If you get this
Monoprice HDMI Coupler (Female to Female) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001OFJZDI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qF1jDbZ58EFH3
And put it on the end of the FireStick you can plug the hdmi cable directly into the stick.
Drill a hole into the freezer and run the hdmi cable from the TV to the freezer.
You'll be finishing episodes of "60 Minutes" in 60 Seconds.
A vpn will also allow you to watch content that's normally restricted in your country. It's not relevant to everyone but still a nice extra feature with all the other stuff. I use Nordvpn instead of IPVanish and though I do get a slight reduction in speed it's not as significant as in your case so maybe you could try switching providers.
You can easily do this by using an app called "Launch on boot":
You can get that from here
I have tested that to auto launch Kodi , every time I turn on my firestick
You might want to try a DNS-based ad-blocker for you whole home, such as Pi-Hole: https://pi-hole.net/
Or, if you have a supported device, you can install an ad-blocker on your router by using OpenWRT or LEDE for example. https://openwrt.org/packages/pkgdata/adblock
About other VPN providers, have tried ExpressVPN, which does indeed have a very easy-to-use Amazon app.
It worked quite well, but sometimes gets blocked by streaming services. Also it's one of the more expensive VPNs.
So I thought I would give NordVPN a try as it's much cheaper, people seem to say it works and it also offers the possibility of subscribing to a static/dedicated IP, which I might need for work.
Use apkupdater (disable the Aptoide option in settings) and you're golden..
>APKUpdater is an open source tool that simplifies the process of finding updates for your installed apps. It provides similar functionality to an app store, but instead of depending on a single source, it aggregates the results from APKMirror, Aptoide, F-Droid and Google Play.
Also an amazing app to use on your phone.. which is kind of its intended purpose but works great on FireOS also :)
This app is awesome. I use it over
If you are looking for a good android touch friendly app for youtube, i love youtube vanced: https://vancedapp.com/
But for OP, this is the app you want for your needs (SmartYouTubeNext), it is like the netflix of youtube apps.
The Piracy Box Sellers and Youtube Promoters Are Killing Kodi - https://kodi.tv/the-piracy-box-sellers-and-youtube-promoters-are-killing-kodi/
kodi isn't related to piracy. you provide your own content. r/addons4kodi is likely what your looking for.
fwiw, you can setup kodi on your pc and try it out. it's the same on firetvstick, just slightly slower in some menus.
you don't need root. unless you want to modify the firetv os itself. many people don't understand the term root itself. this doesn't stop them from making confusing videos.
go ahead and setup the stick. actual root only became available very recently, and requires the latest version anyway. whatever guide you saw is probably outdated, and not referring to the stick.
visit http://aftvnews.com for guides.
I bought these ... cheap protection if you drop the remote and it keeps the cover on too ... https://smile.amazon.com/Protective-Cover-FireTV-Stick-Remote/dp/B08KZZ23QY/ref=sr\_1\_2\_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=firestick+remote+cover&qid=1622314412&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE0WFhFODBWWVJETksmZW5jcnlw...
I got this for my dad. He loved his old Roku because of the aux jack as well, and was disappointed that the Firestick didn't have one.
They don't call it Pendant in the store. It's just called "Fire TV." Amazon has a terrible naming scheme.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N32NCPM/
The first gen Stick was just an oddball. Every other Fire TV is much, much faster. You can find the specs for all devices here:
https://developer.amazon.com/docs/fire-tv/device-specifications.html
1st gen Stick has a 1GHz dual core and the 2nd gen Stick has a 1.3GHz quad core.
I don't know anything about it, but apparently it's only for Canadian users? Here is a link to the app in Amazon Canada's app store:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0789RWQK1/
You'll probably have to use a VPN to make Amazon think you live in Canada if you don't.
There's also this option from mission cables if someone wants to ensure they're getting enough power from the USB port on their TV. Don't buy anything that looks like a regular cable though bc essentially that's all they are. This fireCable for example is just a waste of money. Nothing special about it that will give a fire TV stick extra power from a TV USB port.
You're right that NordVPN doesn't have an Amazon app, so when I asked their customer support they said they couldn't offer support.
But at the same time, they did acknowledge that their Android app can be sideloaded on to an Amazon app and they pointed me to links for setting up.
But that wasn't much help, as I had already managed to sideload it using the link below:
Google turns up a lot of people saying they are able to use NordVPN on Amazon devices, but haven't encountered any chatter about my particular issue.
