Lightning works at USB 2.0 speeds and it is based on USB.
Lightning is just a proprietary thing that mostly gives Apple a way to squeeze money out other hardware vendors who want to integrate with the iPhone.
It's an abomination in terms of consumer value is what it is. Guy Kawasaki, Apple's previous tech evangelist, called it pure arrogance.
Honestly, I know it's kind of esoteric if you're not in an academic field, but learning how to use LaTex for documents is really great. It's so much easier to maintain longer documents than word, and after some practice documents look way better with less effort.
I am hesitant to do this because it wouldn't protect me from someone snatching my phone within 15 minutes of me using it and having access. Currently looking at the Unlock with Wifi app so I can avoid entering in my code when at home or work, which is when I am most annoyed at having to do so (unless I can find a free way to do the same thing)
I got something similar for the Switch to use in bed after we had our first kid. I definitely got my money's worth out of it.
No you dont you can buy a bidet of ebay or Amazon for cheap since youve been to Japan Im sure you can afford this <strong>https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Elongated-Stainless-Steel-Nightlight-Oscillation/dp/B074MLZR3Y/ref=sr_1_21_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1537410589&sr=8-21-spons&keywords=bidet&psc=1</strong>
Let me help you with a first-world solution:
> The Ember Mug uses seven temperature sensors, a rapid cooling system, a microprocessor-controlled heating system, temperature settings and presets to control the exact temperature of your drink.
Yeah, well, it was then taken by @firstworldpains yesterday and then re-appropriated here...again.
Reminds me of a joke my dad told me, that was in an old issue of Boys' Life (April 1935):
To be fair, my dad wasn't even alive in 1935 - so he likely read that joke when the joke itself was resubmitted to Boys' Life as part of the above cycle...he definitely never mentioned vaudeville...
They talk about it in this article, although this one seems to indicate that this will be the last season (season 8):
The MCAT is computer based, so I suggest buying the actual CBTs that are sold by AAMC/TBR. Or if you have the PDF versions (as part of a Kaplan course, of course), use this free PDF reader to actually circle and highlight passages.
(from a fellow MCAT studier)
$60 ITUNES GIFT CARD, Buy it Now for $70.40 This is a good deal.
Netscape Navigator is even less resource intensive. It was branched into Mozilla Suite then SeaMonkey, but it is still maintained and works with all of the latest web standards.
I don't know how many times that happened to me. But now (in the voice of an overenthusiastic ad person) I use ClipX! It's minimalistic and functional and it remembers fucking everything. It was a crutch; now it's a whole new limb.
It's been a while since it was updated, but the current beta runs perfect on Win7 x64.
The good news is you can now get authentic Japanese A5 Wagyu from Costco for only $1200!
It'll be just like the steak you had in Japan and for just slightly less than the price of a plane ticket.
The uTorrent versions after 2.x are all kinda bloaty and awful, and go against the entire point of what made people love uTorrent (it was super lean and simple, back when your other main choice was the ultra-bloated, ultra-ugly Azureus/Vuze).
I always recommend Deluge to people now.
> Forte is spelt forte and pronounced fort.
No, really, it's not. It can be, but it is not incorrect to pronounce it "for-tay"
But, you know what? This isn't my argument to make, because it's not something I need to argue. The Oxford English Dictionary, Merriam-Webster and every other dictionary will tell you the same thing.
Mediafire pretty much has everything. Just google "site:mediafire.com [x]" and it'll come up with "[x]".
Almost had it, I tell you hwat.
It only appeared to be down. They were switching to movies.netflix.com

Netflix Ratings Granulizer. Also available as a greasemonkey script. Netflix actually has support for half-star ratings, but never rolled it out on their web interface for all users to apply them. Using this you can set them.

Bluedio. I'd recommend using "BatON" for Android phones who do not have a built-in Bluetooth device battery gauge. It gives you a basic toast telling you the percentage and so for it's been very useful

You gotta drink around 1.5-2 liters a day in order to satisfy daily requirements.
If you drink 2 liters of Cola, that's 30% of your daily recommended calorie intake [source] - This roughly corresponds to one meal.
After the first two weeks, soda and juice are going to taste much too sweet to you, too :-)
You don't need to cut them out completely, just think of them in terms of what they actually are: sweets.
I used to feel the same way. But now I know that "stick up butt and hard to get along with" is another word for "disciplined hard-ass". It's ok to be a hard ass professionally as long as you're fair and know when to admit you're wrong. Success in a competitive business does take discipline and it takes high standards.
The problem with everyone being "easy to get along with" is it soon just becomes sloppiness.
Ever heard of the Van Halen brown M&Ms story?? Dressing well is like the brown M&Ms.
Mission control is your friend. Having two monitors seems limiting compared to the 14 virtual desktops I'm using right now.
Are you sure this isn't just the "Soap opera effect" that some TV's will have, try finding a setting to turn off motion interpolation and that may well solve it.

