I'll second this! White noise hurts my ears & head, but grey noise does it for me. If you're looking for an app to get all of these sounds, I STRONGLY suggest the app called White Noise (linked below). It has all of the "colors" of noise that the OP mentioned, and a ton of other sounds that you can mix to your own enjoyment (including volume, orientation to you, and how often it loops) - things like running water, rain, wind, waves, etc. Also you can download a companion app to get truly endless sounds, if that is your jam. I've used it for years and am obsessed

Free, configurable, and without noticeable loop seams. The ability to build your own layered noise sets is nice. I find it especially useful in noisy environments.
Sorry, to hear you have to deal with this, I hope it gets better for you.
Do you have any sort of income or allowance?
I have a sometimes-noisy upstairs neighbor and one thing I do is to buy ear plugs from CVS with the highest DB rating I can find. They're usually pretty cheap.
That usually helps me a lot, but when it's not enough I also have a set of over the ear headphones that I use with the earplugs that I play white noise through (I like "heavy rain pouring"). The ear plugs dull the outside noises and the white noise covers most anything else.
Hopefully some of that will help.
My White Noise app has a "Starship Engines" sound I downloaded. Its already out there.
EDIT: here's a link to the app on Google play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full
Here's Apple App link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/white-noise-free-sounds-for/id292987597?mt=8
I'm not sure if there is a downloadable sound feature on iOS. I'd like to know if someone tests it out.

Comes with built in sounds, more can be downloaded from a companion app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.market
I'm not even sure what the in-app purchases are. I've never paid a dime.
You can create sounds mixes, which is nice. My favorite is mixing "Huge Waterfall" with "Lake Rain".

I use this app for white noise. It has a ton of different noises, including crickets and frogs. They're separate tracks but you can make custom mixes and set different levels for each track (at least on the paid version). Crickets have been one of the best masking sounds for me.
It's called, appropriately, White Noise. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full
You may also need to download the companion "white noise store" app to find the starship sound. Not sure if this is on iPhone.
This is my go to white noise app.
I use it when I'm hanging out with friends who snore, when music is playing just outside in the background, when their is sounds from another hotel room driving me crazy, etc etc etc.
It has multiple sounds but I'm partial to the fan, AC and vacuum.
I have never used the schedule but it does have one.

Mouth breather here. I have found that when I am not taped (mouth breathing), I am in a constant snoring (sleep apnea) adrenaline drip. Results = exhausted.
Our teen boys and I "tape shut" every night. A dentist friend reminded me that:
Mouth breathing - fight or flight mode.
Nose breathing - rest and digest mode.

We also use an old cellphone with a free TMSoft white noise app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full
Sounds weird, but for us it is like sleep magic.
Note: I have worked rotating shift for 40 years. I snored all the time. Found out I was waking up 900 times per night via sleep apnea (mouth breathing with an all night adrenaline drip). Now with taping up and sleep apnea machine I wake up 1 time per sleep period or less.
I think ambient sounds are a great idea, and if you don't want to dig through YouTube, try White Noise by TMSoftgoogle play apple store It will also let you combine sounds and iirc you can make them directional. Also get the White Noise Market app, because that's where you get the user uploaded sounds.
I think a YouTube playlist would be easier to click through once you make one, but an app like White Noise would be easier to get started with
you could even play them and then lower the volume until the sounds just barely register.
I agree that I don't always like songs in campaigns, especially from the last century. But I think it could work if everyone has the same taste
Ultimately it's what the group dynamics will allow, but if I were in a group, I'd appreciate the extra effort
YouTube also has hours long videos of various sounds, like...8 or 10 hours long videos of pink noise or rain on a tent. I like to combine the White Noise app's static "Pink Noise" and a star ship traveling thru space engine from YouTube, :-)