So hoping someone here might have encountered it...
I don't think the NordVPN app works on the Firestick yet. They have tutorials on their website on how to set it up through your router or PC though:
Here's a recent list of VPNs to use with Fire TV: Some offer a free trial but none are free. I don't really know what most people use.
I'm 99.9% sure that I have the first generation model, b/c I installed Private Internet Access VPN on it, and it wouldn't mask my IP address. It would install, but it wouldn't function. This is a known issue w/ the first generation models. However, it functions on the second generation models, however.
Yes. I use OpenVPN for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.blinkt.openvpn that I sideloaded with adblink from http://jocala.com/ . Your VPN provider might require an different VPN application though, but mos also support openVPN protocol.
If the stick connects again after restart, I think it's a router issue.
If you have an Android use this and walk around your place to discover open channels:

I use ch. 1 & 40 but it all depends on your area

Amazon fire tv remote control Android app
Google put that dang share button in the middle? not the top, bottom, or long press. bah!
if you can't find it in play, maybe it's not compatible with your phone? [but I've got a pretty old phone already..]
I have it working with the v4.3.26 APK. It's quite a pain, I had to use this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2331514) to force the Dish Anywhere app to launch always in Landscape mode and that fixed some of the bugs, then I use Mouse Toggle (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fluxii.android.mousetoggleforfiretv&hl=en) to let me double-click the FTV play button and go into "mouse mode". Use on-screen pairing to pair with your Hopper, it's much easier than trying to log in with your Dish username/password.
Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll try to help but know that it DOES work!
edit : one thing I forgot to add, before you install the v4.3.26 force quit and clear all app data for the v3.x versions, then uninstall that APK. I found if there was anything left behind of v3.x then v4 would crash on start.
Just for future searches of this problem; also check your VPN, if it is running turn it off then go into Youtube and check it. I had to go into settings on my IPVanish and disable it for youtube so my search history would show up. Just another step that might work for someone. :)
I did not. I bought a remote online that was made for the of that was an ok solution.
They’ve updated it again - whether this one will be available with future gen fire sticks we will have to wait and find out but will be available to purchase separately by the end of the year - https://www.amazon.com/Introducing-alexa-voice-remote-pro/dp/B09RX4HKTD/ref=mp_s_a_1_4_sspa?crid=ZMWTG3IWHQON&keywords=fire+stick+remote&qid=1666118969&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjM3IiwicXNhIjoiNC43MyIsInFzcCI6IjQuMjgifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=fire+st...
Yep could be my own idiocy here. I remember reading about using ES explorer for this over wifi.
Found it here. It's a bit of a read but could help. This is about sideloading too.
Download and install this from the app store on your Firestick and you can use this program to turn all the apps open in the background running on your Firestick . You have to turn them off individually. All those apps bog down your Firestick and over heat it as well. Link is below.

A simple 4 port or 5 port Ethernet Switch will work just fine.
And here is a good streaming stick Ethernet adapter.
As the USB cable gets longer, you have to worry more about the voltage drop. The maximum specification length for USB2 is 16ft.
That's the recommendation though, 20ft is doable if you get a low gauge USB cable. Most USB cables are cheap and use high gauge wires (26-28awg, thin).
This cable has a 22awg powerline wire (thick) https://www.amazon.com/Ruaeoda-Micro-Android-Charger-Gold-Plated/dp/B092RTF25L/
Here's a voltage drop calculator to give you an idea https://www.elect-spec.com/voltage-drop-calculator.html
Even with a 22awg powerline at 20ft you are getting more of a drop that the stringent USB standard recommends, but the Stick will probably be fine.
I mean, at the risk of sounding a bit rude, the Apple TV does cost 4 times as much as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, so one should expect it to perform better. The Apple TV Remote costs more than the whole Fire TV Stick 4K Max, so maybe lower your expectations a little.
That said, being tucked up behind a TV and so close to a literal shield of metal is likely the biggest reason why the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is buffering more than the Apple TV. If you use an HDMI cable with a female-to-female adapter to get the Fire TV Stick far away from the TV, you'll probably get better performance, but it still likely won't match the Apple TV because of the price difference. Also, distance to the router isn't nearly as important as what is in between the device and the router. While the two streamers might be the same distance apart, I doubt there are the same number of walls and objects between them, so you really should be comparing them side by side.
Thanks for the update. Another suggestion is to manually force quit the Peacock app after each use, under Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Peacock > Force stop.