reFIT is a boot menu that could help you. It times out after X seconds and defaults to OS X, so if you set it to 3 seconds (it's a textedit change) you have ample time to boot Windows instead. All other times it just adds 3 seconds to OS X's boot time.
I find that MP3Gain is more accurate than Soundcheck, I find soundcheck has a tendency to play quiet songs louder than loud songs. It uses Replay Gain.
MediaMonkey is not only a better all around music player, but also has a script that will literally check all cases of any tracks you select. Are they wrong? Like one click to fix an entire CD. Bam.
Pandora's is algorithmically-powered, which Grooveshark lacks. I like discovering new music based on shared traits and the only thing online which tracks traits (as opposed to genres) is Pandora's Music Genome Project.
On top of that, Pandora has a metric tonne of emerging artists and obscure recordings while everything on Grooveshark is user-uploaded, meaning that you may get a handful of popular recordings but lack the bulk of an artist's discography (or in some cases any examples of that artist).
Take a look at LastPass - you may like it. I have been using it instead of KeePass ever since Leo Laporte & Steve Gibson recommended it on Security Now.
If you have a lot of logins/passwords may I recommend LastPass. I like their auto-login feature and has really come in handy if you can trust having a site with a lot of your passwords (I can assure you Lastpass is on top of their shit).
Hey, it's just good security policy.
That said, what you should do is this:
Get keepass
Make a new Database and throw it somewhere you will always have access to, like Dropbox (it's highly encrypted using AES and Twofish so you should never have to worry about it ever being broken)
Make a password for the database that is long, but easy to memorize like a poem or monologue. Your favorite scene from your favorite show? Memorize the lines! That's your Database password and you will never forget it. For bonus points, throw in punctuation and "l33tify" the text (make E=3, S=$, etc.)
Autogenerate your passwords for work, have them expire at the same rate.
It'll be more secure than they want, you'll never have to worry about forgetting anything, and more importantly, you'll never lose it!
really?! I get to be the first to comment? :D

They make adaptors. I just got one and it was life changing. My kids would rip of little pieces of TP because it wouldn’t spin... not anymore TP Large Roll Extender.
I'm not involved with that app in any way. I just don't like to see people living in terrible first-world conditions
I'm running f.lux on my android as we speak. It's a very good brightness manager.
Edit, I now realize the app is actually just called Lux but seems to do the exact thing that f.lux does https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vito.lux
.flac provides no noticeable difference to hearing quality. According to Gizmodo's testing, bitrates over 218 kbps provide little to no discernible improvement in quality.
.flac is meant for archival copies. It is far from useless, and I would encourage people who wish to build up a library of digital music to do so in .flac files. However, even with proper supporting hardware an mp3 is fine for listening.
use google chrome use this extension you put your mouse over links/pics, it shows the pic move your mouse, pic goes away
This is on Windows 8. The new task manager is one of the welcome improvements. You should check out Process Explorer though, it's pretty awesome.
Evidently, that is Jim Vest. I've got to imagine if a guy named Vest was wearing one, it would be OP's ultimate fantasy.
I completely understand. And you're right, maybe not the best kind of vacation for a family with small children. I'd like to suggest looking into Puerto Vallarta if you haven't been there. Excellent place for relaxation, not so crowded, a bit more mature and sophisticated than Cancun's general scene and still has a beautiful oceanfront. You might want to take a look here and I'm sure there's plenty of information around to better decide on your vacation.

Same here; I was endlessly entertained looking at the "value" vs. cost on <$100k items...

Got the idea from people on instructables
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/get-rid-windows-10-upgrade-notification-windows-7-8/
scroll down to the section that says "How to Hide the Windows 10 Upgrade Notification". Once in the notification settings window, I had to uncheck the "Always show all icons..." box at the bottom temporarily to get to the dropdown in the instructions. I rechecked it and the setting stuck.
That is why us true first-worlders are forced to use flushable wipes where bidets are unavailable. Thankfully many come with small carry cases for away from home. Anything less would be third world!

Best buy is no longer shipping them back, in fact they are fireselling in the morning... Just ordered a 32gb for instore pickup, if the price doesn't drop I won't buy it and tell them to cancel the order :)
you may also have to spend upwards of 1000 dollars on a new one
If you have Winamp, install Chords which is a plugin that analyzes the mp3 and then works out the chords for you. It scrolls them as the song plays.
It's not perfect, but it is good enough to have a stab at most things. Certainly the easiest to use program of its kind I have found.
If you don't have Winamp, you can just install it only for analyzing particular tracks.
My high score is 43, only because I have a Droid X (relatively old phone) so the game runs slower than it should, making it easier. Or maybe because I played a bunch of helicopter when I was younger (flappy bird is essentially a rip off of this game).
How often do you have to rotate pictures in your browser? Zoom is ctrl+ and ctrl- as always.
FVD suite. (Flash video downloader) works as advertised, just not on youtube due to chrome webstore regulations.
I've been using Tagscanner until now, the interface might have a learning curve but it's got everything where it counts. I'll check out Picard too tho, can never have enough..
Are you just guessing on channels or using an actual scanner app? This was well worth $4 for me to find the cleanest channels at various locations...
AdBlock Plus is open source, too. ;)
https://adblockplus.org/en/source
Though I continue to use it, I think switching to uBlock is a perfectly valid option for a perfectly valid compliant. Personally, I'm fine with "non-intrusive" ads because my intent with AdBlock is not to block advertisements entirely but to fix websites that have a tendency to crash because their advertisements are so heavy.
There was a sale on R9's 280x the other day. Less than $125 iirc