I use White Noise on Android and put together boat, heavy rain, ocean, and thunder and adjusted the boat and thunder volume volumes to be quieter than the others.
This is the main app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full and then there's another one from the same developer called White Noise Market where you can download like millions of other sounds for it. The main app lets you make custom mixes, my go-to is a waterfall + rainforest birds! And still lets me listen to podcasts, music etc. I also use this free meditation timer to ping me every so often to remind me to relax any muscle tension: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sohamgreens.MeditationTimer
I use the White Noise Android app to fall asleep which is similarly customisable.
I also searched the (completely free) accompanying White Noise Market that anybody has the biggest variety of rain sounds I've ever seen.
I still couldn't find one that I could use to fall asleep.
I strongly suspect that I am just too picky. Alas, I suspect that I only like the sound of real rain on my own roof.
So I guess my response to rain noises is kinda equivalent to your response to fan noises with one exception.
I really like the White Noise app by tmsoft for Android, has lots of options for noises and you can combine them if you wanna. I just throw on Rain on car windshield and drift off*
*caveat: your brain will believe it's sleepy time should you be driving in the drain. It is not sleepy time when you're driving.
I use White Noise and they have a free version. Not sure what the difference is - the free version is new.
I like how you can make "Mixes" of sounds, but the default settings they have where the sounds fade in and out and move around is very annoying - have to set those all to zero for every mix I make.
I also utilize the feature where it stops playing noise at a certain time, which I kinda use as an alarm - it wakes me up when the sound is off.
I'm at work where youtube is blocked so i can't watch that but there are apps with play sounds to help you sleep or relax, lately I've been listening to the sounds of the sleeping quarters aboard the International Space Station as I fall asleep.
White Noise: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full&hl=en
there is also a free version with a few limitations and ads.
Personal recommendation: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full
That's the paid version of the app, but there's a free version. I would personally recommend the paid version since it's such a large variety of sounds and options. You can also set alarms with the sounds to do other cool stuff. Personal favorite is Brown Noise for a deeper tone, but traditional White Noise is good at blocking out other sounds.
I use this white noise generator app on my phone. I prefer the rainfall sounds myself. It's great for blocking out stressful sounds. Although, I think it's still worth asking them to move the radio (in a jovial and self-deprecating way so that you don't put their backs up).
I have a Starship white noise sound for my phone. Check this app, get the store app to, and search for starship. Sounds just like that YouTube video posted here. I love it!

I own the app "White Noise" for this reason.
It's available Android and iOS devices:
I create a custom "Mix" of two sounds:
-1 Brown Noise
-2 Ocean waves
It provides the soothing comfort of the constant "brown noise' while also giving some variance that helps drown out any irregular ambient sounds (like an unexpected vehicle passing by outside etc).
It's really great. It's also very useful if you travel with kids and need an impromptu sound machine to lull them to sleep at an unfamiliar house or hotel.
My daily self care looks something like this :
It has honestly taken me YEARS to get this stuff together. I hope this helps someone! Here's what I will add... NONE of this was discovered via any medical professional or advice. Western medicine fails people with Tinntius. Like many will preach, Tinnitus is a symptom, not a disease in itself and I subscribe to that philosophy. The head is a complex machine and the ears even more so. Do not stop looking for the answer, because there fucking well is one.
Oh yeah, I forgot this one...
Alternative medicine sounds nice but in the end it's trying to treat something with substances that are neither tested nor approved. Go to a pediatrician, and if you want to try alternatives, discuss that with the doctor. They aren't necessarily against trying different things! If your pediatrician is the kind that just jumps to writing a script for everything, maybe try to find a new ped or a second opinion.
That said, at least in the US, a DO is effectively equivalent to MD. Naturopathic/Holistic "doctors" are non-science or pseudo-science, and really tarnish the title of "doctor" in the first place.
My daughter is also 5MO. She slept great for a few months but is now waking up more often. What have you tried to help yours sleep longer? Here's a couple things (not sure what you've tried already) that seem to help.
I have ADHD and so one of the best apps I've found is a noisemaker app simply called White Noise by TMSoft. I use it for getting to sleep at night, and as background/white noise when I'm working. It has multiple sounds and options like timer, etc. I couldn't live without it.
The other app I paid for is PIA VPN. I've tried TunnelBear and a bunch of other apps and like this one the most.
Finally, I paid for a subscription of Inoreader, hands-down the best RSS reader on the planet.
They make an app for that. Seriously. TMSoft https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/white-noise/id289894882?mt=8 (there's a Lite version too, which I think is free).
I work from home, so this isn't an issue, thankfully; I use it to fall asleep.
Seems it would work well in this application too, and it is volume controlled with the phone, so it can get quite loud.
There's an app called White Noise and a companion app that has all sorts of sounds. (It also comes in Lite and Pro.)
There's a website called Ambient Mixer that lets you mix sounds together to get different effects. It has a ton of pre-mixed sounds that are amazing. They also have a free mobile app.
Agree with White Noise. I use it when I sleep. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full

Brown noise as well as all kinds of other "noises" as well, and you can mix it up too.
These help me immensely. I use a rolling thunder storm one for android.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full
I can't really sleep without it
White Noise from TMSOFT which also has a White Noise Market

Then from there you can listen to:
Binaural Beats which provide different results depending on what waves you are listening, such as :
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Theta
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beat_(acoustics)#Binaural_beats

Since you are interested in "Focus", then Beta Waves are the right ones for you.

To be honest though,
I came to the conclusion, what helps me focus is actually what I enjoy listening.
We just use an app for white noise. If you are Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmsoft.whitenoise.full
They also have a free version
Is it any better than white noise ?
I did this in Stoke Newington - Albion Road - for a while. To be honest I never really felt I had a proper night's sleep as the sound of the buses struggling over the raised zebra crossing from early in the morning always disturbed me.
What I didn't have back then though was a good white noise app, ideally plugged into a decent speaker to provide a good sleep shield from the surrounding noise landscape.
Double glazing might take some of the sting out of the noise but this time of year I have my windows open due to the heat.
Currently living in a very quiet part of North London and I can sleep for England!