NordVPN and ExpressVPN are good VPNs for firestick. Both VPNs are working fine for me. But I will also recommend to check the best VPN for firestick.
ExpressVPN is one of the best vpn’s out there i used it for a Long time its simple and easy, and its safe. I Would highly recommend it. I have had No problems with it at all. Its super fast and Secure. You Can use it for Netflix or Gaming. Its your choice.
Check out the cheap prices and buy with this link for discount:
Try turning off notifications for the Peacock app. You can do that under Settings > Preferences > Notification Settings > App Notifications
Please let me know if that stops it from happening.
Wow, that's a weird one. Try turning off notifications for the Peacock app. You can do that under Settings > Preferences > Notification Settings > App Notifications
Please let me know if that stops it from happening.
The first option I gave him was to try other servers/VPNs.. I then gave him some more complicated solutions. I'm not going to dumb down my answers and assume everybody is a technophobe, nothing I said in my comment was false or wrong at all.
Instead of being so argumentative, why not just of said to OP, I'm using ExpressVPN and it isn't blocked, maybe try that.. instead of this pointless argument with me, claiming I'm wrong and flexing that you're an IT SPECIALIST. You have no idea of my IT background, just like I don't know yours or OPs.. there is nothing wrong with giving a simple solution to try followed by some more complicated solutions.

Your welcome. I included a link to the bookmarker app below. You can have up to 9 of them, all numbered.
So I have several of them right on my home screen when I turn on my Firestick. One click and I'm right there.
Cool I just ordered this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BDJN76M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00
I 2 spare 128GB USB 3.0 sticks. Can I use both? One as device storage and the other is an external drive?
If so is it possible to push files to the external drive on the firestick from a windows computer? Or would I have to use a x plore or a similar app to get them on the firestick external drive? Is there a better way of doing this?
I was thinking for the 3rd port using my cheap little trackpad+keyboard combo thingy.
They just happen to sell them in a pack of three.. I don’t know what you mean by stack them? You take the OTG cable plug that into the fire stick and then your plug the thumb drive into the OTG cable…. Now if you need more than one USB port then I suggest getting a USB hub like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0871ZHCKK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which also gives you the ability to hardwire your device to your router which I highly recommend…
This the setup that I use on my 4K Firestick Max..
OTG CABLE: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZF6KSTR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
THUMB DRIVE : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081QSHG13/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
On my 4k Firestick I use an OTG cable and 128GB Sandisk On my Cube I use a USB Hub and 256GB either setup allows me to have several seasons of shows. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B078MNW25Q?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07857Y17V?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I actually use OpenVPN on my Firestick. I have a Mullvad account and from there, you can download configurations for countries that you want your OpenVPN to terminate from. A little confusing at first, especially with the OpenVPN UI, but, once you get pass that, works great.
Sorry for taking so long to notice your reply. Did you ever manage to get your remote to pair? I thought of another, albeit temporary, solution: If you have a micro USB OTG adapter like either of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TX8FY6W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D6H7Y85?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Then you can plug in a USB keyboard and/or mouse, so get through your initial set up phase and pair your phone afterward. It's not ideal, but could help in a pinch.
Just Use a OTG CABLE with your cablemaster, but just so you know the OTG CABLE will max out at 450Mbps because of the 2.0 micro USB..
> I suppose you could connect them all to power strips and toggle the power strip on and off but it would be more trouble than it would be worth IMO.
They do make autoswitching master/master-controlled power strips such as the following, but u/Death_Strider16 would have to calculate how long it would take him to make the $7.26 strip cost back in saved electricity cost -- and, I believe such a strip is going to have its own level of standby power consumption, so, I don't know if it would be worth it for just an idling Fire TV Stick: https://www.amazon.com/Sunbeam-Advance-Outlet-Protector-Spaced/dp/B08LSXXG7R/
Yes it’s possible, but you’ll just need to get a OTG cable like this one:
3 Pack OTG Cable Replacement for Fire Stick 4K, Compatible Samsung, Replacement for Amazon Fire TV, Compatible with LG Android Phone Tablet Micro USB Host with Micro USB Power https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DQVKGZ5
And hook up a keyboard or mouse to it. You can even add usb storage later on.
Waiting for your friend to get the remote might be quicker.