Oh, heck...Grant's Pest Control Stakes are no longer made! What a drag. Those things worked really well. These appear to do the same thing...maybe they're worth a try!
And for blocking ants...use a spray cleaner like 409 or Fantastik. But here's the key...don't clean up the mess. Spray the whole line of ants with the cleaner and leave them. In my experience, the ants will clean up the bodies and then never return. Probably something about the horror of seeing their comrades half-dissolved seems to dissuade them. Ants aren't stupid.
Ok. Now. Right now. While you are thinking about it. Order this. And NEVER have this issue again.
Also you will figure out that chop sticks are indeed multi use easy clean tools.

> alcohol is pure carbs and sugar more or less
No it's not. It's alcohol. Sugar is a carbohydrate, so your "pure carbs and sugar" makes no sense. Alcohol is a byproduct of yeast consuming carbohydrates. Depending how long it's sat in secondary, it may have practically no carbohydrate content.
Generic fast-fermented lager: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=beer+nutrition+facts
7 g, out of 360 g total. 2% is hardly "pure". And most of the stuff you see floating in a hefeweisen is protein substrate, not "wheat".
Sticky stuff remover is essentially the same product and available in the UK
I don’t think they sell the exact model I have anymore (I’ve had it for quite some time). However it’s “Krups” brand and they still make similar ones.
OP, if you have a few dollars to spare, get yourself one of these for Christmas:
You need an on-demand hot water system.
Your computer does about 98% of the work of opening a powerpoint unless it's massive and full of video or something. Most likely a borked office install or something else. Run a speed test and the results should be enlightening.
They should just supply the spoon for you and change as necessary. Inside joke, of course.

our outside mat is just a normal decoration, inside is "Please take off your shoes."
This is similar to what we use:
It’s only because I’m too lazy to stir the creamer in my coffee in the morning.
I have a Cooluli mini fridge in my bedroom to avoid this problem since I live on the second floor of my house and the refrigerator is like 40 feet away from me and downstairs.
My dad gave it to me over a year ago and I never used it because, well, I am 40 feet from my refrigerator anywhere in my house. But then I had surgery last December and going up and down stairs wasn't the easiest, so I plugged it in to keep drinks and snacks in it. It's tiny and doesn't hold much but it's enough so that if I got up in the morning and wanted a protein shake, I didn't have to hobble downstairs to get it.
Now I just keep regular cold drinks in there for lazy moments. It's portable and can plug into a car's cigarette lighter too so if I could track down the cord I could also use it for cold drinks on road trips without the need for a cooler with ice.
You can spend hundreds on a heated, scented, auto cleaning, etc etc etc thing, or you can just get a nozzle that uses your water pressure. You must be thinking of the Lamborghini bidet equivalents.
It's basically just a nozzle on the house water pressure. It has a dial that lets you adjust the pressure from nothing to too much to be comfortable, and you just turn it to a reasonable level and shimmy a bit then dry yourself with a little toilet paper.
If you stepped in dog shit barefoot, you'd put your foot in the sink or bathtub and rinse it off.
I'd ask your local police department how often this kind of theft happens before you start getting paranoid about it.
Different car manufacturers use different encryptions, even for different models of their cars. Anyone wanting to do this would have to be able to recognise multiple code series.
Then be parked in a position close enough to detect the transmissions they can actually replicate.
It seems alot of effort and money spent on equipment to make it worthwhile.
Not plugging any addons here for my benefit or anything, but if you use Chrome, consider installing Invisible Hand. It searches other websites and finds you the cheapest price for products on major retailer's websites. I clicked your link and Invisible Hand told me that Ebay has this printer for cheaper: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360415313542+
"I was nervous but excited, so I started singing a song called 'nervous but excited'. People just stared at me!"
You need a wire coathanger and some duct tape to fashion yourself a shower head hook beer hanger - something like this, only good. Keeps it out of the water's way and at an accessible height to avoid slipping whilst bending down for your beer.
Safety first.
FYI, all olives need to be cured as they are inedible when raw. The color difference stems from different harvesting times. I tried eating one off the tree when I was travelling through Greece ... yikes.
Edit: Just saw your reply down below, I had no idea! What sacrilege, says the person who thinks about naming one of her kids Olive/r because of the love for olives. You can buy olives dirt-cheap at turkish markets and avoid the terrible ones, I love the ones cured in olive oil and salt, they've very fleshy, mmhhhmmm, no rubber at all.
I know this isn't where people usually look for solutions... but check out Youtube Options.
You can set Youtube videos to start up with certain options checked (or unchecked) already. I have it set to load every video in 720p immediately. That way when I 'fullscreen' a video it doesn't have to jump from 360p to 480p and start loading again (who's fucking idea was that?) for those of us with slower connections...
