out on Android and iOS.

Okay, this took a few readings to figure out, but I think I've got it now.
> If you have a game controller connected to the Fire TV, but the Fire TV remote isn't being detected, launch remote discovery (Settings > Controllers and Bluetooth Devices > Amazon Fire TV Remotes > Add New Remote). Then remove the battery from the game controller and hold the Home button on the remote. Once the remote has been detected, put the battery back into the game controller and pair your remote.
> Sometimes you need to do this more than once before it'll work.
As a side note, this also works if you're having trouble getting third-party controllers paired, and it's much easier to do if you install the Fire TV remote app (Google Play, Amazon Appstore) and only use it to control the Fire TV.
Download Amazon Fire TV https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
It allows you to control from your phone, but you device must be discoverable/same wifi network.
You could try it, it allows you to control it via your mobile phone, as its got a remote function..
(Simple remote) https://play-lh.googleusercontent.com/fShwkGKAJ8jqNfCV7TImPZ-LF9L4DG_wI5xzbm6AFffBQymBmLCNIm-dzXnuCXywxiUs=w5120-h2880-rw
But since you don't have a remote and WIFI is not setup, i don't favour your chances..
You can cast to a firetv even without kodi and there is a fire remote app with which you can control the stick from your phone or tablet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
My plan is to disconnect bluetooth when not being used and enable bluetooth when being used. Even if it doesn't get enabled for some reason, there is an Amazon Fire TV which allows for control without bluetooth. I can use this temporarily to enable bluetooth.

Ho this your welcome
edit: sorry, I keep forgetting that you're talking about a jailbroken Firebox. That would mean that you don't have an account with Fire TV, right? So their app will be useless to you
If you have a Android mobile, install this app.... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
Now find out your Fire TV IP address from your router and connect the app to the Fire TV. There is a good chance that the Fire Tv is running but only the Logo is showing. You then can use the buttons on the app to get to the settings menu and do a factory reset on the Fire TV.
I have had to do this procedure several times while mucking about setting up a third party launcher.
Yes.
Search for "Fire TV" on the playstore. There is an official app and there are alternatives.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp&hl=en_US&gl=US
The new version supports two modes. I recommend the simple remote mode for the same controls you see on the remote.
Once again comes down to your device Both Nvidia shield and firestick both have apps in the stores that you can connect your phone to your device if both on same network and then they have a pop up keyboard to type with
I have Android so these are the apps
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nvidia.shield.remote
I am unsure about apples app store though as I don't have apple products
That's the behavior I got with some of the generic remote apps. Can you confirm this is definitely the one you have installed?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
No, it just had various tools but no remote control ability. For a remote you can use the official Amazon app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
Have you tried using the FireTV Android/iOS app as a remote?
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/amazon-fire-tv/id947984433?mt=8
It can connect to your FireTV from the same wifi network and you can then use it to remove and reconnect the original/another remote.
I've done this a couple of times when I couldn't get the remote to connect after the batteries ran flat.
I don't know whether the remote is covered in warranty or not, but you can install the Fire TV App on Google Play Store and use your phone as an alternative remote. The pairing is straightforward and it also has lots of features compared to normal remote.
There are multiple ways to select media. One is to use their echo dot--they can tell it what show they want to play and it will start it on the FireTV. Another is that for any app installed on both the phone and the FireTV and that has casting abilities built-in (Netflix is one of these), you can cast to the FireTV from the phone--in other words, it can behave just like a Chromecast if you're using an app installed on both devices. Another way is to use your phone as the remote using the FireTV app.
The easiest, cheapest solution to replaced the damaged remote, is to put an app on your phone or tablet that controls the FireStick.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
There's an Android app that you can use as long as both are on the same WiFi. Although you likely will need a remote for initial setup as I don't know how else you would connect it
I'm super glad you like it! Thanks for the feedback.
On the firestick- not possible to run the server as it runs android under the hood.
Amazon does happen to have an official Android app for controlling it you could give a try though:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
I've had this problem and it took me awhile to solve my problem. I realized that it was the batteries in the remote (which is weird since they were new at the time) You can try this if you don't have batteries around.
LOL, you can download the Remote Control App (Android version)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp&hl=en
I use it when I'm lazy to find my remote.
Just wanted to mention I have a similar issue. Two FTV's and one remote went bad, the other one works once in a while. Battery replacement doesn't help and as far as I can tell, you can not buy a replacement remote. Is that true?
I have started using the Android app on my phone as the remote for now. I'm not sure if everyone knows that's out there: The remote application for your phone may be found here.
And for the majority of phone's out there: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp&hl=en_US and from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Fire-TV-Remote-App/dp/B00ODIASKC
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
For the busy people that don't have time to search
I use the Amazon Fire TV Remote App to type on my Fire Stick.
here is a virtual keyboard/remote from the PC app - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2736774
or get the iOS app - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/amazon-fire-tv-remote/id947984433?mt=8
or the android app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp&hl=en
Not exactly what you're after but, there's a mobile app you can use as a replacement for the remote:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/amazon-fire-tv/id947984433

Might help?
Nope, Fire Remote
Amazon TVremote app App
Are you talkin about the Fire TV remote app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
Because it works just fine on my Galaxy S8..
The is a fire TV app you can put on your phone to control it.
Try Downloading This App From Google Play Store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
For those who use Amazon Fire TV
This is a fantastic remote
Get the Fire TV Remote App and try connecting the Stick Remote from the Cube.
Try the fire tv remote android app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp Pretty sure there is an iOS version too
There's an Android App that will let you control the FireTV stick.
Windows 11 will let you run Android apps. Since you probably don't want to wait until the end of the year, if you have a Samsung phone, you can control that from Windows 10 using Your Phone.
More detailed in instructions: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/you-can-run-android-apps-on-windows-10-before-windows-11-arrives-heres-how/
If you don't have a Samsung phone, there are a number of emulators that will let you run Android apps on Windows.
Finally, an Echo will let you control a lot of the basic functions.
By process of elimination I'd try the following. It sounds like it may be a remote problem. Try this first:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GMDKZSFRSX7NKKN3
If that doesn't work try the following:
1: Reset the entire Unit.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GVPTVP6XXK7YKCHF
2: Download the fire TV app for whatever platform your phone is on, iOS or Android, and install it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp&hl=en_US&gl=US
3: Remove batteries from your current remote (It will stop any errant signals)
4: Control your fire TV using the app you downloaded
If the problem stops it's definitely your remote.
It worked for me.
Thanks.
MB
It should detect it pretty easily, then just press home once you're connected to it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
There's the official Fire TV app for Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp) that can also act as a keyboard for the Fire TV
Which remote app are you trying? You should not need ADB for the stock app here. When you install it and run it, it will find your fire stick and then you can use a PIN to authorize it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp&hl=en_IN
You obviously cannot use any other bluetooth device since you can't get into settings to pair. You still have the OTG option but if you are going to spend $ on that, why not a new remote?
Here's more
For Fire Stick you can use Amazon Fire TV .
You can use the fire TV remote app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp it's also available for iOS and fire os

There's an app for that. It's much better as it has a keyboard function. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
With a fire stick you can... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.storm.lightning.client.aosp
2nd using the firetv remote app on

https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Fire-TV-Remote-App/dp/B00ODIASKC
remember with the firetv remote app tap the entry for username or password, don't bring up the keyboard first, when you tap it, it should pop the keyboard AND THEN PASTE WILL WORK. :)
I find myself using this android app most of the time.
while this will not help you fix the actual remote - are you able to use the smartphone app to control your firetv?