I have the prior gen of this and it's great for typing. I can't figure out the select button (enter doesn't work) so I still need the normal remote for that. Maybe they updated it on this gen. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08H4K3VB1/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?pd_rd_i=B08H4K3VB1&pd_rd_w=6nw0m&pf_rd_p=33c4e3fc-b90b-44ce-8b60-9caf530f918e&pd_rd_wg=Bu9bB&pf_rd_r=24ZJX9S1H00P467DEGWY&pd_rd_r=aca8d9d7-8fae-4101-babd-3a772a1817eb&am...
$5 ones like these should work completely fine too
Any cheap m.2 nvme heatsink would work because they are around 23mm in width and less than 100mm in length.
One I got is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MV44567?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I got this one because it is a solid copper
I just want to say I'm so glad I blocked Amazon OTA updates after reading your post. I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm still running the last viable FireOS version prior to the custom launcher disable update. Everything just works, especially my ethernet adapters.
BTW, it's more helpful to talk about your ethernet adapter chipset/model rather than the brand. Are you talking about this one? If so, I see no issues with the hardware that should affect compatibility. You might need to do a hard reset on your device.
No they don’t have a SD card slot.. if you want to use a SD card or thumb drive all you need to do is buy a OTG cable..
OTG CABLE: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZF6KSTR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
for 9Now and a few other good apps that I've tested on my Firestick go here -
Go to 'Find' on Firestick, then type 'Downloader' (if you haven't got it already), type that url in and theres a whole page of useful stuff. You'll need a decent VPN for Aus (or any foreigner TVonDemand apps) I've used ProtonVPN but just switched to SurfShark as its cheaper and slightly quicker (personal recommendation) but any will do.

Hope that helps anyone else looking

Something like this is what you want:
eSynic Digital to Analog Converter 192kHz DAC Converter with Volume Control Digital Optical Coaxial Toslink to Analog Stereo L/R RCA 3.5mm Audio Adapter for DVD Blu-ray PS3 PS4 AV Amps Cinema Systems https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B073PYN7L5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_8K0KKZS2W62XAB5F78TJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Use the digital out on the TV; disable the speakers.
It is called split tunneling, the Nord site has instructions on how to use it. Here is the link on Nord to setting up on a Firestick:
?msclkid=b8945b55b6bc11ec84872a8ec5fe854f
You need to get a OTG cable.. After you you get your OTG cable there are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to format it..
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZF6KSTR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Use an OTG adapter cable into the Firestick's micro-usb port, such as the one below, and plug a USB thumb drive into it. VLC will be able to play files on the thumb drive.
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Amazon-Android-Tablet/dp/B083KJ1B5H
Yeah, why Amazon made their USB network adapter 100Mb only I'm not sure, but it's probably due to the Firesticks and Firecubes only having USB2 ports (again why??).
I have a couple of the Firesticks and I'm using hardwired connections for both and we are using USB3 to Ethernet adapters, which are able to fully use the 480Mb USB2 bandwidth.
This is the model adapter we are using: amazon.com/gp/product/B07N2ZHFY9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
NordVPN is a great choice here. I chose it because it fit my budget, it has lots of servers in every country, and a bunch of people on other reddit subs recommended it. Def not disappointed, I'm very happy with it
Since you did not read my post fully before answering it, you would have noticed that I was *also* asking how was the firestick being powered.
If you *just* use the USB-A to micro-usb converter, then I didn't know if power would be sent out that converter from the hub itself if you used a barrel power adapter.
Or were you using something like the below OTG spliter which could power both the micro-usb connector (which would power the firestick) and the USB-A connector would power the hub.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083KJ1B5H
I didn't know which way would work, so I was trying to ask you for help and didn't deserve your condescending reply.
Another option would be to purchase something like this.
Even if you're TV had 3 HDMI inputs, you'd still have manually switch the source every time. There is no way for the TV to automatically know when you want to watch which source.
That sai, check this out. It has a remote as well as automatic switching when only one source is active:
https://www.amazon.com/NerdEthos-Switcher-Selector-Control-Supports/dp/B08LVF2S1M/
Heya, sadly because they live far and because of covid restrictions I didn't get to see them again at their place, but something similar happened to me with one of my stick and I kinda fixed it in a weird way.
I have 1000 up and 1000 down internet so I know that my speed isn't an issue, a firestick should give me at least 90 mbps on a 2.4 signal.
I was trying to watch something 4k on plex and that 4k content was very heavy like 35mbps kind of heavy, pretty much no compression.
The thing was skipping a lot... I did a speedtest and weirdly it could only get 20 mbps.
So a few research later I tried this :
downloaded "wifi analyzer" on my phone and ran some test to see which frequency was the most used.
I then went into my router into wifi settings, manage wifi/advanced.
And changed the 2.4 Channel for something else. that had "less traffic" according to the app.
Suddenly went back to 100mbps on a speedtest for the firestick.
I tried to explain that to my in-laws but they're not very tech savvy and I believe they couldn't find their router password... so I figured i'd try it for them at a later date.
Hope that helps.
Open up the Silk browser and type in the following:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/
Find the apk you want and download it. Once it's downloaded you can go to the download app to install it.
Check out https://www.justwatch.com/us/provider/amazon-prime-video
Looking at the website, do you see that little symbol next to "Tv Shows" — underneath the tiled services? Click it, scroll through the list, and enable "Subscription" in the filter. You can further set genre, year/decade, resolution, IMDB rating, etc.
They have an app available on Android that I'm sure makes this all the much easier. You can use this for all services; you can also watchlist movies/shows on here, and they'll forever be in your watchlist — they won't disappear from your watchlist if it's removed from the service, like HBO does.
I never scroll through services anymore. I find what I want to watch on the app (well, I actually use Letterboxd, but you shouldn't use Letterboxd unless you want to pay for this service), and then just search for what I pick on the actual service app itself. Much more convenient, faster, more info, better filters, etc. Trust me, you won't look back once you get in the groove of using your phone to find stuff to watch.
It's not illegal per say but to protect your internet from becoming suspended or terminated after watching a certain stream, you should look into a VPN. I use Windscribe $10/monthly unlimited data unlimited devices to add. Use it on my firestick and shield they have apps.
Great. If even after trying different IR Profiles, you are not able to get volume buttons working then you can use this app to get your work done. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ML2GCMD
For power button I don't have any solution yet.
I’m using this instead of the Amazon adapter with a stick 4K Max. No issues. Cable Matters Micro USB to Ethernet Adapter…
You definitely don’t want to use the Amazon brand ethernet adapter they are junk.. I just use a OTG Cable with this hub..

NordVPN not only a single VPN provider which facilitates services for the Fire Stick, but there are several other VPN services available on internet. However, it is still a good choice. It has an impressive network of over 5,100 servers in 60 countries, so you'll be able to access geoblocked content from all over the world through your Fire Stick. But I will still suggest you must compare the best VPNs for firestick.
I'm trying to remember how I did it all. There's an app (I've uninstalled it) that has everything google play has. I think it's Aptoid. I might have gotten it there.
Or, from here: https://en.uptodown.com/android/search. It's been awhile ago and I tried more than one weather widget before finding one like the one I have on my phone and tablet.
If I got it from uptodown.com I would have downloaded the apk and used team viewer's file explorer to drag and drop it into FireStick. I used it to sideload my apks.
You can install launch on boot from here: https://apkpure.com/launch-on-boot/news.androidtv.launchonboot
Open that and then select which app you want to start on bootup. I have tested this with Kodi selected and it auto starts when I reboot my 4K firestick.
To add images to a main/new post, you can just drag an image into the text area. You can't do it with comments, but you can use a site like https://imgbb.com/ to upload one, then post the link.
Because Google and Amazon can't play nice, YouTube wasn't even on the Stick for a very long time. I'm not at all surprised that it's not integrated into Amazon's search.
Honestly, YouTube's searching is so horrible that I'm kinda glad it's not there. I can't even imagine how many trailer reaction clips I'd get instead of the movie.
https://www.justwatch.com/ seems to be the best universal search engine right now, and they do have an app.
There is always PiHole. A small little device you put in your network that blocks ads / trackers for the whole network. It's been forever since I last saw an ad on YouTube (Or any site really).
Lol companies really use bots like that? Lol one day it's going to be bad with bots that it changes the way we look at the internet. Lol. I use a few vpns for different situations. Nordvpn, mullvad, and built wireguard server and open vpn server. Tbh I want to branch off and use another VPN provider other than nord just to switch it up but nord always works best for me and fastest out of all the ones I have tried yet. I been using nord for many years now and I want more features. Mullvad has the features I want but the performance is a hit or miss 😭😭
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08C1W5N87/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This was my order. I hope that is helpful. I haven't used the memory storage much and I have barely used it tbh, but every now and then when I try to watch TV, it gives me that problem. I will try to reset it next and see if that will help. Thank you.
You have to try out a lot of different names in the list and if those doesn't work or you don't want to go that way, then you can use this app for controlling volume if you have Fire TV OS 7 in your Fire Device.

Trial and Error is the only way, search for IR codes and try out them.
For controlling volume, I have developed an app but currently devices with Fire TV OS 7 are only supported, Im working on it to make it work on other devices, it might take few more days.
If you have Fire OS 7 in your device then check this out: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ML2GCMD/
The power button and volume buttons are operated over IR. So if you don't have it on your monitor you can't turn on the monitor using that remote. For volume I developed an app, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ML2GCMD Currently gen 2 is not supported but I'm very close to get it working on gen 2 may be it would be ready in a day or two
Yes, but power button won't turn on your monitor and volume buttons may work with Bluetooth speakers out of the box. But if volume buttons don't work then you can use an app to make them work, it's available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ML2GCMD
Firestick's remote is a Bluetooth device and the IR sensor is only used in Power and Volume Buttons. Rest of the buttons like up, down, left, Play pause etc. they work over bluetooth and would definitely work with monitor, I have tested it.
I've used NordVPN without issue on a Firestick 4K. I usually turn it on and off as needed. Nord does let you exclude apps like Netflix, Hulu, etc and in theory you could run it all the time with certain apps excluded.
This would do the work, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ML2GCMD
But there are some issues in devices with Fire OS 5 or 6 So if you have Fire OS 7 or greater this app should work without any issues
It makes a huge difference I’ve tried to 2.0‘s and had problems with loading went to the 3.0 and made all the difference in the world… now I have tried several different brands of 3.0 thumb drives and I found that the 3.0 SanDisk new generation thumb drive works the best..
Here is the one that I use.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081QSHG13/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Why would you need to load the Ring app onto your Cube? I didn't. Just link the devices in your Amazon Alexa app, that's the way I did it. I'm using a Fire Cube with IPVanish VPN, but again the VPN has nothing to do with it.
So all I have to do is say "show front door", and the Ring camera pops up right away on the TV.
I can also ask to show the Smart Home Dashboard on my TV and all my devices pop up there - Ring, Blink, Govee, etc.
just searched prime video android tv, here is one result (you may want to send the APK through virustotal.com just to be safe) https://apkpure.com/prime-video-android-tv/com.amazon.amazonvideo.livingroom
Well, that worked PERFECTLY! You are my new HERO! Thank you. To reiterate for other people. Erase your NBC Sports App. Go to Downloader. Put in the following URL: https://apkpure.com/nbc-sports/com.nbcsports.apps.tv/variant/1.0-APK. Go down to the bottom and select 2019-03-20 Variant. I had to hit "click here" if it doesn't download to make it download. I also had to open it at the end to finish saving it otherwise it will try to download the newest version. Good luck and again a HUGE THANKS to digitalsublimation!
EDIT: Well, I still have an issue. When I open the app just after installing it, it's fine, but if I try to open it from my Home page it gives me the error. Darn!
Hey,
just checking in since I'm running into similar issues. Did you find a solution? I get the same error screen with 3.7.4. Currently I'm using 2.2.8b on my stick and everything works except the search. https://apkpure.com/rakuten-tv-movies-tv-series/tv.wuaki.apptv
I found more versions on this website but they are untested and self-hosted so not sure whether it's safe or not: https://aftvhacks.de/fire-tv-downloads/ (best to do a Ctrl+F and search for Rakuten)
great set-up but only 1 thing I would change - I would use https://www.amazon.com/Ethernet-Adapter-Compatible-Chromecast-Internet/dp/B078MNW25Q/ref=sr\_1\_5?keywords=fire+stick+otg+cable+usb+3.0+and+ethernet&qid=1638460530&sr=8-5
Potential solution:
The app doesnt work for download on that site for some reason:
OOPS!, ⊙︿⊙ Sorry, download failed, the APK does not support our device. https://apkpure.com/error?e=LimitedDevice&p=com.viki.googletv
Download Bluestacks Android emulator www.bluestacks.com . Download a browser on it and use it to go to www.amazon.com/getappstore Install, sign in and you should be able to access your Amazon stuff through it on your PC.
Thank you so much for looking! I made a few screen shots here to show exactly where I'm going. I am not even sure who to contact for customer support - as I am an Amazon.de customer but my german skills are not fantastic.
